Exactly what I was looking for. A big plus is the long cord. My truck doesn't have a rear 12V plug for the rear passengers. This adapter's wire is long enough to go from the front dash to the rear seat in a Dodge Ram Quad Cab and still have enough wire to move around.

My kids lose these pens all the time, I was happy to see replacements under $5. There are other versions that include an actual ink pen, but that would be trouble in the hands of a 2 yr old. There are vanity versions in odd shapes, such as a Star Wars life sabre or a version that curls around your finger, but those don't fit into the native slot on the DS. Then there is the plain old replacement, this one, that will do just as well as the one that came with your device and fit nicely into the slot. Perfect!

I bought this set for my teenage boy. So far he is happy with a quality. Styluses fit console exactly like the original ones from Nintendo. Case fits three cards, locks good. Even though it should work great for carrying cards, be careful not to loose them while opening this case, since there are no latches to hold cards in place. Overall, great value for the price: I couldn't find better deal anywhere else.

I bought this item for my little girl and she loves it and is a great started kit for the DS. The case is semi hard and will help with those hard drops to the ground. The charging dock is a good place for the "where it goes when your done" the car charger and ear peices are needed for those long trips in the car, so it keeps them busy and cuts out the noise. It is very excellent at protecting your DS Lite. The case is very secure and will not allow your ds lite and the games to move around greatly reducing the chances of damage. My only complaint would be is that because of how snug the Ds lite fits in to the case, it can be a little hard to get it back out, but because it is snug is what helps keep it protected. It is also a very good size for traveling.

This is an excellent case; fairly dense rubber inside, hard plastic shell exterior. Easy push-button latch. Clever interior storage for game cartridges, SD cards & extra stylii. My 9-year-old begged for this "armor" instead of a case. He likes the look of it, and it does offer a great deal of soft cushiony protection around the top, bottom and front of his game. My preference would be for a better design in the back along the hinges, because there are only two pieces of foam about the size of a dime along the back, and they tear off very easily. I also can't fathom why they didn't design it in such a way that there is a small pocket or slot of some sort along the top or side edge for an extra stylus and/or game. That would make it much more usable and versatile. For what it is, though, it's a good product. :)

I have a 5 year old and this is perfect for him. The DS has survived 2 summer vacations and the associated drops without a scratch. It adds significant thickness but for a kid that almost helps-my son can hold it better with the case.

The only drawback is that the nerf material can be bitten or ripped off especially on corners. Watch out for younger siblings Or pets who like to chew.

This is a decent product. The application is very easy if you know how to put a sticker on a flat surface.

My only complaint is that it's not as durable as I thought it would be. I had the touch surface shield scratched within two hours after I applied it to the screen. It's lasted since the scratch, and I've only managed to put a few more on the shield (at least it wasn't directly on the DS!) but overall, for the price I paid for it, I got a decent product.

"Cheap, expensive substitute" 2009-09-24

Don't be fooled by the pretty picture; this is a set of CTA brand pens that are rather flimsy and very cheap looking. For five dollars, at least six pens should be offered for this quality of plastic. The official Nintendo stylus pack is about the same price, will actually match your DS's color, and won't have "CTA" written boldly in black. Honestly, this level of manufacturing is what I'd expect to find at a dollar store - find a better substitute you won't have to worry about tearing up your DS screen.

"The small cloth is the only thing I'll be using..." 2009-08-22

I just took these screen protectors out of the box to put on my DS. They included some brief instructions as well as a cloth to wipe off the screens--a nice addition. I didn't bother with the top one so I can't comment on that (it actually states in the DS instructions to only put screen protectors on the touch screen), but I wasn't too happy with the bottom screen protector.

The screen protector doesn't have any sort of sticky residue or anything like that. It peeled off nicely and was easy to position on the screen. It wasn't until I finished placing it on the screen that I started having problems. I had it all pressed on nicely and removed the outer sheet only to see several air bubbles around the centered "Peel Me" sticker. Following the instructions, I first tried pressing them out with my fingers. I also tried using the stylus. Neither worked to well for me, so I thought I'd try to peel it off and re-place it. So again, I consulted the instructions. According to the booklet, to remove the screen protector you just need to apply some clear tape to a corner of the screen and slowly pull the tape up. Well, I worked at it for about an hour and even tried clear packing tape. I finally gave up trying tape and pulled out a dull toothpick, which--with some caution--did the trick.

