I wore this a couple of weeks ago to the L'Oreal Paris event in Miami Beach. My day started at Tatiana's place; she cooked a delicious but healthy lunch and then we started playing dress up (as usual). She took outfits pics of me, I took outfits pics for her. Then, Gabo picked us up to go to the event and this is what I ended up wearing. As you might have already notices, I'm very into the whole black and white summer trend. I wore so much color last year, so it's a fun change. I really wanted to wear this skort (skirt/short), that every blogger seems to have. I found it at SheInside for $23- a lot less than the original Zara price and the quality is great. Since it was so hot and humid that day, I paired it with a black crop top and a pop of red with this gorgeous bag. Hope you are having an amazing week! XOXO!

Hace unas semanas utilicé este look para ir a un evento de L'Oreal Paris en Miami Beach. Mi dia empezó en casa de Tatiana; me cocinó un almuerzo riquísimo y saludable. Luego, como siempre, terminamos probándonos ropa y tomando fotos (yo le tomé fotos de looks y ella a mi). Después Gabo fue a buscarnos para ir al evento y esto fue lo que terminé usando. Siento que estoy encantada con la tendencia de "blanco/negro" este verano (pero es tan clásico y fácil de usar...puede pasar de trendy a super elegante en dos segundos). Quería usar esta falda short , que toda bloggera de moda parece tener... y como no, es hermosa. La encontré en SheInside for $23- menos de la mitad del precio original de Zara y la calidad es excelente. Ya que estaba haciendo tanto calor ese día, la combiné con una camisa cortita negra, un collar llamativo, zapatos negros, y un pop de rojo con la cartera. Espero que estén disfrutando la semana ! I think this is going to be one of the shortest post... because I'm exhausted and very jet lagged. I got to Madrid today in the morning after a full night on the plane, where I couldn't sleep. But back to the post, I wore this a couple of weeks ago to have dinner with Gabo. I felt like keeping the look very simple because the pants are definitely a statement. I paired the pants with this fun/semi-sporty crop top with a cool back detail. What do you think of this full B&W look? Hope you are having a fantastic day with your dads (husbands, sons, family, etc). I'm so grateful I got to spend Father's Day with my dad this year (and of course, with my mom, Gabo, and a couple of aunts from Venezuela that are in Spain too!). XOXO

Creo que este es de los posts más cortitos que voy a escribir porque estoy agotada!! Llegué a Madrid hoy en la mañana y no pude dormir nada en el avión. Pero les cuento que esto lo usé para ir a comer con Gabo hace unas semanas- sentí que los pantalones llamaban tanto la atención que no necesitaba agregar muchos accesorios. Quise combinarlo con esta camisa cortita semi-deportiva con la espalda al aire. ¿Qué les parece este look blanco y negro? Espero que estén disfrutando su día..y que la hayan pasado genial con sus papás (esposos, hijos, familiaress, etc). You have no idea how hot it is in Miami right now (well, unless you live here). I can't believe it's just June...this July/August is going to be crazy. You already know my uniform for hot/casual days: high waisted shorts and crop tops. This time I wanted to pair a mint short with a contrasting purple bag and a gorgeous crochet top. To finish the look, I added nude booties and dainty gold accessories. Beside the hot weather, it is really humid too- so any hairstyle lasts around 2 minutes. Reason why I ended up doing a milkmaid braid- I haven't done a milkmaid braid in years (even though, I even did a tutorial on youtube in 2011). This is it for today... I have to pack my bags. Destination: you'll know soon (clue: somewhere in Europe!!). I'll find a way to post from there! XOXO

No tienen idea el calor que está haciendo en haciendo en Miami... y apenas estamos en Junio (ni me quiero imaginar como va a ser este Julio/Agosto). Y ya conocen mi uniforme en día casuales y calurosos: shorts a la cintura y camisas cortitas. En esta ocasión quise usar este color menta con una camisa de crochet y una cartera morada que contrastara. Finalicé el look con unos botines color nude y accesorios delicados. El otro problema es la humedad- cualquier peinado que me hago no dura ni dos minutos. Por esto, recurrí a un tipo de trenzas que tenía al menos dos años sin hacerme (y eso que hice un tutorial en Youtube de como hacerla). Eso es todo, las dejo porque tengo que hacer maleta- probablemente cuando lean esto ya estaré volando. (Destino:...les doy una pista. Un país de Europa al que nunca he ido!). Un abrazo grandísimo!

