It's been a month since I posted anything on my blog. February month started really on a bad note , my father got hospitalized due to a critical health condition and to add more to my woes Nainazway got hacked by some nasty elements. Further to my surprise my web hosting service refused to have any backup for my last six month content on the blog. But all's well that ends well , Dad is recovering now and Nainazway is again on air. I am trying hard to get back or upload the lost data but mean while you check out this post.

This Black shrug from Boohoo is what every girl needs to have in her closet. The fit and style is so amazing and the fabric is just apt to wear in present weather. Here I created a monochrome look and the holographic bag you see from Miss Bennett London is my favorite these days and it has always been appreciated or caught attention whenever I took it around.

We girls love shoes !! Don't we ? All the shopping apps in my phone are filled with the heels and shoes i yearn for . The one i am wearing here are from Miss Bennet London available at JABONG . I haven't tried anything from their clothing line yet but so far i am quite impressed with their shoes and bags section . They have such latest designs and great quality products at very pocket friendly prices . I recently ordered two pairs of shoes from this brand and i am loving both of them . Designs are so chic and latest and one thing that always matters to me while buying shoes is comfort . I always refrain from buying shoes that are of poor quality even if they are looking yum and are being sold at irresistible prices . Block heels are very much in trend these days and who could be more happier than me . I do love wearing stilettos but not at the cost of comfort . Block heels or wedges would always be my first love . With the comfort of flats they make you look more presentable and classy . You can move around in these all day long and still have happy feet at the end of the day . I would name these " practical heels " rather !!

If you are a beginner in terms of shoe collection here are some suggestions for you :)

Buy the basic ones first like some black , tan , nude or beige and then go for bright colors like reds and blues .
A pair of golden flats would go with almost everything you wear whether its jeans , shorts , skirts or maxi dresses or even knee length cute girly dresses. So , just go and buy one now :)
Keep the designs simple for everyday purpose and try and keep stones embellished and bling heels for party or functional events .
Don't just go by the looks of the shoes or heels , try and walk in them and if you are comfortable enough then only go and buy them . An ill fitted or uncomfortable pair would reflect on your face .
Never get into tricks thrown by the salesman when they say that a tight fitting shoe would loosen up after some wearing . Avoid buying such shoes as the damage and pain it may cause during that loosening period could stay forever .
Avoid buying heels with elastic bands .
If you are beginner in terms of wearing high heels first try small kitten heels, platform heels or wedges . Once you get used to these try more pointed and high heels .
Only buy shoes online if you are sure of your size and have tried that brand size before as different brands do have different sizes as well as different fittings . And do make sure that the site has a return policy for shoes .
Invest in good brands as they are always great value for your money . Focus on quality rather than quantity .
A very important tip that i read somewhere is always buy shoes during afternoon as feet tend to swell during the day and are at their optimum size.

HELLO FRIDAY

I love it when you have planned to wear something else but at the last moment you just wear what you feel really comfortable in . I am running errands all day long for some major things happening at home front . Totally busy in preparations of welcoming a new member in our family . No No !! m not planning a baby any soon . Its my brother in laws marriage and m quite busy with that . Being MIA from blog for past few weeks have another reason too . Nainazway is going to be a whole new story soon . Working on giving it a better platform and adding some new fun elements too to the blog that i know you all would surely love . That's my second love after Fashion (Any Guesses !! )

             When you are stuck getting one work done after another you need to be comfortable in what you are wearing at least . Shopping is fun when you do it for yourself but when you have to play stylist to someone in the family who could not be convinced readily it becomes all together a different story . Running from one store to another , eating all the crap that you are offered when you are spending big bucks at a store by the sales executives . How much you refuse they never gonna let you leave without having their sugar loaded drinks and all refined junk at their place . At that particular moment you are like god to them to whom they have to offer their Prasadm religiously . Wish they could do much better in knowing taste of the client in fashion rather than their taste in food , Our jobs would have been much easier .

                This outfit was just thrown together at the last moment while going out . Temperature reaching 35centigrade in Punjab all i could think of was a basic white t shirt with mine so very comfortable sneakers from Converse . They can beat any fancy flat shoes or ballet scenes anytime and don't ever mess with them on the matters of comfort . In addition to that they look so chic too .. isn't it ? If you have had checked my earlier posts you would have known till now that i am hardly a jeans person . I personally don't feel much comfortable in them ( personal choices right !! ) and especially when you have to continuously sit long hours at one place , i guess leggings become your best friends . So , skipped wearing jeans and went for leggings again this time and a big bag was must to include all the mess you need during summers like sunscreen , water bottle , face mists , hairbands , EDTs , sanitizer , tissues , and many things more . So , this outfit had all the elements that would keep you comfortable and safe during a long day of hopping and jogging in the local markets or fancy malls .

