This is what I wore on my first day of fashion week while I attended the Tadashi Shoji show. I have more pictures coming of this outfit soon, but I loved these shots of me taken by Alessia Campostrini. Most of you know I have an obsession with hats. When I bought this vintage 50's saucer hat, I knew instantly I wanted to do some sort of color blocking. Two days before I left to NY for fashion week, I ran to a different store and found this purple vintage dress also with layering in the front and a belt for a cinched waist. I knew it would be perfect for the hat. I love coming up with outfits that are sort of costume-y but not really. I was also in Gotham Magazine for this outfit. I've been living up north for about a month now and it hasn't even hit me yet. I still feel like I'm on vacation. The quote above pretty much sums up my life right now. My main goal for this move up north was to focus on fashion. I know I'll have to take different approaches until I get where I want to be. On another note, this was one of my fashion week outfits. I love this 80's vintage dress with the high slit. For fashion week, I decided to do a lot of black and gold, and also a lot of color blocking. Fashion week has been pretty packed for me. I have a few pictures of me and my outfits during this week, but I'm holding off for a little bit until I get them all together from different photographers who were up at Lincoln Center snapping shots. Give it a few days and my outfits will be up! Today I attended the Naeem Khan Fall 2012 fashion show. Seriously such a wide variety that it's hard to explain everything in his line. Asymetrical dresses with huge bows rested on the shoulders, jewels, a little bit of feathers, gold, silver, black, white, just all over the place! I snapped a few shots below of some of my favorite pieces. My all time favorite is the low cut gold gown. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else on Valentine's day then what I really love most; fashion. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY LOVELIES!

Today was my first fashion show ever! It was pretty amazing. I went to the Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 show. The models, the dresses, the details, the colors. Everything was gorgeous. I'm a huge fan of details. How the fabric flowed, to the sequin on the floral lace, to the layering of the tulle and chiffon. The warm colors were everything I imagined for Fall 2012. I had to take a few shots of my favorite pieces and share them with you guys! If anyone is going to blogger night out, I'll be there also!

I have been dying to do a blog post for such a long time now. I usually never take this much time to do one but this move to New York has been keeping me busy and finding time to take pictures has become difficult. I never realized how much winter clothes I don't have until I came here. Usually when I pack for my trips to NY, I have enough winter clothes because I'd only be staying for a few weeks. Now that I'm here for good, I finally realized I need more clothes that don't consist of me half naked. In this post, I somehow manage to still be showing my midriff in 30 degree weather. I'm terribly cold in these pictures but I just can't help being half naked sometimes haha. Fashion week is coming up and I am ECSTATIC! I can't wait until you guys see my different outfits!

Here are some more of my American Apparel outtakes from my trip to Los Angeles. I love California's landscape. The warm weather reminds me of Florida, but the mountains remind me of West Virginia. We would travel there when I was younger because West Virginia is my mom's home state. Since I've been living in Florida most of my life, I don't think I'll ever fully get use to the sight of mountains and how breathtaking they are. When I was little, my mom said the first time I went to West Virginia and saw mountains I asked, "What are those big round bumps with trees on top?" haha. I was the cutest baby ever. On another note, it's weird seeing me in flats right? haha It's weird for me to even see myself in them because I'm ALWAYS in heels. I think now people will be able to tell I'm only 5'3" instead of thinking I'm way taller!

Since Valentine's Day falls on Tuesday, exactly three weeks from now, I figured I'd go ahead and do the perfect Valentine's Day look for you guys and host a giveaway while I was at it! The corset I'm wearing is called Viveka and it is from Vedette.com. I love corsets because they always have this amazing ability to accentuate my curves more. This corset from Vedette laces in the back, but snaps in the front, and is SUPER stretchy so it's actually wearable, meaning I can move and breathe in it unlike most corsets I usually wear haha. This outfit would be perfect for a Valentine's date! Speaking of Valentine's Day, I'll be in New York and attending fashion week for it! If I did have a date, then I'd be wearing this! haha! Hot pink jumper with Cosmic Litas? I really felt like going bold this time. I love the colors in my bag and how it picks up the colors in the Jeffrey Campbells. I've come to the conclusion that I just need to pick up and move to New York. I'm always trying to top myself and lately I've been feeling stuck in sort of an unaccomplished feeling, which to most of you may sound insane considering I just shot with Seventeen Mag and American Apparel. But, to me, I don't like comparing myself to other people, I compare myself to myself. So trying to outdo what I've previously done is a big deal for me. I also get bored very easily, that's probably why I love fashion so much, because it's constantly evolving. I think I'll be going to fashion week and end up staying there. Sometimes you just have to go after things and get them dome. So if anyone knows any solid fashion jobs available or inexpensive studios/living, be sure to let me know!!