So as of right now, the protectors are back in the box where they will probably stay. I wasn't extremely happy with how the protector felt when using the stylus, and I thought screen looked a tad bit blurrier. Overall, I wouldn't say this is a bad product, but I did have some problems with it. And really, if you use a proper stylus when using your DS, and keep it closed when not in use, you shouldn't really need a screen protector in the first place.

I get the idea that some of the reviews are submitted by the manufacturer. Excuse me for being cynical, but this product was not that easy to apply.

I appreciate the reviewer who stated that you get one good chance at the application...and I failed at it. I am usually pretty good at this kind of meticulous simplicity.

Covering the touch screen was my main concern and when I carefully followed the steps in the instructions I thought my endeavor would lead to success. However, my attempt failed when a blue microfiber unleashed itself from some unknown gallaxy wonderfully petrifying its buttocks between screen and filter. And after prying the filter off and trying to scratch the fiber out, it just failed and looked worse. At $7.00, you think you would be blessed with two chances.

I bought these screen protectors mainly to help the feel of the bottom screen which has sustained a few scratches that make a scratching sound when the stylus goes across them. When applying I read the instructions in full and followed them exactly. I applied the top screen filter first and it went flawlessly, not one air bubble not one speck of anything. I then went to apply the bottom filter; a completely different story. During application I began to get a few air bubbles which is easy to counter, just pull the filter back until they go away, but during that a couple of pieces of dust settled on the screen. Pieces of dust SO small that I couldn't see them during application. When I finally got done with the bottom screen I expected the same look as the top screen only to be greeted with bumps of dust. Of course, I try to follow the directions about taking the filter off with a piece of tape. Tape did absolutely nothing to release the vice grip this filter had on my DS touch screen. Finally getting the filter (with a pointed metal object) off I attempted to use the tape to get the specs of dust off the adhesive side of the screen just as the directions suggest. That only added more dust and eventually about an hour later I just threw it in the trash. The basic sum up of this review: You better hope you can get the protector on quick enough before something settles on your adhesive side of the filter, because if you don't you may very well be out of the money spent on this package that only has 1 of each screen protector. In other words, there are no re-dos with these. Enjoy!

I purchased this items to protect the screen of my childrens (5 and 10) new DS. One, they do not fit well. Two, they did not stay on my youngest DS. Now this could have been just him, however the fit issue is the biggest downfall for me. Since the covers extend out the edges remain raised off of the screen which makes it difficult to use the pen on the outer areas of the screen. Yesterday I purchased a Nintendo brand cover from a store and had the same fit issue. Frustrating!

"Horrible screen protectors!" 2009-09-21

The kit is fine, I like the color, the carry case & car charger BUT the screen protectors are of very inferior quality. There are only 2 of them and despite my delicate handling, they both were ruined beyond use!

The stickers on the screen covers don't come off!! You are left with paper stuck on it which you can try and scrape off but will definitely ruin your'e screen doing so. The second screen protector, I figured Hell, I'll let the sticker stay on, and the glue on the sticky side of it came off as I peeled it from its plastic backing!! I was so irritated, the screen covers are probably the most important accessory you need for the DS and this kit leaves me feeling frustrated and cheated in a way!

Delivery was super fast, if you don't care about the screen covers go for this else look for a better quality one.

The compact, yet functional size of the case (approx. 6 x 3.75 x 1.5) allows me to drop it in my purse and have my DS Lite on hand at all times for any unexpected down-time...ex. waiting around while having your car serviced. The cobalt blue color makes it stylish and I have found the case to be very durable and well made.

I like the idea of the individual game holders and although the kit comes with four of them, there is room to fit 6 games in the case along with the headphones. This might be a tight fit for some, but again, I'm not wanting to accomodate a carry-on sized bag just to carry around my DS.

The extras that come with the starter kit are "nice to haves". The stand charger has a really cool blue glowing light when plugged in and is not at all flimsy. I would highly recommend this starter kit for Adult DS Lite owners such as myself.

The "tests" are fun to take and can be frustrating at times, but there is a sense of accomplishment when you see the improvement from beginnig till now. The good news I can still score better than my grandkids. First time I took my brain age test I was 82, I'm now 52! Pratice does help. Helps to follow instuctions (my wife loves that). Could do with a little less or different "conversation" from the doctor though.He "says" the same thing every time!

Have not used the first version of Brain Age.

This is entertaining, varies in challenge level, and probably does stimulate the brain as it claims.

Has some neat little "games", or training challenges.

I like the Soduku games. But it would be nice if there were more, or if you could download weekly puzzles.

I can always do the Soduku puzzles over again. It's not like I will remember the exact answers/layout from the first time.

