DNS!!

A stupid move by our government, that block the main 10 websites for freewares and web download. As almost all of the Asian prefer to download free stuff rather than buying due to low salary and high price for originals.

Thus websites like Warez-bb was a hot place to surf. You can get anything from there with serial codes or cracks for softwares.

The 10 websites blocked were:

I understand that blocking piratebay is to prevent piracy within the country. But blocking megavideo was a big mistake. Megavideo is quite similar to 'an unsuccessful youtube'. I have no idea why don't they block porn instead of megaupload and fileserve.

Now, there is a way to access these websites with the help of DNS. For now, I only found OpenDNS and GoogleDNS. I hope people would share ways to bypass these block. I also heard of VPN which is a little bit difficult than a DNS.

DNS is like your computer connect to a server eg. Google then to the block website that you want.

Here is some steps for setting a DNS:

Go the Control Panel.

Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center and click Change adapter settings (press manage network connection if using Vista).
Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:
- To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click Local Area Connection, and click Properties.
- To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click Wireless Network Connection, and click Properties.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click Properties.
Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.
Click OK.
Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference.
Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers:

For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4.

9. Restart the connection

For Mac and Linux Users, you can go to GoogleDNS to configure the connection. You may want OpenDNS link.

Summer 2011

Saying no more, there are not quite a substantial good animes these time. Production from BONES, J.C Staff, AIC and Sunrise had been showing good animes over the years. Lets start with anime which is season 2.

Baka to Test to Shokanjuu Ni

This is a must download anime. I estimated that this is the best anime for this season. The story is about a boy named Akihisa and with his stupidity to go through the obstacles in the schools. You can download season 1 from Cyber12, Minitheatre, and Animetake.

Nurarihyon no Mago Sennen Makyou

This is a season 2 for this anime.. This is based on manga.. A lot of people said that this is a good anime and highly recommended for people.. Although Studio DEEN produce some gay anime in the years but we cannot overlook this anime. You can download Season 1 from Animetake, MiniTheatre, Cyber12, and AnimeA.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Special

I watched this anime. This is a bit of moe and comedy. I would say that this anime is quite boring compared to others produced by J.C Staff. I cannot argue that it has a good song but the storyline was still bad for season 1. You can download the season 1 from AnimeTake, Cyber12, AnimeA and MiniTheatre.

Spring Anime 2011

Now the new season had arrived. This time, we will have plenty of animes to watch. Based on Spring Anime 2011's list(from theCartDriver.com). We managed to see that there is quite a substantial numbers of good anime and really bad anime..

Very Long list

Saying no more, we will start some of the review based on their synopsis and title. This time, we will have quite a number of Season 2 animes such as Maria+Holic, Seikon no Qwaser, The World Only God Knows,etc. Likewise, as I said in few other post, I hated Studio DEEN because the seems to like to show anime which is yaoi!!!(GAY) I don't know what's their problem. They came out some good animes in last season like Dragon Crisis and Kore wa Zombie desu ka?.

Lets talk about the Season 2 anime:

Maria+Holic

This anime is more to like yuri(lesbian) than a straight anime. but anyway, this anime is quite funny as the main character Mariya is a boy who went to a girl school with his evil plot to become the headmaster of the school. There will be vague languages which Mariya try to torture Kanako(main character) who is allergic to boys. The Season 1 can be obtain from Daiphyer, MiniTheatre and Cyber12.

Seikon no Qwaser

This anime is ecchi. But the storyline was great. As most of the voice actress is whom I had supported such as Aya Hirano, Aki Toyosaki, Minori Chihara, Yoko Hisaka and Ayumi Fujimura which all of them sing for the Ending of the Season 1. This is ecchi cause Qwaser(person with elemental power - from chemistry table) need to get Soma(breast milk) in order to boost their strength. The fighting scene is also good. You can get Season 1 from Cyber12, MiniTheatre, and Animea.

The World Only God Knows

This anime is quite recent. If not mistaken, this anime is shown in 2 season ago. The anime is adopted from the manga version and quite substantial of people watched the manga. This is a funny anime as most of the way for Keima(main character) to remove the demon from a person by making the person to like him. You can get Season 1 from Animea, Cyber12, and MiniTheatre.

This time, I can't recommend some of the anime cause it has too many good animes. I only assume most of the famous anime production studio should be fine i.e JC Staff, Xebec, Madhouse, Kyoto Animation, Sunrise, Seven Arc, P.A. Works, Nomad, Shaft, Production I.G, Studio Comet, Diomedea, Manglobe, and A-1 Pictures. I should include some of the anime for season 2.

Download Manager(JDownloader)

Well, i heard from a lot of people having their downloads unable to resume using internet browsers. This is because all the internet browser are quite equivalent as it doesn't have the function to as a download manager. You cannot aspect that the internet browser to have the functions as people wants their memory(RAM) and processing capacity to be as low as possible. With the functions in a internet browser, it will increase the RAM and processing of that application even you are not downloading. This may also slow down the computer.

We heard a lot of download manager such as Internet Download Manager(IDM), Internet Download Accelerator(IDA), Download Accelerator Plus(DAP) and many more. All of them has the similar functions that is allow resuming the downloads if the server permits. Even some of the download managers speed up and stabilize the download speed. However, they still need to input the .html of the site they are downloading. This may involve key in captcha manually.

Now, we have such a software called JDownloader(JD). It allow users to auto-captcha for some web server(such as Rapidshare, Megaupload, etc.). This may a good help as it allows auto continuous download if you went to sleep provided that the web server that you are downloading has the function of auto-captcha. JDownloader has the same functions as other Download Managers.

