Have you ever thought about how seductive a horse can be…perhaps only the Arabian can do that with such allure…

I have been taken heart and soul and into their beautiful eyes I fall, completely enchanted.

They dance like ballerina’s and all the earth’s their stage, and if you should see this poetry would pay you well to show your respect for these creatures are a gift to us all.

The Arabians in days of old were often housed with their families and fed goats milk and dates…much loved and much relied upon for their endurance in the Arabian deserts…

The Arabian has a shapley body and an elegance unsurpassed by any other equine more often than not with a dishy face and a big round eye.

Considered a very pretty horse, they are often flighty and have an aloofness - a catch me if you can nature - playful and loving they are something special not for the faint hearted.

This horse has a certain magic that is well suited to film and as already stated clearly…poetry in motion!

If I was to recommend a horse to anyone, including my own kids, it would have to be a Quarter Horse.

They are truly intelligent, reliable and totally loveable creatures, have you checked out their rear ends!

My Quarter Horses have all had that sensibility, they’re curious though not easily startled and so handsome.

Used for Western Pleasure, Campdrafting, Cutting and Reining and just about any other kind of riding style you care to imagine. They are totally versatile and make great students. The gorgeous horse in the infamous movie Black Beauty is an American Quarter Horse, now thats what Im talking about!

This hunk of burning love is none other than his Grand Sire…Helter kings Midnight…

One of those men is Heath Harrison…What a Master! Rex Harrison, Corky Randall and of course Grahame Ware have all contributed enormously to these movies and many other equine trainers across the Globe.

Training horses for Film is unlike any other form of Equine Training. It requires an incredible amount of discipline, absolute dedication and complete Mastery of the Actions of the Horse…It is a Skillful Artform and a Craft that only few would choose. There are those out there that would decry this industry and in most instances have not a clue what they are talking about or any insight into the precision and mastery required in the making of a masterpiece. The world would be a very sad place without the people behind the training of horses and animals for film. I am fortunate enough to have trained under Australian -Heath Harris in his Master Class Series, I highly recommend his Course to anyone seeking out this career path.

In Black Beauty the stunning American quarter Horse - Docs Keepin Time - had Trainer/Handler Rex Peterson (who also worked with Ginger the Chestnut in Black Beauty and on infamous movie The Horse Whisperer

The Black Stallion was filmed in an idylic location and the beautiful Arabian Stallion - Cass Ole make this movie a pleasure to watch.

In Zorro the Gorgeous Black Friesian - Tornado doubled with another Horse to make this movie… Ahh you say, all is not as it may seem..

and lets not forget about Spirit - it just has to be one of the all time best Cartoons about a horse that was ever made. Awesome!

Mr Ed = The talking horse a golden oldie - equine lovers world over tuned in to Televisions family favourite

The Never Ending Story - a personal favourite starred a beautiful horse know as Artac, I believe his real name is Noah. This horse endured many hours of unpleasantries to shoot his scenes in the Swamp of Sadness as it was a particularly difficult scene to shoot.

In The Gladiators movie Russell Crowes mount was a beautiful Andalusian simply known as George

The Saddle Club which was an overnight sucess both here and in the US starred several great horses Starlight, Prancer, Commanche, Garnet and Bard who were all trained by fourth generation horseman Grahame Ware.
