Someone at an international magazine (FabUPlus Magazine) was interested enough to publish me.  The magazine's claims to fame is a #magazine for everyday #women created by everyday women, is it true?

Hey all I'm going to jump right in, because the tea is too sweet so no need to make you wait.  Here goes I was doing what I call social media playing and I see that I have a message, but since I wasn't expecting anything I kept working. Something kept nagging so I went to see and what the message was about and all I see is the logo from #FabUPlus .   Me being the nonchalant person I am I see it and say oh no  they  must have made a mistake and messaged me. I even told my mom  this she call after I had just opened the message.  She being Mom said just check with them or respond and if you are wrong person which I doubt they will let you know.  She is hands down my biggest supporter.

Turns out they new exactly who they were contacting and it was not a mistake at all.  Here is the catch though,  I had 2 and a half days to get everything in.  I was up for the challenge of course.  I gave everyone a chance to get up mostly and I started calling and messaging to get it done and get it done we did. 

My Moment is Building

I was out of town when everything was confirmed and sealed,  so I left my daughter with my mom ,  I back on the road I  came back home the next day where the #photographer was.  I gathered my #wardrobe, beat my face to e #makeup gawds and went to make magic.  Thanks to Photographer and #Artist Christopher Russell he was willing to take on the last minute very specific project. Fast forward the got the edits to me and I got them along with the other things in to the nice people over at FabUPlus.  It is finally happening and I could not be more excited and grateful. Someone at an internationally published #magazine was interested and I was so excited, because I would now have the opportunity to say my word of positivity and really impact  a wide range of  women.

Waiting Game

To be honest it all seemed like a lot in a short period of time and it was, but I enjoyed every moment of it.  I actually did another #photoshoot the next night which was equally fulfilling. I have to be honest out of the entire process the hardest part was the waiting.  I had to hold this secret for over a month and though keeping a secret is not difficult at all  for me it was the exciting nature of the secret that made it so much more difficult.  The whole process was quite exhilarating and I can not wait to do it again.  This model life is totally worth the long nights the crazy deadlines and everything else that comes with it.

P.S.  You guys should total subscribe to FabUPlus Magazine it's a magazine for everyday women by everyday women and all the women that saw mine totally love it so there's that.  And That's My Word!

Face of Xclusive Curves Boutique

So a few months back (yes I'm late better late then never right) I saw this post in an awesome group I'm in on face book, Curvaceous Conversations about this new boutique  Xclusive Curves Boutique ,that was opening in the Mall of Louisiana here in Baton Rouge, La where I currently reside they were looking for models.  It was worth a shot I was back at home and I was really  fully ready to get back to it , if I was what she was looking for and if she was willing to work with someone who was just getting back in the Industry. 

      Weeks went by so naturally I thought they had chosen someone else until I received  an email one day asking for a phone interview.   I was excited and nervous, because for as much as I had once did as a model in another life, it had been years and this was a chance to start fresh.  I rarely bring up that I ever modeled I'm sure people think I'm some crazed newbie when I know certain things, but this is not the case and that is another story for another day, maybe.

I was required to go through the full interview process over the phone and in person  to be honest we hit it off right away.  I must say that is a rare happening for me, but when something is mean there is no question you just know. It took some doing to finally get the first shoot together for some back office reasons , but once it was done boy did the magic happen.  The photographer @elivisionphotography and his team were great everything went smoothly and that magic of a picture above happened. 

I had secured the job, but I'm more then certain that this photo being featured on @Fabuplus was a sign that they had chosen the right person.

A few days after the first shoot happened and nerves were settled I long on to my insta account and see a notification I was shared as Model Crush Monday on the @fabuplus.  I was exciting for me and it had to be nerve calming for boss lady.  I had already secured the job, but I'm more then certain that this photo being featured on @fabuplus was a sign that they had chosen the right person.  It's been smooth sailing since we teamed up. Like Mrs. Faye says, Team work makes the dream work."  I imagine it's only up from here.  Stay tuned we have some exciting things on the horizon for the boutique and myself.

