Nokia launches 41 megapixel smartphone‎

Nokia says the phone is only so slightly heavier than previous models and is still pocketable.

Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled a new smartphone with an unprecedented 41-megapixel camera.

The 450 Euros device, 808 PureView, runs on software that Nokia is reportedly phasing out in favour of the Windows Phone.

The new smartphone, which was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, is expected to launch in Europe in May, The Telegraph reports.

With 41 MP, the phone is able to shoot images that Nokia claims can be printed in "poster size".

Files, however, condense four or five pixels into one, and Nokia claims they are smaller than equivalent products from rivals.

A Carl Zeiss lens shoots in continuous focus HD video, at 1080p.

Mary McDowell, the firm s executive vice president for mobile phones, said the company s engineers had been working on the product "for years".

She said it was "natural" to assume that its technology would be used in other Nokia products in the future.

McDowell added that while the device was larger than its rivals, it was still sized to fit in pockets, rather than replace a full-size camera.

According to the report, the device uses a 1.3GHz processor, comes with 16GB of storage and runs a 4" screen at 360 x 640, which is below HD resolution.

Zenbook UX31 Asus New Creation

This slim, clever and quick laptop is great news for those who need Windows

13.3 inch screen | 2.3 mm front edge | 4 GB RAM | 4+ hours battery time

Only 2.8 mm thin at the front edge and about 17 mm at the thickest point, the Zenbook is as slim and stylish as it gets. The spun metal and hairline aluminium body give it an industrial yet appealing look. And it can get cracking from sleep mode in just 2 seconds. If that is not impressive for a Windows machine, its standby time of two weeks certainly is.

This good-looking, fast machine is smart too. It automatically saves all data and open files when its battery reaches 5 per cent charge. You don’t have to bother with shutting down before rushing off for a meeting.

While you can choose between an i5 or i7 Core processor, there is no option to the 13.3 inch (33.8 cm) screen. (In case you want an 11.1 inch display, you can go for Asus’ UX21 model.) The LED backlit display supports 1,600 x 900 p resolution. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 give you basic graphic processing, but you can’t push it to the edge.

For storage you can choose between a 128 GB or 256 GB hard disc, and there is 4 GB of Ram. It comes preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium. And while it looks thin, the machine is slightly heavy at 1.3 kg.

For connectivity, it has: USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Micro HDMI port, and a mini-VGA port. There is no Ethernet, just a Wi-Fi. What is really nice is that this machine is Bluetooth 4.0 ready.

The other smashing features are in its speakers. Asus teamed up with B&O, and incorporated in them its Sonic Master technology. The sound is enhanced because of digital sound processing and the speakers’ oversized resonance chambers.

The Zenbook delivers a good 4+ hours of battery time on power save mode. In this mode, however, the machine tends to be a bit slow—especially while browsing the internet or working on large Excelsheets. It works fine in performance mode, but you will need to keep its power adapter nearby.

This machine works very well for people who want a thin and light machine that does what it promises, runs Windows, and boasts of a good battery backup.

The Internet Is Here To Replace All Other Platforms

“But it seems increasingly clear that lots of people are using iPhones, Android handsets and iPads (and maybe, one day, Android tablets) as auxiliary TV sets at home. What that means for the TV business depends on your perspective.” -

There is only one perspective about what the internet means to the TV business:

The internet is here to replace the broadcast TV platform.

The internet will deliver TV shows to audiences instead of the broadcast TV platform. It’s why the internet is here — to replace old, antiquated information delivery and communications platforms. We’ve already seen plenty of reasons why. When a disaster strikes, the old platforms stop working. That means information and communications can (and usually are) cut off to the public. The internet, however, stays in operation. This was seen during Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti. The internet was designed for this. The technical term is ‘fault resistant.’ How it works is pretty cool. In simple terms, if it can’t get to you one way it re-routes itself and finds another. No other platform to date can really do this.

Not to mention the internet platform is device agnostic (no specific device required to access it) and available everywhere. It’s also less expensive to own and operate for those who own/operate platforms in platform business.

What the internet will not do, however:

1. End television consumption among audiences, including in the home and via TV sets.

People will still watch TV, and likely lots of it. Only instead of it being delivered into their homes or what not by the broadcast platform, it’ll be via the internet platform.

Not too much else will change, but there will be some changes. For example, audiences will be able to watch television anywhere and from a range of devices (including cars, for example, and of course, TV sets). They’ll likely be able to pick and choose shows and networks in new ways, though this is yet to be seen (and to be determined by how TV industry reacts to and harnesses disruption by the internet). There will also likely be more TV options, including international shows, networks, etc.

TV networks will likely find more opportunity not less when it comes to advertisers in the future — the internet will enable all kinds of new ways of engagement, which will in turn potentially create new revenue means and channels for networks. It already is. Not to mention the future will also include the usual revenue stream of subscription content. Subscription content and services are always a when-scenario in platform business, entirely driven by consumers who want richer quality and/or access than what’s available for free. That’s the way it’s always worked through multiple disruptive platforms before the internet and will hereafter. With internet-delivered TV being freed from solely being viewed in a fixed environment, it means more eyeballs for TV advertisers.

TV industry won’t likely struggle with adapting itself to the changes above, in part because of where we all are in the course of the internet’s disruption and in part because it won’t be restricted by devices as print media has been before the advent of readers and tablets. Where TV will probably see disruption will be in user control of shows and potentially increased competition but outside of that, little else will likely be different.