Hello my lovely beautiful readers how are you all doing ?? This one is a quick outfit post that i shot last Sunday while going out for some window shopping plus watching the new release Dum Laga ke Haisha . How many of you watched it ? I was eagerly waiting for the movie to get released seeing its promos on TV. Although i am not a big fan of Ayushmaan Khurrana but from now onwards i am sure he's on my fav list too but more than him what i liked in this movie was his Co-star Bhumi Pednekar . The girl is i must say extraordinarily talented and not even for a second i felt like i am missing anything like a glamorous or perfect figured heroine in a typical Bollywood movie . She is so graceful and talented that despite the character she was playing in the movie ( you all must be knowing of an overweight girl ) she was looking just so cute . The way she carried herself is a message to all girls out there who think that they are overweight , that carrying yourself with charm and confidence can really make big difference ( stop running after stereotypes ) , So never judge your capability on the basis of your weight or appearance . You are beautiful inside and out just the thing you need to change is your perception about yourself .

THINK SPRING

Hello my lovely readers . Hope you all are doing great . This is the post that I was bit skeptical to post . Shot this on Sunday when blowing wind and cloudy sky was giving us hard time to get perfect shots . But still i guess some how i managed to put across some of the best shots that we were able to capture . As spring is playing little hide and seek this time, you cant predict what the next day is going to be like .Would you need your socks for the day or not ? But I love that sweet chilly air biting you in your light layered clothes. This is the beauty of this climate i guess , being little mischievous with us . As it was Woman's day last Sunday , it was Mr. husbands idea to pamper me a
                bit and all i was craving was for some fresh air and a long drive .

Idea behind this outfit was to feel super comfortable yet look little dressed up for a late afternoon lunch with some special friends of both of us . So , I wore my black jumpsuit with a floral kimono jacket having lace details to it. Wanted to keep the whole look very minimal so accessorised it a bit with statement earrings that i bought long time back but never wore , b,coz as per my taste these shout too big and bit loud . But its always fun to try out things out of your comfort zone and i guess they are not looking bad either . The link hand chain with butterfly motif is probably hinting spring already!!

To add some color to my otherwise all black outfit i added color orange on my lips and heels . These suede orange pumps are my recent purchase from my Bangalore trip last month .

KAMA AYURVEDA FIRST IMPRESSION REVIEW

Kama Ayurveda as the name itself suggests is an Organic and Ayurvedic brand that is chemical and artificial fragrance free . Products from this brand were on my shopping list for such a long time , but due to its scarce availability online and limited retail outlets i had a hard time getting my hands on it . Ordered it last year in December from a renowned online website that delivers you a curated box of high end cosmetic brands every month , but still not aware what they have been doing with my order so far . No updates from their side . Highly disappointed !! You don't expect such irresponsible attitude from such renowned websites :(

So, I had to search online for Kama Ayurveda nearest retail counter and found out that Empire store at Chandigarh sector 17 is stocking some of their products . So , went to their store and picked some of Kama Ayurveda goodies right away :)

KAMA AYURVEDA BRINGADI INTENSE HAIR OIL TREATMENT

Kama Ayurveda Bringadi oil claims to prevent hair loss , dandruff and premature greying . It also claims to provide natural conditioning to your hair post head wash with a mild shampoo on leaving it for at least thirty minutes into your hair.
I had used Bringadi oil for my hair earlier also but they were from other organic brands . Bringadi oils do have some strong smell but i prefer these over any other artificial fragrance oils in fancy bottles that do more harm than anything good to your hair . One just need to massage Brigandi oil in your scalp for good ten minutes with light hands and leave it for minimum half an hour and maximum 1 hour .Wash your hair after one hour as Bringadi oils contain really strong natural products that should not be kept for more than an hour . Kama Ayurveda Bringadi oil comes with a nozzle cap for easy flow of the product . It doesn't contain any artificial or chemical ingredients and smell is less strong as compared to the Bringadi Oils from other brands that i have used earlier . I skipped using conditioner after using this oil and it did conditioned them well as it claims on its cover . Lets see if it delivers more good results as it claims in the long run . Would be updating you on that too .

KAMA AYURVEDA ROSE JASMINE FACE CLEANSER

Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine face cleanser claims to cleanse your skin gently with natural ingredients it contains . Ideal for removing light makeup from skin and contains Aloe Vera that helps in healing and smoothing of skin . Vetiver and block cumin in it have anti bacterial properties and Jojoba seed oil helps in skin softness , rejuvenation , minimizing fine lines and promoting skin suppleness . It contains essential oil of rose and jasmine that moisturizes skin and also reduce skin marks and scarring .

