Hi,

Here are some more magnetic nail art design ideas. I did 2 in each of the colors I have. My hubby is so cute. He wants to go back tomorrow and buy me more :). I wanted to try to use them in different ways instead of painting the whole nail. Here is the you tube tutorial.

For this one, I used China Glaze Pull Me Close Magnetix polish.

1st one I used China Glaze - Laced Up for the pink. I used pink pressed flowers (I know it looks red but it's not. The 2nd one I used a bright blue liner and some crystals.

This one is CG Drawn to You. I used two different magnet shapes and added some crystals.

The 2nd one I used silver to line the french and added some dots and a crystal.

This one I use CG Cling on. I actually used the first one in a previous post but added some dotting to the top and crystals. The 2nd one I outlined the green with a gold sparkly liner and added crystals. The base is CND Gold Chrome.

Magnetic Mani

Hi,

I went to my fav beauty supply shop for the first time in a very long time yesterday. I ended up getting gelish soak off polish gel and a UV lamp because my nails just constantly break (as you can see with my little pointer nubbin). I've tried and tried to keep it totally real, but this was the only way to keep my natural nail and hopefully create a strengthened barrier so that I can grow them long and keep them long. We shall see.

I brought some magnetic polish (china glaze) and created a design. Hopefully, you like it. I'm also posting the concept nail that I did previous to trying it on my nails. Here is the you tube tutorial.

Scroll Valentines Day

Hi,

For this nail design, I used China Glaze snow and then a thin coat of Essie Bungle Jungle over it. I think used black nail polish to paint on the scroll (using a brush) and used a dotting tool for the dots.

Red/Silver Valentine Nails

Hi all,

Here's two more ideas. The first, I used the little silver balls to form hearts. It was kind of hard. I used China Glaze Cheers to You for the silver and Essie Bungle Jungle for the Red. I also used CND Copper Shimmer on the Red under the silver stripe. It was really hard with the silver balls. I probably could have done that a little better. You'll have to experiment with it.

Purple Valentine

Hi,

I wanted to do something in purple. So, I first painted the nail white. I put a very thin coat of purple (China Glaze Spontaneous) over top and purposefully streaked it. I think painted hearts with OPI Ink. On the center heart, I coated it with CND Violet Shimmer. Then I used pink to dot in between the hearts. I think it came out cute. What do you think? It's so hard to take good pictures.....

Countdown to Valentine's Day!

Hi everyone,

I'm going to try and do several different nails until Valentine's Day. This is to give you some ideas. My first go round I wanted something softer and a little girlie. I used China Glaze Frosty as the base. Then I partially covered the nail with Color Club pink. And then I drew hearts with China Glaze Snow. And finally I dotted with Zoya Sydney & CG Snow. There are so many variations you can do with this design! What do you think?

I know I haven't been on in the last few months. Family comes first! With work and taking care of my husband, I just didn't have a lot of time to do nails. My own nails are in horrible shape actually. But, I wanted to get back into doing nails. It's such a great creative outlet. I hope you guys haven't given up on me and will come back and check out my new creations!!! I appreciate all of you. And as always, please leave me some feedback on the nails! Hi,

Hubby is doing better. So, I took time out from being a nurse to do my nails.

This one is a little funky. But, I had fun. I used OPI DS Glow. I used black nail art polish to draw the lines and also painted the tip black and then used the glow on the ends on some of the nails.

Gold Sparkle French

Hi Everyone,

Boy the last few weeks have been just crazy. They finally got my husband off the ventilator and gazillions of tubes and he's home but just requires a lot of attention and help. It's going to be quite the rehabilitation. So, I will not be online that much cause he comes first. But, I'm hoping to fit in a mani a week. I just don't have the time to plan or do anything really elaborate.

So, here is a very simple mani. I used Sinful Colors All About You. I used a more cinammon type nail art liner around the moon of the nail. And I used a tad bit of China Glaze Golden Enchantment on the naked nail. It looks really pretty in person. Not sure I really captured it on camera. Although, it looks more like the thumbnail all the way around. But, here it is!

Pink & Black Crackle

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been M.I.A. My husband had surgery last Tuesday and it just went downhill. The epidural went into his bloodstream and he was unresponsive. The 4 hr surgery didn't work so they had to do it again the next day. And then they decided to put him in a induced coma for 4 days. I have been a wreck. Today, they got him off the ventilator and he got to sit in a chair. He has pneumonia so he's very weak but he's on his way to recovery. I'm so darn exhausted. What an ordeal.

I did a quick mani tonight cause my nails looked horrid. Just slapped some Zoya Ruby (pink) on it and some CG crackle. Used a lighter pink art liner polish to outline black. Didn't have a lot of time to design so just really basic. Hopefully, after he's recovered a bit I can get back in a grove. It's going to be another week running from work to the hospital.

Sorry I have been MIA. Just dealing with family matters. But, I'm going to try to hang out more often. My hubby goes into surgery next Tuesday and will be in the hospital for a week. This has been a crazy year!