The JD shows the actual download speed. Although it refreshes the download speed and Estimated Time to Achieve(ETA) every 2-3seconds, it still show the average within that time. Some other managers show slow deterioration on their download speed as the download speed already drop quite substantially. This may be misleading.

It allow auto-captcha for few web server such as Megaupload, Rapidshare. Captcha could be quite troublesome as some of it are unreadable while some are quite long and weird words. As you are downloading a lot of small size files, you may find it annoying as you need to retype the captcha after a download.

Have you come across some of the website which do not allow you to right click on the download button to download using download manager? You may test with 'Uploading.to'. They have the unique style of downloading which do not allow any download managers to able to download from it. JD can solve all of this as it has a link grabber which allow you to download any files by putting the website for example 'http://uploaded.to/file/cv5kv0'. You do not need to put the the captcha as JD will generate the captcha by its own.

Do you have files such as mkv.001, mkv.002, etc.? You may find it how do I merge the files together. Well, it is not that hard. You may use HJSplit to merge them or download the files using JD which has the HJSplit software in it.

Better functions equals higher memory and processor usage. Having so much functions, this may takes up many memory usage even it is idle. Furthermore, it uses Java which may crash if your Java is not up-to-date.
If it crashes, you need to download again the files from scratch except for those that allow resumable. As all download managers allow speed up the download speed from 0.1-1% of the original speed. But JD do not speed up the download speed as it shows only the true speed.

Summary:

Advantages:
-It shows accurate download speed(some download managers show inflated download speed)
-Auto-captcha for some web server
-It allow all download from all web server(some cannot download from few web server such as -Uploading.to-)
-Allow auto-merging and auto-extracting the downloaded files(such as part01.rar and .001 format)
-Can be Youtube Downloader

Disadvantages:
-Higher memory and processor usage
-It uses Java to operate which may crash the software
-It do not speed up the download

Winter Anime 2011

Well, it already reach winter 2011 and the anime that be showing this round should be slightly better than the previous season. This time round, we will have 22 animes to be showing. Production such as Studio DEEN and Studio Pierrot takes the crown this season with 3 animes and 2 animes with 2 movies respectively. All of these anime are new except for Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season and Mitsudomoe: Zouryouchuu.

I change my mind about all the producer as most production company has their advantages. But currently, Madhouse seems to be having license to produce Marvel anime which I'm not sure that good as this is better to read the comic rather than watching it. Furthermore, all this anime is in Japanese and it makes it more weird.

But from the look of these preview, Infinity Stratos seems very promising this time with its good preview video.

Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season
This anime is more about shoujo rather than normal shounen. As what expected from Production I.G. which produce the best sequel which for Eden of the East. As of course its gonna be good. But this anime is easily available in the manga. So, not a big surprise for people who already read the manga. You can get the Season 1 from AnimeA or MiniTheatre.

Mitsudomoe: Zouryouchuu
This anime is more to a comedy-like anime. Its quite interesting in the sense that the story of 3 sister which have different characteristics. Based on the season 1 of this anime, this anime seems to be quite funny if you are quite young. You can get the season 1 of this anime from AnimeA, Cyber12 or Minitheatre.

Fall Anime 2010 - Overall

Well, it has been a bad season for anime. This Fall the anime is predicted to be not so enjoyable. As my last post on anime, I stated clearly that some of the animes are quite boring and thus I still stick with that conclusion. I would vote the Best Anime for this Fall 2010 to be Sora no Otoshimono Forte(as what was predicted previously). This anime is total comedy and fighting. The best part is that it has the ~chibi version~ as this is not able to see in most of the fall anime. There is a possible that this anime will come out for the Season 3 or continue in manga as the anime doesn't seems to end yet.

Another anime that should be highly recommended is Otome Youkai Zakuro. It also has a chibi version when the comedy atmosphere came in. This anime focus on love and comedy(as what normally what J.C Staff are doing) with a minor of fighting. This anime is also highly recommended by me. The anime indicate an ending but they might continue in manga or the whole story will be available in manga.

There is quite a number of good songs this time.The Best Ending Song for this Fall should be ED of Physic Detective Yakumo(Missing You by Lisa Komine). The Best Opening Song should be OP of Otome Youkai Zakuro(Moon Signal by Sphere). Well, there are some other songs that is quite good such as:

The Best Graphic is Macross Frontier The Movie. With this movie, it takes the spot of Gundam Unicorn. This movie will have its sequel by next season and it is likely to have the best graphic again.

The Best Original anime should be Fate Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works. Although that this is the movie of the previous animated series, but they totally change the storyline that focus on other character. Its something like To Aru Manjutsu no Index and To Aru Kakatsu no Railgun which focuses on the other character.

There is no worst anime as all the animes showing are average and almost the same.

Hardware Update - Dec 2010(Cooler Master)

This time, I wanted that write about Cooler Master. This is a brand well known as its cool ATX casing and huge cooling systems(including fans). As many know that this is not only their product they sold. These are what they sold:

ATX Casing

This is their main course of its business. You can see that they already sold more casing than their own fans. They normally produce a good air
flow for the casing to cool down and do not allow the computer to be overheated easily.

Coolers

This cooling system also apply to its CPU cooler, Chipset Cooler and OEM Cooler(such as Intel/AMD). This allow the parts like the motherboard and processor to cool down. You may also seen these product in your own home accesories such as the most obvious which is the graphic cards.