Kama Ayurveda rose and jasmine face cleaner comes in a round plastic bottle with a dispenser pump that brings out the right amount of product without any wastage . You just need two pumps of it for proper facial cleansing . Doesn't produce much lather and it has very mild rosy fragrance . I personally don't like rose and jasmine based products ( not a fan of their fragrance ) but the store only had rose and jasmine face wash so had to buy it and i am glad that i did . This face wash is really light on skin and doesn't stretches out your skin post wash . I have very sensitive skin when it comes to using face washes or moisturisers . So , i rarely risk to experiment with these two products for my skin . But this face wash has not caused any ~~acne or pimple~~ so far as i am using it for past one week . Its not at all harsh on skin and cleanses skin really well without drying it . These days i am not having any major skin issues so can't dictate whether it treats skin problems like acne or pimples or not but i can assure you that it doesn't invite any of these either . People with sensitive skin can go for it for sure .

KAMA AYURVEDA NIMBA PURIFYING SOAP

Kama Ayurveda Nimba soap is a handmade Ayurvedic soap ideal for sensitive skin . To be honest i bought it thinking Nimba means lemon and i love lemon based products but actually this one is a Neem soap lol . Idea behind using soaps from Ayurvedic brands is to keep our skin free from harmful chemicals that generally non organic cosmetic soaps have but this soap from Kama Ayurveda contains chemical substances like caustic soda , sulphur and perfume and also TFM in it is 65% that declares it as a second category soap . To know about TFM read it HERE . It again disappoints with the way it smells . Totally a turn off when it comes to fragrance but if you have sensitive skin or other skin issues , you can use it for its medicinal properties . Otherwise i would not suggest you to go for it.

NEW LOOK FLORAL SKIRT

OOh la la !! this is what life sounds like these days . Finally i could say that i am in love with the way my life is turning around . February month started on a really good note .Got my blog adsense approved , getting my room reinvented and traveled all alone from Bangalore to Chandigarh for the first time . I know you must be thinking whats big deal in that but i must admit that these days I am making my every little achievement or happening in life count and a reason to celebrate . One thing that i learned from life is Stop Complaining . The day when we stop complaining about the little little things in life the whole world itself becomes ours . When we ourselves can't be perfect whether its our behavior with others , attitude with life , our habits , eating habits , our body , our daily routines then how can we expect life to be always perfect . I particularly feel life being perfect is somewhat boring . Little twist and turns in life makes it more fun and interesting . After a long dark night we value the morning sunshine and after a hot sunny day we feel the worth of cooling stars in the sky during night . So , don't expect life to be perfect but just embrace what it brings with open arms , if you don't like it , try to change it , fight for it and if you love whats happening celebrate it !! In the end every good or bad experience makes you grow wise . Isn't it :)

Now talking about the outfit this is the skirt that i truly adore because of its classic style and comfort . I guess every girl feels a very special bond with pleated skirts from the school days itself . I remember how i used to press my box pleated skirt every morning before going to school so that every single pleat should be neatly defined and tidy . I am glad that these midi box pleated skirts are back in trend again . I chose to buy it in a solid material that makes its pleats really manageable and it doesn't loose its creases whichever way you sit . Instead of pairing it with a single solid color top i paired it with a printed top this time . Although the top and skirt both are from different brands , bought at different times but still their prints compliment each other so well . Finished the whole look with a Black crepe blazer and some cute heels . Not to mention the cute little pouch that i bought from forever21 recently .

TANGERINE LOVE

My Grand mom used to say that eat what you like but dress the way people like . Although I never followed any such rules in my life but still there are few people whom i pay heed to when i have to
pick clothes for myself . It used to be my Mom before and now its Mr. Husband but problem with both of us is that we never agree on the same choices . Most of the time we shop together and when we are shopping for him he really considers what i choose and likes it too but when it comes to shop for me we hardly have similar views about a particular style . Its good to wear what you personally like but sometimes you love to do things for your loved ones that make them happy. Isn't it like that ? and this time the sweater i am wearing here was totally his pick . I was hunting for a waist coat or a jacket but found him getting too upset with my monochrome picks every time and especially my love for blacks and greys . So, even i scrutinized a bit and found he is right . I really need to put a full stop on my love for black , greys and whites for sure . So i decided to go with what he chose for me but indeed styled it my way.

I was not sure with over sized jumpers as they look more good on skinny girls . But its always worth taking risks . Keeping the whole look very basic i layered my tangerine jumper with a striped shirt underneath and teamed it with very my really comfortable skinny jeans from Dorothy Perkins . My love for this brand is growing day by day but one thing that really bothers me is why don't they have my size shoes . Dorothy Perkins have some awesome choices with shoes this time on Jabong but my size which is size 40 is never available or I can say never on their size chart .Would be calling their customer care after doing this post for sure :) Anyways , talking about the tangerine jumper you can style it in many ways . Wear it with a skater skirt either in black or a floral one with sneakers for that cool and young girlie look . On an average day just team it with acid washed light blue denims and a nice pair of black or nude heals . Acid wash denims were my first choice to wear with this jumper but as they are absent in my wardrobe i chose to style it with pieces i already have with me .