So in reality what the internet means to TV will be simple: It’ll mostly be the same, just a different delivery platform. This will be important to understand in the coming years ahead.

The Future According to Google

“Google is disruptive in the marketplace, and they’ll continue to try to solve complex problems,” says Wade Beavers, CEO of Minnesota-based DoApp, a Web and mobile application development company.

Net Gains
One Google solution will change the way we access the Internet. Responding to the fact that the United States ranks 15th in the world for average Internet connection speed, Google lit a fire under us all when it announced it would outfit Kansas City, Kansas, with ultra-high-speed, fiber-optic connections, enabling citywide Wi-Fi. Now they’re looking at a possible nationwide rollout.

With Internet speeds expected to multiply 100 times faster than current hookups, Google may just bring Kansas City and the rest of the country into the 21st century.

“People are limited to the choice of a local cable provider or DSL,” says Beavers. “If Google gets into the pipe business, it’ll mean the costs of Internet service will go down, or it might even be free.” Not surprisingly, Beavers thinks the public will be interested in that possibility.

“In the future, if you can get high-speed Internet from Google for $15 a month, or free, and in return, all you have to do is look at some ads, wouldn’t you do it?” he asks.

Finer Tuning
They’ve already given us Google TV, allowing users to access the entire Web on their tubes. Next, the Android SDK app will enable users to wield a smartphone as a remote control. But will it end there?

Not by a long shot. Google already employs cloud-based technology to store data for its Gmail and Google Doc customers, but the company is set to unveil technology to provide users with a la carte downloads, music sharing, and a cloud-based “digital locker” where they can store their tunes for $25 a year.

Unlike other music-streaming sites like Rhapsody, MOG, and Napster, Google’s service would allow users to share their library with their friends, who could also listen to each song once without having to buy it. With most other existing music services, users can only listen to short snippets of a song before buying (usually 30 seconds or less).

Remote Possibilities
Google’s cloud-based music service is another example of its recognition that the future of personal computing will be conducted not in front of a desktop, but on a smartphone.

“They will mature the mobile experience,” says Igor Faletski of Vancouver-based Mobify.com, a company that optimizes websites for mobile devices. “You’ll see greater utilization of location-based applications, like Google Maps and Google Earth, to take advantage of the fact that most people will make their purchasing decisions while they’re mobile.”

Google Maps’ Street View allows users to visit places they’ve never seen, but in the future we’ll be able to shop in places we’ve never been. Recently, Google started accepting applications from businesses to have their store interiors and sales floors photographed, eventually enabling consumers to go “in the door” and experience the store with a panoramic view -- to inspire and assist further virtual purchases.

“It’s a 3-D image of anywhere in the world,” says Faletski. “And that’s in keeping with their vision of the world two, five or 10 years from now -- it’s about cutting-edge innovation and user experience, because that’s what they’re passionate about.”

Google Turns Search On Its Ear!

CNN News Reports: "The largest change to Googles search results in History starts today".

Today, Google made the merger I'd told you to watch for...

They merged their default search results with G+ creating the much-discussed "social search".

You can read more on Google's Blog and on the CNN news story.

Who wins? Social influencers with name recognition leverating G+ and the +1 button. Who loses? The old school SEO'er. Exactly as predicted.

It is worth noting that those who don't like these personalized results can now easily turn them off which is new and useful to us as well. However, by default they are on and are what the average searcher will see if they are logged in.

This is what Facebook COULD have done two years ago and trumped Google with but delayed and has lost a critical foothold.

What does this mean for you? It means that while SEO principles remain important... that social influence and market recognition in the social space is now a KEY SEO element.

If you took my advice to leverage the +1 button, Google+, pages, authorship and badges (wow, what a mouthful!) you are now going to begin reaping the rewards.

It means that more than ever you must establish yourself in your niche, in your market and set out to become a recognized personality!

Training courses such as this are one way to expand your knowledge of how to win this game. The students that took part in the 30 Day Challenge with me last month also learned a LOT about this type of social influence.

Regardless of how you do it this is the only kind of influence that is "future proof". Tech will come and go, searches will come and go, social sites will come and go... but when you have influence and a strong community or "tribe" around you it will allow you to continue to thrive!

Facebook Scam "Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!"

Recently covered about a Facebook worm which targeted a whole lot of facebook users. It's really sad to see that these types of scams keep growing and facebook hasn't really been able to successfully give protection to their users from such scams.

A new bloke in the list "Yeahh!! It happens on Live Television!", the most viral one yet, is spreading like a wildfire among facebook users.

The following status on one of my friend's wall bought my attention first towards this scam:

Lady is the above screen shot is Marika Fruscio an Italian Model, She had Wardrobe malfunction (Accidental exposure of intimate parts) on a live TV show, which is what the scam refers to.

On clicking the link, Facebook users are directed to the folllowing page:

In order to play the video the user has to click the button "jaa", which appears as an age verification system required in order to watch the video. when you click on "jaa" you are infact clicking on a hidden link which consequently post the same link on each of your contact's wall. Next a survey is prompted which the user needs fill in order to watch the video, thus helping the scammers make tons of money.

While searching related to the scam on the internet, I managed to find the source code of the scam on pastebin, This proves that there is not a single body behind this scam, with the source code available in public, any one could create a website and inject the malicious javascript in to it and start scamming.

How To Remove The Scam?

It's fairly easy to remove the scam, all you need to do is to report it to facebook.
