Ob/Gyn Chris Kuhne has a lengthy list of loyal patients who say he not only listens, he helps find solutions that other doctors have given up on. For instance, Mary Jane Lawrence was told she’d never get pregnant. After suffering several miscarriages she adopted twins. Mary Ann Smith, a 66 year old dental assistant says she has been on diets all of her life. When her husband retired he started cooking and Mary Ann’s weight skyrocketed. “My clothes were all too tight and I was determined not to buy a new wardrobe,” she says. “The first thing I noticed about Dr. Kuhne’s office was that he did not have a gigantic staff. He was reassuring and he listened! I’ve lost 20 pounds in 2 months and I get so much to eat I’m never hungry. Now I never have to even think about it. I will always be his lifelong admirer.”

Dr. Kuhne is one of very few physicians who has not and does not file insurance claims electronically. Despite so much ‘doom and gloom’ news about the real estate market, there’s a small local real estate agency that has not only survived –it’s thrived!

“We had the busiest January we’ve had since we opened our company in 2005,” owner Rebecca Cucovatz says. “New home building is starting to make a come back and spring is proving to be even better.”

It all started when Rebecca, with a background in accounting, invested in a piece of property with a friend. Before long she was hooked. From its’ inception, One Plus Realty has proven to be a fierce competitor in a market that until just recently was deemed stagnant at best by national analysts.

“The worst thing a person can do is walk away from their home,” Rebecca says. “That is a black mark that will stay on their credit for at least seven years. A short sale will typically stay on their credit for year. Most people don’t realize there are plenty of investors who are looking for investment opportunities.”

If a short sale is the only option, Rebecca is certified to speed up the paperwork. “Because the paperwork is so extensive and there have been so many short sales, the paper work must be perfect or the bank will often reject the sale.”

For many of us, one of the latest terms - 'multi-tasking' is appropriate for our busy lifestyle. But for many adults, the problem can be much more serious. They may suffer from ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder). A recent report, released during the ADD and ADHD Awareness Week, states that 60 to 85 percent of children with these disorders may continue to meet those criterias during their teenage years, and 50 percent into adulthood.

If you suffer from ADHD your mind is like a roller coaster. You're impulsive, talk too much and have difficulty listening. Always on the go you find it difficult to relax. When talking to people you constantly interrupt. You spend money recklessly, forget important dates and have difficulty focusing.

On the other hand, if you suffer from ADD you are easily distracted, lose things, are forgetful, disorganized, fail to complete projects and find it difficult to focus. You're inattentive, careless and a poor listener.

"It is a myth that only children have ADD or ADHD", Dr. Chris Kuhne says, "Because these disorders are often unrecognized in adults they are often misdiagnosed as suffering from depression.