I wasn't sure about the overall trend at first- it's impossible not to think about what we used to wear as little kids in the 90s. But I don't know, it was fun to try it and to join the crazy amount of fashion bloggers using them. This time I wanted to pair it with a simple white crop top and a couple of pieces to make it more "grunge". I wore this to be with my family since they are visiting because my graduation. La tendencia de las bragas fue una de las que me costó "acostumbrarme"- creo que al principio es imposible no asociarla con la vestimenta que usábamos en los 90s. I feel like over the years, I'm becoming more and more sensitive (read: cry-baby). I cried at least three times during the day...and I know writing this post is not going to be an exception. I don't why what was different about this graduation, I don't know if it's my fear of what's going to happen now...but I really don't understand all these feelings. What I do know is how grateful I am with all of you, because you helped me find my passion and you have seen me grow along the way. I'm so thankful with my parents and friends for the words of encouragement and the unconditional love and support. I don't know what's coming my way now, but all I know is that I'm not going to stop fighting to achieve my dreams. A amazing chapter might be closing but I can't wait to see what's next. Thanks again! <3

Siento que con los años me he puesto más sentimental, léase llorona; ayer cada vez que me felicitaban con lindas palabras, simplemente se me ponía el corazón chiquito y boté más de una lágrimita (se que este artículo no va a ser la excepción) . No se que tuvo esta graduación de especial, no se si es el miedo al "que va a pasar ahora"pero no entiendo esta cantidad de sentimientos. Lo que si se es lo eternamente agradecida que me siento con tod@s ustedes por ayudarme a encontrar mi pasión; lo agradecida que me siento con mi familia y con mis amigos por todo el apoyo y cariño en el camino. No se que me espera ahora pero se que no me voy a rendir nunca para lograr mis sueños. Se que se cierra una etapa de mi vida, pero no puedo esperar a ver que trae este nuevo capítulo y me encantaría que me sigan acompañando por aquí. Gracias otra vez! <3 <3

This jacket was one of those pieces in my wishlist for a while...until I finally found it at a local Forever 21. I was truly impressed by its quality- a little bit more expensive than the regular F21 item but it was worth it. It was warm enough to use even in NYC during the Winter and then I wore it a lot during my two months in NYC. Here are four ways I've worn it.... which one is your favorite?

Esta chaqueta fue de esas piezas que estuve buscando por mucho tiempo...hasta que por fin la encontré en Forever 21 y su calidad me impresionó mucho. I wore this a couple of weeks ago to go to an event at Blush Boutique to celebrate Flair Miami's blog-anniversary (check out pics of the event here). Because of Gaby's work , we weren't able to take outfit pics until last Friday. However, it was a complete fail because of a storm that was passing by. Thankfully, we only got rain...well, a lot of rain. It would rain for 5 minutes and then the sun was shining the other 5...so we tried taking these pics in between the rain (which kind of ruined my braid...but that's okay!) ...and well, a bus didn't care about running by a puddle next to me and getting me wet either (that's the laughing pic below). Hope you like the pics though! XOXO

