Christmas Sangria Recipe

This recipe is great to have with brunch, Christmas lunch or with Christmas nibbles and drinks.

Mix together in a cool decanter, water bottle or bowl 1 cup of orange juice and I cup of pineapple juice. Cut in half and slice a lemon and an orange and add to the juice mix. Throw in a punnet of cut strawberries. Finally, add some chilled soda water or lemonade before serving. To spice things up for the grown ups, add a bottle of rosé instead of the pineapple juice. This will serve 8-10 people.

It is December and there are only 24 days till Christmas, this helpful checklist will ensure nothing is left to the last minute.

Countdown Checklist

 If you haven’t already, write a gift list and start shopping!
 Start writing and sending Christmas cards.
 Deicide who will be hosting lunch/dinner on Christmas Day.

 Put up the Christmas tree and decorate the house.
 Decide how you can give back this Christmas. This could be done through a donation to a charity or by creating Christmas hampers for the less fortunate.

 Get the kids to write letters to Santa and get a photo with Santa!

It’s hard to believe that Summer socialising can cause long-term damage to our bodies, but with a little planning, you can help protect yourself from premature ageing and skin cancer – enjoying yourself even more along the way.
This summer, follow these simple steps to protect yourself from skin cancer:
1. Invest in a gorgeous broad-brimmed hat
2. Wear clothing that offers plenty of coverage – we love long summer dresses & kaftans
3. Sit in the shade – you’ll feel better for it after a long day
4. Wear fitting, UV-protected sunglasses
5. Apply SPF30+ sunscreen at least 20 minutes before heading out in the sun. Reapply every 2 hours
6. If possible, stay out of the sun between 10am & 3pm
7. Sunbeds are a big no-no. If you’re after a gorgeous tan, there are plenty of great tanning creams on the market
