A woman from Delta State (names withheld by us) who was kidnapped nine years ago by her lover has miraculously regained her freedom.
The woman who lived in the Ikotun Egbe area of Lagos stepped out of her lover’s house with her four children for the first time in nine years. The woman said to be a graduate and speaks fluent English narrated her ordeal to the people in the area who gathered around to have a glim of her.

Sunday Sun was told by eye witnesses that the woman’s lover who hails from Ekiti State loved her so much and wanted to marry her but because her family was against the relationship, he decided to kidnap her for keeps, to keep her away from her parents. He later took her to a wooden house he built for her in Okerube area of Abaranje, Ikotun, Lagos.

Neighbours said the woman claimed not to have known where she was kept because her lover would go to the market to get food for her and her children very early in the morning and threatened that she would die if she stepped out of the house. When he leaves, he makes sure he locks the house so she had no way of coming out. Sunday Sun was told that it was in the wooden house that the woman gave birth to her four children while the husband acted as the midwife.

Three weeks ago, her lover fell ill and could not as usual go out to fetch food all through the period of his illness. Extremely starved and weak, the woman forced him out on Friday, October 24, 2014 to get what they would eat and drink before they all die of hunger and thirst. Luckily for her and the children, the man forgot to lock the house. It was at this point that the woman decided to urinate and was shocked to see what had happened around her.

When the people in the area discovered her, they came out in their numbers and started questioning her as they thought she was mad. She and her children were so much emaciated but from her responses and body language, they realized she and the children were okay and mentally sound. While in forced confinement, she had taught the children their lessons such that they spoke very well when with their mother in the crowd. She remembered her sister’s contact and one of the sympathizers quickly put a call through to her. In about 30 minutes, the sister arrived at the scene and took her and the children away.

Eyewitnesses reported that her husband had not returned from the market when she was taken away. They said she was so upset at the forceful rescue that she was screaming at the top of her voice: “My husband oh, my husband!” thereby getting her sister angry and shouting back at her; “which yeye husband you dey call?”

A lady who lived in the neighbourhood said the man built the wooden house near her house. Whenever people go near the place to see if anyone lives there, he would use a catapult and stone to hit them and chase them away. She said: “Anyone who tries to get close, this man will use catapult and stone to shoot them so people had to let him be thinking he was mentally unbalanced. We didn’t even know he was living there with five people. When the man got back, he found the house empty. He began to shout, ‘’I hate human beings, that is why I isolated myself and my family from them.’’Can you imagine”?

It is uncertain if the man is himself a graduate or if he is mentally stable but one thing is certain: He was not ready to set his “wife” free and was very upset when she left.

89-year old Primate David Olonade has many wives and he is not afraid to say it. The founder of The Ark of Covenant Church, Aladura spoke with Kayode Falade of Punch on why he married many wives and how he tries to treat them as angels.

How many wives do you have?
I have many wives but now I live with only two.
Why did you marry more than one wife?
I am a man of peace who abhors violence, nagging or bickering. I don’t have time for such things. I see women as fragile vessels. I have never laid my hands on any woman before in my life. I don’t see any reason for a man to beat his wife. I take care of my wives to the best of ability. I even pamper them. I don’t allow my wives to wash my clothes. I see giving clothes to one’s wife to wash as a kind of punishment. As such, I have always had a washer man to do my laundry. But some women being what they are will still misbehave. When a woman becomes uncontrollable under my roof, after many warnings, I invite her people and ask them to take her away.
Why are you not living with all of them?
I am a man who does not like bickering and quarrels. If a woman is getting too quarrelsome or belligerent, I ask her to leave.

About 2 weeks ago, we posted a video of young model Sara X who filmed herself twerking her b00bs.
It was quite amazing, wiggling her b00bs, the sychronization was very challenging.
Latest report has it that she is receiving death threat for her actions.

In an editorial for Jezebel, the Las Vegas-based former “sort of” stripper revealed that she has received a few death threats after her video, which millions of people have viewed in the past week, went viral.
Mostly the people who have negative things to say about my character, or my presumed profession, past profession, and life decisions don’t get that the video is meant to be humorous, and operate under the assumption that I just wanted to show the world my boobs. But the reactions that really floored me were the incredibly detailed conspiracy theories from the naysayers claiming it was fake.

But overall, Sara says that her 15 minutes video have been overwhelmingly positive.

She’s used the extra attention to raise money for breast cancer research, and has released a follow-up “bwerking” video set to “Dueling Banjos.

If it was inside a room that a pastor and his choir mistress were caught in this act, it could have been something that may seem a little normal but outside… It was something that has caused a lot of eyebrows to rise.

A randy pastor who couldn’t control his lust had to follow his choir mistress to the market and when he believed that no one was around to see them behind a market, he jumped on her.
Of course, the two of them were lovers and they didn’t mind who was looking at them. However, the internet is one bad place where they should never be caught because everyone is going to talk about it even after months

Churches are always at the forefront of development. Various religion-related centres promote building schools, hospitals, vocational skills acquisition centres, farms and cottage industries, and many

One should also note various scholarships, free books, food, clothes and even shelter. A church wants to ensure that its members live good and faithful lives before they pass away.

