    <description>&lt;p&gt;On April 18, the House Agriculture Committee approved a &amp;ldquo;reconciliation&amp;rdquo; bill that will eliminate nearly three-quarters of federal funding for the SNAP E&amp;amp;T program, reducing the availability of critical job training services for low‐skilled SNAP recipients. &lt;p&gt;On March 29, three House Republicans introduced the Workforce Investment Improvement Act of 2012 (HR 4297), which essentially combines their three individual previously released WIA reauthorization bills.