Jose Pagan Photo tour Ambassador Run

As Most of you know if you follow me I am on the mission to become on the Baton Rouge, La Ambassador for Jose Pagan's 2019 Photo tour. This means I will need 8 participants that will be in the area or lives in the area in January when Jose plans on coming here. The best way I can put it is a celebrity photographer that is really talented is interested in come to our area let's get him so we can show everyone what Louisiana is made of. This is not about me being famous, because let's be realistic here it's gonna take a lot more then that. This is about having a highly sought after photographer coming to Louisiana a place that is often overlooked to not just give myself opportunity, but also the other talented people in the area. It's not just a Photo shoot it's a great networking opportunity. It's been awhile so I figured I would start with a fun one for you. You know there are some lingerie brands that refuse to come near us Curvy/ Plus size women and then there are those that choose to do collaborations with the Freshest of the Fresh @Gabifresh. The company is @Playfulpromises on the gram.

There are many others as well, but since I did win this Gorgeous set free I decided to do this post dedicated to them. For a reference I am wearing a 40H which the 40 is way to big (in the bust) for me now sadly, because this the the only time I actually wore it for the picture. I will be buying more though. In the panty I chose the 18 or 2X yeah it to big to now, so it is safe to say the companies items run true to size. I hope this little spiff helps someone out. No New Year New Me

NO NEW YEAR NEW ME

Hey you all are grown, and to be quite frank you can do whatever you want. This is just my view on the whole "New Year New Me" point of view it's not written in stone there are no real rules to this thing we call life!

This is going to be short and sweet so here goes.

Last year you decided you were going to do amazing things THIS YEAR, is that right, please correct me if I'm wrong. Realistically aren't you already fabulous and aren't you already on the right track. You already have your game plan in hand so why wait please tell me why you are scared. Is it because almost EVERYONE goes into the new year with the same plan and 4 weeks in more then half say, you know what next year is going to be my year this isn't going to work out.

Can I give you a piece of advice? You don't have to take it but, I really need you to listen I'm going to give you my secret on how I finally started to see a turn around. Slow and steady as it may be, it's working and progress is progress!! Stop waiting and just do it you know what you want you are on the right track just push and be consistent it won't be easy, but I promise all of those late nights will be worth it. A very degreed self made sister told me that, and it's not that I didn't already know it; I just needed to hear it. So I'm saying it to you and you and you so that you don't give up in 3 weeks and wait another year. If you do give up you will just keep being stuck and discouraged!

You are already the you that you need to be to do whatever it is you want to do. Now put on your big girl drawls and do it!!

No Need to be new just keep doing You....AND THATS MY WORD!

The Lady In Red

You dolls and gems have seen the pictures everywhere. I've even gotten 2 features since that Red Dress shoot. That darn Red dress, you can call me "The Lady in Red".

The back story

So as you guys now know I am stepping back into modeling. Well I needed to update few things, since dropping some weight, and in picking clothing; I decided what the hey, let's shop the closet! I do have to apologize. I didn't get the picture, but the shoes I went against the typical, and I did black. I did this, because to me red and black is a combination that dreams are made of. I picked that dress, here's why:

1) its a favorite

2) red it trending for the holiday season

3) I'm in the south and I didn't want to burn up

4) did I mention my curves in this hot sexy yet classic number

The dress is actually a convertible 2 way. You you can wear it front or back shoulders up or down or both. It's a floor length gown as well. It is a bodycon maxi dress, so if you are shy its not the dress for you, but the boutique where I purchased do have other beautiful options.

The jewelry is from Dillards Department store some I already hadas well. They usually carry simular style pieces so finding something close should not be a problem.

As I stated I did shop my closet, but guess what you can still purchase her. The Monroe Dress is everything.

