National University prepares students to become first-contact, primary care physicians fully qualified to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions. We believe a superior education starts with an evidence-based, broad-scope curriculum emphasizing integrative medicine.

Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine

National University offers a comprehensive classical curriculum in traditional naturopathic medicine while preparing you to become a first-contact, primary-care doctor. You’ll be uniquely prepared for the real world of health care today through learning in our integrative medicine environment. You’ll graduate with the skill and confidence you need to not only practice, but to succeed and excel as a naturopathic physician.

Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

National University offers a nine-trimester program leading to the master of science in oriental medicine degree (MSOM). Our traditional apprentice-style learning environment immerses students in the five branches of oriental medicine.

National University of Health Sciences offers a seven-trimester program leading to the master of science in acupuncture degree (MSAc). This degree will allow the graduate to take national board exams and achieve certification in most states to practice as a licensed acupuncturist.

The massage therapy programs at National University provide thorough training in every area necessary to practice successfully as a professional massage therapist. Our distinctive curriculum provides you with a solid grounding in anatomy and physiology, includes study of massage theory and history, and offers extensive training in clinical massage as well as business practices and ethics.

Post Professional Degrees

The Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice (MSACP) is an advanced degree designed for first-professional health care providers including, DCs, NDs, MDs, and DOs. Offered exclusively online, the program provides an in-depth immersion into integrative medicine with outstanding faculty active in the profession.

The Master of Science in Diagnostic Imaging degree is limited to one participant per year and can only be received upon completion of the three-year, full-time residency in diagnostic imaging at National University.

NUHS revamps its business curriculum for chiropractic students

National University recently redesigned the business curriculum in the chiropractic program to ensure students have a more complete set of business skills. Instead of just learning the basics of how to run a business, NUHS students will now learn the nuanced aspects of how to start, manage and grow a practice.

Jeffrey Ware, MS, DC, DABCI has been appointed assistant dean of chiropractic medicine for National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in Lombard, Illinois. Most recently he served the university as chair of the clinical sciences department and interim assistant dean of chiropractic medicine.