I babysit my sister's kids a lot and I'm very concerned about the kind of games they play at home. Always playing games, shooting and killing zombies, all that kinda stuff isn't doing much for their education. If anything, it brings it down, they never do their homework, because they are too busy playing games. Well, at my house this game is one I don't mind them playing, and they actually like it. They learn new things in a fun and interesting way without it being boring. It's great for kids and I'm really glad I got it.

The DSiWare
In the world of software, Nintendo DSi will be the platform for the most relevant and fun on-the-go games and applications. The Nintendo DSiWare application will populate Nintendo DSi with software that can be downloaded using Nintendo DSi Points directly to the portable system, just as WiiWare has with Nintendo's Wii console. Games and Backwards Compatibility

Got the DSi for my daughter and I was reluctant at first since the DS was cheaper. I was also reluctant because I hate seeing kids (and adults) not participate when they could because they're too busy on their DS. But this has been a great purchase that I don't regret. With all the extra features, for example taking pictures or drawing-- the fact that my child only has 1 game right now is not a problem because she is entertained w/ all the other things the DSi can do. As a matter of fact, my daughter wasn't even able to afford any games for the first couple months but was able to use her DSi for other things. She is totally happy with it and so am I.

In my opinion, the Nintendo DSi is a major step up from it's predecessor, the Nintendo DS Lite. Even for those who don't wish to give up their Gameboy Advance slot, it can persuade you to re-think your choice upon using it, especially with one of it's new dsiware games, one that is completely free in fact. I'll get more into that in a moment...

The DSi can boast a SLIGHTLY bigger, brighter screen (though I don't care much for that, it wasn't a big pro for me to buy the DSi)and the sound is slightly louder- but the big catchers are the cameras, DSi shop, and internet browser. The cameras aren't high quality at all, but the act of taking pictures and being able to play with them makes for some simple fun. With two cameras, one on the inside, the other on the outside, you can get images of yourself or others and let hilarity ensue.

Examples of this are:

-Putting a Mario hat, nose, and mustache on the picture subject.

-Adding whatever "graffiti" you wish onto the picture.

-With the camera locking onto the subject's face, you can give them a completely different emotion than the one they originally had.

-There's even an option to take a picture of you and another person together and it telling you how closely you two look alike or are "related".

Those are simply a few out of the many different ways you can mess with the camera, all equaling to a lot of fun and A LOT of giggles.

The DSi internet browser works well as long as you're not expecting it to run as fast or as fantastic as a laptop/desktop computer... this is only an internet surfer on a handheld after all. It's very simple to use and makes things even easier by allowing you to save favorite websites so you won't have to bother typing them again and again.

However, the largest pro for buying the DSi is definitely it's DSi shop. It carries many fun games-my personal favorites being Dr.Mario and Warioware: Snapped!-and an intriguing "game" recently released, which is absolutely free: Flipnote Studio. Flipnote Studio is a little animation powerhouse that lets you create your own animations and with the ability to go online, share them with the world on Flipnote Hatena. The animated pieces you make can be drawn, be pictures you've taken on the DSi, and can even have sound added to them to make a short-cartoon, music video, etc, etc.

On Hatena Flipnote, (the website you can get on through the DSi in Flipnote Studio) it's quite like an all-animated version of Youtube. You can rate and even comment on favorite flipnotes by people all over the world. Quite frankly, Flipnote Studio could easily be the thing to persuade you to just let the missing Gameboy Advance slot go, it's honestly THAT fun. Besides, Gameboy Advances sell for just $20 at Gamestop so it wouldn't be too hard to buy one to play the Gameboy Advance games you wish to hold onto.

The only cons I can find for the DSi are:

-If you're heavy into Guitar Hero for the DS where the Gameboy Advance slot is needed OR you're really set on transferring Pokemon from your Gameboy Advance to the DS then the DSi and it's lack of Gameboy Advance slot just isn't for you.

-Personally, I wish they'd shoot out some games that implement the DSi's camera function. It seems to have so many possibilities that haven't been opened quite yet.

Beyond that, all I have is gushing compliments for the DSi and whenever Gameboy Advance lovers play it, especially after trying the Flipnote Studio, they end up dropping the old DS and upgrading for the DSi. I'm an adult gamer and absolutely love my DSi, I take it everywhere with me. If you're a Gameboy Advance fan- before you knock it: try the new one, try the camera, and try it's Flipnote Studio- if none of that makes you think twice, that's okay- but I'd be surprised if it didn't make you consider upgrading even for a second! ;)

I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled thinking about buying a new handheld game system, but what are you going to do? A new system comes out to replace the old, with upgrades ... an obviously better system, and because of the ages of our two younger kids, I determined this would probably be a lasting investment. S0...for our older son, we bought this system for his 11th b'day. Last Christmas we bought another that our younger daughter, our younger son, and I share.