I would always suggest that one should stick to the product that one feels is right for them and suits them . When it comes to skincare I often follow this rule but when it comes to hair care I always end up buying new products every time after using a particular brand for maximum three months . Schwarzkopf was the brand I was using lately for my hair before I switched to this new B Blunt hair care range .

After using both these products from last two weeks i have noticed my hair getting less oilier . Usually i wash my hair almost every alternate day but now i can skip two days without washing them . Hair are less sticky and if we talk about volume it doesn't stay for more than a day . But if scalp gets less greasy its like half of the battle won for people having oily hair like mine .

Talking about the B Blunt back to life shampoo this was on my wish list for quite a long time . I just cant stand my oily sticky hair and as they say " My mood depends how good my hair looks " . Every time i go out i make sure my hair have been washed that day because they get oily on the next day itself post wash . I am quite happy with my dry shampoo purchase as now my hair could be managed without a wash in emergency conditions . This product definitely makes your hair look less greasy and clean but if you are expecting a freshly washed bouncy hair you would be disappointed . Nothing can beat nicely shampooed hair . And also you need to spray a lot of product as little use of it wont make much difference . Save it for those days when you are caught in an impromptu situation and do keep it handy on days when you need to look your best for those extra hair touch ups .

PEPLUM AND POLKA

I always prefer wearing structured fits rather than sloppy clothes that make you look more flabby than you actually are . Structured fits that fit you well and are neither too tight nor uncomfortable are the best thing in fashion . Peplum tops have all such elements that provide you with a slimmer look and bring out that feminine factor with an oomph . Here I am wearing my newly bought peplum shacket which I picked up from an online shopping portal . A nice peplum dress or top was always on my list but couldn't find the right one for my body type . Some were sleeveless with deep cuts and some seem to hug at the wrong body angles . Peplum can actually make or break your look if not worn right .

Here are few tips that would help you choose the right peplum top or dress as per your body type :

Avoid wearing peplum tops or dresses that have too big ruffles if you have very thin waist line .
Try to incorporate smaller peplums or wearing a peplum skirt would be better option for petite frame girls as it will make you appear fuller and little curvy .
Avoid wearing peplums with baggy pants , chinos , maxi skirts or wide leg pants .
Prefer adding thin belts instead of big ones with peplum tops or dresses if you are not tall enough . Wide belts make you appear shorter .
While buying a peplum style chose the fabric that's bit solid and have some structure and weight . Pure cotton peplums that don't create any flare are useless in terms of style and money both .
Avoid wearing peplums that are too tight as instead of hiding your problem areas they would accentuate it further . A bulged out tummy is always a no no .
A line skirts and well fitted tailored trousers work best with peplum tops.

Here I have paired my peplum with my very comfortable polka dot pants . There is always a pair of flats with me if I need to ditch those heels for a more comfortable and casual look . But heels for sure do have a feel good factor and these heels from Carlton London are very comfortable and one of my best buys . We girls love cute packaging's !! Don't we ?? Every time I see cute beauty hampers I cant stop myself giving them a try and when they are from some organic and chemical free brand they become irresistible . Winters comes with its own inflictions of dry skin , chapped lips and cracked heels . I personally suffer from dry heels and if due to foggy mornings I can't rush to my gym or my gym routine gets upset I start getting muscle aches here and there so these days I was searching for a nice body massage oil that should be a cure to all my such problems .

By now I am sure all you beauties out there must be knowing that I am a sucker for natural and chemical free skin care products . As it was my first purchase from Soulflower I decided to buy this irresistible cute happy feet hamper set that contained small quantities of all the products that I needed at the moment . This box contains

The first thing that really attracts is their cute bottle packagins in the hamper and almost all the products in it smell divine . I am using the happy feet vegan soap on daily basis as a feet soap and it really makes a difference how your feet look and cleans them very well . Its a basic soap that's quite big in size and using it on everyday basis will make it last for three months at least . It smells so refreshing and amazing . The best thing about it is that it doesn't make your heels dry and doesn't smell weird like other natural or organic soaps .

Soulflower ocean blue bath salt could be used daily during bath and could be added to warm water during manicure and pedicure sessions at home . Brand claims to treat body aches , body odors and skin inflammation with this bath salt but haven't felt anything like that still after a week of using it . But may be in the long run it could . Honestly speaking if the product smells funky i wont be buying it again and this is the case with ocean blue bath salt from soulflower . But I also ordered aroma bath salt tropical sunset along with this hamper which smell really nice so would be using it further instead of this one . Skip this one if you cant tolerate weird smelling products like me .

