This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I will be moving out of Canada and unfortunately won't be able to take my dog with me. I have approximately 8 months to find him the right home and am in no rush to place him with just anyone.

Hes a neutered Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog mix turning 4 in Dec. He's house-trained, affectionate with people he knows, and can comfortably stay home alone for 810 hours. He knows sit, lay down, no, and let's go. At home he's mostly a couch potato, but he loves walks, short hikes in the woods, sniffing adventures, short car rides, and playing with rope toys and rubber rings.

He's strong, goofy, and naturally protective. Once he trusts you, he is extremely loving, playful, and enjoys petting and cuddling.

I want to be completely honest about his needs. He is protective of his home and can bark, growl, and potentially snap if unfamiliar people get too close during initial encounters. He warms up with slow, positive introductions and tends to be much more immediately comfortable with women. He is reactive toward other dogs and has a strong prey drive, so he must be the only pet in the home. His experience with children is limited, so an adult-only home is preferred.

His ideal home would be quiet and stable, with someone patient who understands large breeds and is willing to earn his trust. Experience with large or reactive dogs would be a major plus.