After what seemed like forever, nadiaaboulhosn.com is finally mine! At first, someone else had ownership of it. Long after a bunch of emails and procedures, $300 later it officially became mine. For now, I have my blog directly connected to it. Eventually when I come out with my fashion line, I'll have a full webpage for it, but for now, my blog will do. Domain names usually don't cost nearly as much as what I paid. Unfortunately for me, the man who owned it wanted money for it. I thought about all the heels I could buy with $300, but I figured the investment in the domain name was worth it in the long run. I found this tribal dress at a thrift store in Jersey months ago. I made it shorter to make it more flattering. My heels are BCBG and my oversized clutch and matching belt are vintage.

Yes, this just happened. You are looking at me with this amazing wig on. I love drastic necklines. Everything I'm wearing is vintage except my heels which are Jessica Simpson's. Being back home feels so relieving. I'm finally settled in until Fashion Week in February. Lately, I've been thinking about signing on to an agency and considering modeling professionally. People have always asked why I haven't gotten into it before. There's so many answers to why I haven't. One reason being, my interest and goals are in fashion design and the energy I'd be using toward modeling would take away from my designing. I've been thinking that the modeling also will help fund most of my fashion line. Then again, I'm drawn back with another reason why I've held it off, being that I don't like labeling myself. I'd obviously be titled a plus size model, but then again, even if I was a size 6, I'd still be considered "plus size" in this industry. I hate how fashion companies view sizes. I despise labels, it's just a way to separate/divide people. I don't want to be labeled in any category, I want to be in my own bracket. I'm too complex for any category. Either way, one day, you guys will understand why I don't label myself. We'll see what I decide. No big decisions until after fashion week!

Just landed back in Florida after taking a red eye trip back from Los Angeles. I still haven't been to sleep yet! I wanted to get this post up because it feels like forever since I've done one. I had so much fun while I was there! I loved working with AA! Taghrid, who was my photographer, is extremely talented. I finally got to meet and work with the super sweet Heather. I love them both! I'm anxious to see the final product. I was able to see a few pictures and they are gorgeous! I can't wait until you guys get to see them too! I also shot a little video with them in their vintage sunglass warehouse. In my free time, I was able to visit family, which was fun! I had to do a quick post tonight. I leave tomorrow morning for Los Angeles for my American Apparel photoshoot. Some people might question why I'm wearing two different color shoes. The answer is...I felt like it haha. It's that simple. I also have this obsession with wearing two watches on the same wrist. I've been doing that for a while now. This post, I wanted to do a color scheme I hadn't before. Cream/tan, teal, and dark brown. It's different for a change. Everyone knows I'm a fan of bras. I made it back home last night from New York. The Seventeen Mag shoot went well. I can't wait until it's finally April 2012 so you guys can see it. I'm super anxious myself to see which picture they choose. Both trips I've made this month to New York have been extremely cold. I've been obsessing over huge fur coats lately. I'm always drawn to maroon in the Fall/Winter. It's one of my favorite colors and I love it on my skin complexion. This Dooney&Bourke bag my mom has had forever. She rarely used it and finally gave it up to me. Since the day she gave it to me, it seriously has been my go-to bag for everywhere I travel. It's the perfect size, it's black and gold, and can be worn with almost any outfit. Dooney&Bourke, hands down, one of my favorite brands. By the way, the winner of my Hello Perfect giveaway is L.K.! I'm off to New York again today. Tomorrow is my Seventeen Mag photoshoot! I was sort of rushing to do this post, I told myself when I got to New York, I'd post it. Well my flight was delayed three hours, so I came back home just to post it before I left. Dedication? I believe so. I love this quote above. It fits how I feel perfectly. I'm constantly working on myself to get where I want to be successfully. My social life is basically obsolete, I lose sleep, and I could care less about parties, chilling, anything of that sort. I'm a very complex person, so I'm never easy to explain, it's difficult describing who or how I am, but if you guys want to know how a piece of my mind works, that quote fits so well. Hopefully I have some extra time to take pictures this time around in New York. I have an outfit ready, but we'll see if I can get a few shots in before I head back out. Merry Christmas my loves! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, it is still a good time to spend time with family. I know this outfit isn't very Christmas like, but when an idea comes to mind, I have to execute it, regardless of the date. I have been dying for a black and white striped blazer for months now, I finally found this one in the thrift store and bought it immediately. The gold piece I'm using in my hair, I searched around New York City for a good hour when I was there a few months ago. It's really supposed to be used as a bracelet or necklace, but you know I had to switch it up. I love wearing my hair down but I decided to wear it up in this post. Last week when I was in New Jersey, someone asked me to pull my hair back, so I quickly threw my hair up to show them what it looks like. They instantly questioned why I never wear it up. I'm not really sure why, I just love my hair I guess. haha. They said with my hair up, it shows more of the exotic detail in my face. Thank you to the FashionFiend for this questionnaire. Remember how I was just in New York a few days ago? Well, it looks like I'll be back again next week. Seventeen Magazine chose me to do a photoshoot again with them on December 28th for their Perfect Fit issue coming out on stands April 2012. Two trips to New York in two weeks?? AHHH! It's pretty hectic considering when I come back from this photoshoot, I have five days to pack before I'm off to Los Angeles for my American Apparel photoshoot. It's all well worth it. By the way, I had to do green for Christmas. It was a must. My dress, along with my hat, is vintage. My heels are Jessica Simpson.

