Macbook Hard Drive Quick Memory Loss Solved!

Having a Macbook 2008 10.5.8 cleared a few months ago of large files (video, audio), 30 G's became my new HD space. However, sporadically and quickly, it went down to under 1 G of hard drive space. The main problem (solution to follow) was my Mozy.com backup created it's temporary storage folder onto the Macbook instead of onto the designated external hard drive. When the external hard drive is not attached, it will default to creating an invisible folder only to be found out my Disk Inventory X, which was recommended by this website. Thanks for the help and hope this helps others find out why their hard drive space reduced quickly.

Filemaker Save PDF File Size Solution to Reduce Size

Filemaker Save PDF script step and manual PDF creates large PDF file sizes. You can reduce the file size by highlighting objects in layout mode and set them to not print. To do so, go into Layout Mode, choose "Format" from the main menu above, click "Set Sliding/Printing" and choose the option for the selected objects to "not print." Not print also means not PDF. Regardless if the object is on the screen or hidden from the page format, the objects will still print or PDF, creating a larger file size. By selecting the objects you don't want to print/save PDF, you will reduce the file size.

I had a file size drop from 2.1 MB to 200 KB. Very significant, especially for companies or organizations sending many files in one email or posting onto the web.

I am running Filemaker 9 Advanced on a MacBook, 13".

Can you burn multiple RSS feeds into one Feed? YES!
After Google searching for too much for the solution to combine multiple blog RSS feeds into one feed, I found it! ChimpFeedr combines numerous RSS feeds into one feed. Direct link to ChimpFeedr. After combining your blog, twitter, etc RSS feeds into one feed, you can have FeedBurner or Google Analytics follow the single RSS feed by ChimpFeedr. Then publish the single RSS feed to your readers and voila!

Why multiple feeds into one feed?
If you have a twitter account and two blogs, combine all three into one feed for your readers to easily track and read via readers such as Google Reader. Enjoy!
