I finally figured it out.

2013-01-09T23:50:00.000+08:00

Finally I figured it out. Tinkered my blog today without an IT expert, and here I am now. Typing. So many words in my mind but I have to take this slowly. As you can see my blog is back in blogspot. This domain renewal thing is killing me, pressing my brain painfully. I just can't go to the renewal page. tsk.

Anyway, let the problem be the problem whatever it is. I have to move on. In the coming days my blog will be under a new domain name. I am using my hard to pronounce name. Lol.

I have to stop here. Meanwhile, I need to gather my thoughts and continue blogging tomorrow.

Bye!

Happy New Year by the way :)

Dear Google:

The above message was bugging me for nearly a month now. I cannot upload my photos. It says that I have to UPGRADE, which means I have to pay so I can have a 5GB storage.

FML.

I have a lot in my head right now. This additional paid storage is the least of all the problems that I have to deal with. Wrong timing dude. Please. Please. Please. All I want is to post my photos and pour my freaking thoughts out.

Love,

Me, who's now holding self from untoward breakdown due to absence of photos which inspires me and helps me express when blogging at this lowest moment of my life.

Surreal

2012-11-26T23:23:00.000+08:00

It's been four days since my father was laid to its final resting place.

It's been surreal since Day 1. I still feel like floating. Sleepy and tired. Sad and angry.

I don't understand.

I didn't know how I survived the rest of the days. I kept going and going. Errands after errands. So many things to do. So many tasks to finish.

My body feels like exploding. I wanted to cry and to shout but I can't. It seems like I'm loaded with anesthesia. Numbness all over me.

Right now, I am physically exhausted. Emotionally drained.

All I want is to sleep.

I survived Day 1

2012-11-18T05:57:00.002+08:00

Today is November 18, 2012.

It's 5:39 in the morning. I'm awake. I can't go back to sleep.

My father passed away yesterday.

I didn't know how I survived last night. Closing my eyes to sleep was the hardest part. I can't stop my eyelids from closing yet my mind won't allow it to shut. I can feel my body shaking every time I'm about to pass out.

It was difficult.

Crying was never enough. I surpassed the crying part. Now I want to feel some pain. I want to get away from this numbness all over me.

Today I have a lot of errands to do. Thinking clear and straight is a must.

Tonight, facing my father's remains will be another battle. Sleeping is again a tough fight.

I survived Day 1....

I can do this.

Monster High in 50mm

2012-11-08T23:15:00.000+08:00

My 50mm Canon Lens has been gathering dust in my cabinet so I played with it for a bit when I saw Mabe's Monster High doll Frankie Stein in one corner.

Just like Mabe's obsession with Monster High, I fell in love with this lens for so many months until I decided to purchase a Canon 28-135mm.

Nice clicking with you again 50mm :))

Halloween 2012

2012-11-03T22:59:00.002+08:00

Since Trick or Treat was no longer in our list, the Halloween Party at the DancePull Studio was our only halloween activity this year.

Mabe finally gave in to do the scary make-up. She's a vampire. (ruffled white polo shirt and black tiered skirt:thrifted hehehe)

A late Happy Halloween greetings to everyone!

Adieu Trick or Treat

2012-10-28T22:45:00.000+08:00

Trick or Treat no more for my girl.

She just said no and that's it.

I know this moment will come. The time your child drops everything that is kiddie. ugh.

It has been four years of fun and memorable trick or treating with you Mabe. I enjoyed it as much as you do :)

Adieu Trick or Treat!

Sweet

2012-10-27T21:46:00.000+08:00

Personally prepared and arranged the sweets corner in my friend's party for his newly baptized son. I had fun. I scored four vintage looking candy jars for Php63.00 (less 15%) each and three plastic cobblers for less than Php15.00. Baby strollers around Php20.00 but originally pink in color so I have to spray it with blue paint. Candies were cheap, bought it from a wholesaler.

Sweet!

Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk 2012

2012-10-16T00:51:00.002+08:00

Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk. October 13, 2012. Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines.