This is truly better than the older handhelds by Nintendo, and I was really glad we'd be able to play our old games on our new system. One of the biggest problems I had with the older game system was that it was SO hard to see! I didn't even bother with it because it was so dark. With the DSi, both screens are illuminated very well. I've never encountered a time when I can't see. Everyone's been happy with the battery life of the DSi - which is really important for us with 2 boys who keep misplacing the charger! When homework's not done, or if the boys misbehave, this is a great motivator. They really like to play, and the thought of being w/o their games for days or a week is just too much, so they're pretty well behaved most of the time, and usually have their homework done and ready to be checked when I ask to see their binders! That's something to cheer about! Vacations - Ahhhh! Long car trips - blah! Our boys won't go on trips w/o their DSi's! Before the DSi's our boys weren't in a panic if they couldn't find every component before we left for vacation. Now they're finding everything they need and getting everything organized days before we leave!

Long car trips have been made more bearable with the advent of handheld games, but MUCH more bearable with this one! For them and for us! They enjoy the games, and we enjoy the fact that everyone's is getting along and behaving!

The last thing I'll coment on, since the # of reviews hasn't missed much, if anything! The games for the DSi run the gamut from pre-school games to very adult games -which are inappropriate for our kids. There's really something for everyone out there, and you'll find everything from pure mind candy, to learning games, and brain agility. It really is THE handheld gaming system for families! We've all really enjoyed this system, but the boys especially, who are 6 and 12. They prefer it to the Wii, the Playstation, and the other game systems which have come before this one.

I rate this a 5 star for enjoyability - as explained above, education/learning - because there are plenty of learning-type games which are really a lot of fun, durability - because they've withstood our two boys and still in great shape, and lastly ... longetivity - because this is the LAST game system we'll buy till our youngest is at least 10!

You'll see some reviews talking the DSi up, but then recommending that you not buy it if you already have a DS.

That's ridiculous!

This system is worth the money to upgrade!

The wireless internet is worth the money alone. It isn't a computer, obviously, but the interface Nintendo uses works well enough for the system. Plus, it's convenient to have if you just want to look up something quickly on the go.

The photo features are fun as well, but not as easy to use as commercials might lead you to believe. That being said, I haven't read the manual or really tried to figure it all out. However, what I have figured out is great.

The enlarged screen and better sound are a plus as well, although I haven't actually tried playing any music on my DSi.

I'm sure the USB card reader is a nice addition, although it appears to be largely for the music feature.

The other cool changes are an actual power button and a button volume control - the days of aimless sliding are over!

I definitely recommend buying this system as both a new DS(i) customer and a DS customer looking to upgrade!

I decided to buy this on a whim after seeing a review that the DSi is considerably better than the original DS. I haven't really owned a portable Nintendo system,or Wii, or Xbox, etc. since I was a kid but I loved my Gameboy when I was in grade school. I am a woman who is 26 but still loves to play computer and video games and probably always will. Since I had planned on purchasing games like My Word Coach, Brain Age 2, and My French Coach, I figured that it would be good for me and that I would be learning and that shouldn't be considered a waste of time. I saw commercials for games like Brain Age and Mario Kart and they looked like a lot of fun so after finding a discounted DSi with free shipping I figured what the heck and just ordered it. It is a blast to play and my younger siblings and niece fight over who gets to play it when they see me. It fits right in your purse or bag and it's great when you are waiting in line or bored at work and has lots of features like internet, a camera that lets you draw and distort pictures, and a voice recorder manipulator that they love to play with and find hilarious, although I just use it for the games. Only thing is that it can be very addictive and eat up hours of your day if you get too sucked in and sometimes my eyes get tired after playing for so long. Overall I'm happy with it and it can bring the younger family members together in a fun way but usually when I walk through the door they are more excited to yank it out of my purse than to see me. I plan on buying another one for my younger sister's upcoming 15th birthday, who at first wasn't too impressed when I told her I had purchased a DSi but when I went to visit her and my mother she couldn't keep her hands off of it.