However, the modern church slowly abandons old ideals, Vanguard notices and gives several clear examples:
Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, July 6, 2014: A priest at a church offers the congregation to appreciate God with various contributions: N200,000 – special blessing; then N150,000, N100,000 and so on, to N50,000 to N5,000 and below.
At the end of the day, the priest made a general blessing for the entire church. Apparently, nobody came out for N200,000 blessing.
Pastor David Oyedepo of Living Faith Mission (Winners Chapel) owns several private jets, Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream G450, Gulfstream V and LearJet with combined value of $98.3million (N15.9billion).
The General Overseer of RCCG Pastor E.A. Adeboye also owns Gulfstream V private jet. The President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ayo Oritsejafor, leased one of his flying machines to cash smugglers for illegal weapons purchase in South Africa.
The Pentecostal churches are in the lead for revenue drive. The income is big, but the programmes to help the poor are not big enough. Well-established churches keep opening private universities. Their fees range from N1.5 million to N3 million per session, so only the wealthy can afford it.
At the same time, there are 10 to 80 per cent discounts for children and wards of the university’s staff, children of pastors and some indigent church members.
Dr. Joseph Antyo of the University of Mkar, a private university in Benue State owned by the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) however believes that poverty issues in Nigeria cannot be solved without participation of churches.
“Churches should see poverty eradication as a part of their mission of evangelisation, since not only spiritual but also material salvation is needed to truly free someone. Some of the money that some churches have should be made available to their members in form of loans and other poverty alleviation measures, and the churches should be able to build on their greatest strengths which are trust and commitment rather than dependency.
“Churches should also motivate their members to work or to help create employment, since the lack of it is probably the greatest bane of Africa today,” he concluded.

New York City police Commissioner William Bratton says the hatchet attack on four rookie officers was a terrorist act by a homegrown radical.

Bratton said Friday the suspect, Zale Thompson, was a Muslim convert who ranted online against America, but had no clear ties to international terrorism. He believes Thompson was Thompson was killed by police. One officer is hospitalized with a head wound.

Bratton says investigators are trying to determine whether the attack was planned.
Police are examining Thompson’s computer for clues. Bratton says investigators found that Thompson browsed for organized terror groups, as well as beheadings and the shooting in Canada earlier this week.
Authorities also are trying to determine if Thompson had any history of mental illness. But Bratton says he is comfortable calling it a “terrorist attack.”

Scammers always develop and search for new ways to swindle us out of our money. If you don’t want to be fooled, you should better read about these kinds of fraud.

So after some research, we bring to you this short article to inform you on ways and strategies these scammers use so you will not fall victim.

1. Auction cars
This kind of scam is everywhere – in the Facebook comments, forums, blogs and websites. They post an impressive list of cars of all kinds. Than they claim that the cars are confiscated by government and officials want to get rid of them as soon as possible. Attempting to deal with them means that you would never see your money and any car either.
2. Sugar Mommies
These guys also can be found all over the web. They post spam contacts on comments on Facebook pages. They promise you that they would connect you with rich older woman (or ma=en) who need some intimacy and in return will pay you a lot of money. When a poor potential mugu follows the contact and calls them, he is asked to pay some fee for registration. Of course this money is gone forever.
3. Recruitment SMS from a friend
This kind is dangerous because it seems real. And built on tactics that work on many people. The scheme goes like this: you receive a message from your contacts. Usually it looks like this:
‘Hi (your name), longest time. This is (so and so name) from our NYSC days in Akwa Ibom. I now work with Shell. I just learnt they are recruiting and so I wish to let you know as a friend. You can reach the HR manager on this number but don’t mention I was the one that gave you the number’
The format may differ, but the general idea is the same. When you call that contact they start their brainwashing games and you may end up paying them some money.
How to stay unscammed? The key is always to think twice and never give your money to some unchecked or suspicious sources. If something seems to be too good to be true, it is probably just a scam.
The key to avoid being a victim is to never ever part with your money. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

www.facebook.com/kelechi iriele

Why I Spared IBB’s Life During The Coup - Former Officer Recounts

Lt. SOS Echendu is no more a soldier. He has been living in the United States, North Carolina, with his beautiful wife and family for about two decades. Echendu is an investor and a Nuclear medicine scientist, but he also has an incredible past.

A journalist, Azuka Jebose, found and interviewed the former officer 24 years after he had masterminded the siege on Dodan Barracks, the base of Federal Military Government of Nigeria. The detailed story published by SaharaReporters reveals more details on Nigeria’s last coup (the Orkar Coup), dated April 22, 1990, which attempted to depose General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, the then president.
Lt Echendu was on the run for about seven years of his life because of the failed coup attempt and the heavy bounty on his head placed by IBB. The man, who was described as “a very brilliant and courageous officer” by a colleague, Capt. Tolofori, does not regret about anything, describes it is a sacrifice for his country.
In April 1990 a group of officers, mainly Army Majors and Lieutenants, initiated an uprising against General Babangida and his administration. The rebels were led by Major Gideon Orkar.
One of the key figures in their plan was Lt Echendu, an Armored Vehicles officer expert at Dodan Barracks. His mission was to implode the base, dislocate all the armored vehicles, and, finally, to secure the perimeter of Dodan Barracks. Upon accomplishing, the infantry would have entered and the president should have been captured and / or executed. The plotters believed in Echendu, as he knew the place perfectly, had clear vision of the logistics and tactical aspects of the environment.
In the first ever confession since his escape from Nigeria, the former Lieutenant speaks about his involvement in the events and why he spared Babangida’s life despite having him on sight.

