<p>We are planning to transfer part of the accounts hosted on <strong>Server 39 </strong>to a brand new state-of-the-art server. The new server will provide the power and reliability we strive to deliver for years to come.</p>
<p><strong>Time of the maintenance:</strong><strong><br />
</strong>The transfer is going to be performed on Saturday, <strong>May 26<sup>th</sup> at 03:00 am EDT/07:00 am UTC. </strong>Accounts will be transferred 1 by 1 to make sure all data is transferred smoothly. We aim to keep downtime to a minimum and will be performing the transfer outside of business hours to minimize disruption.</p>
<p>After the transfer your hosting account is going to be fully restored on the new hosting server.<br />
Could we please ask you to check the name servers of your domain names and make sure they are set to dns1/dns2.namecheaphosting.com or dns1/dns2.web-hosting.com.<br />
If hosted domains are pointed to one of these set of nameservers, we will automatically update their DNS zones. No actions are required from you in this case.<br />
If hosted domains are pointed to the old hosting nameservers which differ from our cluster ones, please re-point your domains to the following nameservers within 1 week period:<br />
<strong>dns1.web-hosting.com and dns2.web-hosting.com</strong></p>
<p>If your domains are pointed to the hosting server with the help of an A record, your new IP address can be found in the notification email that has been sent to your email addresses. It also will be duplicated in the second notification email that will be sent one day before the transfer starts.</p>

<p>A<strong> scheduled maintenance</strong> on Open-Xchange mail environment is scheduled to take place on<strong> Friday, April 27th at 6 AM EST | 10 AM GMT</strong>.</p>
<p>During the maintenance we are going to update mail and system software to most recent versions available.</p>
<p>The maintenance window is 2 hours, but<strong> incoming mail will not be lost</strong>, as out mail servers will be working during the maintenance.</p>
<p>This also means that <strong>it will be possible to continue using email clients</strong> <strong>with</strong> existent <strong>accounts</strong> without any limitations.</p>
<p><strong>Webmail interface</strong> at <a href="https://oxwebmail.registrar-servers.com">mail.yourdomain.com</a> or at <a href="https://oxwebmail.registrar-servers.com">oxwebmail.registrar-servers.com</a> <strong>will be unavailable</strong> for a period of time, that <strong>should not exceed 1 hour</strong>.</p>
<p>If you expect any critical emails by time of the maintenance, they will not be lost. But we highly recommend <a href="https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/1179/93/configuration-in-mail-clients-and-mobile-devices"> configuring an email client to work with your OX email account</a>, if you will need to read and send emails within the maintenance timeframe.</p>

<p>We would like to inform you that on <strong>Saturday, 26<sup>th</sup> November</strong>, <em><strong>mod_userdir module</strong></em> will be disabled on all shared, business and reseller servers.</p>
<p>When this module is disabled, you will not be able to check the site using <a href="http://server_ip/%7EcPanel_username">http://server_IP/~cPanel_username</a>  link. In order to test the site functionality before changing DNS servers to our hosting ones, you need to edit “<strong>hosts</strong>” file on your computers. This file is usually located in <strong>\\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc</strong> directory and can be opened by notepad. You will need to add the following line to it:</p>
<p><em>server_IP_address domain.name</em><em></em></p>
<p>‘server_IP_address’ should be substituted for the server IP address where your domain is hosted on (you can find it in your cPanel or Welcome email) and ‘domain.name’ for the registered domain hosted on this server which content you would like to check.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Please note :</span> if you are not an administrator, you will be unable to edit ‘hosts’. In order for you to check your site’s functionality, please update your DNS records to ours.</p>

<p>We are glad to inform you that Namecheap was accredited by <strong>ARIN</strong> and received our own IP allocation. We will not be reselling IPs anymore and will be using our own IP space.</p>
<p>All shared, business, reseller and VPS servers located in AtlantaNAP datacenter will be assigned to new IP addresses. IP re-numbering procedure is to be performed <strong>from the 1<sup>st</sup> of October till the 1<sup>st</sup> of November</strong>. You still be able to use old IP addresses till the 1th of November. Additional notifications with all required settings will be sent to all customers 48 hours prior to the IP address assignation procedure.</p>
<p>Please make sure that all domains hosted on our servers are pointed to hosting nameservers – <strong>dns1.namecheaphosting.com</strong> and <strong>dns2.namecheaphosting.com</strong>. In this case no modifications in DNS zone are required.</p>
<p>If your domains are pointed to third-party/private nameservers or you have dedicated IP address, you will need to change settings according to instructions provided in the notification.</p>