Fans

They produce the fans that suite their own casing. It come with many sizes as it able to fit the casing.

Notebook Cooler

This is cooling pad for notebook. Unfortunately, this is better than the stupid 3 fans that available everywhere. In some of my previous post I stated that if you want to cool down your notebook is by putting it between two thick book as it able to let the air flow to go through. But buying this Cooler Master's Cooling Pad, you can say goodbye to that two thick book. Normally, cooling pad need to be supply with using USB. If you don't have any idea of which cooling pad to buy, try Cooler Master. Just spend a bit more and you will get the result that you wanted.

Power Supply

As they do supply the casing, they also supply the right size and cooling system for the power supply. I have no idea in whether their quality of its power supply is consistent and powerful. This is because they just not their specialty in doing power supply. I think that there are better company that produce better quality power supply. But the good part is that they allow you to check whether how much power you need for your own CPU in their Power Calculator.

External HDD Casing

You all know that you can buy an external HDD casing with just USD $10. But do you know what is the difference between these casing? Well these type of casing has a lots of difference as it will not get hot and no leakage of the power supply will happen. No doubt that it is more expensive, but its worth it if you are using it for a long period.

Keyboard

???? never heard of it.. but it seems the same as others which is selling it.

Gaming Mouse

Well this is interesting.. As I went to the computer shop, I saw CM brand together with the Razer, Roccat and SteelSeries mouse. I wonder what it is.. Actually it was Cooler Master's mouse!! It was shocking.. They totally diversify their business. As normal gaming mouse the comfort of holding the mouse I would prioritize it 1st. While the dpi 2nd. You can say from the look of the mouse, it looked like a good and cool mouse. But actually it is not. The mouse doesn't cover all whole hand and it has 8 buttons?? Do you need it? Even a game of Counter Strike you just need 4 button. Are you think that this is for WOW?? No. This is for just normal use. I only can say that this is a cheaper version of a gaming mouse. It just cost USD $60 for a 5600dpi mouse. However, a Logitech G500 Gaming mouse is better that this and its almost the same price.

So, is it worth it? Not now. As soon they are good in this market, they might be better than Logitech.

P.S: Cooler Master has its specialty. Just buy what they are good at, not others.

Speed Test?

Well, I've been busy in this few months with some works and studies... Further, I have no topic to tell on as soon as I found out the list for ALL internet speed.. This internet speed varies from country or even service provider. You may make this free test in Speedtest.net.

Definition:
Download:
It is the speed that you actually download a file from that country.. For example, if you want to download something in megaupload, you may press linked to Hong Kong(if you are living in Asia), as the link will able you to know the exact download speed.

Uploading:
This is the upload speed. People may upload photos, songs or videos to any of the download host. However, people do not care about this as they think that download this is not that important.

Ping:
For instance, people might not know what is this. Ping is a thing that measure distance between one batch of files with the next batch. For example, sometimes you might be downloading something that the download came with a lump sum of files(MB) at one go and need to wait a while for the next lump sum of MB. This show that the ping is very high causing the distance between the two lump sum MB to be very far. This doesn't show good sign to every gamers as they need more real time and doesn't have too much ping..

This ping have an effect on wireless network or even countries. If you are having a wireless network, you may know that the signal may cause the files to be interrupted and this may cause the ping to go up. This happen to distance between two countries. You cannot argue that the service provider in a country is faster while playing the same game.. Much of the games doesn't use much of the download speed as Ping is more important.

Research:
As you can see that the download speed is what people gives important and doesn't know much about the Ping. You may have high speed but it doesn't show that it is consistently available at that speed. After reading about some of the newsletter in the internet, I wanted to know which country have the fastest internet connection speed?

Well, we know that Korean has the fastest internet connection as most of the internet games came from such as RO, Roseonline, Gunbound,etc. How about second? Hard Disk VS DVDs

Sorry people, I've been busy with some work to buy a Hard disk(HDD). After tons of research, I came into noticing that the price of the HDD is much cheaper than a DVDs. For your information, a 1TB HDD actually has 931.3225GB(1000000000000/1024^3). This apply to all HDD. You may not find that the HDD that you bought has the exact amount in it as it is written.

320GB = 298.023GB
500GB = 465.661GB
640GB = 596.064GB
1TB = 931.323GB
1.5TB = 1396.984GB
2TB = 1862.645GB

You can use a calculator to do this by converting this all to bytes and then divide by 1024 as:
1024 bytes = 1kB
1024 kB = 1MB
1024 MB = 1GB
1024 GB = 1TB

I presumed that everyone know about this. Am I stating the obvious? I don't think so, as some people still asking why is the HDD they bought lower than it is written..

Now, come to the main point of the topic. I was thinking of how to store my animes? However, I was thinking of DVDs and HDD at that moment.. so,I started to make a research..

Price:
The price of a Empty DVD is around RM1 or 0.3USD. Then, it gives me only 4.37GB(4.7GB/1.024^3). Thus, I started comparing the GB/RM for both of it.

DVD:
=4.37 GB/RM

HDD:
1TB
931.323 GB/ RM 170 = 5.32 GB/RM

1.5TB
1396.984 GB/ RM 265 = 5.27 GB/RM

The price of a HDD is way cheaper than a normal DVD. As the HDD can accommodate more space per money spent.

Deleting/Overwriting
However, the HDD permits overwriting the files and deleting it whenever you want. But for DVDs, you cannot overwriting the files. You may only do so as the disk is rewritable. However, for rewritable, you can only delete all the files in the disk and burn it again.