Esto lo utilicé hace unas semanas para ir a un evento en la tienda Blush para celebrar el blog-aniversario de las chicas de Flair Miami (mira las fotos del evento aca). Pero no había podido tomar fotos del outfit ya que tanto Gabo como yo, hemos estado a millón. El día que me visto para tomar fotos de varios looks acumulados, llega la tormenta. De verdad era rarísimo porque llovía 5 minutos y salía el sol otros 5. Pudimos tomar estas fotos rapidito- aunque nos llovió en el camino (lo cual arruinó mi intento de peinado en esta humedad) y un autobús no le importo pasar por un charco al lado mio (por eso estoy riendo al maximo en una de las fotos abajo). Last Thursday, even though there was a crazy storm in Miami, I attended a secret event from L'Oreal Paris in Miami Beach. I got there a little late because of the rain but it was amazing getting to see the amazing Miami bloggers again. Also, I spoke with two amazing experts: Marcos Carrasquillo & Claudia Betancurt (celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist respectively). The gorgeous Claudia shared a lot of beauty tips with me and let me know about the new makeup products. She encouraged me to try the new L'Oreal Paris Visible Lift CC cream; which is the next generation of multi-task products (it reduces dark spots, evens out skin tone, brightens and firms the skin while offering SPF20). We also talked about the new colored eye pencils "L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche".They come in fun colors like blue and purple, which is a cool way to spice up the usual black liner. Then I headed out to talk with Marcos- he complimented my ombré hair and I reminded him I used the L'Oreal Paris Feria Wild Ombre kit. We also talked about doing a video on how to retouch your ombré- even though it's an easy-to-maintain hair color ...you do need to retouch it eventually if you want to keep it (and I do...maybe even a little lighter for the summer). I'm going to try the rest of the products, and I can't wait to share my favorites. XOXO

El jueves pasado, apesar de la tormenta en Miami, fui a un evento secreto de L'Oreal Paris en Miami Beach. Llegamos un poco tarde pero fue genial poder ver a las bloggeras de Miami que tenía tiempo sin ver debido al tiempo que estuve en Nueva York. Estuve hablando con dos grandes expertos: Marcos Carrasquillo y Claudia Bentancurt (ambos estilista/maquillista de celebridades respectivamente). Claudia, quien es un amor, me estuvo contando de los nuevos productos de maquillaje. Me animó mucho a probar la nueva L'Oreal Paris Visible Lift CC cream; la cual es la siguiente generación de productos multiusos (reduce la apariencia de manchas oscuras, empareja y corrige el tono de piel, ilumina el cutis, reafirma la piel, y ofrece protección solar SPF20). También estuvimos hablando de los nuevos lapices "L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche"; son unos delineadores en colores super cremosos que puedes utilizar como sombras o como el típico lapiz negro (pero claro con un giro moderno y juvenil). Luego estuve hablando con Marcos sobre retocarme las mechas californianas que me hice hace unos meses con el kit L'Oreal Paris Feria Wild Ombre ya que es una tendencia lindísima para el verano. Me dió varios tips y me encantaría hacer un video sobre como retocarlo- ya que, aunque es fácil de mantener, todas nos preguntamos como aclararlo más o subirlo cuando nos ha crecido el cabello. Remember I told you I did a fun video with Seventeen? Just a quick reminder of the concept: wearing the same three ieces in three different outfits- here's first look I posted last week...I'll share the last one soon. The three pieces I'm repeating in this look are: the adventure tee, the jeweled necklaced, and the gray bag. This look is almost identical to the one I wore to the Brooklyn Bridge...but Hey there's so much you can do with a small bag for two months. I really like that just by changing the white jeans to boyfriend jeans, the look feels like a new one! Which one do you like better...with the white jeans or the boyfriend jeans? XOXO

¿Se acuerdan que les comenté de un video que hice con Seventeen? Les recuerdo el concepto por si acaso; se trataba de usar 3 piezas en 3 outfits- el primer look lo pueden ver por acá y pronto comparto el último look. Las tres piezas fueron la camisa de "adventure with me", un collar llamativo, y mi versátil cartera de Rebecca Minkoff. Este look es casi idéntico al que utilicé en el puente de Brooklyn - pero como les dije, la idea de viajar con una maleta chiquita por mucho tiempo es aprovechar cada pieza al maximo. Me gusta mucho que con solo cambiar los jeans blancos por los "boyfriend jeans se ve como un look "nuevo"...parecido pero nuevo. ¿Cómo les gusta más esta combinación de camiseta con chaleco...con los jeans blancos o boyfriend? I wore this last Saturday to run some important errands before a photoshoot I planned. On Instagram I shared a couple of sneek peaks but if you haven't seen them...it was inspired by the 50s and all the looks had some type of polka dots in them. Beside the clothing, we used a couple of props - a big red chair, a glass coca-cola bottle, a floatie, etc. So this is what I wore to get all of this.... the heel of the bootie is comfy enough and I just felt a little rock-and-roll. Hope you are enjoying your weekend...it has been raining non-stop in Miami but I'll try to keep you guys updated with my looks! XOXO

