What's been distinctly missing since Royce Gracie's defeat at Matt Hughes hand, is the next generation of Gracie as a big time player. The UFC announced recently their cast of fighters that will be making an appearance at the newly minted "Fan Expo", with over 30 named fighters making the list including legends such as Royce Gracie, Renzo Gracie, and Gary Goodridge. The Fan Expo will take place on the Friday proceeding UFC 100 (July 10th) and will include photo and autograph opportunities.

The payouts for The Ultimate Fighter Season 9 Finale are out and Diego Sanchez is the big winner of the show, netting 90k (45 show/45 win). The TUF participants received the standard 8 and 8 that seems to be a part of each TUF contract and the rest of the payouts look impressive with nobody dropping under 6k. Mike C. was the low man on the totem pole, having to forfeit 20% of his salary due to him missing weight. He made off with $6,400.

Affliction Doesn't Renew Arlovski Contract

Andrei Arlovski, ex-UFC Heavyweight title holder, is now a free agent. �His contract has expired and right now we have so many fighters under contract that we are just concentrating on working with them,� said Affliction VP Tom Atencio in a recent conversation with Fighters Only Magazine. Andrei has a hefty price tag and hasn't lived up to the hype recently, having gone 0-2 in his last 2 fights.

Following a 10 second knockout at the hands of a 48 yr old Ray Mercer, Tim Sylvia has been informed that his services are no longer needed on the Affliction Trilogy card, according to mma.fanhouse.com. He was set to face Paul Buentello on the packed card August 1st but with the fights less than 60 days away, it was very unlikely that Tim would have cleared the medicals due to the nature of the knock out by Ray Mercer.