Its an everyday routine for me to dry my feet with a clean towel after taking bath and apply my favourite foot cream on them . These days I am using this foot reflexology tea tree oil which has bit strong but intresting fragrance to massage my feet . Just a few drops and it delivers instant shine and lustre to the skin . I am constantly on my toes from morning 7.am to 3.pm in the afternoon and when I get this little me time to relax I use this oil again and it really soothes my tired feet . It has a strong tea tree and peppermint fragrance which stays long on your body . Can be used on your body even and I would say this massage oil is a must buy from soulflower .

The last but not the least is their walk in the wood essential oil potpourri . It just smell awesome . Aquatic blue in color I have emptied it in a glass jar and kept it along my bed side table . It looks beautiful and keeps the surrounding fresh and aromatic as well . This could be kept in your almiras also and for that I am definitely going to order some more from their range .

So, I would really recommend this happy feet hamper from Soulflower . Would be a complete package for daily fuss free pedicures at home .

Hello Fellas !! Happy new year to you all and hope 2015 is treating you well . Mine started on a really bad note :( but optimism is what always keep me going on . This year I am all geared up to take new challenges with an optimistic approach . Its all about the attitude you keep about things in life that can change even a negative phase into a positive one and hope this year I am not going to live life agreeing things I am not comfortable doing and would try and be little more independent . So , hands down to my fighter spirit and here I am again with an outfit post on the blog :)

Talking about winter fashion if I could I would love to snuggle up in my blanket wearing my woollen pyjamas or track pants whole day but playing little dress up surely shifts your mood and is a therapy in itself . Occasionally some random trips to nearby coffee joints give you a reason to dress up a bit too . Here I am wearing laced black jumpsuit ( although its all hidden )that I bought to wear during a special occasion October last year but somehow could not get a chance to wear it . This is my first time I am wearing a jumpsuit and it could not be safer than a black one and wearing it under a jacket if you have love handles to hide lol ... but surely it was looking much better without jacket due to its lace back details . Would be wearing it when season would allow on the blog too .

If you are from north India or have visited it you must be knowing how acute winter weather is here. You need to wear scarfs , stoles , caps or beanies to keep yourself warm and even if you don't like wearing them you have to keep them handy as you never know when a sunny day turns up to be cold windy day in minutes . Here I have created a very simple and effortless monochrome look with my favourite moto jacket and added a shawl to it as it was much cold outside. I never tried or thought of wearing biker jackets myself and was always a long coat lover but blogging surely inspires and allows me to try different things and this is the also one of the reason why I started it. Winters are here with bang and finally we can declare it's fall . Hope you all are doing fine and enjoying the weather . Winters are not as draining as summers but Icy cold winds sometimes make it really hard for you to get out of your blanket and dress up . Here in north sun is hardly showing up from last ten days and when today its there people are out like frogs during rains :) Winters could be loved for so many reasons as you don't need to care about the power cuts , bathing twice a day , sticky or bad skin , rubbing ice cubes before makeup to make it stay long , or touch ups after every hour and for that a bag full of paper tissues , but my favourite thing is an excuse for some extra dose of hot cup of tea or hot chocolate .

When it comes to fashion winters throw so many options regarding colours and accessories . You can play with bright colours and can add beanies , caps , ponchos , scarfs and make even a simple outfit stand out . Here I am wearing my basic black sweater from Zara which is super cosy that you can even survive without any coat or blazer when temperature is as low as 4degrees. I teamed it up with a pair of oxblood jeans from Vero Moda . Oxblood is the hottest colour this season and you can wear or style in different ways . Pair it with colours like greys , olives , camel , mustards and cream and keep the makeup and accessories minimal to not to make it look gothic. Avoid wearing the matching oxblood lips but don't hesitate to paint your nails in the similar shade if you want to . An oxblood biker jacket is on my wish list this year but sadly haven't found any still .

Here I wore my oxblood with black and added a hint of gold with my golden analog watch and gold anklet heels from Carlton London as accessories , and not to forget about sporty cap to keep myself warm as well as stylish . People are calling Oxblood the new Black but I still feel that Black is Black and it cant be replaced with any other colour in my wardrobe .

CHAMBOR BLAZING ORANGE AND INDIAN FUSION REVIEW

Being a girl even if you are on a shopping ban for sometime you just cant restrict yourself to window shopping while on a trip to mall . You still manage to cheat a bit and same thing happens to me everytime . This time I just happened to stop by the Chambor counter to ask them to show me some nice matte colours from their lipstick collection . I liked their range and although it was hard to choose few as most of the colours were amazing and irresistible , but still managed to pick wisely the colours those were missing in my vanity . One is BLAZING ORANGE (rs.795 ) from their Extreme Matte collection and another one is number 164 INDIAN FUSION (rs.595 ) from their powder matte range. Powder matte range had been launched by Chambor quite long time back but its always new to you when you lay your hands on it

Chambor launched their extreme matte range earlier this year and as claimed by the brand its more than a lipstick its a matte stick . Extremely soft and creamy texture gives a velvety matte finish . Hydrating light weight formula with rich pigments does not dry out your lips . Super long wear and waterproof formula .