Seriously feels like forever since I've done a blog post. I just got back from New York last night. I attempted to take these outfit pictures while up there, but I've never and probably never will be built for that type of weather. Shorts in 30 degree weather is not happening, me in 30 degree weather in general is not happening. So I decided to wait until I got back to Florida to take pictures. That trip, hands down, has had to have been my shortest trip yet. I wish I had the chance to see everyone but time wouldn't allow me. I'll be back up in February for next fashion week. These past few days, I have been keeping busy answering all of you guys back. I ended up getting 60 tumblr messages in just one day, pretty unbelievable. I've been spending most of my time replying back to everyone's super sweet and supportive comments. My days consist mainly of staying home, on the computer, replying to emails, comments, messages, picking out outfits, and thinking of what move I should make next. It's a never ending work cycle. People see just a fashion blog, but there's a lot more work behind what you guys actually see. It's day in and out of thinking fashion, strict order, commitment, dedication to what I love and aspire to be. I've never realized how much my social life is pretty much non existent until now. While everyone is out having fun partying, I'm working. Getting all of your messages and comments are worth all the work I put in. I'd rather be inspiring people then out drinking. Thank you to everyone for being so supportive of me. It really is touching. I should be off to start packing for my trip to New York this weekend, but I keep getting emails on my phone and can't help but write everyone back!

I cant even remember how long its been since I wanted a pair of stripper boots. I finally gave in and got a pair. haha. I originally had this outfit picked out before I even purchased my boots, but earlier today, when I felt like my outfit was missing something, I decided to put a pair of clip on vintage earrings on my boots to feel the void I was seeing in the outfit. It's pretty crazy how my mind works. My blazer was given to me by my aunt, who usually cleans out her house and gives me what she doesn't want anymore. I loooooove Nation Ltd. They recently came out with a plus size line and wanted me to showcase one of their pieces. I usually am super picky with maxi dresses but the material, quality, and flow of this dress is perfect. You guys can check out Nation Ltd Here. For those who don't know, I'm a huge boxing fan, Miguel Cotto being my favorite fighter. People always asks who inspires me? Well there's your answer. Three years ago, he took his first professional loss against Margarito. When he found out there was a huge possibility Margarito cheated, he took it for what it was knowing he couldn't change the past. Instead of constantly pointing the finger or complaining, he admitted his own faults of being tired after the 6th round in their first fight. Shortly afterward, his father died, he switched trainers, and he still never made excuses for himself. He really is the definition of someone who loves what he does wholeheartedly. Anyone with that much love for what they do, determination, and assurance of themselves, will be prosperous in the end...as so he was. P.S. I made this jean jacket.
