「東京国際キルトフェスティバル」に募集してみようなどとどえらい事を思い立ったため、9月30日の締め切りを控えてこのところ焦り気味。なにしろ肝心のキルトはまだ一針もさしてないのですから。

ともすれば、かっとなる気持ちを静めてくれるのは、私が昨年刺し子を始めたと知ってハワイの友人が送ってくれたピンクッションです。ハワイアンキルト模様のピンクッションは、針を突き刺すのがためらわれ、まだ、ビニールのカバーに入れたままです。それが幸いして、作業中、常に見える所に動かす事ができます。

今朝、急に涼しくなりました。暑い間は水遣りだけでもフーフーだった庭の植物類もゆっくり観察できるというもの。

そこで見つけたのが大きなステファノーティスの実。大きさ、色、形　すべてアボカドそっくり。

記憶をたどってみるとハワイで垣根にステファノーティスの実がなっていたのを思い出しました。

しかし、ここネブラスカでもお目にかかるとは。なんとなく「縁起がいい」とこじつけています。

最近は和歌山で研修を受けています。
始点の難波から終点の和歌山市まで片道1時間。
一方、関西空港に行くこの特急ラピートは早くてかっこいいです。