In the world of intimate we all know the Bra as the mistreated unwanted stepchild, think Cinderella. This is why I have decided to share some things that I learned over the years ladies that may struggle a bit or that have had a run in with a not so honest Intimates Specialist may benefit from this post. I will go into details that I did not touch in the video.

** Fun fact did you know 80% of women wear the wrong size bra? This means you are not alone in your struggle.

About my pool of knowledge for those that are curious, I received My initial training from Lane Bryant. There I received some hard core training and had to be the best of the best and A good teacher. I later landed at Belk Department store and there I had the opportunity to help women from all walks of life with some unique special needs. Now combine that with the fact that I was a DDD at the young ripe age of 15, (loads of personal experience) I think you are in pretty good hands information wise.

**Fun fact about me I have done over 500 bra and intimate apparel fittings. Now that a lot of Boobies!

All about Bras Video

First of all you should know how to measure. This should be done wearing a none lined or very lightly lined bra.
1. Measure around you bust using a measuring tape. (Remember that #)
2. Measure around your underbust
(Remember that #)
3. Subtract the bottom # from the top 2 in difference is a B, 3 a C ,4 a D, 5 a DD, 6 DDD etc your band number is the second #.

Ex. My Mom is 38 around her underbust when I subtract the 2 number's #'s there is a 3 inch difference her size is a 38C. Now that I think of it I need to double check that since she has lost so much weight lately.

**Fun fact : Did you know that how your breast age over the years is Partly genetic and partly environmental.

Now I'm going to jump right in and tell you from my experiences the category of bras that I feel are necessary for any modern woman's wardrobe. Keep in mind there are several different style within each Category.

The Plunge Cut Bra
Great for deep V neck and Plunging necklines

The Balconette Cut Bra
Great for everyday wear

The Strapless Cut Bra
Great for strapless style tops or tops with very thin straps

The Sport Cut Bra
Great if you are working out
Or being very active playing sports

The Wireless Cut Bra
Great if you are sensitive to wires and or if you are lounging and just want to be a little free

Post Surgical , Nursing, Etc

Remember every set of Breast are made differently and every bra will not work for everyone. You may be a demi style diva or full coverage may be more your speed. The long line bra may peak your fancy. Trust that I'm ready to find a reason to buy one, but whatever the case look around there is literally ALMOST something for everyone and even if its not you can use these bras as a guideline.

My Favorites Styles With These. Categorie of Bra Videos

Over the years I have learned some interesting and amazing HACKS or as I like to say Stuff you need to know when you have 20lbs on your chest and I'm going to share my top 5 need to know HACKS.

1. If your straps are sliding try adjusting them all the way or criss cross if it's a convertible strap bra if that does not work TRY THIS it does not work your band may be to large.

2. If you need a racer style bra try this THIS it also helps with slipping straps.

3. Are your cups gapping and hallowed with extra space if so try adjust your straps. Your cup is likely to big if this does not work try going down.

4. Do you have double boobs if so Sis go up a cup, because it's just to small I promise it's not sexy, but if that's the look you are going for more power to you.

5. My pet peeve, are your bands digging if so try loosening your straps and if this does not work your band and/or cup is to small. Try going up to see how that works.

**Bonus: Is you back strap riding your back meaning going up to high? Your strap is probably to small. I've also seen where in this case so is the cup so check them both to see which it is?? This is a BONUS so is your strap sliding down to low are your breast sagging? Then try going down in your band if that does not work try going down in your cup it could be that as well.

This about wraps this post up. Like I said before no breast are equal....actually that's not true ,but that's another story....me laughing memories. The point I'm trying to make is there are exceptions to every rule. Bras and Brands are cut different fabrics and wires make a difference you can play with bands and sizes to get a bra to work though its not something I like doing. Explore Lane Bryant Caciques site you may be surprised what you find and like. A small tip A lot of the bras have matching undies sometimes more then one !! Don't stress about breast get your girlfriends and make a day of it be on line or in store. Last Tip invest in a Lingerie Wash Bag .

