I made this video as part of the Seventeen Style Council - and I really wanted to share it here too. The challenge/assignment was to make a full summer outfit for less than $50- and I think I did it for $45 (minus the sandals, but you can find flip flops for $5!!). This is definitely my uniform during the extreme summer heat. Some of you really want me doing more videos... so let me know what you think. I had a lot of fun making this one and I would love to do more. Also, I accept constructive criticism (but remember, English is my second language and I'm ALWAYS going to have a strong accent). Este fue un video que hice como parte del Seventeen Style Council y quise traducirlo y compartirlo con ustedes. El reto era hacer un outfit de verano que costase menos de $50- y creo que lo logré...menos los zapatos (aunque me sobraron 5 dólares que servirían para encontrar unas sandalias sencillas). Este es como mi uniforme en los días calurosos y espero que les guste el video. April might be known for its "April showers"- but the weather in New York during April was actually gorgeous...very sunny and relatively warm. However, this day was the exception...so why not take pictures with a cute red umbrella. The outfit is pretty simple...with pieces you have seen over and over since I arrived in NYC... and yes, it's black and white but I love how it looks with the red umbrella and the red lipstick. I hope you enjoy the pics and have an amazing day!! XOXO

Abril es conocido como el mes de lluvia en lugares como Nueva York- pero tuve la suerte de disfrutar días extremadamente hermosos y soleados...pero este día fue una de las excepciones. Amaneció lloviendo y no paro de llover hasta la noche. Razón por la cual pensé en hacer un post de "lluvia" con mi paraguas rojo. El outfit es bastante sencillo: unos jeans blancos (que no fueron la mejor idea en un día de lluvia), una chaqueta+camisa negra, y zapatos de los mismos colores. Espero que les gusten las fotitos...es un post algo diferente con piezas extremadamente repetidas maja. Feliz día!!

And here's my last pre-ombré hair...and I wanted to wear it in New York City but the semi-cold weather didn't let me. I know I wore a lot of B&W in NYC so here's a little break from all those neutral outfits. I absolutely love wearing colors and prints and I know many of you do too :). Ya este es el último look que tenía guardado pre-ombré... y también lo quería usar en Nueva York pero el clima no me dejó. Ultimamente he estado utilizando mucho blanco y negro- así que espero que todas las que aman el color y los estampados estén contentas de ver un look así... yo lo estoy :) (me hacen falta mis combinaciones coloridades). Generally, I don't post on Saturdays but I have so many looks to publish and I don't want to keep posting looks a month old... so let's do this! I have been wearing this Furor shirt non-stop, it really has been with me for several adventures...but how not to? it is so versatile. When I was packing for NYC, I really wanted to take extremely versatile pieces that I could make infinite combinations (hence the majority of looks are black and white... it's harder to pack with a lot of colors). That day, Gabo and I had brunch at a place called Red Rooster in Harlem...it was delicious (if you stop by...be very hungry because the portions are huge). Hope you are enjoying your weekend!! XOXO

Generalmente los sábados he estado publicando looks pero ya que no quiero tener looks de Nueva York hasta el mes que viene, vamos a adelantar un poquito con más looks a la semana. Esta camisa de Furor me ha estado acompañando en muchísimas aventuras.... y es que ¿cómo no? Es tan versátil que la quiero usar con todo. A Nueva York me llevé muchas piezas que pudiese combinar muchísimo entre si (razón por la cual casi todos los looks han sido blanco/negro... hubiese querido llevarme mis piezas coloridas, pero son más difíciles de combinar). Ese día fuimos a brunch por Harlem... comimos riquísimo (si les interesa el sitio se llama "Red Rooster... y prepárense que las cantidades son inmensas). And here's a post more about NYC than my outfit , which is very simple as you can see. While Gabo was in the Big Apple, we had to stop at Times Square. Even though it's always full of tourist, I absolutely love the vibe of that place: the lights, the multitude, the stores, etc. After that, we headed to a bar with a couple of friends that went to school with Gabo in Puerto Rico. Hoy les traigo un post más sobre Nueva York que sobre mi outfit. Uno de los días de los que Gabo estuvo en NYC, fuimos a Times Square- una de las paradas obligatorias en la gran manzana.Aunque es un lugar extremadamente turístico, me encantan las luces, las tiendas, la multitud, etc. Fuimos a un bar con unos amigos que estudiaron con Gabo en Puerto Rico después... razón por la cual quise usar un vestidito y tacones. This look is from another adventure with Gabo around NYC- we headed to the South Ferry to go to "Staten Island" (a great way to see the Statue of Liberty for free...is it me or it keeps getting smaller every time? I feel like in movies it looks so huge). That day we walked so much around the city- we also walked around Wall Street and the WTC memorial. Reason why I chose an extremely comfy outfit with black jeans, a denim jacket, a comfy tee, and sneakers. I'm back in Miami, so excited to be back, but I still have a lot of pics from NYC....I hope that isn't confusing! I haven't slept in 36 hrs so this is quick!! Have an amazing day! XOXO