How did it all start?
“I got involved with the coup thus: The country was being administered the wrong way. There were sufferings and Nigerians were being abused and marginalized by Babangida’s administration. Nigerians were being dehumanized economically and socially. My unit had sent me on a course to Bauchi. Actually, I was not supposed to be in that Course. Lt. Pat Obasi was supposed to attend that course. But when due to other exigencies he was not able to attend, Brigadier General M.Y Ibrahim, current acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) of one of Nigeria’s military divisions was sent from my unit. Both Obasi and M.Y Ibrahim belonged to the 33rd Regular Combatant Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy. I was a member of the 35th Course. After M.Y Ibrahim had spent roughly three weeks at the Nigerian Army Armour School Bauchi, an opening for a foreign course became available. M.Y Ibrahim was drafted for the course. He was therefore withdrawn from the platoon commander’s course in Bauchi. My unit then was required to fill its allotted spot. An officer needed to be drafted, that was how I was drafted to represent my unit. Officers of the 34th course in my unit, who were militarily my seniors, were by-passed because my unit needed to field an officer who would excel. I got to Bauchi on a Sunday, the following day, Monday, was the final examination day for “Communications” – the first of four phases of the entire course. Expectedly, I didn’t do well on the communications phase. I was, I think, 23 out 28 officers, and I didn’t like that. But at the end of the entire course, I was third overall, which meant I busted my behind in the remaining three phases of the entire course. Then Lt. Col. Umar Abubakar was the Commandant of the Armoured School at that time. I went to him to bitterly complain about the injustice of withdrawing an officer from a course locally to send him to a foreign course. In my mind, irrespective of ethnicity, every officer was supposed to be treated equally. But in this case, equality was thrown to the winds.
“While I was attending this course, I got a call from my friend who passed a coded message to me. After I decoded the message, I knew what he meant. This was early 1990; I was attending the Platoon Commanders course. I quickly signed onto the plan. I didn’t think about it because I knew it was the right thing to do.
“As a young man fresh from secondary school, I desired to be in the service and served my country. I wanted to be a soldier. I visited the Nigerian Defence Academy to enlist A former Commander of the Signal Corps gave me the forms that I used to apply to NDA. I took the NDA admissions entrance examination and succeeded. I was invited to Kaduna for interview. Then Brigadier Sanni Abacha was the Board Selection Interview Chairman. He conducted the selection process with other officers. One unique thing Gen. Sanni Abacha did was to announce the results at the Nigerian Defence Academy. This approach of his prevented the removal and replacement of successful candidates with the names of sons of well-connected Nigerians. I was enlisted as a member of the 35th Regular Combatant Course and three years later, I graduated. After graduation, I was posted to the 201 Corps Headquarters Company of the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps, the admin unit of the entire Armoured Corps. We provided security to President Babangida who was also an armoured officer. I knew about the strategies, logistics and workings of Dodan Barracks, including the electronics, communication and security operations. I lived intermittently inside Dodan Baracks between 1986 until the coup.
“Three Igbo officers took part in the revolution. We got involved for the love of our country and fellow citizens. We were attempting to change the sad direction the country was heading with the Babangida’s military administration. You had me, Late Lt. C Y Ozoalor and Lt. P C Obasi as the only Igbo military officers who were involved… Jebose, Injustice should not be tribalised and sectionalized. What was going on, then, in our beloved nation state wasn’t good. It was atrocious in the Nigerian army where the elite ruling class was marginalizing certain ethnic groups. For instance, to become an adjutant or admin officer in a unit, you had to be related to a Northerner or somehow be connected to the oligarchy. It wasn’t nationalistic. So what we did, in a way, was to try to correct some of the unpatriotic things that were going on, including but not limited to, god-fatherism culture in the Army. To advance in the army, you had to be connected, know a retired or senior serving army officer, a chief, Alhaji or a businessman who had money… That wasn’t bringing out the best in our army officers and Nigerians. We knew something was wrong. And we knew something had to be done; but then, did we the people, had the courage to deal with it? That was our problem. I was glad that within the army, I was connected to officers who had the courage to pay the ultimate prize in making sure we got it right.
“We were completely and highly prepared to die for our country. I joined the revolutionaries because I wanted to bring about the best possible change for Nigeria. I live in the US now and have been working here for a long time. If the founders did not pay the ultimate prize and made the costliest sacrifice, may be America would not be as great as it is today. Sometimes in the life of a great nation, few people would have to pay the ultimate prize for the benefit of future generations. That was what my colleagues and I did. We sacrificed for a better future for our children, a better Nigeria: most of the officers were single, but we wanted to make eternal sacrifices, and we did.
“The coup may seem sectional in outlook. In any organization, when a decision is made and if you are a team player, you either opt out; betray the course or you go with the decision. I did not see or read late Major Oka’s speech that was broadcast to the nation on that day… But since my group had been credited with that speech, I stand 100% behind it. However, if I were the one who wrote the speech, would I carve out some states in the speech? You bet I wouldn’t. Were things going wrong? Yes. Things were really, really bad, but then, if I had to write that speech, to carve out any portion out of the core nation of Nigeria, the answer would be NO. We were in it to save Nigeria and our people from the corrupt, reckless and indisciplined direction of General Babangida’s administration.
“But do I stand behind the speech? Absolutely yes. Remember General Collin Powell did not believe Late Iraqi President, Sadam Hussein, had weapons of mass destruction, but he had to go to the United Nations to defend that position. A good soldier doesn’t have to believe in everything, but you have to be able to be a team player. I never had doubts about our mission. If I were writing the speech, I would have worded it differently but I don’t regret our actions. I don’t regret the speech as broadcast that day by Major Oka. Absolutely, no regrets.”
Was the coup a real failure?
“I remind you that I was in control of Dodan Barracks. You can’t be everywhere at the same time. If you think the coup failed, well, we did not take over the government, but did it really fail? Jebose, that’s debatable… THE COUP DID NOT FAIL!
“Though we did not take over the government, however, some corrective measures we enumerated that we didn’t have the opportunity to institutionalize were embraced in spirit both by Gen. Babangida and subsequent administrations. Some people benefitted and are still benefitting from the actions of the coup. General Babangida, my fellow armoured Corps officer was not stripped of his presidential powers as a result of our actions. Ask Gen. Babangida, if he was ready to leave Lagos when he did? His answer would be NO. Did he go to Abuja as a result of what we did, he would say YES, because he was no longer safe in Lagos. He arrested the family of Prof. (Maj.) Mukoro and when they were rescued, IBB, our General, ran from Lagos to Abuja because he knew he was no longer safe. We castrated IBB. We made him impotent. We stripped him of the aura that surrounded him. He was no longer that invincible man, the untouchable oracle. We made him human and the Nigerian people saw that. He abandoned Dodan Barracks to me. I was in control of Nigeria’s seat of government. I was in charge of Dodan Barracks for that brief period. He ran away. Go ask him where he was. As at the time I was in control of Dodan Barracks, he was not there. For that brief period, you could technically say, there was a presidential power vacuum.”
Why I didn’t kill IBB?
“Part of my responsibilities that day was to secure Dodan Barracks for the infantry to hold the ground. I disabled it that period, but did you visit Dodan Barracks the next day, after the coup when President Babangida did a media tour of the place?… Jebose,if we had succeeded, Nigeria wouldn’t be as decayed today as citizens feel. For the sake of decency, it’s not up to me to say what I did but history would vindicate the just. I am alive today because my time hadn’t come in 1990.
“Gen. IBB was an armoured officer just like me. But I was more current and he was far removed from the dynamics of the latest technologies of armoured vehicles and weaponry then. Late UK Bello, my former colleague, had also been removed from the dynamics of armoured vehicles operations. I delivered seminars on armoured vehicle weaponry. If late Major Omar, a Goodman, had been the one commanding 201 Corps Company then, it would have been more difficult for me to take part. He was a detribalized Nigerian, believed in your abilities and not tribes. We had Shaibu too… So, if Omar was the Commanding Officer, in April 1990, it would have been very difficult for me. The way you command your Unit as a military leader, sometimes would be a testament of good leadership or an indictment of your leadership. Jebose, you are asking how I was able to dislodge a military President, viewed as invincible and untouchable, the almighty and powerful? Well, my friend, to God be the glory!”

