We would like to let you know that we are going to perform the Private Email DNS A record update on December 20, 2021, at 6:00 AM EST | 11:00 UTC.

Recently, we changed the A record to the new IP address for:
privateemail.com         68.65.122.10 -> 198.54.122.136
dav.privateemail.com     68.65.122.5   -> 198.54.122.134
mail.privateemail.com    198.54.122.60 -> 198.54.122.135
smtp.privateemail.com   199.193.7.228 -> 66.29.159.53

The transition happened automatically for all the clients who used default connection guides (using MX records mx1.privateemail.com / mx2.privateemail.com). If this is your case, please disregard this notification.

If you customized the IP address manually to connect to Private Email or you are using proxy servers with configured static IP, please make sure the settings are updated to the new IP addresses by December 19th. We’ll shut down the traffic redirect from the old IP addresses after this date.

As a result, you will get “Error 404” when entering webmail or “Server Unreachable” during connection in the email client. However, this change does not affect the emails delivery.

Once the changes are made, we will update via this status post.