These styli are wonderfully detailed, down to the gold paint and the switches of the lightsabers. Them not fitting into the stylus holder in the DS is understandable. My only complaint is that the tip quality is not that great, despite these being Nintendo licensed. There was a small discrepancy in the plastic near the tip of the tip that could potentially cause scratches. Otherwise, I love these styli.

i was very dissapointed i only got this charging dock because i liked the colors and they sent me three before i just returned it because it only came in black where the white is and it is clear where the blue is!

it is flimsy for in the car and has to be very still it's dinky and doesn't hold the ds very well the releasing button (which you DON'T need it hardly stay's on as it is ) is hard to press down. i was very dissapointed!

I am totally disappointed with this recharging station. It is just a dock to put your DS Lite on. As the other reviewers have said you still need your DS Lite charging cord. What's the point?! I repeat - this product does NOT come with it's own charging cord. And for the money I paid for this! It really should have been it's own rechargeable battery WITH cord. Rediculous, if I could have given this product zero stars I would have.

At first I was disheartened when it calculated my brain age somewhere in the 80s (I am 48) - but I put that down to not being very familiar with all the methods used and indeed the software misinterpreting my handwriting. I had to relearn how to make my '4' for example. Also, my tendency to combine two-digit numbers will confuse it too - so I have to make a deliberate '2' followed by a '0' instead of '20'. Finally I was achieving brain age scores in the low 30's which makes me happy.

But the real fun of this game cartridge is the inclusion of Sudoku puzzles. I had somehow managed to avoid the Sudoku phenomenon, but figured I'd give them a try as they are included here as a bonus. Well, needless to say MANY hours of enjoyment have literally flown by (great way to pass time on an airplane) and I am not far from completing the set of Advanced Sudoku puzzles.

Things that keep this software fun and entertaining is how they will reward you with new modules the more you keep coming back (this is monitored by collecting 'stamps' on a calendar). Also, the animated face of Dr. Ryuta Kawashima can be emotive and encouraging. He tells you he feels sad when you miss a day, and is overjoyed when you come back on successive days. A little bit like a Tamagotchi, I suppose.

I have already purchased Brain Age 2 and will progress on with it after I've unlocked all the modules in Brain Age.

I have to say this game is fun but its not the first one i pick up when I want to relax with my DS. The games are very simple, they take you back to your elementary days in terms of skill levels. The math portions are everyday math uses we all use (or a few of us use, simple math seems to elude some people). I'm not a sudoku fan so this portion is useless to me.

I purchased this DS shortly after it was released. We have all of the Guitar Hero Games for the PS3 and I figured I would love this too. I will admit it definitely takes some getting use to. Its not as easy to play on the DS as it is on the PS3. The downfall I have is that you have to keep your wrist pretty straight and it starts to make your wrist hurt after playing for awhile. You definitely need to take breaks in order to play the game. It might be different for kids who have smaller hands than adults do. (not sure I have no kids to test this theory) However, it is still fun to play and great for road trips. I would recommend this to anyone who is a Guitar Hero Fan. Its an awesome DS and game. I still wish they would make the screen alittle bigger so its not so hard to see. (The new DSI really is not an improvement to the screen, its not much bigger IMO)

I purchased this as soon as it came out because one of my sons have the guitar hero for the xbox360 and we love it!! This is a lot of fun as long as you can handle the finger abuse plus it also cramps up my wrist but then I'm not as young as I use to be. It's great fun when you can get more than one going and have everyone jamming. We've enjoyed this as a family, it's something we can take along when we go camping. It's a lot more fun than ghost stories and a blast when driving long distances (as long as you're not the driver).

In general I am less than pleased with this product. My main issue is that a nintendo ds lite does not fit in the carrying case! Come on, it is a ds lite and it has a standard size so how do you make that kind of a mistake? Also, when I saw a charging dock I assumed it came with a power cord... nope you have to use your existing one. (still my fault for making assumptions).

One the plus side, the screen protectors fit and stylus works.

I really liked this bundle. I ordered it from amazon as I compared prices and found the same bundle more expensive at walmart (sorry walmart). I like the way the table-top charger illuminates when plugged in (you'll need an actual DS AC charger to do this; it's not included)! The screen protectors are always a nice save! As for the case itself, it's quite snug which I suppose isn't suppose to be a bad thing, but I would think I'm not supposed to struggle zipping the case closed with the DS inside. If it wasn't for the "tight" case, I would've given the bundle 5-stars! But if you're searching for a deal, this one is the way to go!

The Nintendo DSI does not fit inside the case. The case broke the same day I got it. The desk charger doesn't come with a power adaptor. The screen protectors cover part of the screen so my daughter couldn't see parts of the game. DO NOT buy this product unless you don't mind wasting your hard earned money.