Although its risky to wear matte colours during winters when your dried lips are giving you hard time still my love for matte colours these days didn't let me change my decision to buy this one on colour swatch . Having scarcity of orange shades in my lipstick collection I was instantly convinced to buy this Blazing Orange as the colour was perfect fierce orange I was looking out for . When tried it was not at all hard to apply or blend on lips as most of other matte lipsticks are , just some gentle strokes does the job very well . Highly pigmented formula itself it works on pigmented lips very well . Does not dry out lips and has no funky fragrance or taste .Stays well for good 6 to 7 hours but would need touch ups after heavy meals . One thing I really liked about this lipstick is it doesn't transfers to your glasses or spoons. Even most high end lipsticks lack when it come to transferability . Would agree that although being matte it has buttery smooth texture and a nice finish when applied on lips . Glides really smooth and butter like .

The only thing that I didn't like about this matte stick is that it needs to be sharpened otherwise I am quite happy with my purchase

Talking about the indian fusion from their powder matte range , with a very normal lipstick packaging it doesn't look like anything out of box. As described on its cover its a triple action formula that keep your lips hydrated , provides sun protection and has anti ageing properties as well . Color falls in brick red or basic brown category .On application it really gives you good colour in just one swipe though you can build up the shade if you need to . While choosing colors that fall in coffee or brown shade category I just keep that in check that the shade should not make you look older than your age but this shade being very soft is really great .Very light on lips and has very subtle fragrance . Staying power is good but unlike extreme matte its transferrable onto glasses and spoons . Colour doesnot bleed which is quite expected from it as being a matte shade and no complaints regarding dry lips after application .

I am really loving these two colours from Chambor's matte lipstick collection and would recommend you all to include these in your winter makeup kitty :)

Red is the colour of love , unity , bonding , passion and many things more . For Indians its a colour for traditional ceremonies , festivities , rituals and is related to everything auspicious . Red relates to excitement , celebrations and enthusiasm and wearing this colour when my blog journey almost completed a year and also I completed another year of bonding with my lovely husband is truly justifiable . Each year passed with bond growing stronger and understanding each other better . Getting married in a traditional business family with an attitude that doesn't like girls from family working out to earn a living , he was the one who inspired me to do something of my own . And the girl who always dreamt of Bollywood and fashion , Beauty and Fashion blog became a medium to express and share my love for the same . And I am happy that I tried for it :)

From getting pictures clicked on terrace to clicking pictures without caring about the people staring at you on a busy road , I guess I have definitely come far . Shed many inhibitions and fears , become more confident and more than anything else this girl has learnt to say no when things get over demanding and at last have started living for herself . Blog that was just started as a hobby has become my passion now but with passion sometimes there comes uninvited obsession , and obsession invites all the negative things that blocks ones way to happiness , complicate relationships and growth . WINTER SKIN CARE WITH FOREST ESSENTIALS !!

Winter comes along with its own skin issues and even if its common to say beauty lies skin deep we can't ignore the importance of good skin . Although one needs to eat healthy for smooth and lustrous skin but taking care of it from outside is equally important . Dry and chapped skin is a big no no as it is directly signals your laziness . Acne or pimples are somehow sometimes not in one's control but at least skin otherwise should not look unattended . In winters we need to take little extra care of our skin and by extra care it doesn't mean one need to overload it with products full of chemicals but just keep it well moisturised and clean with products chosen wisely that should not harm our skin in the long run .

I was lucky enough to be blessed with very good skin naturally . In fact the only thing I knew for my skin during my teenage days was multani mitti ( calamine ) or aloe vera gel (all in natural form) as my skin is bit oily and Trust me !! I never had bad skin days during my early twenties . But recently due to some health woes and being on antibiotics for almost six months I am noticing my skin getting bit drier and acnes popping out every then and now.  And so my search begin for some good skin care products and being a believer in natural skin care I was looking out for some good organic and natural skin care brand .

Talking about Ayurveda products one comes to think about stinky , smelly and oily skin care products very much unbearable for todays generation . In todays fast moving life one doesn't have time to grind , rub or extract juices from herbs or plants for natural products . Everyone needs readymade solution which is easy to follow and effective too .Some Ayurveda brands that boasts of natural products are still loaded with all the harmful chemicals like paraben , paraffin wax , mineral oil etc. and artificial fragrances but finding FOREST ESSENTIALS was a dream come true . Their mantra is "If you can not eat it , donot use it on your skin " . Products are based and categorized on the basis of three main elements or three faces of beauty , Vata , Pitta , Kapha and are organic cold pressed and chemical free made in traditionally old fashioned way. I have been using their products from past one year and I just noticed that they are the solution for my winter skin woes .