Esta fue otra de nuestras pequeñas aventuras en NYC- nos fuimos en un ferry gratis hasta "Staten Island" y lo bonito es que pasa por la Estatua de la Libertad (que por cierto, cada vez que la veo siento que está más y más chiquita.... en las películas siempre la ponen como de 100 pisos). Ese día estuvimos paseando extremadamente mucho por la ciudad, así que escogí un look 100% cómodo con jeans negros, una camisa y chaqueta de jean. Paseamos por Wall Street y vimos el memorial del 11 de Septiembre. Ya estoy en Miami (llegué hoy!!! ), pero todavía tengo fotos de Nueva York por varias semanas...espero que no les molesté la confusión de donde estoy. Las dejo porque he dormido 4 horas en las últimas 36 horas y estoy agotada. Abrazos grandototes!

As you can see, I definitely link this shorts with beach/pool. I've worn them in three similar ways...all with sleeveless blouses (and they all have items in common- the hat, or the cross necklace, or the sandals). For me, these shorts are my go-to bottoms for beach days.

This is another of the videos from the video "We blog, We live, We Dance"- I really wanted to wear this outfit in NYC during May...but I had no idea this May was going to be so cold (at least today was just 50 degrees...not enough to be bare legged). But I have exciting news... I'm packing to go back to Miami...New York was a great experience but I'm so ready to go back to my regular Miami life. One of the things Gabo and I wanted to do together in NYC was visiting the Brooklyn Bridge- I have never been there so it was very cool. We ended up going on a gorgeous day- it wasn't cold at all. As usual, we took the wrong train and ended up walking way too much. We ended up in Chinatown and Little Italy, where we ate some huge pizzas (because the guy told us they were individual size). Finally, we found the bridge and walk it over to Brooklyn and stopped at a park close by. After that we were like "no... we have to take the train back" (don't worry, I had flats in a little bag). I have been wearing this adventure shirt non-stop.. I've been taking them to every adventure haha. I paired it with white jeans and a faux-leather black vest. I hope you have an amazing week!! XOXO

Cuando Gabo vino a visitarme, una de las cosas que queríamos hacer era ir al puente de Brooklyn. Escogimos un día espectacular para ir- al estar en el sol no necesitaba ningún suéter. Nos bajamos en la parada del emetro que no era....pero no importa nos pusimos a pasear. Terminamos comiendo pizza en Little Italy y seguimos por Chinatown. Luego cruzamos el punte de Brooklyn, después estuvimos en un parque al lado del puente y ...no pudimos regresarnos caminando, agarramos el metro jaja (y no se preocupen que tenía flats en un bolsito, no caminé en tacones todo el tiempo). Para esto quise usar la camisa que representa la aventura que hicimos ese día- la combiné con jeans blancos y un chaleco de cuero sintético negro. Espero que tengan una semana muy linda... abrazos inmensos!!

MET GALA 2013 Beauty Trends... with L'Oreal Paris.

This #BeautySunday is all about the beauty trends seen at the Met Gala 2013- this year celebrities were definitely inspired by the PUNK FASHION. We saw a lot of dark lips, mohawks, crazy smoky eyes, and a couple of transformations.

1) Ombré Hair: whoever said that the ombré trend was going away was completely wrong...it is here to stay for a while (I counted at least 6 celebrities with ombré hair... some more dramatic than others). The best part is that you can do it at home with the L'Oreal Paris Feria Wild Ombre kit, and watch my tutorial for extra tips.

