JAIL FOR NO INSURANCE UNDER PELOSI BILL

The nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation reported that the House version of the health care bill specifies that those who don’t buy health insurance and do not pay the fine of about 2.5% of their income for failing to do so can face a penalty of up to five years in prison!

The bill describes the penalties as follows:

* Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

* Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]

That anyone should face prison for not buying health insurance is simply incredible.

And how much will the stay-out-of-jail insurance cost?  The Joint Committee noted that “according to a recent analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, the lowest-cost family non-group plan under HR 3862 (the Pelosi bill) would cost $15,000 by 2016.”

Look on the bright side! If you can’t afford Government mandated healthcare, go to prison. People in prison get free healthcare!

Hopefully the bill (if passed by the Senate and ratified into law by that President guy) will include treatment for the congressionally induced rectal problem all Americans will share.

Other media outlets have been challenging the White House about it even though they are no friends of Fox.

Why? Because they know they could be next. This President might be friendly with the left leaning accommodating old media outlets that fawn over him and carry his water, but the next President might not be.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Pot-smoking patients or their sanctioned suppliers should not be targeted for federal prosecution in states that allow medical marijuana, prosecutors were told Monday in a new policy memo issued by the Justice Department.

Under the policy spelled out in a three-page legal memo, federal prosecutors are being told it is not a good use of their time to arrest people who use or provide medical marijuana in strict compliance with state law. -source; myway.com

The memo goes on to say that criminal distribution will still be prosecuted.

The guidelines issued by the department do, however, make it clear that federal agents will go after people whose marijuana distribution goes beyond what is permitted under state law or use medical marijuana as a cover for other crimes.

Perhaps it is time to go all the way and decriminalize marijuana. California spends millions on eradication, arrest and prosecution of marijuana related crimes. What are we getting for the money? Despite the millions spent it is easier for a student in any high school in California to buy marijuana than beer.

Marijuana could be subject to laws similar to those governing the production, distribution and consumption of alcoholic beverages. Similar taxation could be applied. Coupled with reduced enforcement costs a dent could be made in California’s perpetual budget deficits and perhaps the drug would be less available to minors.

With law enforcement budgets shrinking, law enforcement could redirect the freed up resources towards the arrest, prosecution and incarceration of violent criminals.

Following the money tells another story.

While world leaders shake Obama’s hand and praise him publicly, their central banks increasingly seek euros and yen for their country’s reserves.

Ben Bernanke’s dollar crisis went into a wider mode yesterday as the greenback was shockingly upstaged by the euro and yen, both of which can lay claim to the world title as the currency favored by central banks as their reserve currency.

Over the last three months, banks put 63 percent of their new cash into euros and yen — not the greenbacks — a nearly complete reversal of the dollar’s onetime dominance for reserves, according to Barclays Capital. The dollar’s share of new cash in the central banks was down to 37 percent — compared with two-thirds a decade ago. source- NY Post

A google search on the decline of the dollar will yield numerous stories of the dollar losing its status. China, Russia and others are reacting to the dollar’s weakened condition by seeking to replace it with a new currency for international oil transactions.

Our currency is on the way to becoming worth less. If the trend continues America will have to buy euros, yens or some new world currency at greatly disadvantaged exchange rates to trade internationally.

Americans are broke, overextended, and unemployed. What better time then now to further weaken the few dollars they have left? Let’s have the President and Democrat Party controlled Congress pass a trillion dollar health care plan, another trillion dollar stimulus bill and another tax increase!

I think it is admirable that they want the big O to achieve greatness, but really, what has he done? What has he accomplished?

Why is BO any different than my daughter? Really, he isn’t. He was just given the honor before having to earn it…
