this family holds a special place in my heart. meet baby j…he’s quite the miracle and proof God answers prayer. after 2 open heart surgeries within his first few months of life and much more than i can even explain, here he is bright eyed and healthier than ever. i love you guys dearly. happy first birthday little guy.

i’m warning you now, this post has more pictures than usual, but newborn shoots are special. not just special because babies are a miracle special. but special because there’s so much more here than just a perfectly posed baby. there’s emotion. there’s love. there’s grandma who’s completely in love. there’s the free spirited 3 year old that wouldn’t sit still for a quick family pose, but she laid in awe next to her baby sister staring at her…soaking in the reality that this baby is ‘hers’. her baby sister forever. enjoy….

i love photographing high school seniors. it’s an exciting time in their lives and i couldn’t be more thankful that i was able to document this important time for this soon to be graduate. lesson learned from this shoot….must remember a stool to stand on when shooting a six foot tall subject! thanks mike for a session filled with laughs…you’re awesome!