2) Strong eyebrows and dark lips: I absolutely love this look, it's edgy but still wearable for the night time. Just keep it simple: stay away from smoky eyes or avoid using a lot of blush...let your brows and lips be the center of attention. (Recommended: L'Oreal Paris lipsticks and brow pencil)

3) Pink tips: if you dare, try this look for summer...it looks like so much fun. I saw at least 5 celebrities with some type of fun color in their hair (from pink to blues). I found this product from L'Oreal Paris that works on even the darkest hair without having to bleach it..which is always a plus.

4) Strong side swept: this is the easiest- just divide your hair to your side and make the smaller side look like you shaved your head (it's very easy with the help of a couple of hair styling products or a braid). I recommend this hairspray because of how it leaves your hair manageable , and the "L'Oreal Paris Smooth Intense Xtreme Straight" to make it as straight as possible and avoid frizz.

El #BeautySunday de hoy se lo quiero dedicar a las tendencias de belleza que vi en los MET GALA - este año las celebridades de Hollywood parecen haberse inspirado en la moda punk vimos muchos labiales oscuros, peinados roqueros con mohawk, y ojos ahumados por doquier.

1) Mechas californianas: quien dijo que las mechas californianas estaban desapareciendo, se equivocó. Aparentemente están aquí para quedarse por un buen tiempo- al menos 6 celebridades en la alfombra roja tenían su cabello ombré....algunos más dramáticos que otros. (Pueden lograr el look en casa con el kit de L'Oreal Paris Feria Wild Ombre- también pueden ver mi tutorial acá)

2) Cejas fuertes y labios oscuros: este look me encanta- es dramático y se ve espectacular en eventos para la noche. Mi recomendación es que mantengas los ojos y el rubor lo más sencillo posible- de manera que las cejas y tus labios sean los protagonistas. (Productos: labiales de L'Oreal y el lapiz para cejas)

3) Un color divertido en las puntas: si este verano quieres intentar algo totalmente diferente y divertido...esta es una opción. Conté al menos 5 celebridades con algunos tonos como rosado o azul en el cabello. Encontré este producto en L'Oreal Paris para darte unos rayitos de colores sin tener que decoloarte el cabello y aparentemente funciona hasta en los cabellos muy oscuros.

4) División de lado: la idea de este look es que se vea como si te hubieses rapado la mitad de la cabeza. Es extremadamente sencillo ya que solo tienes que dividir tu cabello de lado y usar algunos productos como laca o gel para parezca que te rapaste el lado( También puedes usar como la modelo Cara y trenzarlo) Te recomiendo usar una laca y algún producto, como el L'Oreal Xtreme Straight, para que tu cabello se vea extra liso.

While Spring has taken a while to get to NYC, Miami already felt like summer in mid-April (yeah, sticky and humid...that type of Miami summer). Originally, I wanted to wear this yellow top+pink bag with white jeans but I had to go back home and change. So I ended up wearing my summer uniform; which consist of of shorts, hat, and comfy shoes. When I was little I hated espadrilles so much- if my 8 year old self would like at me now....maybe they just needed to be in a fun color like these. That day we went out to eat at a small/cozy restaurant in Midtown- I totally forgot the name but I know we'll be back and I'll let you now :). I'm so excited I'll be back in Miami in just 6 days. Mientras que en Nueva York la primavera no termina de llegar, en Miami como que llegó muy rápido el verano. Cuando estuve allá a mediados de abril hacía un calor pegajoso similar a los de agosto. Originalmente quería usar esta camisa con unos jeans blancos y unos tacones...pero me devolví a mi uniforme veraniego: unos shorts, sombrero, y zapatos cómodos. Cuando era chiquita decía que nunca iba a usar alpargatas....tal vez el empujoncito que necesitaba era que las alpargatas fuesen coloridas- aparte que son comodísimas. Este día fuimos a comer en Midtown a un sitio pequeñito que encontró Gabo durante mi estadía en Nueva York...es todo casero y la comida es exquisita (se me olvidó como se llama pero se que volveremos a ir y les contaré). ¡¡Espero que pasen un feliz viernes y un feliz fin de semana!! Yo estaré contando los días para regresar a Miami...ya son 6 días!!

