Nayantara going to stop acting

South indian hot actress Nayantara who is playing a devotional role of Sita in Bapu's Sriramarajyam announced that she will not act in movies after this film. Sources close to the actress say that her boyfriend actor Prabhu Deva asked Nayantara not to act in movies anymore after this film and hence she took the decision.

She also rubbished rumours that her relationship with Prabhu Deva came to an end. She clarified that things are absolutely fine between her and Prabhu Deva.

"Tamil actor Vijay asked me to play a role in Tamil version of 'Bodyguard'. But I refused because I am not going to act anymore. 'Sri Ramarajyam' is a movie I am proud of. I feel blessed to play the role of Sita who is the epitome of Indian woman. Besides, acting in Bapu's film and sharing screenspace with Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Balaiah is memorable. Nayantara who is passing through a lean phase in her career, will be back in Mollywood with a couple of big projects. She has already completed the hyped ‘Electra’ with director Shyamaprasad in which she plays the important role. The movie also features Prakash Raj and Manisha Koirala as her parents.

The other important new project to come her way is ‘Mathilukalkkappruam' which is a sequel to Adoor Gopalakrishnan's celebrated film 'Mathilukal'. It will be directed by debutante Prasad. Prasad will continue with Basheer’s story from where Adoor left.

Nayantara will be in the role of Narayani, the unseen woman prisoner on the other side of the prison wall in the original. Mammootty will once again come up as Basheer. The movie is expected to give some of the best moments of the lead actors in Malayalam cinema.

Earlier, Vidya Balan was said to be debuting in Malayalam with this film. Now it seems Nayantara has replaced her. Ravi K Chandran will be the cameraman and sound directions will be by Oscar winning Resul Pookutty. Mammootty’s production company Playhouse is producing this film.

Nayantara apparently fainted on the sets yesterday while shooting for ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ that has ‘Arya in the lead!

Sources say that Nayantara was empty stomach and didn’t have her food for the day, making her faint while the shooting was going on! The worried unit members rushed her to the hospital only to find out that she was weak. The doctors have advised her rest and regular food intakes.

The shooting was taking place in a leading studio in Chennai.

She deferred from being in the regular filmimass by refusing, to be on the new Mani Ratnam movie ‘Raavana’. It is learned that Nayantara couldn't approve the offer of acting as mandodhari opposite Vikram in the movie, an idea initiated by Suhasini Mani Ratnam, due to her date problems.

Nayantara realises that she has thus missed a big opportunity to be with the master, but also finds that the schedule of ‘Raavana’ is not so flexible to accommodate her.

An actress, who is maintaining her thick and busy schedules running around all languages in South India, is currently shooting for ‘Aadhavan’, the new Suriya starer. After the movie she will be seen in the Telugu flick with Balakrishna titled ‘Dhanraj’, after which she will complete her portions in the Malayalam movie ‘Bodyguard’.

The most sexiest actress of South indian film industry Nayanthara is coming back to Malayalam. Nayanthara is doing the title caharachter of new malayalam movie "Electra". Scripted and directed by Shyamaprasad, the movie will also feature Tamil actor Arya as the hero.

This will be first Malayalam film of Arya, famous for his movies like ‘Naan Kadavul’ and ‘Pattiyal’, who by birth is a Malayalee. Produced by Vindhayan in the banner of Rasika entertainments the movie will have Nayantara playing the title character Electra Alexander. Nayantara confirmed opposite Balakrishna

A few weeks ago, we heard that reigning actress Nayantara would possibly be veteran Balakrishna's heroine in his upcoming Telugu film Dhanraj, to be directed by Boyapati Srinu (Bhadra and Tulasi fame). Now latest reports say that Boyapati Srinu has confirmed Nayantara as the lead lady in this flick.

Notably, South India's hot property Namitha will be the second heroine in Dhanraj, produced by Paruchuri Kirti with a whopping budget of Rs. 15 crore under the banner of United Movies. The film will be launched on August 6.

M.M. Keeravani is scoring the music. The director wants to finish the film quickly, so he is preparing everything with top priority. Balakrishna, whose last few films have not been making waves at the box office, is eagerly looking forward to Dhanraj, expected to be an action-packed family entertainer.

After Asin's immense success with Gajini, the stars popularity rose multifold. Now another south Indian star Trisha has ventured into Bollywood with Priyadarshan's Katta Meeta.
