The evening before my cousin's wedding, I did nails for some of the girls in my family.

These are my cousin's nails, which are pink and silver themed. I used a mixture of silver acrylic paint with a thin brush and silver diamantes to create this design.

These are my niece's nails - she has strong and long nails, so I kept the base neutral and used gold nail varnish to paint on pointed tips. In the corner I used a thin brush to draw on the black flowery pattern. To finish it off, I added a purple diamante on the ring finger in the middle of the gold tip.

These are my aunt's nails - I have drawn little white flowers in the corner of each nail and accentuated them with blue diamantes. This one is really simple but looks really dainty.

These are my mum's nails which use a combination of purple, silver and gold. I used gold acrylic paint and a thin brush to do flicks and added diamantes for some extra sparkle.

And finally, these are my cousin's nails. I used a dotting tool and white acrylic paint to draw the swirly pattern on her ring finger and thumb. I completed the pattern with a smaller white dot on the other nails and used a blue diamante on each nail to bring the whole design together.

Indian Wedding Nail Art - 2 Easy Designs!

I was at my cousin's wedding over the last couple of weeks and here you can see my henna, which was done for me by a professional, as well as my nails (done by me) to match with my outfits.

Design 1:

For the first design, I simply painted my nails red, blue and green to match my outfit. If I had had more time, I would've added some diamantes for extra sparkle!

Design 2:

This one was more involved. I used two shades of blue - one on the thumb and middle finger and one on the index finger and pinky. Lastly I used gold on my ring finger. I recently got gold acrylic paint, which I used for the flicks on my nails and added some diamantes in the corners and in a line on my index finger.

I like having different designs on each nail, as long as there is a running theme - and here it is gold and blue. Hope you enjoy it!

Blue & Gold Nails In 5 Easy Steps

Hi guys,

It has been a little while since my last post. I am working on a couple of new videos for you, which I will upload soon. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel to see my latest videos.

I am going to show you how to create these nails in 5 easy steps:

You will need:

Blue nail varnish
Gold nail varnish
Clear nail varnish
Gold glitter nail varnish

1. Use the clear nail varnish to apply a base coat on your nails.

2. Paint all nails blue, apart from the ring finger, which you will paint gold.

3. Let those dry and then paint a second coat for a solid colour.

4. Paint a layer of gold glitter onto the blue on your index fingers.

5. When all of that is dry, finish with a clear top coat.

And you are all done - ready to party!

Trip to London Zoo

I went to London Zoo recently and saw lots of animals, such as this wonderful looking camel:

A trip to the zoo would be incomplete without animal print nails, obviously. Crackle polish makes it so easy to do these. They are similar to Wild Animal Print 2, which I did before. I basically used a white base and on top of that added gold spots of nail varnish. Then I used black crackle polish and as it separates, it reveals the gold and white underneath. Finally I used a top coat for a nice shiny finish.

This can be done with lots of colour combination, depending on how realistic and close to real animal fur you want it to look.

Pretty In Pink Manicure

When I have short nails, I like to do a manicure like this to make the nails appear longer than they actually are. As you have probably gathered by now, I can't leave my nails plain, so I jazzed up the manicure with pink diamantes - one in the corner of each nail and three on the ring finger. I also added glitter to the ring finer and thumbnails.

I like this design with the white tips because it makes your nails look clean and well groomed. Hope you like it too!

Springtime Blossoms

I'm so excited we've had the hottest day of the year so far on Friday and it got me in a springtime mood. I just got this new turquoise nail varnish that I wanted to test out so I used it for the background. Then I used black acrylic paint and a thin brush to draw on swirly branches, making them a bit different on each nail. Lastly, I used a dotting tool to add some orange dots as blossom. I chose orange to contrast with the turquoise, but you could use pink or white or any other colour you fancy.

Top it all off with clear nail varnish to make your nails shine!

I Heart NY

I went to New York last week and of course did my nails to match. I created the skyline including the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building across my nails, and added a touristy touch with the 'I <3 NY' on my thumbnail:

To create these nails, I used acrylic paint and thin brushes for all the detail. First I started with a blue background, then used the black paint to create the buildings. When that was dry I added white dots to create windows. On the thumb, I used a white background and black and red paint for the writing. I used a couple of top coats to make my nails last the whole week.

A Week til Paddy's Day 2014!

Are we all getting excited for Paddy's Day celebrations? For me, it is an excuse for a new nail design!

I went for a green and gold theme this year. For the thumb, index finger and pinky I used two coats of green nail varnish. I used a coat of green glitter on the thumb and white acrylic paint for the detail on the index finger and pinky. For the ring finger I used gold nail varnish with some green acrylic paint to draw on a shamrock with a thin brush. And the middle finger is just green glitter with green diamantes on top.

I finished it all off with a clear coat for shine and to seal in the diamantes as well.

Shiny Blue Nail Art

This design is really simple, it is more a case of choosing nail varnish colours that complement each other. I have gone for shades of blue and silver glitter. Hope you enjoy them!

Valentine's Day Nail Art

So Valentine's Day is only a couple of weeks away. Whether or not you have someone to share it with, whether you find the day overrated and consumerist or whether you think its the best time of the year, it is a great inspiration for nail designs! I have a couple for you this year and here is the first:

I used a pink theme with white hearts and dots in acrylic paint and a red diamante on each nail as well to finish it off.

2014 is out of this world!

I hope 2014 has been great for you so far and that you haven't already broken your new year's resolutions! Don't worry if you have, tomorrow is another day and you have another chance to get fit/stop smoking/eat less chocolate or whatever your resolution is.

I wanted to share these 'out of this world' nails with you:

They show a space scene with a rocket going up to explore the moon and a shifty looking alien there to greet us when we arrive.

I started with a black base coat on all the nails and then used white to draw on the alien face and the moon on the ring finger and pinky. I went over the white on my thumb with green to create the alien face and finished that off with black acrylic paint for the eyes and mouth. On the other nails, I also used acrylic paints to draw the rocket ship and fire coming out the back, along with the planet on the ring finger. To complete the look I added features like the rocks on the moon and lots of little white dots to represent stars.

I finished with a shiny top coat to seal in the design - hope you enjoy it. Have a successful 2014 - reach for the stars!

I hope you have had a great 2013 and are looking forward to another exciting year ahead. I thought I'd share these glitzy nails with you to get you ready to party whether you are going out or staying in.

These nails are really easy - just a gold or dark blue background with silver glitter on top, except for the ring finger, which has some blue diamantes on it. This design would work with any other colours you fancy to go with your outfit.

Christmas Nails 2013

I took my inspiration from a number of Christmassy related things:

My left hand has a Christmas tree with a diamante star, a candy cane inspired pattern, a penguin with a Christmas hat on, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and a Santa coat. They were all done with acrylic paints and took a little while to do as I had to wait for different layers of paint to dry.

On my right hand, I painted on Christmas trees as well with a dotting tool and then added red and green diamantes to the other fingers to look like Christmas decorations.