Esto lo utilicé el fin de semana pasado para hacer mil diligencias antes de una sesión de fotos que hicimos. En instagram puse unos adelantos pero era inspirada en los años 50s y todo con estampado de lunares/pepas. Aparte de la ropa, también usamos una silla, una coca cola de vidrio, un flotador de piscina, etc...que estuvimos buscando y justamente este es un outfit comodísimo para un día de diligencias casuales. A lot of you have been asking about Chiki and how was he been since I was in NYC- so he ended up having a small cameo on the blog (see below) <3 <3 so cute <3 <3. Las week I ended up opening a second instagram for non-fashion related pictures. I feel like so people just follow me for the outfits and the fashion...while other want to get a sneak peek into my personal life. Muchas me preguntaron que con quien se había quedado Chiki mientras estaba en NYC, así que quise que tuvieses una pequeña aparición abajo <3 tan bello <3 . La semana pasada quise separar mi instagram de moda - @Nanysklozet- de mi personal @danidaniramirez. Ya quiero que uno sea dedicado a la moda/belleza y en el otro puedan ver a mi perrito, mi novio, mi día a día más personal. You already know my fashion philosophy of not buying something unless I can wear it at least three times. However, these pants were definitely an impulse buy...I never thought I could do a remix with them because the print is a little restricting. As you can see, I was WRONG; it's not about how versatile is the piece...it's all about your creativity with it.

Ya saben que antes de comprar algo me pregunto a mi misma si lo puedo usar al menos de 3 maneras distintas...pero este pantalón lo compré en H&M sin pensarlo dos veces. No creí que iba a llegar a hacer un remix con el porque el estampado es extremadamente llamativo- pero me equivoqué; todo esta en NUESTRA creatividad, no en la pieza.

Years ago, I expressed my "hate" towards jeans- because I feel like people wear jeans just to avoid thinking "what to wear"...they just grab the first shirt they see. So I stopped wearing them to challenge myself to try new combinations and to wear more skirts/shorts/dresses (hello, this was in 2009!). Lately I've been feeling the need to challenge me the other way around: how to make classic blue jeans fashionable? And what I like about this look is its simplicity...simple colors, simple lines, simple pieces. I wore this to go have dinner at a place in Midtown called "Lemoni Café"- for all my Miami guys/girls, I completely recommend it! Have an amazing day!! Hace años les comenté lo mucho que evitaba los jeans- ya que siento que la gente por flojera, utiliza jeans y agarra la primera camisa que ve. Si quieres retarte en el mundo de la moda, olvida tus jeans.. esto te pone creativa en cuanto al combinar diferentes piezas e intentar nuevos estilos. Pero últimamente me he retado de una forma distinta...¿cómo hacer que los blue jeans se vean a la moda? Este look, al contrario, es extremadamente sencillo...pero eso creo que es lo que me gusta: su simplicidad. Esto lo utilicé el fin de semana pasado para ir a comer a un sitio que se llama "Lemoni Cafe"- se los recomiendo a todas las Miameras...es riquísimo. Un abrazo inmensisimo! Last weekend was "Memorial Day Week", which means... long weekend!! Reason why on Sunday we ended up going to the pool with a couple of friends. Before heading out to the pool, Gabo and I went on a little bike ride around (Sadly, his bike got stolen a couple of days after...so upsetting and frustrating). We saw this train tracks, right by the road (no need to worry, they don't use them anymore). It was so hot out that I ended up wearing this two-piece number that looks like a retro bathing suit. I paired it with a turbans and big round sunglasses. Hope your week is starting amazingly! XOXO

El fin de semana pasado fue "Memorial Day Weekend" en Estados Unidos...eso significa: fin de semana largo!! Razón por la cual el domingo vinieron un grupo de amigos a mi casa y estuvimos un rato en la piscina. Antes de ir a la piscina, Gabo y yo nos fuimos a pasear en bicicleta por Downtown. Le pasamos por el lado a esta vía de tren...no se preocupen que por ahí no pasan trenes- justo termina ahí y es una vía de tren de hace décadas. Ya que estaba haciendo tanto calor, quise usar este conjunto de dos piezas encima de mi traje de baño junto a una cinta en la cabeza y unos lentes redondos grandes. Espero que su semana empiece genial! Un abrazo grandotote!!!

