Surah Kahf is recommended reading during the night or even the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah begins from sunset on Thursday evening, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset (Friday). In the Islamic calender, the night comes before the day. The recommended period for reading Surah Kahf extends from (after) sunset on Thursday to (before) sunset on Friday.

This Qur’an recitation is by Abdulrahman Al Sudais and includes the English translation/subtitles of Surah Kahf. The benefits of reading surah Kahf include protection from the dajjal, mystic insight and wisdom, and a light to illuminate between Fridays.

Surah 113 Al-Falaq (The Daybreak, Dawn)

[113:1] Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn

[113:2] From the mischief of created things;

[113:3] From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;

[113:4] From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;

[113:5] And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.

Surah 114 An-Nas (Mankind)

[114:1] Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,

[114:2] The King (or Ruler) of Mankind,

[114:3] The God (for judge) of Mankind,-

[114:4] From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper),-

[114:5] (The same) who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,-

[114:6] Among Jinns and among men.

It may not seem apparent, but there is a science behind good design.  Consider, for example, the spacing of words and the width of sentences.. if the text stretches too far across a page, as you come to the end of a line it becomes difficult to intuitively follow the next new line of words.  Correct use of colour and themes ensures prolonged comfort during reading, otherwise stark contrasts can strain the eyes.

Therefore, it has been our objective to provide the highest degree of customization that is reasonably possible.  Early developments have focused on theme switching functionality, so that you can select a pre-made ‘Skin’, and if necessary, to tweak it further by setting a custom text size, colour and font.  The variety of designs available at this stage has been limited to a minimalist white theme, as we refine and improve the core features.

New Homepage Design, Publishing System and Regular Updates

Up til now, all general content updates and changes have been manually implemented by editing the html source in notepad.  This made it time consuming and a hindrance to add new content.  However, with the new green ‘deep forest’ homepage design, is a new publishing system that helps automate updates and management of content pages.
