KRCC's youth group, Fighting Youth Shouting Out for Humanity (FYSH), designed and delivered hand-made pillows to Congress members to urge them to "wake up to the Dream Act." One of FYSH's targets, Rep. Bobby Rush, signed on as a co-sponsor on October 20, 2009!! FYSH had sent Rep. On October 23rd, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Rep. Howard Berman (D-CA) organized congressional briefings to garner more co-sponsorship for the DREAM Act. Staffers from Congress members that have yet to co-sponsor were invited and NAKASEC reached out to seven House of Representatives.