Lifespan
The lifespan of a DVD is around 5-12 years depends on the quality of the DVDs. This happen the same to the HDD as it will last around 3-10 years. Depends on the batch of production and usage of the HDD.

Reading Speed
The HDD has better reading speed as it allow to read at around 30Mbps as the total amount allowed by the DVD is roughly 12Mbps. With the advancement of technology, USB 3.0 allow HDD to read x10 faster compared to USB2.0.

Size(external)
The size of a DVD is small but fragile.. It may be broken into half if it was sat, or stepped. However, it was much lighter than ordinary HDD. HDD now comes with 1.8",2.5" and 3.5" but more or less they weight the same.

Convenience
Actually both are inconvenience as both of it has its size problem.. HDD is heavy and need power supply(for 3.5" only) and DVD need to be covered as it will not spoiled easily.

Brand
DVD are produced by Sony and Imation. However, HDD is produced by Samsung, Seagate, Imation, Western Digital, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Maxtor,etc. More or less the company is the same as mostly they are specialize in what they know best.

Conclusion: The price of HDD is keep on dropping. If you want to wait for future purchase, please buy HDD rather than empty DVD.

Microsoft Office 2010, Do we need them?

Well, many enterprise would rather or already familiarize with Microsoft Office. Their previous product, Microsoft Office 2003 was a big hit to everyone as you can see people use it for working and project works. As soon they came out Microsoft Office 2007, the better functions allow people to get easier to access the item that they want. However, this has a big impact to the industry as some of the old users find it hard to adapt to the change. The new features ease the new generation but for the older generation, it find out to be harder to use as they are familiarize with the previous functions.

Because of this, Microsoft also came out a product similar to the Microsoft Office 2003 which is the Microsoft Works. The functions is the same as the previous product and you can get it free in the net. But however, it cost way cheaper than the Office which just cost only USD $39.95.

You may not know that some of the newcomer has gone into the market such as Apple iWork and Google Docs. These one of the newcomer prevented Microsoft to be a monopoly in the market. Google Docs is free of charge but need to be online to do so. While Apple iWork is cheaper than Microsoft Office by USD $201(279.99-79.00). Thus, this is starting to destroy the Microsoft's market shares.

Do Microsoft's market shares get destroyed by this 2 newcomer?
No.There are people still stick to Microsoft as they are familiarize with it functions and its simplicity short-cut. Btw, you can get most of this free(with serial number) via Torrent/DDL. Since I'm using Microsoft 2007, I didn't like the Excel's functions as the previous ones produce better graphs although its quite complex. The newer one tend to have lesser function in the graph making and need to make addition function to it so that it looks really like a graph..

Whats the different between Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010?
Well, there is a little changes in its functions. As you able to update your 2007, you may also have the same functions in the 2010 version. There is not much different in 2007 and 2010. You may not feel that any of the functions that had changed. As 2010 version may fixed most of their bug in 2007 but this do not prevent us from using the older ones.

Do you want it?
Saying no more, I'm giving you all the installation for Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise + Serial number here. The Microsoft Office 2007 that I have got some problem. I only advise people not to install all of it and just the ones that you need. Currently, I installed Words, Publisher, Excel, OneNote, Powerpoint and Tools. It works perfectly fine. This is free as I get the program free too. I do not know that this apply to other versions as I didn't try.

Conclusion, you do not need to buy Microsoft Office 2010. You can use this Microsoft Office 2007 as it is the same as the 2010 ones.

The Fall 2010 just has landed and we are off to go. You may see that there is more anime in Fall compared to Summer. This time, there is also quite a number of Season 2 anime. For instance, Letter Bee Reverse, Sora no Otoshimono Forte, Arakawa Under the Bridge x2, To Aru Manjutsu no Index II, Motto To Love-Ru,etc. However, you may think that Summer is great with Highschool of the Dead. However, this time you will enjoy more Production from J.C Staff. Their anime mostly are unbelievable good.

The story is about Index, a girl which have super memory of all the church books(if I'm not mistaken). The story is quite funny but they focus on a guy that has no power at all but able to nullified other people power. Further, they have a side story 'To Aru Kagaku no Railgun'. Summer Anime 2010 - Overall

The anime series for summer have come to an end and I would think that this time, it sucks.. most of the anime has no plot and storyline. For example, HighSchool of Dead which was the best voted by all, which I do not like it actually because it do not has a punch that cause to my liking. And the storyline is too short between episodes. The anime was voted the best because this anime is one of the few related to bloody storyline and minor censored(I think that the people vote for the censored part more). The manga version is uncensored(or the DVD version) thus, more people rather reading the manga than watching the anime.

For me, I would like Setokai Yakuindomo and Ookami-san which has no storyline cause it is a comedy(normally comedy can come with/without storyline). I will wait for Ookami-san and Setokai Yakuindomo Season 2 which I think might come out next year or so cause the ending show some sign of it continuing. Unfortunately for Setokai Yakuindomo, there is possible that they will not came out with the second season because its available in the manga version.

I would say that the best song for this summer is the opening of the Legend of the Legendary Heroes (Lament ~Yagate Yorokobi wo~ by Aira Yuki). It has every punchline. The anime is quite good but the graphic quality of it is quite bad.. Thats the reason the anime is not the best for the summer 2010. The opening for Ookami-san (Ready Go! by May'n) is quite good too.. This goes same with Strike Witches 2's opening (Strike Witches 2 ~Egao no Mahou~ by Yoko Ishida).

