This picture isn't photoshopped.  Teahupoo is a place where the ocean bottom goes from 300ft-150ft to 5ft, which creates amazing waves like this one.  It's beatuful and dangerous all together, making for some of the most intense surfing on this planet.  More pictures after the jump.

Garrett McNamara surfed a wave that was over 90 feet tall in the 2011 ZON North Canyon Show in Nazare Portugal. The video after the jump is crazy! 


The video shows Garrett McNamara surfing a 90-foot wave according to a report on November 8, 2011, and that he broke the world record for the biggest wave ever surfed.
McNamara surfed the massive wave at Praia do Norte off the coast of Nazaré, Portugal, an area known for generating giant waves.

 

 It reminded me of the final scene of the film Point Break, which starred a young Keannu Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze.  Congrtas to Garret to McNamara for accomplishing something truly awe inspiting.