While I was in NYC; my dear friend and Furor Moda owner, Tatiana stayed with me for a week. During that time, I had to make a video for Seventeen.com using the same three pieces in three completely different outfits. So I was like...let's use as much Furor as possible in the video!! (hello, Forever 21 doesn't need promotion.. and I like supporting emerging brands). I ended up choosing the adventure with me tee, a necklace, and my Rebecca Minkoff bag as my three items. I promise I'll share the video here too, I just want to edit it a little bit. This outfit is perfect for walking around a city during the summer time...and it works for so many occasions . Creo que les conté que mientras estaba en Nueva York; Tati, gran amiga y dueña de Furor Moda, estuvo quedándose conmigo. Justo tuve que hacer un video para Seventeen.com usando 3 piezas en 3 outfits distintos. Así que le dije...metamos mucho Furor en el video!! Last Saturday was IKEA day- yes a full day because the drive to IKEA from Miami is a little long...and that store is so much fun. Since January, I have been slowly changing the decor of my apartment - adding little touches like pillows, candles, photo frames, and books. However, moving from a big a apartment to a small apartment was a challenge in terms of storage. Reason why this trip was mostly to get a couple of things that will help me storing/organizing everything. I wanted to wear something cute but still comfortable for the car-ride and the long hours walking in that HUGE store. Have an amazing Friday- I can't believe how fast this week went by! XOXO

El sábado pasado fuimos a IKEA- que queda como a 40 minutos de Miami. Desde enero, he estado cambiado un poquito mi apartamento e intentando hacerlo sentir 100% yo (Si me siguen por instagram, probablemente han visto fotitos). Mudarme de un apartamento grande, a uno de uno solo fue un reto. Razón por la cual he estado buscando formas de tener más espacio- y justamente fui a buscar unos muebles que me ayudaran a organizar mi ropero. I've been looking for a pair of striped pants for a while- originally, I wanted them baggy (like these). However, I have a love/hate relationship with palazzo pants because they are always so long on me so I have to hem them. So I ended up choosing these skinny ones (by the way, the fabric is very strechy. They were tight on me when I put them on and hours later felt a little loose). I wore them with a denim shirt and some gorgeous red heels. I wore this to go to Trendy Inc, which is a recognized styling studio in Miami. Llevaba muchísimo tiempo buscando unos pantalones de rayas- originalmente los quería anchos (como estos) pero yo tengo un amor/odio por los pantalones anchos porque los tengo que mandar a cortar (por mi pequeñez). Así que terminé escogiendo estos skinny (que por cierto, estiran bastante. Cuando me los puse me quedaban ajustados; y aquí ya me quedaban un poquito anchos horas después). Quise combinarlos con una camisa de mezclila y unos tacones rojos. Before writing this little paragraphs, I always find the links where you can find what I'm wearing. I started with the skirt and....the model is wearing the exact same way, with a long-sleeved crop top. I swear it wasn't on purpose- it might have been because the styling on the model or on mannequins at the store are the first idea we get on how to wear something (and I guess it stuck in my mind). I wore this two Saturdays ago to help Gabo at a photoshoot with the sister of one of our best friends. It was so much fun, she's amazing and their family was there..so I had a blast. Since we were on Lincoln Road, a street full of restaurants and stores, we stayed and ate Latinamerican food. Later we headed to a candy store (check out my instagram pic below!). Antes de empezar a escribir, siempre busco los links de los enlaces de las piezas. Justo ahora empiezo por la falda...y estoy usándola igual que la modelo en la página de Motel Rocks - con una camisa manga larga cortita. De verdad que no fue al propósito, aunque el estilismo de las páginas es importantísimo porque nos da la primera idea de como usar una pieza. Bueno esto lo utilicé hace dos sábados para acompañar a Gabo a una sesión de fotos para la hermana de uno de nuestros mejores amigos. And here's another remix... and all of these looks were in NYC (3 of them were during my recent stay for the internship and the last one is from NYFW in February). Since I always wore this sweater on cold days, all the looks have some type of layer underneath (blouses/shirts with a collar). Even though they all have similar elements, I feel like they are all different.