The interviewer and the ex officer. Photo: Jebose via SaharaReporters
“Why I didn’t kill General Ibrahim Babangida during the coup attempt, especially when I had him within the perimeters of the environment at Dodan Barrackss? First, this raised another question within the rank and file of the military community. There has been this innuendo that I killed Babangida’s Aid De Camp, U.K Bello. I did not Kill Lt. Col. UK Bello. And General Babangida knows that I did not kill UK Bello. But for propaganda purposes, a few misguided and stupid folks have been insinuating that I killed Bello. No. SOS did not kill UK Bello. The security agencies know that.
“I have a lot of respect for General Ibrahim Badamosi Babngida. It’s not easy for you to rise to the peak and pinnacle of your career. Don’t forget he was the Chief of the Army Staff, the Commander of the Armoured Corps. He is an accomplished human being. We disagreed on how he managed the country. We looked at the direction of the country and that was when we decided to make changes. In that circumstance, a military person administering the country in the wrong direction could only be changed through a coup detat, by poison or any other means beside the electoral process. You do not go to the ballot booths. It’s by bullets. We didn’t have the option of ballots but bullets. We couldn’t vote him out, so we decided to use the only available option to us. But then, did I want to kill him? NO! Did I have the option to kill him? YES. Jebose, did I have the bullets to kill him? YES! Did I have the armoured rounds to shoot him? Did I come in direct contact with him? YES! Did I see him escape in the 504 Peugeot vehicle? YES… Was I in a position to blow up the vehicle as he escaped? YES. But did I want to kill him? NO! Jebose, why did I not kill him? I was in my 20s, I was intellectually advanced. I wanted him captured alive and tried. I wanted the nation to see him and read his crimes during his trial so that our citizens would see where we were coming from… I wanted to set a different standard from what used to obtain: kill him and the case would be closed, but capture him and set him on trial, then the Nigerian people would be able to hear his crimes. Trying him and allowing him to defend himself would allow the public to understand why he did the things he did and why we decided to do the things we did. I had the opportunity to kill him. I knew how he escaped from Dodan Barracks. I saw him escaped in a Peugeot 504 but didn’t want to blow up the vehicle. I could have killed him. I don’t regret letting him escape. It wasn’t in my operational area to arrest him. We didn’t have infantry men. We were armoured men; I had my crew, but didn’t have the luxury of infantry to hold the ground. There were lots of operational failures. I didn’t have any communication because of security concerns. We didn’t want to compromise our intelligence by using unsecured walkie-talkies to communicate… I was incommunicado with the hope of other battalions realizing the sensitivity of where I was. There was no way to call then… No cell phones then… I did not have walkie-talkies because we didn’t want our communications intercepted. IBB had the Mossad security team working for him even though we did not have diplomatic relations with Israel.
I was very young then and was able to do what I did, despite all the security elements within Dodan Barracks. If you asked Gen Babangida, he would still be wondering how the coup happened. From my angle, I was good to my soldiers.”
Post coup or payback time
“One of my regrets is seeing some of the innocent soldiers executed or sent to prison for a long time. They knew what was going to happen but opted out early. They suffered injustice. The Nigerian system has always been unjust. I escaped rather than being subjected to the injustice they were subjected to… Our cause was just and we had good reasons to change the direction of the country. I do not think any of my soldiers would say it would be good for me to be executed and my remains poured acid in a mass grave.
“Maj. Orkar refused to leave. He had opportunity to leave. The 42 soldiers that were executed were inhumanly buried. They poured acid on their bodies and buried all of them in a mass grave. Orkar was not dismissed. Ozalor and other colleagues of ours were not dismissed. They were tried, found guilty and executed. Their families and children are entitled to their benefits. These are some of the unresolved issues and I would hope President Goodluck Jonathan would consider a reasonable resolution to this. You cannot deny the children of slained military officers’ benefits. They were actively engaged in the military when they were executed. Conviction of treason does not mean benefits should stop. The earlier we started resolving these, the better. Those of us who volunteered without coercion, fought for fairness and served our country, deserve to be given the same treatment(s) as any other military officer with similar circumstance(s). That principle of fairness is not being respected. You cannot pardon a few and deny others their pardon as well. The benefits of Gen. Diya, Brig, Gen. Gwadabe, Col. Bello Fadile have been restored. Their offenses were similar to those of the 1990 officers. The standards must be the same across the board for all.
“I am disappointed at every military change of government in general because you are supposed to be working with a colleague, but it’s agonizing to take up arms against your colleague. I am disappointed because we aimed at reaching the top of our careers in the military. But I have no regrets whatsoever. The Nigerian government under IBB, declared me wanted. When you are declared wanted without opportunity for a fair trial, it’s unfair for any brave minded human being to say you went AWOL. There is a difference between a court appointed legal system trial and a Military tribunal trial that was monitored and controlled by the man you attempted to remove from power. Those who were not supposed to be executed were executed without fair trial and legal representations. We knew if we failed, we would pay the ultimate prize. And I was prepared for that. I was willing to serve up my time. I was also clamouring for the country to take a different direction. I was willing to die for Nigeria. A coup is a coup. Nigerian civil war started because of a counter coup. If you are giving those coup plotters benefit of doubt through pardon, same should be extended to everyone. There shouldn’t be a discriminatory pardon. I have been pardoned but my pardon has not been gazetted. My pardon has not been gazetted while that of Lt. Col. Inyiam has been gazetted. My question to the service chiefs, my former colleagues, the NSA, all our legislators, ministers and all rational Nigerians is; how fair is it that my colleague Lt. Col. Nyiam’s pardon has been gazetted, but I, Maj. Obahor, Lt. Obasi, Lt. Okekumatalor, Lt. Okhiafoh, Maj. Edoja, Capt. Tolofari, Maj. Saliba Mukoro, and Lt. Henry Ogboru’s names have not been gazetted? Would it not be dragging Nigeria’s name to the mud should we collectively take the Nigerian government to World Court seeking clarification? Should we be allowed to do this when this can be easily settled and resolved by the present administration?”