However, the best OST I would think that Sengoku Basara.

The best graphic for this summer is the Break Blade(OVA). If possible, download the HD version and you will know what I'm talking about. The best of it was when he got the robot and the crystal break when he jumped up. Each crystal shows the best view you can ever get.

The worst anime is the Asobi no Iku yo! It has no storyline and what so ever. You will not enjoying it as it is not logical. The scenario will not happen in that coincidence and its not funny. The producer having no idea or direction where its heading. And you may fall asleep watching this anime.

Why go Pirated Ones?

The reasons of why people in my country goes into pirated animes is because of bad translator. You may say that the people working in the translation company for anime has no idea in Japanese as they literally google translate it.. Even some they left it blank or just repeat what the people are talking about in Japanese(not translating). So, literally people has no idea what are they talking about in between those words. Furthermore, the anime do not have any Quality Control as any mistake in the translation do not viewed.

As for my country, they have this censorship which is kinda stupid as if it has many bad word were cut out of the scene or no word/sound is heard. Why in the first place they try to aired it? Likewise people having influence through anime. Why do they cut out some important scene just like that to avoid the censorship.. This is fucking bullshit.. This is the reasons that people in my country do not buy original.. For me, I would rather buy the original DVD from Japan rather than here.

How bad is the translation? You may not know that the translation is as bad as the shit in the hole. I'm not exaggerating. Its the fact. I watched some of the anime and I was like stunned for few seconds. For I can only listen, although not able to talk in Japanese, but I can somehow know some meaning of the words because I've been watching j-drama without subtitle for 4 months. But however, the translation when into another meaning. For example, lets say a basic translation of English to Malay,"have you all get it down(while pointing at the blackboard)?" as it is normally assume to asking everyone whether they have written down the notes. However, the translation done by the company which goes like this,"Kamu semua sudah turunkan?" Well this sound wrong because it literally means that have you all drop down your pants? This is one of the reason why the anime is done so badly.

Quality? Please.. Some of the quality done in the country is as bad as it is... The BluRay version was not out for the country. As Fansubber able to get on hold of it and get a better graphic quality. As BluRay version normally comes with FLAC(7.1) which is better sound quality than the DVD AAC(5.1).

Some of this anime actually/literally took it from a fansub.. This is pathetic.. Who wants to buy the anime which able to download it, unless the person have no brain.. This is a problem. Internet in my country is unlimited use per monthly expense. Thus, its literally cheap if you can afford one. Its about 45USD per month. You can get anime easily from Animetake, Cyber12 and Minitheatre. Furthermore, the fansub of which the translator took was from a lousy fansubber causing major errors in the translation and no correction taken.

Boxes? Some of the maniac are collecting the anime DVD boxes as it may look cool. A piece of advice. Do not buy anime which is translated and put into a black box. It's totally a fraud.. It just look nice from the outside but for it you can only see the skin not the actual DVD box yet. As the box is just like a piece of crap wrapping the DVD. The black box do not have any pattern which what people wanted to collect. This may differ if you are talking about OST. You can buy the OST but make sure that there is a front page showing all the lyrics in Japanese and some few pictures of the anime.

As a piece of advice, do not buy anime CD/DVD from Malaysia. Try to get hold of it the US/UK version. as it is way better than the Malaysia ones. Its best if you able to download the anime that you want to watch rather than buying it. Other country may face the same problem in Malaysia. In addition, the anime that you download from should be in the famous fansubber. Not an unknown ones unless it is OVA.

Internet Explorer 9? Does it matter..

Well the launched of Microsoft IE9 Beta which stunned some people which the features is quite similar to Google Chrome. So which was the different? The different is the forward and backward logo and the file logo. So, do it worth downloading IE9.. the answer is NO... The technology of IE has come way back of Mozilla and Google which shows that Microsoft is slowing down its management.

Now come to this.. You may know that the more the toolbar on the browser will slow down the opening of the browser.. No doubt that the toolbar is more convenient for everyone but the speed has been slow down has been compensated with quick and easy functionality and higher RAM usage. But do not over install it until the vision to surf limited by a small place only. You may not be enjoyable to surf the web like this.

So which one has the fastest to surf the web? The answer is simple. Safari. They has the least application that one can have. Thus, the opening of the application is the fastest and same goes with the browsing. You may not agree that the browsing part but its facts. However, Mozilla has a better download manager as it will have more stable download. This does not apply to Google Chrome because if the ping of the connection is very high, the Google Chrome will automatically stop the download and assume that its finished. But however for Mozilla and IE, the download continues until it actually finishes. Yes, both has their pros and cons.

You can actually encounter the problem of Safari and Google Chrome with a download manager. But some of the download website such as Fileserve,etc. may not allow for any download manager functionality. You can say we need to cope with the browser itself. However, Google Chrome is widely use as the functions is just a basic browser should have and its free. I'm not sure that some of the browser still need to purchase or not cause previously, it need to pay to get it.

For suggestion, you may download and install both Mozilla and Google Chrome/Safari for its own functions.

Windows 32 or 64 bits?

This is a measure that everyone have no idea which to choose or the feature within it. Due to high Random-access memory(RAM) imposed to new computer, you may see that it comes with windows 7 64-bits. This is because the maximum amount of RAM allocated to a 32-bits(widely known as x86) computer is only approximately 3.5GB while 64-bits(widely known as x64), its 4GB or more. Having a low end PC, you may not think that RAM is not that important compared to processor.. I agreed as processor is the most important item in the computer but, RAM is equally important. The RAM is the amount allow the computer to multi-tasking. You can open as much programs you like until the maximum amount of RAM allowed for it.