Y aquí va otro remix....por casualidades de la vida solo he utilizado este suéter en Nueva York (3 looks cuando estuve por 8 semanas allá recientemente y otro es de la Semana de la Moda en febrero). Ya que todas las veces que lo utilicé estaba haciendo frío, todos los looks tienen otra capa debajo (alguna camisa con cuello). Apesar de que todos los looks tienen mucho en común, siento que cada uno tiene su toque diferente.

And this is it! My last post from my 2 month stay in New York...well, I still have three looks part of a video I did with Furor Moda (yes, my friend Tati stayed with me in NYC and we did a fun video for Seventeen). The day I wore this I was walking around the city with my parents and I was so tired of being cold- reason why I didn't care and I ended up wearing a winter scarf in May....but whatever, it was cold (especially for a tropical-weather girl). That day I took them to the South Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and we stopped by the 911 Memorial. This is another comfy, warm, and relaxed outfit to walk around. Hope you have an amazing week! ¡¡Ahora si!! Este es mi último post de Nueva York...bueno tengo 3 looks parte de un video que hice con Furor Moda (que la linda de Tati pasó una semana conmigo en NYC e hicimos un video para Seventeen juntas). Este día estuve paseando mucho con mis papás y estaba cansada de pasar frío caminando por la ciudad- razón por la cual quise abrigarme bien (así me viera como una ridícula con una bufanda de invierno en mayo...pero igual estaba haciendo frío). Ese día los llevé al Ferry para ir a la Estatua de la Libertad y luego pasamos por el "911 Memorial". Este es otro look súper relajado, cómodo, y calientito para caminar por la ciudad. Espero que tengan una semana espectacular!! Yo estoy con los preparativos para la graduación que es a mediados de Junio.

SUMMER BEAUTY.... with L'Oreal Paris!

This is my first summer with ombré hair (here's a quick reminder of the kit I used- L'Oreal Paris ombré kit- and the tutorial on Youtube). Reason why I feel like I have to take care of my hair a little more because of the lighter ends... and well, because the sun, humidity, pool, ocean water, and sand have no mercy (and more because I live in Miami and the beach is right around the corner). Here are a couple of tips and products to take care of your hair and skin this season.

1. Hats are you best friends when you are long hours at the beach- not only they make you super chic but they also protect your hair and face from UV rays. There are a lot of styles to choose from but my recommendation is to look for beach hats and hats with a wide brim. Not a fan of hats? a fun alternative is wearing a scar (very J.lo)

2. Perform deep conditioning as often as you can. Apply it after shampooing and leave it as long as possible. Recommendation: L'Oreal Paris Moisture Rush Mask ($6.99)

3. I know many of you like to lay on a towel for hours to get a nice tan- but you have to remember how dangerous it is for your skin. In order to prevent skin cancer, I prefer using a self-tanner. For a nice natural-looking tan, I recommend: L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Pro Perfect ($10.99) - it comes as a spray so it's very easy to apply.

4. You have probably heard about morrocan oil and its amazing benefits for your hair. So this treatment is definitely a must- it not only hydrates your hair but it leaves it very shiny and healthy. L'Oreal Paris Precious Oil Treatment ($12.99)

5. You already know that I prefer to be pale that doing irreversible damage to my skin- reason why I ALWAYS use sunscreen (at least on my face and neck). However, if you are going to be extreme long hours under the sun, I recommend using a high SPF sunscreen like L'Oreal Paris Sublime Sunscreen SPF 100 or SPF50 (it comes as a lotion or as a spray)

6. No matter how many lotions we use, hydration should start from the inside... drinking water is very important during the summer (especially if you are under the sun for a long time).The recommended amount is 8 cups or 2 liters; but remember everything in excess is bad... drinking too much water can damage your liver and kidney.