I feel like during the past couple of weeks, overalls exploded all over the internet....and well, here I am... joining the trend with a faux-leather skirt overall ( I have to admit, I have a classic jean overall). Originally, I wanted to wear the overalls with a cropped sweater...but after hours looking, I couldn't find what I had in mind. In Miami, where's so hot already, I want to wear it with a crop top. This was my second choice; a classic button down with a fun twist (the print are actually little penguins). Can you believe I only brought three pairs of heels to NYC? Siento que en las últimas semanas ha habido una explosión de bragas en todos lados- y bueno...me uno a la tendencia con uno de cuero sintético y tipo faldita (aunque les admito que tengo ganas de uno clásico; de jean). Originalmente lo quería usar con un suéter cortito...pero no tuve suerte- voy a terminar comprando un suéter regular y cortarlo. Así que mi segunda opción era una blusa clásica- esta tiene un toque diferente, el estampado de pinguinitos. También lo quiero utilizar en Miami, que hace más calor, con un top cortito pero con mangas (o cuello tortuga). Como les dije, he estado usando demasiado blanco&negro- es algo de esta ciudad. ¿Pueden creer que solo traje dos pares de tacones? Estos y las botitas negras con la punta dorada...me hubiese encantado usar unos zapatos más roqueritos. Un abrazo inmenso a tod@s! Y no quería dejar de decirles lo agradecida que estoy por su apoyo!!

A lot people would get scared to get such a bright skirt... I know I did. But I feel like it has been even more versatile than I imagined. I have paired it with black in all looks, but all of them are very different. I wore the first look during New York Fashion Week in February...and it was COLD that day. I wore a top with a neon collar so it would look like I was wearing a dress with a sweater on top. On the second look, I took a risk by wearing it with more neon (but pink) and a polka dot print blouse. The last look is simple but very sophisticated.

Muchas se asustarían al ver una falda tan llamativa....pero siento que le he sacado provecho a pesar de que la he combinado mayormente con negro. El primer look fue durante la semana de la moda en NYC- quise usar una camisa del mismo color de la falda debajo del suéter para que pareciera que estaba usando un vestido neón (y bueno estaba haciendo mucho frío, así que no podían faltar las botas, las medias pantys, y la chaqueta). En el segundo look me arriesgué a combinarla con otros toques de neón pero rosado en el cinturón y los zapatos. Y en el último, mantuve el look lo más clásico possible con un top de encaje.

When Gabo was visiting me in NYC, we visited a lot of tourist place. We walked to the "High Line"park- which is relatively new...it used to be train tracks from the late 1800s. We had so much fun together...even though it was colder than we expected (gabo ended up borrowing my scarf because you know how guys are- he was to macho men for dressing in layers haha). I don't know why I thought it was going to be a lot warmer in May- apparently, this has been a long "winter". Have a nice day! XOXO

Mientras Gabo estuvo visitándome en NYC, nos pusimos a hacer las cosas típicas de turistas. Uno de los días fuimos al parque "High Line"- un parque relativamente nuevo en lo que solía ser los rieles de un tren de hace más de 100 años. Ese día estaba haciendo bastante frío...pensé que para estas fechas Nueva York ya iba a estar más calientito. Menos mal que me llevé esta bufanda, se la terminé prestando a Gabo que se estaba congelando (porque ustedes saben como son los hombres que se hacen los machos y no se abrigan lo suficiente). During the long weekend I spent in Miami, I wore this long-sleeved lace top twice- I thought it was so gorgeous that I had to wear it again (check out the first post here). This time I wore it untucked with gold shorts underneath, the coolest spike shoes with a gold detail, and a small clutch that makes you only take what you really need. While most of the bloggers photoshop themselves like crazy, I don't edit mine at all (even though today I should have edited the huge bruise I have in my leg, it reminds me of my clumsiness haha a huge bag fell on me while packing clothes for a photoshoot on my internship). Oh, and the braid is mostly because I forgot my curling iron during my Miami trip...but it's fun to change my hairstyle once in a while. Have an amazing week!!