'With more memory, you can keep more files and programs open at once without slowing down your computer. But having more than 3.5 GB available usually won’t matter unless you really keep a lot of things open at once.'

For example, playing a game of 'Crysis' would take up around 1GB of RAM(only one program, not include windows). Likewise, if you have less than 1GB, the game cannot be played. This will be indicated within the minimum requirement of the game itself.

The amount of the RAM varies from each OS. For example, Windows XP SP3 would assume to be 32-bits as the amount of RAM usage for the windows alone would take only 256MB where the amount will or may not be above 3.5GB. There is a list somewhere in the internet where I remembered that I come across one day which show all the minimum requirement RAM for an OS. You may also find the minimum requirement from Microsoft.

You may know that there are pros and cons of having 32-bits and 64-bits. For now you may think that 64-bits is better compared to 32-bits. You may be wrong. By having a 64-bits, you need to 64-bit driver for every piece of hardware installed on your PC or connected to it. Thus, it cannot open most of the file unless its supported by the 64-bits. As most hardware are now compatible to 64-bits but unlike drivers which can works in both. Beware that the hardware are normally tagged with a "Compatible with Windows 7" logo, which allow hardware come with 32-bits and 64-bits.

Burning your own computer?

I've been experiencing people burning up their laptop, HDD, graphic card, motherboard,etc. However, by simply not maintaining a good airflow in the computer and over using it may rise up the heat in the laptop causing massive disruption in the process.

Burning Processor

The review of PCWorld magazine just reminded me that some of the testing has been done to test how hot your processor can be. I've been exposed to a video which show which processor can support the system without a fan(for your information, any processor is supported by a standalone fan). This is the battle between the two giant Intel and AMD. Both of them got their good and bad. But on the case of Heat problem, Intel tend to be the winner as they able to function/playing Counter Strike(CS) after the fan was took off. However, some of the AMD processor cannot support any program/hanged halfway while some came into fire.

This is not what commonly found

This goes to HDD too. How do they get heated? This can get hot as many files was used related to the hard disk alone. For example, HDD1 is being used. Thus, HDD2 will not get very hot. There has been report of spoil HDD by some OEMs due to overheating. I know that this problem has not being resolved in some OEMs.

Burning laptop due to outperforming game

How about Graphic Card? This may be the 2nd hottest item in the computer or laptop. Please do not argue if you are using an Intel GMA. Even my Nvidia Geforce 8800M GT also getting hot while writing this post. This is normally due to poor airflow system or the graphic card is outperforming. For instance, "StarCraft II murdered your video card" this is the latest post by PCWorld stating that the game is straining the graphic card causing some computer to burn up. And this has no words yet by the producer to tackle the problem.

However, there is not much solution depends on the producer itself. For desktop, you may insert more fans or change the cooling system to water cooling(it is quite expensive and not really safe if you do so). For laptop, you may use a cooling pad. If you cannot afford one, you can try to put 2 books around 1 inch thick to hold in between the laptop(it is reminded that do not close the much of the holes of the airflow. This is to have air movement for the laptop which transfer at the bottom of the laptop.

Coloured Contact Lens

Damn, it has been a week of holiday and I feel like its a zombieland as there is nothing much I can do right now. I managed to find some information on something to research on. With the high connection speed, I was not able to download finish F.E.A.R 2:Project Origin which is one of the game that I wanted to play after around 6-9 months. But however, in the next few post, it will be more on computer gadgets and issues.

As usual, I will start off with some introduction about a stuff.. Contact lens are useful as it not to drop off during a basketball game or even soccer. Unlike normal glasses, contact lens are more convenient which its able to bring along in its container or easily available in the market.

However, I've seen some of the people wearing a coloured contact lens and I feel its creepy. You may not know this that the colour contact lens can change your eyes colour into any of the colour available. This makes it creepier as the background of their eyes are brown/dark colour and the lens which is green or blue in colour..

This do not look scary if they have light colour eyes

It not totally against it. This is their choice and I cannot control them.. Maybe for them, they think it enhance their looks by wearing a fake lens? For me, this look foolish and wearing a contact lens is for the ease to move around. Not in a way for fashion. If they wear it to scare people away, this is the best accessories. Other than that, I have nothing to say about this.

This it the way how to use colour contact lens

If any of the salesman/woman approaches me with this contact lens, I will never buy anything from them as I assume they are wearing a make-up like the picture above. Imagine people wearing this contact lens and approach you selling their products... they look like a freaking zombie. Just these stupid eyes that cause people to get scared. You do not need to wear like this to impress the customer. Customer is interested in the product and not you(unless you are a prostitute or gigolo). You just need to have a smart casual look is more than enough to impress customer. Even normal glasses is better than this.

I was downloading some of the anime and I realize that most of the anime loaded for direct download(DDL) were all from either megaupload, zomgupload, hotfile, fileserve, uploaded, etc. But which one is the best for free user? As most of them have a limit of a max download speed of 400kbps. So which one is the better one?

Well, they have their pros and cons. But I can't denied that I preferred to use megaupload, hotfile and fileserve. For a basic DDL web, it will able to upload 1GB per file, no parallel download, unlimited storage and file will be deleted after 30 days of last download.

Megaupload:

Pros
Widely use by others. Is one of the 1st sharing medium. It always has a constant speed and reliably always.
Cons
It is not perfect as it is. They have short waiting period of 45secs for the download. No parallel download available.