Anyway, here is my latest. I used the folk art metallic acrylic paint (from Michael's). I used the brush to apply it and layer it so it had texture. I used CND Neutral Sheer over the paint. I used Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure over the rest of the nail. I like it. Let me know what you think!

Black/Silver & Toothpicks

Hello gorgeous ladies,

So, I was messing around again with the dragging method where you drag one color over another with a toothpick. I put silver nail art polish as a base, then I put 3 puddles of black polish on top and took a toothpick and just made a design. It kind of looks like crackle polish. I like it. In the space I left open with no polish, I used China Glaze white cap which has gold flecks in it.

Excuse the dry hands, I'm on a special diet where I can't use any oils. But, I'm losing weight light crazy so I'll just have to be dry and crusty for a few more weeks lol. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Hi All,

Sorry I've been gone for so long. It's been a crazy few months. I've lost 2 family members and a friend. My aunt was killed in a car accident on Mother's Day. So, just been having a lot of down time. My family lives on the other coast so it's hard when you can't be around them at times like this.

I tried distracting myself with a cartoon manicure which I started over the weekend. I missed Orlica's Disney contest. There were some great artists that submitted some wonderful designs. I just got the dates mixed up and didn't make the deadline. I decided to just have some fun anyway. I forget how hard these are, you think it looks so good and then you take a picture and it exposes everything. When it's on the nail you can't tell. Oh well. Here it is, let me know what you think.

Easter Nails and It's My Birthday

I simply love turning 30 every year. It sure beats the alternative. I figured I'd do some Easter nails. I was in a chick mood. So, that is what I mainly did. It's cute. I haven't drawn characters on my nails in a while. I forgot how hard it is lol. I'm out of practice. I still don't have my computer back so the quality sucks. The Geek Squad is holding my computer hostage. I'm starting to think I will get pictures in my email of my computer in different countries doing unspeakable things. But, I digress. I just felt like being a little festive today. I wanted something to brighten me up and remind of fun spring colors. So, I used my OMG China Glaze Holo's. They look really cool in sunlight. They are okay. Let me know what you think.

P.S. Had a comment that this looked like it was really hard to do. I wanted to let you know it was pretty easy actual. I used the Born Pretty Nail art (with the tiny metal side and the other side is a brush). It's so easy to draw with that. I just drew the lines and used a brush to fill it in. I also used that nail art polish to do the dots. It went rather quickly even on my other hand! Maybe I'll do a little video. I did take some pictures of the polish before I filled it in. Will try to get it up on my youtube on Wed night!

Hi everyone!

Sorry I have been MIA. Last week was rough. I'm still trying to get over being sick and just got some very very bad news about a few people close to me. So, was a little scattered. My computer is still down for the count. You forget to be thankful for Photoshop's fast efficiency when you are forced to use Paint. Oh well. The burgandy is so beautiful and vibrant. Just couldn't capture it. Maybe I will try to take some pictures in the sunlight tomorrow and see if they are better.

But, have no fear, I'm back to painting. I was in a Zoya abstract mood today. I used Zoya Isla and Richelle. Let me know what you think!

Ok, so decided on some simple flowers. I just 1/2 sponged the nail with a lighter blue on a slant, and then drew a flower on. I used a metallic blue mixed with the original color for the inside of the flower and used yellow for the center. On the naked nail, I used China Glaze Glacier. And that is it. Hope you like them.

Hi,

My hubby brought a stomach virus home so it hit me last Wednesday hard (I am keeping track for judicial purposes). I've been down for the count. So, I threw together a mani this afternoon. It looks better on my hand then I could capture in pictures. It was hard to capture the copper shimmer. But, my computer is still down so I only have Paint to try to crop etc. I used Barielle Aura Angora (my first time using Barielle - a bit watery for my tastes), nail art striper and CND Copper Shimmer on the natural nail and right around the other side of the striper line to give it a bit of shimmer. Here ya go.

Crackle French

What a week! My computer crashed (I'm on my hubby's laptop). My 103 yr old great grandfather passed away. And I started a new job. I'm definitely looking forward to a better week coming up!

So, I don't have photoshop on this computer so I did the best I could. Basically I used a holo (China Glaze GR8) and covered it with CG Faultline (crackle). I think covered it with CG Golden Enchantment for a little sparkle. It's okay. Have a great week!

My lovely step daughter was visiting and wanted me to paint her nails. It's so weird painting someone elses nails. This is only the 2nd time I've done it. She wanted crackle so this is what we did. Thanks for modeling Brittany. I start back to work tomorrow. Boy, getting up early today was hard. Guess, I'll just have to get use to it again.

Thought I'd try another China Glaze crackle manicure. I chose a black base and used the white crackle on it. I think it's pretty cool. The white and black crackles are easier to work with thus far. The pink one, not so much. I have a how to on youtube if you want to watch.