El fin largo que estuve en Miami utilicé esta camisa de dos formas- me pareció tan hermosa que quise usarla dos veces antes de regresar a Nueva York (si no viste como la usé, pasa por ACA). En esta ocasión quise utilizarla por fuera con unos shorts dorados debajo... y unos zapatos super cool con pullitas, de las que no cortan, en el tacón. Finalmente agregué un clutch negró que te obliga a utilizar solo lo necesario. A diferencia de la mayoría de las bloggers, no edito las fotos para nada-y aunque tal vez debería "borrarme" el morado que tengo en la pierna...pero me recuerda a mi torpeza en la pasantía jaja (me cayó una maleta llena de ropa encima mientras la armabamos para una sesión de fotos). Just by looking at these pictures you can tell how exhausted I was. I wore this right after my finals in school to go to film a segment for CNN in Spanish with L'Oreal and celebrity stylist, Marcos Carrasquillo. However, we didn't take the outfit pictures until the next day...when I was even more tired. I didn't go to sleep until very late because I was packing for NYC; then, I woke up at 4am to go model two more segments at Univision in a morning show. I got back home around 9am (ps, I'm not a morning person- I'm a night owl and I don't function until 11am) to help Gabo in a photoshoot for an accessory brand. I actually wore a similar version to work this week- minus the heels and the cap. I hope you have an amazing weekend! I'm so excited because my parents are coming tomorrow , I haven't seen them since Christmas!! XOXO

Veo estas fotos y siento que se nota lo cansada que estaba. Esto fue lo que usé justo después de mis exámenes finales para ir a filmar un segmento de TV para CNNE junto a L'Oreal y el estilista Marcos Carrasquillo. Pero estas fotos no las tomé hasta el día siguiente, donde estaba aún más cansada porque después de estar en el salón de Marcos, estuve haciendo maleta hasta tarde. Luego me tuve que despertar a las 4 am para ir a dos segmentos más con Marcos en Univisón, y llegué a ayudar a Gabo en una sesión de fotos de accesorios y a terminar de hacer maleta. También usé una versión casi idéntica en Nueva York esta semana- solo que flats en vez de tacones porque en esta ciudad no se puede estar en tacones. Espero que tengan un feliz fin de semana!! Yo estoy super emocionada porque mis papás vienen a visitarme hoy viernes.... tengo desde Navidad que no los veo!! Un abrazo inmenso!

As you already know, I'm still in NYC doing my intership before I graduate in June....and well, I didn't bring a lot of clothes with me. The past couple of weeks, I have being a walking WednesdayRemix- rewearing things over and over. Reason why you already saw this sweater my first week in NYC, and you'll definitely see it again before I go back to Miami. I have been working like never in my life...so I was so excited when Gabo told me he was visiting me. I had so much fun with him...we walked so much around the city. The place I'm staying at is very close to Central Park, just three blocks away- so stopping by Central Park was a must. I absolutely love how the scenery has changed over the past month...I love how the trees are now full of flowers and leaves (you have to remember I was born and raised ...and now live in a place where we don't have seasons. So getting to experience it for the first time is exciting haha). I hope you like the pictures!! XOXO

Como saben, estoy en Nueva York haciendo una pasantía... y bueno, viajé con la menor cantidad de ropa posible. Siento que las ultimas semanas, mi vestimenta ha sido un WednesdayRemix andante- he repetido las mismas piezas infinitas veces. Este suéter lo vieron en mi primer artículo desde NYC, y definitivamente lo van a ver más..así que prepárense. He estado trabajando como nunca en mi vida y de verdad que llego todas las noches agotada. Razón por la cual fue genial que Gabo viniese a visitarme el fin de semana pasado; paseamos como nunca. Central Park queda a tres cuadras de donde me estoy quedando, así que no podía faltar un día paseando por el parque. Cuando llegué a Nueva York, fui al parque y todos los árboles estaban peladitos...me encanta haber vivido la primavera completa acá. No solo el clima está cada día mejor, sino que el paisaje ha cambiado tanto...con todos los árboles llenos de flores ((recuerden que nací en Venezuela y vivo en Miami...en ninguno de estos lugares hay estaciones...por eso mi emoción jaja). ¡Espero que les gusten las fotitos!!! ¡Abrazos!