I'm going to start off with a rundown of life since my last update as if I have a million followers, but I'm hopeful and I appreciate the followers I do have. Since my last post I've got a new job (which I loved), moved lost 45lbs got pregnant got so sick I had to quit working gained 100lbs had a little girl had moms spend a month with us, I MISS HER NOW BTW... but she is down most weekends I think she's scared the baby will forget her. Oh I got married!!! At first like any new parents we were so paranoid so no frontal facial pictures were allowed then we loosened a bit I started her a gram town on insta @beautiyasmin. I've been able to get back to my roots my original love MAKEUP YAY!! @Beautyconbynaava on insta and FB ...just leave out the y in by for snapchat I'm there too! My website is on wix naquital.wix.com/naavaramirez when I build a following I'll buy the domain but, until then wix it is I should do better by updating it....HOLD UP I'm rambling now back to business. I started another blog I know right why but it completely dedicated to my healthy lifestyle journey making my way back to where I was wins and fails experiments and all.....fat, fabulous & fit that's the name ...incase you are interested. I've discovered many hidden jewels that I can share with you and I'm so ready to jump back in! I've been working my hardest & so far we are doing awesome in my shop!! Thanks to my co-works for dealing with my pickiness, but it has to be done. They will be receiving a surprise cake or something from me--I'm awesome in the kitchen!! SIDETRACKED BACK TO TRENDS!! It took me decades to update my for my New Years Post-- now here I go hitting two updates in one day/night I'm on a roll allergies & All (Benadryl) to the rescue-- well I've been seeing and noticing and itching to let you in on the obvious trends of the season-- well not all of them.... we will start with swim---sorry but this one is for my Size Sexy Divas!! ON TO THE SPRING JACKETS!!--WHICH I'M LOVING AND THE COLORS OH YEAH SPOT THE TREND!! Yes a flashback to the 80's the time during which I was born denim is back 1st jacket (ASHLEYSTEWART.COM) AND vibrant shades of blue everyone- I'm loving this one because I can werk color blue in any shade (TORRID.COM) & last the faux leather is here to stay from (FOREVER21.COM)--- JUST A QUICK TOUCH ON WHAT TO KEEP AND EYE ON--- I KNOW it's been a long time up I hope you have been able to keep track of me on my other social networks (facebook, twitter, intagram) the links are on the side-- if you want to keep up with my on goings in btw my Blog posts--- Well the Benadryl is kicking full force so I have to hurry up and finish before I start typing out of the side of my head--- it is what it is but do remember every trend is not fore everyone and take those trends that work for you and make them your own--oh yeah did I mention to you that I got a promotion as the Micheal Kors specialist at work yep --AND THATS MY WORD!!

The Grinch Didn't Steal Christmas (My Holiday Season)

Lets see it started with a ball and a red dress

Well Actually let me rewind it didn't really start there in the mist of all of the chaos of the the season (I work retail as you all know) a bullet few and My Madea (my grandmother) died and really it was unexpected and out of the blue LITTERALLY!! Everyone buckled down did what they had to do and we made it threw. Even my mother did and I'm happy about that because to be honest I just wasn't sure that she would-- that's another story for another day--but I put my well rehearsed happy strong face on and well now I'm here and now. Now that I think of it that was also the week I met my real life angel or as close to one as you can get that is human-- and that is as much as you need to know about him--but it made me realize though everything does happen for a reason-- and to think that's my favorite saying-- ANYWAYS! Me the night before the funeral-- because Madea would have just told me to fix my face so a smile was in order (as much as people thought they knew) they didn't-- we really had a special relationship that took until I was almost grown to develop, but it was worth the wait-- Fast forward--and it ended with a black dress-- well two of them they were both fabulous I enjoyed with a few of my coworkers another ball--I only went to two of them of course you have to be invited--and since most people know I am a mostly anti-social work-a-holic those invites don't just come rolling in though- I must admit I was invited to another but, I was working-- bye the end of the night on the second--- This was me dead tired I mean I work so much I actually got dressed at the place--AFTER I CLOCKED OUT OF COURSE! And my brilliant coworker Serena got to laugh at all the craziness!! The other black dress well I don't have a picture in it that I Love, besides a silly selfie and the whole dress does not come close to showing---I love that dress can't wait until I have another good reason to wear it-- but it was New Years & I attempted to go out when I should have just went to church, but I did my year end/in prayer ( remember those Sunshine, Sirrena and Dana)-- I still do that!! The 1st picture is before I left home on my way to Dimples you all know and love that bar & the second picture was me after being there for about 30mins & realizing I should have taken my allergy meds first smoke is not my friend- I was gone in an hour!! What can I say do what you like play how you like live how you like what is suppose to be will now matter what--happy new years--AND THAT'S MY WORD