7. I'm all for using as little makeup as you can on the beach/pool- but I'm the first one trying to hide acne marks and little imperfections. That's why I love"BB Creams" so much- they hydrate, they have SPF, and they even out skin with a little tint that nobody will notice.

8. More on the previous tip: since you want to use as little makeup as possible, I recommend using a face moisturizer that helps even out skin tone (from age sports or acne marks). I've been using this moisturizer and I absolutely love it- it leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and it also has SPF 30. (L'Oreal Paris Youth Code moisturizer ($24.99))

9. Let's not forget about wearing sunglasses with UV protection. The skin around our eyes is extremely sensitive and we have to protect it as much as we can...and the easiest way is with a big pair of sunglasses.

10. Finally, if you want to feel girly and beautiful...the best way is using a little mascara (but remember it has to be waterproof, we don't want to have black stains all over our face after getting out of the water). Recomendation: L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara ($9.95)

Este es mi primer verano con el cabello ombré (por si les interesa, aquí les dejo el enlace del kit de L'Oreal Paris que utilicé, y el link al tutorial en Youtube)- razón por la cual siento que debo cuidarme el cabello un poquito más del calor del sol, la humedad, la piscina, y la arena (más viviendo en Miami, donde la playa está a la vuelta de la esquina). Así que hoy les traigo unas pequeñas recomendaciones para cuidar tu piel y cabello durante esta temporada.

1. Los sombreros son tus mejores amigos en la playa; no solo se ven super chic sino también te protegen de los rayos solares. Hay muchísimos modelos para escoger pero mi recomendación es que optes por las pamelas o los de ala ancha. Otra opción para proteger tu cabello es utilizar pañuelos (muy a lo J.Lo)

2. Utiliza baños de crema- son esenciales para que nuestro cabello se recupere de los daños del cloro, sol, arena, humedad, etc. Mi recomendación: L'Oreal Paris Moisture Rush Mask ($6.99)

3. Para prevenir el cáncer de piel, yo prefiero utilizar productos autobronceadores. Se que muchas prefieren rostisarse en el sol, pero no saben el daño que nos podemos hacer a largo plazo. Para un bronceado muy bonito y natural, les recomiendo: L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Pro Perfect ($10.99) ya que viene en forma de spray y es muy fácil de utilizar.

4. Probablemente has oido del aceite de Marruecos que es excelente para el cabello- y especialmente te lo recomiendo para este verano ya que este tratamiento hidrata muchísimo el cabello y lo deja brillante. Recomendación: L'Oreal Paris Precious Oil Treatment ($12.99)

5. Ya saben que soy partidaria de ser pálida en vez de hacerle daño a nuestra piel- razón por la cual les recomiendo utilizar protector solar SIEMPRE- no solo al estar en la playa, uno debe usar protector solar todos los días (al menos en la cara y en el cuello). Para días que vas a estar muchas horas en el sol, te recomiendo L'Oreal Paris Sublime Sunscreen SPF 100 o SPF50 (lo tienen en spray y en crema...ambos son excelentes)

6. Sin importar la cantidad de cremas que usemos, la hidratación empieza desde adentro...así que a tomar MUCHA agua, especialmente si estás en el sol tanto tiempo. Lo recomendado son 2 litros u 8 vasos...pero tampoco debes tomar demasiada agua ya que puedes hacerle daño a tus riñones.

7. No es recomendable usar mucho maquillaje en la playa/piscina- pero yo soy la primera que quiere tapar una manchita o un granito. Mi recomendación es utilizar las conocidades "BB Creams" ya que hidratan, tiene protección solar, y nos hacen ver más "bonitas" sin llevar mucho maquillaje.