I have to admit it took me a little to start wearing this jacket- I got it in the middle of November, when I was feeling more fall-ish by wearing darker colors. However, as soon as the Spring hit...it became one of my favorite pieces. As you can see, I've worn it with boyfriend jeans, trousers, pink jeggings...and for completely different occasions .

ps: I got this jacket at SheInside- and it's faux leather. If you are looking for a lighter fabric one, I recommend this one from Furor Moda.

Tengo que admitir que cuando me llegó esta chaqueta en noviembre, no estaba segura con que usarla (creo que fue porque estaba empezando el "otoño" y quería usar piezas más oscuras). Al llegar la primavera, se convirtió en una de mis piezas favoritas. Como pueden ver; la he usado con jeans rotos, faldas, pantalones, jeggings... y para ocasiones totalmente distintas.

I feel like I went a little overboard with planning outfits so I would always have content while being in NYC- we took this pictures while I was packing and I actually wore it during my second week of internship with black flats. My idea was having outfits with several layers so I could adapt them depending on the weather (when I wore it was still cold; but nowadays, I would wear it without the beanie and without the big black coat). I almost re-wore it to take pictures with it in NYC because there's something I don't love about the photos...but whatever- what's done is done. When I wore this look I felt like a fish out of the water...I feel like most of the people in NYC wouldn't wear colors this bright until the actual summer. But it was fun to step away from the typical NYC black/white. Have an amazing day! XOXO

Creo que exageré planeando outfits para no quedarme sin contenido en Nueva York- este lo hice todavía estando en Miami mientras hacia las maletas y lo utilicé la segunda semana durante la pasantía con flats negros. Mi idea era tener un outfit con bastantes capas que aguantaran el frío de Nueva York a finales de marzo...si de marzo, estoy bastante atrasada (hoy en día lo utilizaría sin la chaqueta negra y sin el sombrerito...pero todavía se necesitan dos capitas). Estuve apunto de pedirle a Gabo mientras estaba en NYC que volvieramos a tomar estas fotos porque hay algo que no me convencía de ellas. Como les digo, si las tuviese que volver a tomar, lo haría sin la chaqueta y sin el sombrero....pero a lo echo pecho! Cuando utilicé este look me sentí como un pez fuera del agua...creo que casi NADIE en Nueva York usa un color tan llamativo hasta julio/agosto. Les deseo un feliz día! Un abrazo grandísimo

This was another of the looks from the video "We live, we blog, we dance...."- I liked a lot too so I saved it to wear it later. I haven't posted until know because I was planning to wear it again in NYC- but the weather is not cooperating with me haha. I wore this a couple of months ago to go to a Clarins event with latina bloggers (I'm sure you guessed it was a while ago because of the not-ombre hair). I have been trying the Clarins products so wait for a BeautySunday about them. Gabo is visiting me here in NYC until tomorrow and we have been taking pictures like crazy- but I don't know why, I've been wearing so much B&W...there's definitely something about New York that makes you wear darker colors. Este fue otro de los looks del video "We live, we blog, we dance...." que me gustó tanto que lo guarde para usarlo luego. Esto lo utilicé hace ya unos meses (como pueden ver por el cabello mucho más largo y sin las mechas californianas) para ir a un evento de la marca de belleza Clarins. Ahí aprendí pequeños truquitos sobre como aplicar las cremas y también he estado probando varios productos que ya les contaré en un "BEAUTYSUNDAY". No se porque desde que llegué a Nueva York he estado usando tanto blanco y negro... hay algo de esta ciudad que te hace querer usar colores más sobrios (al menos a mi me pasa). Gabo ha estado desde la semana pasada visitándome y hemos tomado muchísimas fotos pero quiero intercalarlas porque son todos looks B&W . No fueron planeados, creo que fue por traer la menor cantidad de ropa posible y que combinara toda entre si. Pero bueno...espero que tengan una bonita semana!! Un abrazo inmenso!

