Writers Group meeting

September 12, 2026

10a-12p

High Mountain Church - Conference Room

681 High Mountain Rd., No. Haledon, NJ

What if we stopped measuring the success of our writing by reach, recognition, or response—and instead measured it by faithfulness?

This Saturday, our monthly meeting will explore what it means to place our words, creativity, and God-given gifts in His hands. We’ll consider how surrender, Scripture, excellence, and trust can transform our writing from simply a craft into an act of worship.

Come be encouraged to write for God’s pleasure, give Him your best work, and leave the results in His hands.

Hope to see you there!

NJCWG Meeting - April 11, 2026

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 10 Apr 2026 00:56:00 +0000

This Saturday! April 11 @ 10a - 12p

This month, we will talk about what makes a compelling author bio. We'll share some tips and work on them during the first half of our session. This is helpful whether you are looking to publish a book, submit an article, or just gain clarity for your identity as an author. Think about what you might like to include in it. It is recommended to create a long version for your website and a short version for book jackets and guest posts. If you already have a bio, bring it. You might want to edit it or be affirmed that it's great as is.

See you there!

WRITERS GROUP MEETING

SATURDAY, Oct. 3rd

10a - 12p

Why does "marketing" make us uneasy? Should it? What can we do to effectively let the world know about the message that God has given us to share? Last month, we talked about being a conduit (not a container) and passing along what the Lord has shown us. This month, let's talk about how we can do that effectively - that will glorify Him through our written words.

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you... 1 Cor. 11:23

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance... 1 Cor. 15:3