8. Ya que entre tanta playa y piscina, vamos a estar utilizando menos maquillaje. Yo te recomiendo buscar una crema que ayude a emparejar nuestra piel de machitas o marcas de acné. Esta la empecé a usar hace unas semanas y me encanta; te deja la piel con una textura riquísima, y lo más importante es que tiene protección solar 30.( L'Oreal Paris Youth Code moisturizer ($24.99))

9. Utiliza lentes de sol que tengan "UV protection"- la piel alrededor de nuestros ojos es mucho más delgada y sensible. Por esto debemos protegerla de los rayos solares con unos buenos lentes de sol.

10. Finalmente, te recomiendo usar una mascara o rímel aprueba de agua. Si utilizas un BB cream y una mascara, ya te vas a sentir más arregladita y "presentable" para el mundo. Recomendación: L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara ($9.95)

I know this look is very plain- there's isn't anything extremely trendy (well, I love the jacket!). It was one of my days off as a fashion blogger. My parents went to New York to visit me- and I couldn't be any happier. I haven't seen them since Christmas and it was also my dad's birthday. All we did was WALK and EAT- specially on this day. We walked like 30 blocks in Central Park and another 20 to Times Square. Then we headed to Little Italy to eat; and later, I had a reflexology massage in Chinatown (those massages HURT, I had no idea...but it was a cool experience). These Keds became my feet's best friend in New York...you have no idea how comfortable they are. Have an amazing day and enjoy the pics from Central Park!!

Este es un look super relajado- no tiene nada especial (bueno la chaqueta es hermosa- ya la vieron en este look más arregladito). Mis papás fueron a visitarme unos días en Nueva York, y no podía estar más contenta. No los veía desde Navidad y era el cumpleaños de mi papá. Paseamos muchísimo por Nueva York, especialmente este día que caminamos más de 30 cuadras en Central Park y de ahí unas 20 más hasta Times Square. De ahí seguimos hasta Little Italy para ir a comer...y ya estabamos agotados! Así que terminamos el día con un masaje en Chinatown. Estos Keds de lunares fueron mis mejores amigos en NYC, son los zapatos más cómodos que tengo. Espero que disfruten las fotos de Central park. Un abrazo inmensísimo!

Ya me siento en casa... ¡y creo que se nota! Todavía tengo un par de looks de Nueva York pero siento que el blog necesitaba un poco de color después de tantas combinaciones monótonas. Apenas llegué a Miami, quise usar este vestidito coral con una cartera turquesa y zapatos floreados. El vestido es originalmente ancho pero me gusta marcar mi cintura por mi tipo de cuero... y me encanta el detalle que tiene en la espalda. Esto lo utilicé para pasar un rato por Midtown con Gabo y hacer una que otra de las miles de diligencias que tengo que hacer para que todo vuelva a la normalidad poco a poco. ¡Espero que disfruten el viernes y fin de semana! Since I got to NYC, a couple of people told me about a place called "Taka Taka" (with a tagline of "mexican sushi, and japanese tacos). Since Gabo and I are obsessed with sushi since we started dating 6 years ago, eating there was a must. I'm not going to lie, it was a little expensive for the amount of food...but it was delicious. We ordered some rolls with mexicano touches (like avocado and a spicy/chili sauce), and some tacos with teriyaki fish. Then we headed to walk around the city..right in front of the building I was staying, there was the cutest big dog I've ever seen (it was so fluffy and huggable!!) I only have a couple of B&W outfits left...no worry my colorful Miami self is almost here. Have an amazing day! XOXO

Desde que llegué a Nueva York, varias personas me recomendaron un sitio llamado "Taka Taka" (lo mejor es la frase debajo que explica exactamente lo que es: sushi mexicano, o tacos japoneses). Y ya que Gabo y yo somos fanáticos del sushi, ese fue nuestro destino uno de los días que el estuvo visitándome. No les voy a mentir, el sitio es algo caro para la cantidad que trae...pero es riquísimos. Decidimos pedir un roll de sushi mexicano y los tacos con pescado teriyaki. Después estuvimos paseando... y en frente del edificio donde me estuve quedando estaba el perrito grande más hermosos y abrazable que he visto (fotito de mi instagram debajo). Ya quedan poquiticos outfits de Nueva York... así que pronto salioms de la vida B&W y de vuelta al color. Abrazos inmensos!!