Three (3) Teams joined the annual photowalk. Our Team assembled at the New Government Center, Circumferential Road, walked all the way to the Capitol Lagoon in Lacson St., passing Burgos Cemetery and Bacolod North Public Market.

My photos just proved that I am definitely not a morning person. Lol. Three hours of sleep and morning heat...goodluck.

Ballet experience with Victor Ursabia

2012-10-15T23:15:00.002+08:00

Last weekend has been a good experience and a busy one for Mabe. She finished the 3-day workshop with ballet master, Victor Ursabia. The workshop was held at the DancePull studio and ended with a short culmination program and photo exhibit opening at the Negros Museum.

Masskara 2012: A Blogger's Mind

2012-10-13T00:12:00.000+08:00

All the photos were taken last year both from the streets and the performance arena at the Bacolod Public Plaza. I got a Blogger's ID, my friend Owen helped me secure one from the Tourism Office.

This year however, I might not get photos from the areas where I wanted to. One needs to join the Photo Contest of a camera club to secure a Photographer's ID unless you represent a Media Outlet for you to have a Media Pass.

This year, I will just be the spectator with a camera in tow, shooting at the street gutter. FML.

Yes. I am disappointed.

What will happen to bloggers and photography hobbyist and enthusiast coming over to the city? Last year I met a lot of them who came all the way from Manila, Cebu, and Iloilo, spent their own money, without airline or hotel sponsors at all. What if they don't want to join the photo contest?

At this age of social media, how can the organizers forget that there are people in this city called Bloggers. How can you not know Bloggers when in fact, searching for 'Masskara Festival' photos online will lead you to various Blogs.

I want to suggest a Bloggers Registration or some sort (if somebody from the organizers read this). I know there are people who claim to be bloggers but do not even have a Blog. Open your doors not only to bloggers from Bacolod but those coming from other places.

I hope it's not too late. A week from the festival highlights, I believe there's still time.

To the Masskara Festival organizers, don't turn your backs to Bloggers and to Photography Hobbyist and Enthusiast.

Sick

2012-09-23T20:56:00.002+08:00

I hate getting sick.

I've been feeling ill since Wednesday, must be the crazy rain and heat and rain the past few days. I remember the heavy rain last Monday, I got all wet and just dried up while waiting for Mabe.

This Friday, I was completely ill, hardly out of bed but I managed to buy some medicines for myself (who else will anyway).

While in bed and nothing else to do, I discovered Viki, a free tv Apps with mostly Korean and British shows. Guess what, I finished Boys Over Flowers and My Princess! All in Korean but there's an English translation below.

I feel a bit better now. Tomorrow I want to go back to the gym and continue my work out.

I don't want to get sick again.

Rain today

2012-09-15T23:12:00.001+08:00

Rain today was good. It poured at the right time and made me and mabe dry.

I love rain. I always do. Only if I am in the comfort of my own bed with a tv remote in my hands or a good book to read.

Drenched in rain and wading the flooded streets of the city is an awful situation I wouldn't want to experience.

Home is where I want to be. Home where flowers bloom after each rain. Home where water puddles are clear as a mirror. I can almost see and touch the skies.

Rain made me feel good today.

Newborn Calorie Counting Freak

2012-09-09T23:06:00.000+08:00

I woke up last Wednesday morning, headed straight to the gym, and enrolled myself. After an hour of sweat, I went out and felt sooo good.

The next morning, I cannot get off from bed. (no laughing okay)

It's been days since the first painful day of working out. Right now, I am turning into a calorie counting freak.

Goodluck to me.

the fans of...

Mabe and her classmates this morning. All cheering for Misaki.

School activities and stuff until tomorrow, which means...NO CLASS. Yey!

Korean Thursday

2012-08-31T13:45:00.004+08:00

Yesterday we tried some korean treats.

Mabe asked me in between bites of her ice cream sandwich, 'ma, how come you know where to eat?'.

It's good to know she liked simple and less chaotic food places like me...and she wants to come back for the noodles :)

Have a great weekend everyone!