The Interview was Short in sweet--one of the things I like about--Drica is she gets straight the point usually with a smile and a laugh.

Me: So What's your Style Philosophy--
Drica: Well I'm just a simple southern gal my style philosophy is simple I love layering, long flowy skirts (anything feminine and pretty) and I love denim.

We were interviewing on our break and lunch and our beautiful Fashion Fair Cosmetologist--input which I agree with it not just the outside that shines with Drica it is her Beautiful Personality--She is a True Definition of a Southern Beauty inside and out! FALL TRENDS :

1) Fitted Jacket & button down shirt paired with skinny leg denim & leopard close toe heels (also try the new silhouette shirts for a different look)

2) Sweater Dress paired with an Infiniti Scarf (scarf made by myself) and finished with matching jewelry & the perfect boot--this years trend riding boot of the season would go fabulously with the look as well.

3) Must have pencil skirts and tailored pants are back in for the season & hopefully it sticks around paired with a cute shoe with a pop of color & a statement bracelet.

4)This last one is my favorite trend the legging with the accent leather paired with an open front cardigan accented with leather on the shoulders and finished with a nude shoe accessorized with statement earrings and a skinny belt

Leopard Trend Print of the fall

     I often get asked what is STYLECON what's the point & purpose why do you do it? Well STYLECON, is my brainchild my baby a passion that started as a hobby that was just an outlet to get my thoughts on paper--ever meet anyone that thinks faster then they could possibly write or talk well now you have. She started as a spot for me to talk style, fashion and beauty for a demographic that similar to myself, but just needed a little help. I didn't have a specific goal when I started STYLECON she was as scatterbrained as I normally am (to many thoughts & ideas sometimes). She (STYLECON) started as my own special place--That's It! I soon realized that people actually read her even though they don't follow her and I made a decision to make her the best & most unique BLOG She could be. So Now What is STYLECON?

    STYLECON she is a lot of things, but mostly she, is a unique blog that is steadily being created & recreated to help the Plus Beauties of the world realize you can be a celebrity in your own right when it comes to fashion and style.   It is a blog that does not recreate the style of others ie. celebrities and it does not deliver the latest hot gossip, instead it is meant to help you find your own style by presenting the styles and trends mostly favored by myself & some that aren't in a central (comfort zone). I'm not knocking it because people love celebrities, and it works for those brilliant enough to do it correctly ( Garnerstyle: The Curvy Girl Guide), << one of my favorite bloggers, but ; I mean why recreate something from someone that 9 time of 10 didn't even dress themselves?!

    Goodness knows I don't live to toot my own horn--but, I can honestly say that I have perfected the

I love the "age of the flapper" its when different was naughty and showing skin...was well just not Ladylike. Lets be straightforward though I love the way they dressed not the customs or unspoken rules if the time. The dress that laced my body this weekend was straight out of the pages of a magazine --only it was a blast of the past ---and I was in love y'all !!!