A wanna be saint who is accused of snatching women's husband decided to come out and confess but this went terribly wrong because one of the ladies she took her husband hit her so much.

The husband snatcher writes “For the past 1- 2 years, I have faced excessive cyber bullying over the internet, I don’t know why I have been picked on, I just know I m definitely not the worst. I have
been accused of everything wrong in this world, but these cyber mofos have no evidence of me being caught in the act…This has been going on for far too long, as a matter of fact I have lost people who meant the world to me because of these rumours.
“I congratulate myself for being a better woman than most of these critics. The more I am hated, the more God surprises me with blessings.
“I am not a saint!! I am not the most righteous , am not holier than thou, yes I have a past where I was being a young girl and exhibiting what 80% young girls do but that is not the person I am right now, and I don’t think I didn’t things so bad to make the world cast me away.
“I am not writing this to beg you to stop spitting me
The wife of one of her victims hit her “Accused, how can you say we lie when we know it is true, don’t you sleep with men for money, are you not at your best with back on a bed? Youthful exuberance, my foot, you are almost 27. How long ago was it that you slept with my husband , except you grew up up between the start of the year and now

It is no longer news that Adegoke Odukoya, better known as Adé Bantu, has cut off his signature dreadlocks which he has been identified with since he was just 20 years old.
Having been with the locks for 23 years, Ade Bantu, who organises the much-talked about Afropolitan Vibes which holds regularly at Freedom Park as well as being a jude on the widely-followed MTN Project Fame West Africa reality show, recently ditched his locks although he admitted it was not an easy decision.

And here, NET brings you the woman who cut off the beloved dreadlocks of the Nigerian-German KORA Award winner.
40-year old Lola Shoneyin is a Nigerian poet and author. Her novel, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, a gripping and hilarious portrayal of a polygamous Nigerian family, was published in the UK in May 2009 and she has also published three volumes of poetry.
Married to Olaokun Soyinka, a medical doctor who is currently the Commissioner for Health in her native Ogun State, Lola’s husband, with whom she has four children, is the son of Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka.
Viewed as a passionate literary figure and outspoken feminist, Lola Shoneyin is the organiser of the annual Ake Book and Arts Festival which holds in Abeokuta, Ogun State every year, with the 2014 edition for November 18-22.
For Lola Shoneyin, cutting of the dreadlocks is as much a spiritual exercise as it is a physical effort and she is seen in one of the pictures praying by placing her two hands on Ade’s head before she started cutting the hair.

