Her works are mainly Arabic calligraphy on modern abstract or traditional backgrounds, in acrylic or on canvas.

With the advent of the Islamic Art course for kids, it was the perfect way to combine helping children develop fine motor and concentration skills with a passion for creativity and the remembrance of Allah (SWT).

The classes have been exceptionally successful thus far, with much talent being unearthed, and more confident kids leaving four days later.

This season’s class in Durban is scheduled for 28 September to 1 October 2009.

You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find an acceptably level surface in our home in order to make this picture work.

None of us expected it to go as viral as it did; from forwarded emails to facebook uploads.

With fonts and vector logos readily available, this was relatively easy to put together.

What is NasihaDesign About?
It is part online-store and part design-showcase.
We want to showcase the Ummah’s upcoming artists and designers.   From web to canvas.

NasihaDesign T-shirts?
We have launched with two original works.  T-shirts are printed on a quality 180gram cotton t-shirt. Manufactured and printed in South Africa, you can rest assured that not one thread on our t-shirts has seen a sweatshop.

Insha’allah we plan to launch at least ONE new t-shirt each month.

We also welcome  submissions for future designs. Yes, you will be renumerated for your time and effort.  Eventually we would like to establish monthly design contests.

We’d like to thank everyone for their guidance and support in getting this site up and running.  Insha’allah, in coming days, we will publish short interviews with the designers behind our launch t-shirts and they will share with us, their inspirations and aspirations.

Lastly, this website is still in its infancy and we’d love to hear your comments, criticisms and bug reports.