I have already admitted that I have been planning my NYC outfits from Miami because my boyfriend wasn't coming to New York with me (well, I'm so happy that he is here this weekend, and we have been taking pics around the city like crazy!). This is another of the looks we took in Miami- but I brought all the items so I could wear it exactly like in the pictures. I'm very excited that the weather is getting better and better every day- this means no more coats and scarfs. I started this outfit with simple white jeans and a black top with lace details; then I added this fun two toned jacket with leather sleeves; the coolest metallic pumps and a cute black clutch.

Anteriormente les admití que he estado planeando los looks de Nueva York desde Miami porque mi novio, que es quien me toma las fotos, no iba a estar conmigo. Este es otro de los looks que tomamos en Miami pero que me traje todas las piezas para usar el outfit completo en NYC. El clima ha estado mejorando muchísimo y ya puedo estar sin bufandas y mega chaquetotas (no se preocupen, que este fin he tomado muchísimas fotos por todo Manhattan). En este outfit empecé con unos jeans blancos, a los cuales siento que les voy a sacar mucho provecho esta primavera; una chaqueta con tonos azules y mangas de cuero; una camisa negra hermosa con detalles de encaje a los lados; unos tacones metálicos y una carterita tipo sobre.

As I've told you on the last post, last Saturday I was the host of a fun party with Jergens Crema with Latina bloggers...and well, this is what I wore. Since it was at my place, I wanted to be as comfortable as possible but still kinda cute. This meant: an A line skirt in lavender, and a long-sleeve crochet top. The party was from noon to 3pm- so around 5, I headed out to have an early dinner with Gabo and Tati from Furor Moda at one of the best sushi places in Miami. Btw, I know my hair is looking crazy in the lasts posts... I traveled with the least luggage possible to Miami (which means I left my blower, and straightening iron... so I had to improvise a little.) I hope you have an amazing weekend!! XOXO

Como les conté en el artículo anterior, el sábado fui la anfitriona de una fiesta junto a Jergens Crema y blogueras de moda...y esto fue lo que utilicé. Como era en mi casa, quería estar cómoda pero igual estar algo arregladita. La mejor opción: una falda en A de un color moradito y un top con encaje manga larga. La fiesta fue del mediodía hasta las 3 de la tarde- luego fui a comer con Gabo y con Tati de Furor Moda. Fuimos a un sitio de sushi que es de mis favoritos en Miami y estabamos antojadísimos. Por cierto, disculpen mi cabello: me fui a Miami con lo menos posible (eso significa que dejé mi plancha y secador en Nueva York.... y bueno, tuve que improvisar un poco jajaj). Espero que pasen un fin de semana lindísimo y que descansen mucho! Un abrazo!

Last Saturday I went to Miami for the weekend; mainly to host a party for the Jergens Crema with an amazing group of hispanic bloggers. I have to admit I was a little nervous; first because it was at my home and I was scared that nobody would showed up. On the contrary, an big group of amazing bloggers went...and I felt so happy and loved. We were sharing beauty secrets while having light bites and delicious mimosas. Also, I was telling them about the Jergens lotions and how amazing they are to soften and nourish the skin. Some shared that their grandmothers used them back in the day; and that's the best...when beauty tips are handed down from generation to generation. There are also three variations; coconut, aloe vera, oatmeal (everyone had their favorites...I think mine is coconut). Once again, thanks to Jergens for the opportunity and thanks to my amazing Miami bloggers for all the love and support! XOXO

El sábado pasado estuve en Miami por el fin de semana; una de las razones principales fue para ser la anfitriona de una fiesta junto a la crema Jergens y un grupo fantástico de blogueras latinas. Les tengo que admitir que estaba bastante nerviosa; era en mi casa y tenía pánico que nadie fuese a ir. Pero fue totalmente lo contrario, quedé muy alegre porque la gran mayoría fue...y les tengo un cariño especial a todas las que fueron. Estuvimos compartiendo secretos de belleza mientras comíamos pasapalos y tomabamos mimosas. También les estuve contando de las cremas Jergens; y lo espectaculares que son para hidratar la piel- tanto así que han pasado de generación en generación (muchas compartieron que se acuerdan de ver a sus abuelitas usándolas). También estuvimos probando las tres variaciones: de coco, de avena y de aloe vera (todas tenían sus favoritas!). Una vez más, gracias a Jergens por la oportunidad... y gracias a todas las blogueras por el apoyo y cariño!!