Top on the list is their Kashmiri Saffron and Neem delicate facial cleanser which I have been using past one year and have occupied a permanent place in my beauty basket . It has very subtle and beautiful aroma and is very light on skin . Being chemical free doesn't let your skin dry after wash during winters . It has really helped me during my bad acne days and this is the reason why it deserves and wins my loyalty .

As we all know that Sunscreen is must even during winters . For me as I mostly stay indoors, I don't need a strong sunscreen so this Aloe Vera and Sandalwood sunscreen lotion is just apt for me . Its non sticky and works as a moisturiser too as it contains Aloe Vera . Works great on oily skin and being light doesn't feel like sunscreen at all . Smells really good and gets absorbed by the skin very well.

My another favourite winter skin care product is their Cane Sugar Lip Scrub . Bought it as I have some fond love for cute little pretty box packaging's . But the product turned out really worth winters as dry lips are very well treated by this lovely scrub . Have orange like citrus taste and smell and really leaves lips soft and supple after application . Though very little in amount I found it bit pricy , but as we say good things come at good price so never mind . I use it everyday twice at least and scrubbing my lips with it before applying matte lipsticks really helps a lot. .

Another winter warrior in my basket is their Aloe Vera Juice . A good option if you are aware of all the benefits of Aloe Vera for your skin but hesitate smelling or applying it raw . This is by far the best gel I have come across . Without any artificial fragrance it can be used as daily moisturiser and also could be used in face packs . I apply it daily after bath on my face and sometimes if needed on body too .

One product that I am definitely slave of is their Cold Pressed Organic Almond Oil . Smells like real almonds and could be used in many ways during winters . You can apply on your skin whens its dry or mix it with your hair oil to give your hair extra shine and lustre , or use it on your face as an anti ageing product . I just massage few drops of it on my skin before going to bed and get a happy skin free of dryness and blemishes { Give me an ear :) just add half a spoon of it in your glass of hot milk at night would do wonders for your skin and digestive system too }

So, these were some of my favourites from FOREST ESSENTIALS that I am currently using for my winter skin care and would be trying some new ones from this brand very soon . With air getting cooler and sun still shining bright in the afternoons this is the time when you neither want to wear woollens nor cotton does look appropriate for such a weather . This is the time you need to dig out all your silks and satins . Feeling the weather evenings are romantic and you love to dress up a bit . Adding a little more bling never harms too in such a weather . So , I decided to dress up a bit with my Femella satin top and my very comfortable track pants from Forever21 that I bought two three months back but still haven't worn these even once . You could also consider this whole look inspired by the much talked Sports Luxe trend this year ( Comfortable and wearable fashion with a spirit of athleticism )

Top is a wrap up style and too comfortable , although I planned to wear it with a beige skirt but suddenly mood shifted and decided to pair it with similar colour pants . Although its practice could be traced back to 150 years but the term Selfie came into recognition in 2012 and finally in 2013 it was announced as the word of the year by the Oxford English dictionary. Many more such terms were further discovered and are everyday being discovered like Braggies (for holiday selfies ) etc etc.

So , what is this selfie thing all about ?? All of you must be already knowing but still let me give a brief introduction to the term . A person clicking his or her own picture is known as selfie .

Technology comes with all its good and bads. Its good to share some light moments with your friends until unless it becomes headache for you . Selfie has lead to problems like , Self obsession , Self consciousness , Low self esteem , Depression etc . A persons charm , personality or likeliness among his people is quite often judged by the likes he or she gets . Is this criteria really choking you out ??

Don't make selfie a parameter to judge your day been good or bad by counting the likes or comments on your picture .
Keep this thing in mind that you don't need people to validate whether you look good or bad .
Less likes doesn't mean that you are any less desirable to the world , family or your friends .
Don't take your friends comments in a bad way until unless there is somethimg serious you need to stop . Understand something known as homour if you are posting on a social platform .
Avoid posting negative comments on the pics that you don't like yourself . Your comment is not compulsory everywhere . Give respect Get respect :)
Remember on social platforms people most of the time share their good moments so don't think that they don't have any problems in their life but you are suffering it all . In fact everyone's going through their own struggle .
and if someone's becoming headache for you their always a button called BLOCK . Just block it guys !!

And in the end there's nothing bad about posting a Selfie as it uplifts your mood instantly on a gloomy day when you are feeling low with some good compliments and fun comments from friends and family on your picture . So , keep sharing your fun moments on social media but don't let it become a Self Obsession .

