Judge Sotomayor is back in the news – recovering from an injury while competing in an all woman, all Latina, all liberal decathlon event in honor of Michael Jackson – she is finding that people don’t really care about her much, but we’ll tell you what people DO care about with regards to this judge.

More great news for the holiday weekend – Al Franken is declared the winner in Minnesota and is headed to the Senate. There is still some tension though as the US Senate is the proverbial “tough crowd” for a comedian.

Amid all this talk about the stimulus package saving so many American jobs – the jobless rate is higher now than it has been in a very long time.

And finally, let’s talk a bit about President Obama’s July 4th Address.
