Simmons Hall Rental

Simmons Hall is a premiere rental banquet hall, located adjacent to the Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department.

With a 200-person capacity, Simmons Hall is the perfect location to hold your next event.

Simmons Hall rentals include the use of chairs (gold fabric covered), tables (59" round or 72"x30" rectangular), podium (if needed), bar (small and large sizes) and post-event breakdown & cleaning.

For reservations, please call 703-368-0859 option 2 to leave a message. Messages are returned on Wednesday evenings.

Rental Costs & Policies:

Simmons Hall is available for rent in 2012 ONLY if catering is provided by BVFD. The hall is not available without catering.

The Simmons Hall rental rate is $900 per event as well as a $300 cleaning fee. A $300 (refundable deposit) is due at the time the contract is signed. This refundable deposit is to cover any unanticipated facilities damages and will be returned in full once the hall has been inspected at the end of the event. The balance of $1,200 is due 14 days before your event date. The cost includes the use of tables & chairs.

The kitchen is not available for use or rent. No exceptions.

Set-up is permitted the evening before (4pm to 10pm) or the morning of (8am) your event.

Attaching items to the hall walls is not permitted. Hooks on the ceilings are available for use. Violations will be taken out of the Security Deposit. Damages will be assessed by BVFD.

Post-event break down and cleaning are included in the cleaning fee. Anything left in Simmons Hall after your event will be discarded. Please take anything you wish to keep with you at the end of your event.

Please keep in mind that Simmons Hall is located adjacent to the Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department, which is staffed 24-hours a day. To that end, we ask that all music be turned off no later than 11 p.m., and that all events end no later than midnight.

Simmons Hall is not available for rentals on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Eve weekends. No exceptions.

BVFD reserves the right to refuse rentals at any time.

Alcohol Policy:

Alcohol consumption is permitted in Simmons Hall, pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Please contact the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to purchase an alcohol permit. A copy of the alcohol permit is due to BVFD with the final payment. Alcohol will not be allowed on the property without an alcohol permit.

A bartender is available for an additional fee.

Simmons Hall patrons are encouraged to serve and drink responsibly.

$750 (based on 8 hr. rental including set-up, event and clean-up time). Additional hours are $100.00/per hour. Please contact us for other rental rates. Payment of the rental fee is due 5 days prior to your event.

General Rental Information

Rental fee includes rental space, use of the kitchen (stove, oven and refrigerator) and bathrooms. Rectangular (10ft.) tables and folding chairs are also available for use. Set up is not included or available. Floor cleaning services will be provided at the conclusion of your event with the exception of all food and/or decorations brought into the hall. The hall must be left in the state is was rented to receive full refund. The hall may be rented until 11:00 pm.

If you would like your event to include alcohol, you must obtain a banquet license from the Virginia Alcohol Control Board (www.abc.va.us). Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department will not be responsible for obtaining the license or any fees associated with the license for your event. The license must be on the premises during your event and copy submitted to the Gregson Hall Coordinator five (5) days prior to the event.