Peter OKoye has explained why the makers of Olympic Milk choose him to be their brand ambassador instead of choosing him and his twin brother who have always sang and endorse brands together. Here is what Peter said during his inaugural speech;

“Music is like football. For example, if I play for Barcelona and I get endorsed by Nike, it doesn’t mean the whole Barcelona team has been endorsed. This is about me and not me and Paul.
“Among thousands or perhaps millions of people in the entertainment industry, I felt honoured to be chosen as the brand ambassador. The deal means a lot, not just to me but also to my fans. If a brand isn’t worth it I have nothing to do with such a brand. The fact that I am ready to work with this brand is an indication of its top quality,” he said.

Father Accused of Attacking Church With ‘Thugs’ In Imo!

The practice is that the process of selecting and consecrating a successor commences immediately after a bishop is out. In this instance, the process became so slow that even the ordinary man in the street got to know that “something was definitely wrong” in the house of God. For more than two years, the Holy See was unable to announce a successor to the late Bishop Chikwe.

Mbaise monarch, Eze Desmond Oguguo, a Catholic, used every opportunity available to him to plead that a bishop be appointed for the diocese. Meanwhile, Pope Benedict XVI, on Friday, December 7, 2012, announced Monsignor Peter Ebere Okpalaeke, a priest from Awka Diocese, Anambra State, as the Bishop-elect of Ahiara Diocese.

Apart from the appointment being a shocker to priests of the diocese, members of the laity keyed into the stout objection raised by the priests. They were unanimous in asking the Holy See to reverse the appointment of Okpalaeke. This was not reversed, while the laity, propelled by their priests, never re-considered their stand on rejecting Okpalaeke as their bishop.

When it became clear that the priests were adamant over the issue, the Catholic Church decided to move the consecration of Okpalaeke to the Seat of Wisdom Seminary, Ulakwo, Owerri North local council area of Imo State. A tight security was weaved around the venue of the event by security agencies.

But after the consecration, Okpalaeke was not allowed to move into the Bishop’s Court in Nnarambia, Mbaise. The priests equally refused to recognize him as their bishop.

The former administrator of the diocese, Monsignor Theo Nwalo, in a paper titled, “Responding to the current problems in Ahiara Diocese”, noted that the pronouncement of Okpalaeke by the Papacy elicited sadness and anger instead of jubilation and joyful celebration.

“Being a native of this diocese and having served in this diocese all my life, I must report that I have never seen Mbaise people this angry before. There is anger all over the place. And people seem to be preparing for the worst”, Nwalo stated.

“The Catholic faith in this once bastion of the Catholic Church in Nigeria has suddenly come under a very severe criticism and threat, especially since the announcement of Monsignor Peter Okpalaeke as our Bishop-elect”.

He expressed the fear that “the situation will grow worse if nothing is done to resolve the problem quickly, so that priests and ordinary Christians could return to practicing their faith in peace and joy”.

Nwalo was being prophetic in the piece he wrote several months ago as the disagreement over the bishop-elect took a dangerous dimension October 16, 2014, when priests allegedly engaged in free for all.
http://dvsl3w2q45hb8.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Catholic-crisis1.gif

Sunday Vanguard investigations revealed that Rev. Fr. Januarius Chima Ahaneku went to St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Nnarambia, at about 7.15pm, following his posting to the parish by the Vicar General of the embattled diocese, Rev. Fr. Clement Ebii.

While Ahaneku was accused of storming the parish with some people and assaulting the resident priest, Rev. Fr. Marcellinus Nweke, Ahaneku countered that he was there on legitimate posting.

Catholic-crisisNweke explained that he had to alert the police and the people when his brother priest allegedly “exhibited an act unbecoming of an ordained Catholic priest”.

“They started harassing us, using hammer and some iron bars to break the doors to enter. Some of us even sustained injuries. I dislocated my left shoulder”, he said.

The resident priest alleged that the police recovered pump action rifle, double barrel gun and an electric shocker from Ahaneku and his friends.

In his own account, Ahaneku said he presented a letter from the Vicar General deploying him to St. Brigid’s Parish as Acting Parish Priest, and he never attempted the use of violence as claimed by Nweke. He explained that the men, who were arrested by the police as thugs, merely accompanied him to the Parish, to assist him settle down with his belongings.

“The parish priest left without the knowledge of the Vicar General/Delegate of the Diocese. So, I was detailed to go there and take care of the souls of the parishioners. I didn’t go there with thugs”, Ahaneku said.

The obviously angry priest went on: “When Fr. Nweke came out, we greeted each other and I explained my mission to him and he said he was not informed of the posting and insisted that the Vicar General should call him.

“The Vicar General called him severally but he refused to pick his calls. I took him to my car and showed him my authority, the letter I was given and after reading it, he said there was no problem.”

Continuing, the priest recalled that as he was trying to move his belongings into the parish house, with the help of his friends, Nweke started making calls.

“They first raised false alarm to the police that some armed robbers invaded their house. In a matter of minutes, several people stormed the place. A lot of them were carrying machetes and other dangerous weapons. I wanted to leave in my vehicle but my brother priest stood in front of my car, insisting that I will not move an inch. In order not to smash him or commit any crime, I left the vehicle there”.