RED LIPSTICK IS TO WOMEN WHAT SPORTS CAR IS TO MEN

Absolutely stands true . but that perfect red is that we all lust for . For me it should almost go with mine every dress , on every occasion , day , night , evening , party , disc , coffee dates , and brighten my dull day or dull face like anything .

Red looks so classy and sophisticated if worn properly . I personally prefer matte reds any day to glossy mattes . On those dry lips days when you are scared of wearing your favourite matte red colour I just scrub my lips with lemon and sugar mixture and then apply my favourite lip balm and I need not worry about my dry and chapped lips anymore .

Fashion world is screaming fall everywhere but here in north I was still waiting for that cool breeze , blossomed leaves , muddy smell and my plaid shirt to get out of my closet . This is the season I love most when neither you are drenched with sweat nor you have to pile up clothes on your body . Plaid is never out of trend and this is the high time when you take it out of your closet . Plaid shirts are famous with both men and women but I feel it looks more classy on woman than men .

You can style your plaid with a maxi skirt , a biker jacket or basic blazer . Adding some bling to it take it to just another level . If you don't want to spend on the branded labels you can get them stitched getting your own fabric . I wish I could have plaid shirts in every possible colour . Here I teamed it up with basic black leggings and added some silver elements to it as I am in much love with tribal jewellery these days .

As months get colder it could be teamed along with long boots and leather jacket . You can also add a basic woollen scarf to it as it would keep you warm enough and would accentuate your style quotient too . NERDY GLASSES AND JAILER PANTS !!

life is at its best with a morning wake up call from mom with tea on your bed side , when you don't have to decide what to prepare for breakfast instead you get your favorite things on your breakfast table without any hardships . This is to the life when you are at your moms place and I am enjoying it to the bits .

A lazy life sometimes brings glow to your skin . Its not always about how well you are eating , what all you are eating or what skin care regimen are you following but sometimes its all about the love you are getting . I know I need to control as the love and laziness combo often let me into wrong indulgences . So this time iam going to receive all the love minus the unwanted calories ;) :p

Here the pants that I am wearing reminds me of the dress code seen in movies for prisnors so I named these as jailer pants . They are super comfortable and perfect for that evening out with your friends . Added bit bling to it to make it look bit dressy . You can even pair it with a spaghetti top and when months get little cooler just throw a denim shirt over it . I paired it with a structured black top from vero moda as climate here is still not appropriate for a denim shirt . The flats that I am wearing here were a steal deal from flipkart . I was bit fishy about their quality as they don't have any brand tag but at last I am happy with them . They are comfortable enough and quality wise also they feel and look great .

I am kind of obsessed with red and black these days .. Every single piece of cloth I need to buy turns out black and every lipstick color that I finally settle to is red . So, in my Beauty box I have got some variety of reds that are from different brands and varies with prize range . Everyone out there in fashion and beauty world is screaming that orange is the new red but somehow I still don't want to come out of my Red Love Phase . I guess its gonna stay with me much longer ...

On any gloomy day color your lips red and see the difference . Red can make you feel like a Princess and can instantly uplift your mood .You could be in rags and still look gorgeous if you are wearing the right kind of red lips . So, next time steal the party deal girls wearing your red shade perfectly . Thing that I like about the colour red is that it suits almost every skin tone and on indian skin tone I bet it looks nothing less than HOT .

The only way to wear a red lipstick is to wear it right .

ARE YOU WEARING RED LIPS TODAY ?

1 . Tone down the other makeup elements on your face . If you are wearing red avoid doing bright eyes during day time . Play with your eyeliner thing but don't mess up with bright eyeshadows .

2 . Prefer wearing a matte shade if you want to make it stay longer and don't want to keep checking it every other second , as there are less chances of a matte colour bleeding .

   3.  Beginners apply it using a lip brush as it would be much easier to fill your lips in the desired shape fuss free .

   4.   Always keep a tissue under your lips so that it doesn't gets to your chin .

   5.  When you are going to wear a bright lip colour and especially when its red always apply loose powder on your face after you are done with your lip makeup as it would hide any freckles that you got near your mouth area while applying the lipstick .

   6. Cross check your teeth before you leave ( People always end up getting lipstick transferred to their teeth while wearing bright shades .. Personal experience counts !! ;)

   7. Finding it hard to wear a creamy red as sometimes it bleeds unknowingly and you come out looking like a participant in the hallowen party

    Try these trick while opting for a glossy or creamy red :

don't use a lip balm instead moisturise your lips with a cold cream .
next step is to dab some foundation and loose powder on your lips .
outline your lips with a nude color pencil or a shade similar to your lipstick shade as it would help you to fill your lips right and the lip liner would work as a shield .
blotting is the key ... bloat it bloat it and again bloat it :)
