The V-shaped recovery that some economists thought was likely a month ago now looks more like a W–or even, heaven forbid, an L. With the stock market and consumer confidence down, and the stimulus thus far failing to stimulate, June may be remembered as the month that the Obama Administration was forced to take “ownership” of the Great Recession.

But the political implications of the “other” employment survey–of households rather than businesses–are somewhat less ominous for the Administration. Household employment declined by 374,000 positions, or nearly 100,000 less than the business survey figure. More importantly, the fastest growing ethnic group enjoyed a gain:

• - Total employment in June: -374,000 (-0.27 percent)
• - Non-Hispanic employment: -402,000 (-0.33 percent)
• - Hispanic employment: +28,000 (+0.14 percent)

White workers bore the brunt of June’s decline, as seen by disparity among unemployment rate changes:

• - White unemployment: 8.7 percent (+0.1 point in June)
• - Black unemployment: 14.7 percent (-0.2 point)
• - Hispanic unemployment: 12.2 percent (-0.5 point)

People on our side of the immigration debate warned that the Obama stimulus would benefit occupations disproportionately manned by immigrants. June’s figures do nothing to discredit their “paranoia.”

Rapes have risen by 100 percent amongst London schoolchildren over the last five years - directly mirroring the Third World colonisation of the capital which has seen at least 40 percent of the under 20 population become non-indigenous in origin.

The shocking sex crime figures were released by the Metropolitan Police yesterday. Of course they failed to link it to the figures in the recent Whitehall’s annual Regional Trends report which revealed that more than 700,000 children and teenagers in Britain are classed as non-white, and make up 40 percent of that age group in London.

Overall, rapes have more than doubled in five years and reported sex assaults have shot up from 165 in 2004/5 to 246 in 2008/9. The figures refer to cases on school grounds.

According to the new Met figures, almost 900 young boys and girls have been subjected to sex assaults including rape in London’s primary and secondary schools in the past five years.

The Met says that children as young as four have made allegations of rape. Commander Mark Simmons said the total of the reported sex assaults in independent and state schools could be as little as 10 percent of the real number occurring.

“We want to encourage young people to come and tell us what has happened to them. We want to assure them action will be taken,” Commander Simmons said, adding that the police have already been forced to assign 180 full-time officers to specific schools in London.

The Met figures show 52 children under the age of 18 were raped in primary and secondary schools since 2004. In that time a further 763 were the victims of other sexual assaults such as “penetration and inappropriate touching.”

Illegal immigration will be punishable by a hefty fine and those who knowingly house illegal migrants will face up to three years in prison.

The law also extends detention periods for illegal migrants to six months.

It was passed in the Senate (upper house) on Thursday, with 157 in favour and 124 against. The lower house passed it in May.

A “WHITE flight” to Facebook has turned MySpace into a black ghetto, according to a social analyst in the US.

Danah Boyd said Facebook’s arrival sparked a migration from MySpace of white users, the educated and the wealthy, while non-whites had stuck together on MySpace.

MySpace is owned by News Corp, the parent company of the publisher of NEWS.com.au.

“It wasn’t just anyone who left MySpace to go to Facebook,” Ms Boyd, who works with Microsoft Research New England, told a crowd at New York’s Democracy Forum.

“We might as well face an uncomfortable reality … what happened was modern day ‘white flight’.”

Ms Boyd said MySpace had become a digital “ghetto”.

“The people there are more likely to be brown or black and to have a set of values that terrifies white society,” she said.

Her interviews with American teenagers since 2006 showed that online migration mimicked the patterns of class groups’ movements across cities.

Incredible as it may seem, these fallacies are being included in public school multicultural courses in a growing number of U.S. cities and espoused in black-studies departments on some college campuses. The ideas represent the views of extremists within the Afrocentric movement, which is intended to acquaint U.S. blacks with their long-ignored African heritage and raise their pride and self-esteem. While approving of the legitimate aims of Afrocentrism, many educators, both black and white, are concerned that its excesses will subvert the very goals it seeks to accomplish.

“It defeats what we’re trying to do because it’s going to be discredited,” says David Pilgrim, a sociologist at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. “All the good reasons why it was proposed are going to come back tenfold as negatives on the black community — and on the black intellectual community specifically.” Pilgrim, who is black, calls the claims of the extremists “pseudoscience” and “reverse Jensenism,” referring to the controversial theories of Arthur Jensen, who argued that blacks were genetically less intelligent on average than whites.