The Sports Utility Vehicle, which Ahaneku drove to the parish was vandalized by angry youths who rushed to the parish and was still in the custody of the Church at the time of going to press.

The Vicar General of the Diocese, Ebii, however, confirmed that Ahaneku had his approval to report to St. Brigid’s Catholic Church.

“Fr. Ahaneku was sent there officially to go and do pastoral work. He had a legal paper from me”,Ebii said.

Interestingly, The Guide, a tabloid published by Ahiara Catholic Diocese, in its volume 16 number 22, flashed a screaming headline: “Outrage: Pro-Okpalaeke hoodlums invade St. Brigid’s Church”. The management of the paper not only used unprintable words against their Ahaneku, but also tongue lashed John Cardinal Onaiyekan in their “Guide Comment”.

Reacting to the publication, a villager, who simply identified himself as Nnaemeka, said: “What was interesting about the publication was that the paper published the photographs of the alleged thugs, drenched in their own blood. The paper was however silent on who inflicted the varying degrees of bodily harm on the citizens”.

After showing SundayVanguard the photographs of vehicles allegedly used by Ahaneku and his friends and published by The Guide, Nnaemeka wondered how supposed thugs would go to battle with their expensive vehicles. In the meantime, Imo State Police Command has appealed to the Administrator of Ahiara Diocese, who doubles as the Archbishop of Abuja Ecclesiastical Province, His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, to find a lasting solution to the Ahiara Diocese crisis.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, made the appeal while reacting to the St. Brigid’s Church, Nnarambia incident.

“It is most shocking that priests can get to the level they did in the last episode. The Catholic Church and its priests are supposed to show good examples for others to follow”, the PPRO said.

Enwerem said the Owerri Area Command was already handling the matter, while some people have been arrested in connection with the incident

According to a breaking news report on AFP, around 30 adolescents -- some of them girls aged as young as 11 -- have been abducted in northeast Nigeria by suspected Boko Haram rebels.

"The insurgents... grabbed young people, boys and girls, from our region," said Alhaji Shettima Maina, who is in charge of the Mafa village around 50 kilometres (30 miles) east of Maiduguri, the
capital of Borno state.
"They took all boys aged 13 and over... and all girls aged 11 and more. According to our information, 30 young people were abducted in the last two days."

Another village elder, Mallam Ashiekh Mustapha, confirmed the account. Both men said 17 people were also killed in recent days in a Boko Haram attack on the nearby village of Ndongo. Boko Haram, which has been waging a bloody insurgency since 2009, has been responsible for waves of attacks and abductions.

In April, the Islamist rebel group snatched more than 200 schoolgirls from Chibok in northeast Nigeria, triggering an international outcry. Kidnapping young women and girls -- as well as forcibly conscripting young men and boys to fight for Boko Haram -- is a well-established tactic by the militants. Some estimates put the number of women held by the group in the high hundreds. Most are believed to be forced into marriages with rebels.

The latest kidnapping comes despite the Nigerian government declaring a truce with the insurgents and the army retaking control of Abadam in the north-east on Saturday, according to a senior security official in the region. But local chief Maina said his village and areas around it were targeted in nearly daily raids by Boko Haram, and many residents have fled to Maiduguri "for fear of being killed or losing their children". He said he had pleaded for help from the Nigerian government but that so far none had been forthcoming.

There was confusion on the premises of Stanbic IBTC in the Ifo area of Ogun State after a banker, Mr. Ogidan Bolaji, was hit with the butt of a gun by a police officer identified as Kayode Ojo, leaving the 25-year-old victim with a deep cut on his face.
The matter, which was said to have been reported at the Sango Police Station, was however, said to have been dismissed by the police authorities.

Bolaji, an indigene of Ewekoro area of the state, said he wanted justice in the matter.
He said he had alighted from his car to make withdrawal from the bank’s ATM when he decided to ease himself.
He said, “I was coming from Ifo with a neighbour. But, on our way, I discovered I was cash-strapped, and needed to make a withdrawal. So, we stopped by at Alisaba, in Ado Odo Ota where the bank is located.
“We parked outside their premises and on getting to the ATM, the security guard said there was no network.
“I was so pressed that I had to urinate beside my car. Before I knew it, a policeman, came out and without any questioning, hit me with his rod. I asked him what I did wrong, but instead of a reply, he slapped me.
“The man in my car and some other security men around the bank came out to intervene. My neighbour was trying to question the policeman on why he slapped me, instead, he cocked his gun and pointed it at me, and I had to run away.
“I told people to caution him not to fire a shot. I was just a bit unfortunate that he caught me at a close corner and I did not have an escape route. He used the butt of the gun to hit me on my face and I sustained a deep cut.”
He said he was rushed to a hospital because he could not go to the station with a blood-stained face.
After treatment, Ogidan said he reported at the Sango Police Station but was disappointed as the police asked him to settle the matter with the police officer.
He said, “The police changed the story and said I and my friend were drunk, and we were peeing around the whole premises without having any transaction in the bank, which were all lies.
“At the end of the day, the police said we should go and settle and the police officer should pay my hospital bill.
“We were also forced to make a statement of withdrawal. I don’t want this matter to die like this because I have been harassed unjustly.”
Another eyewitness, who claimed to be the man with Ogidan in the car, Mr. Kehinde Idowu, corroborated the story.
He said that the police officer had first chased Ogidan around the premises with the gun before hitting his face with its butt.
He added, “We will still take up the matter. I was personally disappointed at what the police told us at the station, but you know in Nigeria if you don’t know anybody, you will just suffer in vain.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, told reporters he was not aware of the incident.
He said, “If they disappointed him in Ota, he should have gone to the Commissioner of Police. It is if the CP disappoints him that he should approach the press for justice. We should try to educate our people. I can’t confirm the story because I am not aware. Let him come to the command and I will personally investigate it and make sure he gets justice.”
A man of 47 years old-Alan Knight from Swansea stole over £40,000 from his elderly neighbour and he was due to face 19 counts of theft and forgery. When it was time for him to appear in Court for his theft, he went into coma for 2 good years.

