Jessie and Aaron are one of those couples who are happiest when they’re around each other and they poured that love into their wedding day. From the beginning, Jessie and Aaron wanted to have a relaxed wedding day where they got to spend time with their close friends and family.

Las Paletas popsicles were served to guests upon arrival to cool off on a hot summer day. Jessie’s JCrew gown got a little makeover with buttons from her grandmother’s dress and she carried lace from her mother’s dress wrapped around her bouquet. Her bridesmaids wore different dresses and the groomsmen sported chambray shirts with local Immogene + Willie jeans. They had fun celebrating and singing along with Aaron’s band members from Apache Relay. They are two of the sweetest people and it was a joy to work with them!

Ashley did a whiskey tasting with us and explained the differences between each of them.

After, we moved to the Plaza behind the Bellsouth building and saw how a ceremony could be setup.

Then moved into The Frontier Room for lunch, wine and handmade Kerfluffles Marshmallows!

I do love wedding cake and it can get somewhat pricy. Opting for a smaller cake and then having kitchen (sheet) cakes to feed the rest of the guests is a good option. You can also consider doing a couple smaller cakes or a dessert table with a small wedding cake and multiple other desserts.

There are a few different ways to save on cake. One is to do a small 2 tier cake and then use sheet cakes for the guests. Another is to do a cake buffet with a variety of smaller round cakes. One other way to save would be to look at cakes from grocery stores such as Publix. If you want a simple cake, this option may work for you. You should consider a tasting, to be sure that you like the flavor of the cake and the icing.

Whitney and Kevin were absolutely so wonderful to work with. These are two people who don’t sweat the small stuff and really know how to have a good time. Whitney is the type of person whose laid back demeanor instantly puts everyone around her at ease. And Kevin’s snarky jokes can make any situation fun. These two were truly made for each other and we loved getting to know them.