All WHITE everything

So last night was one of the first events of the season--the All White Affair--
How was it?
The people were beautiful-- well most of them this is a style blog so I will say this --everything is not meant for every (body) and I put the emphasis on BODY.
And I must say my plus beauties were representing ...had my phone not gone dead....well

I love the twist she put on the white and her face was glowing just Beautiful.
The drinks well bottle popping was all over the place...
Music was perfect something for everyone
The photographer took and provided pictures in a timely manner
Food well there's the snag the idea of what was served was nice and no offense to the cook ,but I've tasted better way better ,but those deviled eggs and chicken salad was on point everything else--was mediocre at best taste wise---I have to give my honest opinion OVERALL
I HAVE TO GIVE "the ALL WHITE AFFAIR" 4 out of 5 stars
I took a star for food you know we like GOOD food everybody had to go hit the Dodge Store up...I had a little chat with the clerk

Beauty, fun, music,people can't wait until the next one--I won't even tell you how it's taken too long to get the dress I was supposed to wear--I still don't have it --but I'm not gonna bash where I ordered it from karma's a teenage mean girl...and that's my word!!

Summer (time) Glow (Summer is here)

Well the first day of summer has come and past and we all want a glow that can't be rivaled. Well ladies and gents with the help of my local Estee Lauder Associate, and a bit of tweaking of my own-- you know I have to tweak everything-- I have just that the perfect glow and this one goes to the top of the rainbow and back. It works on any skin tone how about that!

I first discovered this look while on my quest to find the perfect foundation, believe it or not my skin was going though some weird changes ( it was lightening at a rapid pace) though spring and the sun was in the air. ANYWAY-- I was introduced to a different way to play in the paint, a sisters secret was shared with me and I was given permission to share it with you all and YOU get my version as well, I don't call it playing in the paint for nothing.

The look to the right was done not using a self tanning bronzer just the regular liquid bronzer and a powder bronzer to set and seal the bronze look. Its a personal perference as well as applying the liquid with my fingers it gives a more flawless look. The Glow is from the gold seashell looking bit you see in the 2nd to last pic below takes very little.

The First Try At the summer glow done at the local Estee Lauder counter. The main focus are the bronzers this look was done using a self tanning liquid bronzer, and a powder bronzer ,yes brown skin looks beautiful with self tanners as well.

These are My Products of choice when putting my glowing face in place only sometimes I opt not to do bold lips in that case I just use some gloss or lipchap with liner usually a brown or black just to neaten things up.

PLAY ME>>>

So no big I told you at the end of this one, well ok, I HAVE ONE which happens to be my favorite- FOUNDATION, and in this case I am referring to the skin. It is the single largest organ on the human body it has to be healthy and treated well. Makeup is just a cover that has to be washed off at some point so take care of it, water it, find a good cleanser and use it every night, good health creates a smooth layer to play with your makeup on : makeup can create an illusion which I personally do very often, but what matters most is whats underneath the fascade--AND That's My Word!!

Style & The Workplace (BODYPARTS)

Since it's pretty much the central location of where you can obtain the styles and fashions that we all love so- I figure why not discuss work place dress codes in the world of retail, my world. I've worked in enough to know a few facts, though I haven't hit the ranks of Neimus Marcus yet...but that's a whole other ballgame anyways onward... you know me well enough by now to know there is plenty reason behind every post....

At Macy's I was dawned in all black, but I was allotted my own personality with hair, makeup and
shoes, at Lane Bryant it was no holds bar dress to impress as long as you are in dress code, everyone was larger then life be it in size or personality so no one stood out in that manner, but now- well, even

Lane Bryant won a style contest here also

though everyone does not do it as fabulously as others, modern style of the south is the dress code at hand. What that means I guess is a complete other story, because I just couldn't tell you just what that is, though most people would think I could, down here in this place- I'll just say it I love my home, but it's full of double standards and jealously. That's what rules you just have to learn to navigate it, because there is no way around it- the dress code in the book may state one thing, but personal opinions rule. It just does not matter if one month you were awarded for being the best as representing our southern style in the entirety of the 360 aspect.

STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM--DRESS

FEET:

Let's start from the bottom up it will build the suspense- the fee,t as long as you dawn a heel the thong style shoe is now workplace appropriate and any other shoe that dawns a heel though personally there are some shoes that fit this description that I wouldn't agree is work place appropriate, but once again it personal opinion- right- that's what matters.

HIPS & KNEES:

In this section I'll include legs, hem lengths and hips and boy, oh boy since this is the south why not- are we not all CORNBREAD FED. Skirt and dress length has to be at least 3 inches above the knee no shorter. The fit well it all depends, personally I like to dress myself so that, my shape, though much larger then most, is complimented which means A lines fitted or loose as long as it's not a club dress . I'm a dress type of diva- well at work anyways.

FUNBAGS:

This is always the fun part they aren't called fun bags for no reason . Now this is the sensitive area,
I do work retail and not in a bar serving drinks this I know, but I also know that as long as I continue to pin the clothes <<<<<which by the way destroys them overtime and no one is giving me money for their replacement, I am still in dress code. The fact still stands that I am a G CUP. I buy better bras for goodness sake I don't even wear bras from where I work they don't come in my size and I'm GET THIS " A TRAINNED BRA SPECIALIST" so how do I sell bras that I can't wear? Good question I guess I'm just gifted, and I'm sure the fact that my girls sit up and not hang to my knees has something to do with it, and I wont even get started on the shape wear new school term for girdles since they have been redesigned to be virtually undetectable and cool to the touch. Foundation is key!!

AFTER THOUGHT:
With that being said basically it's stated we must wear the correct foundation to work starting underneath or even then, we are out of dress code. So in so many words no jiggling buns or flab is allowed I mean how would the customers know the correct way to dress if they don't have good example from the people that specialize in it.
How much leg is to much leg, are my thunder thighs a reason to be put on blast in a meeting, even though its within dress code, are MY larger then life breast a reason to be put on blast even though I'm within dress code. I mean the suits never have a complaint about me. I am Beautiful I am large and larger then life, but is it any reason to treat me any different life is not fair, but in certain traces and certain places the LAW states otherwise....AND THAT'S MY WORD!!!

The PROBLEM with Stylcon being now so plus size friendly is well to be quiet frank--I'm a mean P.H.A.T. chica I say what's on my mind caring less who, what , when OR where doesn't like it. Think about it how can I give advice on plus style and fashion tiptoeing around the fact that a lot and I do mean a lot of my big girls wear things that --JUST ARENT MEANT FOR THEM!!! In lames terms most people even the slim divas don't know how to dress their body types. I'm sorry once you get past a certain age you already know what is or isn't a no, no- you may not know quite how to style it & that my divas is where I come in.

Now that we have that understanding, understand this, I am not at all telling you not to be the most confident and fierce you do so -PLEASE work it from every angle, work every roll, dent and dimple I have dimples on my lower back...ha, ha. I urge you to FEEL YOURSELF!!!! I'm feeling myself -- as well as some of the seasons trends that are reemerging...i.e., the leopard print, well to be honest animal print in general.

Bright Colors in the makeup and clothing oh my I'm just a bundle of joy --COLOR IS MY SECRET LOVE LOVE...

Spring is in the air BRIGHTS, FLORALS and OTHER PATTERNS are everywhere literally and to even my plus size self, the pattern trends/fashion use to be a nightmare. Then I had a revelation I can wear pattern we all can, because it's not what you wear it's how you wear it. For instance, that dress in the picture let's say I was in denial about my size and swore on God's green earth I was a medium instead of and extra large, and I have to say it like this "I most defiantly would look like a busted can of biscuits". Now with that being said, find your favorite patterns layer them play with them, but first please make sure you know what size clothing you wear there is no reason you are in your twenties and do not know this. If you don't find a trusted sales person and the key word is TRUSTED and let her/him assist you. As a sales person helping people look fabulous surely is my favorite part of the job.