Alan claimed he was in a vegetative state and could not get up, let alone come to Court and as seen in the photo above, his wife also played along. The father-of-three’s wife, Helen, was part of the scam as she was pictured ‘caring’ for her ‘comatose’ husband.
For 2 years he was able to get away by doing this until doctors watching his hospital room spotted him eating, wiping his face and even writing…BUSTED!
After he was caught, Det Con Paul Harry, from South Wales Police, said: ‘In my entire career this is the most calculated, long-term deception of a vulnerable, elderly neighbour I have ever seen.’

Dr. Sakoba Keita
On Wednesday the government of Guinea stated that the families of every Guinean health worker had died in the Ebola outbreak would be compensated with $10,000.

President Alpha Conde states that he has decided to grant $10,000 to every family of health workers who have fallen victim to the Ebola virus. Besides, payout spreads on the eight members of an Ebola education team who were killed in the result of attack by angry residents of Womey last month.
Sakoba Keita the minister in charge of the government’s Ebola response in Guinea says 42 families are currently eligible for the payout, PM news informs.

He says that this offer is not only for doctors or nurses but for support staff working in the health sector such as drivers and porters. According to his words, “The decisions was taken a month ago, but its implementation was delayed because payment procedures had to be put in place for the funds allocated to Guinea by the World Bank”.
However, Keita doesn’t give an overall figure of compensation. As reported by World Health Organization Nearly 4,900 people have been killed by Ebola mainly in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. 244 of them were health workers.

Malcolm Ramsey, who lives in the Loving Care Assisted Living Facility in Tampa, went through a serious financial change over the holidays. The 55-year old man, who rarely got visits from relatives, was suddenly getting one visit after another from his “loved ones.”

The nursing staff, according to TampaBay.com, started noticing the man coming home with bags and bags filled with items from TJ Maxx and other department stores. His walls were covered with stacks of shoe boxes as well.
It turns out that Ramsey had won the lottery. He didn’t win the big Powerball lottery, but he won $403,288, enough to change a person’s life forever. There were two options: $500 per week for life or a lump sum payment. He took the lump sum and now it’s practically gone.
The man spent all the money in just four weeks. He is also in danger of losing his government benefits because he received so much money at one time.
Judge Lauren Laughlin says that the state should have had something in place to stop itself from giving so much money to one person in a lump sum.
“You clearly can’t be giving this kind of money to people who have had the right to manage their own financial affairs removed,” Laughlin said to Tampabay.com. “You would like it to be a Forrest Gump time, good for you, but not with $170,000 walking out the door in 30 days.”
Ramsey has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and doesn’t take medication. An adult protective services worker noted that, in 2002, “It is your petitioner’s belief that Mr. Ramsey is incapable of caring for himself and/or his finances.”
After the adult protection services worker deemed the man to be incapable of managing his own money, Aging Solutions, a non-profit organization, was put in charge of his finances. In the home where he currently resides, he is allowed to come and go as he pleases and is given $54 per month as an allowance. He was a regular customer of the Quick Pick Gas station, where he regularly bought lottery tickets.
After winning $1,000 last year, the man spent a lot of his money trying for the biggest payoff.
“He was chasing that ticket,” the owner of the store says. “He used to buy that ticket all time.”
When he won, the owner, Ajah Shah, says that there was no emotional reaction.
“There was no emotion on his face at all,” Shah said. “People normally are very excited, jumping around.”
When the man received his $302,446 after taxes, he went and got a cashier’s check from Wells Fargo, where he’d opened an account. He then cashed the check at an Amscot store that charged him $14,000 in check cashing fees for just one transaction.
Ramsey received $19,678 in cash and 268 money orders worth $1,000 each. He then went shopping consistently, spending as many as 21 money orders in one day. He bought an $8,000 TV on Black Friday and 40 Timex Watches for his relatives.
The people at the facility became concerned when this man who’d received so few visits suddenly had relatives coming to see him in droves. That’s when they called his guardian.
“It was people who were around that had never been around before,” says Lona DiCerb, director of operations at Aging Solutions. “That’s troublesome when family he’d never spoke of prior began coming around.”
Police were able to recover some funds, but most of the money is gone. Anyone found to have taken advantage of Ramsey during the ordeal may be subject to criminal charges. It is illegal to exploit a disabled or elderly person in Florida, which has a large senior population. Violating this law can lead to up to 30 years in prison.
Financial Juneteenth lessons from this story:
1) If you ever come into a lot of money, don’t tell your relatives. They will be the first ones to guilt trip you into giving everything away
2) Lottery tickets are typically a horrible investment. Avoid them like the plague.
3) Visiting loved ones who are in homes for the elderly is one of the most important investments you can ever make. But if you want your children to visit you when you are older, you have to invest in them while they are young.
4) Avoid check cashing places. That’s a serious drain on your finances.
This is serious