Much of the Egyptian lore of Afrocentrism stems from the African-American Baseline Essays, published in 1987 by the largely white Portland, Oregon, school district to encourage multiculturalism. This series of seven essays has since been used as a guide by public school systems in Atlanta; Detroit; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and other cities. Teachers are encouraged to read the essays and incorporate at least some of the material into their lesson plans.

The media and the Muckadoos on the Internet think that this is once again an example of “conservative hypocrisy.” I’ve seen no less than ten news segments dedicated to discussing whether or not the GOP needs to shift focus away from family values, religion and morality because even the standard bearers of the ideology can’t stay the course.’

Two things.  First off, if this is “conservative hypocrisy” isn’t every Democratic scandal involving money an example of “liberal hypocrisy?” The statist agenda is to take your money and have the government spend it because, supposedly, they can do it better and fairer than you can.  So when we indict a Democrat over bribes, theft, or kickbacks why don’t we talk about how that effects their agenda?  Shouldn’t the Rod Blagojevich scandal generate a full Anderson Cooper show about how the Democrats are going to proceed in telling us that they should take care of the cash when they are all a bunch of crooks?

Secondly, all these political scandals serve to hammer home a central point: politicians are a wacky bunch.  They are an odd form of sociopath.  Deluded, narcissistic, self-important wind bags who spend their lives seeking the ultimate freeloading government gig.  They are not to be trusted.  Government should be limited so we don’t allow these types of people: philanderers, tax cheats, alcoholics, drug addicts, con artists, pedophiles and thieves too much control over the people.

If your friend was under federal investigation for financial improprieties would you blindly lend him your ATM card and PIN number?  Would you trust the judgment of a friend who spent most of their time drunk or hopped up on prescription drugs?  Would you allow yourself to be lectured about your personal actions by someone who kept kiddie porn on their laptop?

There is an inherent fallacy to statist ideologies like communism and socialism.  For them to work, the people in the government must be beyond reproach.  They must be angels; wise sages who can put their own egos, wants and desires on the back burner to serve the common good.  Where are these benevolent deities?  Where are these Mother Theresa types to guide us and protect us?  They ain’t in Washington.

None of these bills, I should note, have picked up much support. And Paul’s track record with economic legislation isn’t any better. His perennial efforts—shifting the country back toward a gold standard, abolishing the personal income tax, and dismantling the Federal Reserve—are nonstarters. They so change the very fabric of this country that Paul can’t marshal his colleagues to his side.

Which is why Paul’s most recent legislative accomplishment is so impressive. He has rallied the majority of the House to support his new cause: an audit of the Federal Reserve. Legislators are sick of not knowing what’s going on inside Bernanke’s fortress, especially as the Fed becomes further enmeshed in the nation’s fiscal policy. Paul’s little bill has become emblematic of a larger movement, one that could spell trouble for Obama’s troubled regulatory plan. Ron Paul—always an enemy of regulation—is now an enemy of Obama. And a mighty powerful one at that.

Paul wants to audit the Fed primarily because he wants to destroy it; the audit bill is just the latest chapter in Paul’s lifelong crusade against it. His vendetta is fueled by the belief that the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional, a central bank within a country that doesn’t allow central banks. That the Fed can manipulate the currency and “create legal tender out of thin air” is heresy. And so Paul attempts to dismantle it the only way he can: through legislation.

Two Desert Hot Springs residents — who federal and local authorities say are the city’s top two rival drug dealers — could face life in federal prison after their arrests Tuesday during a raid dubbed “Operation Falling Sun Phase II.”

Rigoberto Lopez, 22; Miguel Gilbert, 26; and Lopez’s girlfriend, Teresa Coronado, 20, were arrested without incident by a multi-agency law enforcement task force, Riverside County District Attorney Rod Pacheco announced during a news conference and as reported at mydesert.com.

Lopez and Gilbert have ties to Mexican drug cartels, and the two rivals acted as wholesale distributors to the city’s gangs, who then sold the drugs on local streets to help fund their activities, Pacheco said.

“These two guys are the top two dope dealers in Desert Hot Springs,” Pacheco said. Authorities declined to detail the suspects’ alleged supply and distribution methods.

The two men face life in federal prison without parole on drug-dealing charges, authorities said. An undercover informant is expected to testify in the case, Pacheco said.

The arrests stemmed from the same investigation launched in August that led to the largest law enforcement operation in Riverside County history, Operation Falling Sun.

Those March 27 raids netted more than 130 arrests of suspected gang members and parole violators, many of whom have been convicted and sent to state and federal prisons, Pacheco said.

The district attorney in March estimated arrests at more than 120.