Right now I'm loving the Print Trend in Fashion I don't know how long it will be around this strong ,but some things are always in style and will repeat it's self like history. Everyone that knows me knows that I am a makeup junky how else can you portray a beautiful_fascade. Anyways heads up, because there is a FASHION FAIR product or rather products that I actually recommend and love. Those that know me also know that I have a hate to love relationship with that line so this is big they have come out with a trio, THE CAPUSLE COLLECTION, lips (lipstick &gloss), nails and blush that is reminiscent of the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's in different shades of pink that are perfect for any and I do mean any skin tone and it actually stays on and looks beautiful. If you ask me they need to keep Mr. Sam Fine around. I really believe he had a hand in this. The original Capsule Collection, was developed by Eunice W. Johnson and since FASHION FAIR is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary this year this is there homage the Person and the brand for women who Celebrate their life with a Touch of Luxury!

Loving the Heat protector/straightener for my hair, the on trend glass shades, my natural hair straightened, I finally warmed up to the nail thing, my wink mineral shadows visit the site you can schedule parties and all and last, but not least my signature red lipstick- I'm loving the long wear of the Chanel Passion is the color.

So now that we know that is alright for the plus diva to wear the pattern print, because I am neurotic about it let's not forget foundation is still key...Support, support, shape wear, shape wear. So I must say this : Today a lady comes into the store who I was assisting she was staring which does not bother me because its the norm (you never know what you will see me looking like)...still standing at the checkout out of the blue she says ...OH YOU MUST BE A FAN OF JILL SCOTT...me in my calm polite voice i say "no not really" and she gets this blank wow look on her face and walks off....after they leave I sit there wondering why the question, cause you see at the time it didn't dawn on me that it is much assumed thats why i went natural.....lol...anyways.....I say that only to say if its my hair, if its my smile, or even my style BLACK SISTER its ok to pay a compliment to another sister in free form rater then bringing it down to the most unflattering form......it is ok to LIFT one another up heck its one of the rules I live by. Why not? So many people are so quick to judge other races, BUT atleast it does not give them a sore throat to give a compliment geeze . MY BLACK WOMEN GET IT TOGETHER AN YOU WONDER WHY WE ARE CLASSIFIED AS THE ANGRY SPECIES....I'M JUST SAYING!!!

Jill Scott is one of the most physically beautiful women I have ever seen and if I hear or music or any for that matter I'll listen I'm just not the go and hunt for a song type at any rate right now natural is suppose to be a trend . I'm almost 3 years in I don't know why others do it but let me clear this up now. I went natural because I never wanted a perm in the first place and when I becasue old enough and ready mentally enough to change back (well not completely cause when i was younger I was a straight not kinky natural) I did. NOT BECAUSE I WANNA LOOK LIKE JILL SCOTT.

My black women learn to treat each other like the QUEENS we are don't down one another and well to be quite frank it not my fault that I have style and you still trying to figure out the definition of it. Not to sound cocky-I consider myself confident. If you like I can give you advices, magazine, teach you the color wheel and point you in the right direction . Presentation is a personal perference I chose and am partially inclinded to be a bit dramatic after all I am My Fathers Child. And That's My Word.

I haven't updated in a while I know but then I guess I hadn't found anything worth raving for in awhile. I mean every fashion magazine is going to tell you that emerald green is going to be the big color for the season and that the pinks and peaches are still going to be huge this coming season so I have to dig deeper do I not.

* Well before I begin have to rave about this dress I finally found one I've been looking forever....Yah!*

First on my list of big finds comes from Estee Lauder : to put it short it's everything you need in a nice travel case literally all you need to add is foundation and setting powder and you are good to go!