Hotfile:

Pros
Good for downloading huge file. Can upload 2GB per file. Most reliable as it has constant speed and it will not broken in the middle.
Cons
Long waiting time for the next download(about 30 minutes). No parallel download.

FileServe:

Pros
Mostly use now cause 2nd highest pay to the uploader.
Cons
The speed is not constant. Might broken in the middle.

Constant speed. Huge upload file(up to 2GB).
Cons
Long waiting time for next download. No parallel download.

Uploaded:
Pros
Fast for next download
Cons
Speed not constant. Can be broken at the middle. No parallel download. Small upload size(500MB).

Can resume download(if you use any of the download manager). No waiting time for next download.
Cons
Slow speed. No parallel download.

MediaFire:
Pros
Can resume download. Got 5 seeders. No waiting time for next download. Allow parallel downloads. Unlimited storage.
Cons
Slow speed. Can upload small files only(200MB). No earn per download by the uploader.

RapidShare:
Pros
Constant speed.
Cons
Small upload size(500MB). Not available in some times as the server is always full. 90 seconds wait for next download. No parallel download.

This is based on my place which has only 100kbps max download speed. As I know that megaupload can reach 400kbps as I experience it before. But this also depends on the uploader prefer as they might go for a higher pay ones. As a downloader, we cannot choose which to download from as it is determined by the uploader. Unless, the uploader upload in many of the DDL web but this is unlikely as the uploader wants to earn money which it is paid after 1000 download from the same DDL web.

P.S : Please help me to find more about the DDL web. This is those which are famous. I know there is still gougou for the chinese community. If not mistaken that gougou is more stable for its download speed and it able to resume the download.

Fall 2010 - Lists

Lol, it seems for too long that I took to write another post. I've been zombiefied by my exam results and the competition that i was playing. The time allocation had been made worsen. Other than going to classes(18hours), I was playing an investment game for about anytime available(around 26 hours), sleep(56 hours). I got about 68 hours to do other stuff. Some more that, no one give me an idea to research on what. I been forced to think of one title that I can find in the internet. However, recently I just finished the game and more time is available.

After looking in the web for the fall 2010 anime, there are plenty of the list which are different between one and another. But I found out this list is the most accurate one.(pic above) But this fall anime do not look good. But more update will be available about this. For now, do not expect any good anime in the fall except for

Anti-Viruses - Part 2

Based on my previous post, I think that most of the people is looking forward to this. The Free program which can easily available in download.com or their own website itself. There is limited functions that is being access compared to the purchased ones. But the most important thing is that it able to protect your computer from viruses. Thats what people wanted to see.

This research is also based on the previous post, from PassMark Team. They test for the same things stated in the previous post:
1. Boot time
2. Scan Time
3. Scan Time for SSD
4. User interface launch time
5. Browse Time
6. Memory Usage during Idle
7. IE launch time
8. Installation Time
9. Installation Size
10. Registry Key Count
11. File Copy, Move and Delete
12. Installing Third Party Applications
13. Network Throughput
14. File Format Conversion
15. File Compression and Decompression
16. File Write, Open and Close

As usual, some of the requirement is not really needed. The test requirement needed are:
Boot Time - When opening the Operating System
Browse Time - Scan Virus surfing the web
Memory Usage when IDLE - The consumption of RAM during Idle
Registry Key Count - The larger the registry, the higher the impact on the performance
Network Throughput - The time to download from web
File Write, Open and Close - The amount of time to do that

The others is not really important. Some of the requirement is taken off from the previous post because the free version do not expect too much on it. Things like Scan time is taken off as the time is needed to sacrifice in order for the free program. This is the same as the launching time for the program. The other one is the installation size is irrelevant as the program is relatively small as this is the limited function it able to use.

These are the program that used:

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

So, based on my criteria, the result from 1st to last(in order) are:
Boot Time - Avira, Microsoft, Avast, AVG
Browse Time - Avira, Microsoft, Avast, AVG
Memory Usage when IDLE - AVG, Avira, Avast, Microsoft
Registry Key Count - Avast, Avira, AVG, Microsoft
Network Throughput - Avast, Microsoft, AVG, Avira
File Write, Open and Close - Avast, Microsoft, AVG, Avira

Thus, based on the results, the ranking in order are Avast, Avira, Microsoft, AVG.
But for my opinion, the best free version should be:
Avira :
Best to scan, but they have the stupid indication that is very annoying. they can delete the virus if you wants. But they have slow response to IE launching. this is the same goes to Chrome and Mozilla. But overall of this is good.

Avast :
They have the least registry fix for your computer but the function is limited and the scanning is not that good as it does not have in dept scanning for the computer.

AVG :
They actually have high memory usage but I don't know why its ranked 1st. Really but other features are totally opposite what PassMark Team is doing. But the most important is whether it is reliable? From all of this free version, I would rank AVG 3rd but just below Avast a bit cause the features are quite competitive between them.

Microsoft :
You can permanent delete this if you able to. this is incorporated in the windows itself so normally you install Windows OS, this is included. But naturally this is useless.

This is not real depends how you use it. This may be from my perspective but this may defer from other user. All the anti-virus has pros and cons that you need to exploit it based on your needs. But naturally this is the overall of it. If you ask about other free anti-virus, please name some. but this is the famous ones.

Anti-Viruses - Part 1

I have been looking for anti virus for the past 3 months and decide which one is the best. Furthermore, I found a website(passmark.com). they provide most of the analysis and it also show which antivirus is the best.

