I heard another song from Family of the Year and instantly liked it. However that song got away from me but this one really hit a nerve. Its a blissful tune and music that doesnt often find its way to the radio airwaves. Enjoy this song and I’d recommend repeat.

About: Family of the Year hails from Wales but the band currently reside in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of two brothers Joseph and Sebastian Keefe were born in Wales, James Buckey is from Jacksonville, FL and Christina Schroeter is from Orange County, CA. Prior to forming Family of the Year members Joeseph Keefe, and Sebastian Keefe enjoyed had a following in Boston with a band called Unbusted and The Billionaires.

Family of the Year music can be described as a melodic mix of both male and female vocal harmonies. They definitely are along the lines of the Lumineers and Mumford & Sons with folk tale-style lyrics. The album is full of love and longing with the celebration of sound that's best heard while cruising along Highway 101 in California.

The family is currently on the road with Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeros in support of this album - look for them this Summer in a city near you!