I predicted ESET Nod 32 should be the best internet security while BitDefender should be second. But the analysis show that ESET is on 2nd place while BitDefender is at 5th place. Why is that so? The company tested the product for some requirement such as:
1. Boot time
2. Scan Time
3. Scan Time for SSD
4. User interface launch time
5. Browse Time
6. Memory Usage during Idle
7. IE launch time
8. Installation Time
9. Installation Size
10. Registry Key Count
11. File Copy, Move and Delete
12. Installing Third Party Applications
13. Network Throughput
14. File Format Conversion
15. File Compression and Decompression
16. File Write, Open and Close

Some of this which is important as this may cause problem in the day to day operation in your computer.
From my point of view, I would think that some of this would be relevant and others NOT. What I think relevant are:

The other has nothing to do with this as SSD is not widely used, installation time is not necessary, IE launch time is normally based on the Browser we use(normally Chrome or Mozilla), copy file is based on the hard disk itself(SATA/SSD), File compression and conversion is not necessary as most file you do not need to change it and installing 3rd party app. time is not necessary as people want to use it, they will wait for it.

* Norton do not use too many Memory Usage is totally bullshit.. The other program that support the Norton is taking more than others. Got people installing Norton cause their computer to lag rather if they install other antivirus.

I cannot argue as this is the presumption by the PassMark Team. From this point of view, 1st Norton, 2nd ESET and 3rd G Data.

But from my point of view, I would say that 1st ESET, 2nd G Data, 3rd Rising, 4th BitDefender.

You may not agree with this but this is fact. For those using Norton, no offence as this is what I see. People using your program has been complaining and deleted, changed to ESET. Norton please not to use other program that will take up the memory and don't focus on useless item such as scan time, installation time, file format conversion, and File Compression and Decompression.

P.S. Feel free to comment. Prove me wrong if I said about Norton. The part 2 will consist of the free version.

What Fork for?

I just observing people that people in the area that I'm currently at, they seem do not care the existence of a fork (for a meal of course). I agree if they having a take out or something like that, they have no plastic fork. For those they do, some of them do not even use it. I do not understand why... But this is essential for eating.. I understand if they are in the following circumstances:

1. No fork available
2. Save utilities(water bill) to clean the fork
3. They lost both of their hands
4. Injury

You won't end up like this

I'm not try to be offensive here. But this is true. If they do not use a fork, they cannot eat the food clean and thus waste food indirectly. I actually feel like saying 'you have no hands is it?' but it seems to be impolite to do so cause this is the way they experience their lifestyle. I cannot argue that cause they will like 'mind your own business'. So, no point for me explaining this. But for your information, try to use both of your hands. Do not strain just one of your hand, balance it out. And do not waste food. A grain of rice do have a value.

Summer Anime 2010 - Reviews

You can say that I’ve been living in a café in order to download anime and manga. Other than eating,sleeping and attending classes, I’ve been through Hell of scheduled timetable. I cannot deny that this is quite enjoying but it’s a bit tiring but its worth it. I can tell you all my schedule. Other than 18 hours of class, and 8x7 hours of sleep, I would spent almost 34 hours or more in the café per week. This is what I’ve been doing in this last 3 weeks.

I’ve been following 12 over 18 of the summer anime. All I can say that this summer, the anime is not that interesting compared to the spring ones. The anime that I followed are High School of Dead, Occult Academy, Sengoku Basara 2, Shi ki, Amagami SS, Ookami-san, Strike Witches 2, Asobi no Iku Yo, Setokai Yakuidomo, Shukufuku no Campanella, Sekirei 2 and Legend of the Legendary Heroes.

As you all know from my previous post on anime, I said about the another second season anime which is Kuroshitsuji 2. This anime I didn’t download cause the anime looks like a gay anime and its not my genre.

From what I’ve downloaded so far,

Ookami-san is funny, comedy-like anime. I really like JC Staff production as their anime is quite good.

Shukufuku no Campanella is also the same, comedy and magic.

Setokai Yakuidomo is also total comedy. But a bit dirty minded. But maybe this is funny for people at the age 18+?

Sengoku Basara 2 is purely fighting. A sequel of the previous one. But the Season 3 game already out and it is awesome.

Shiki is totally mystery type(quite similar to Higurashi). But more to a sickness rather than murder.

Occult Academy is a bit funny but focus on mystery.

Amagami SS is all about love story.(game version) This anime has a bit no point of downloading

Asobi no Iku Yo is all shonen manga had. Ecchi here and there, fighting and a bit comedy.

Strike Witches 2 is totally MOE~~

Sekirei 2 is just fighting, Ecchi, Comedy.

Legend of the Legendary Heroes is a bit cool but the graphic.... nothing to say. you can say that their graphic sucks hell..

Then, most voted by people at large is HIGH SCHOOL OF DEAD! It something like resident evil and they are in the school.

P.S. I think that I will stop this anime/ manga download as there is no respond and suggestion on it. So, I'll focus on researches and reviews in my post. But here and then, I might post of others than research and reviews

Kaichou Wa Maid-sama

Lets start off with this manga. This is a shojo manga(girl's manga). But the storyline is damn good. You may know that shonen manga mostly is fighting and a little ecchi here and there. This one is also has the traits but the story is definitely better. As people with the exposure of shonen manga only, this is a great start off for you.

The manga can be get as follows:

Volume 7,8,9* & 10* : FileServe
*Volume 9 and 10 is not yet organised into volume. I assumed that its total 160+ pages long(same as other volume).
