I remember the first family meeting to let us in on their plans for getting a divorce. They wanted us to choose which of them we'd live with. We cried our eyes out. Sleep

I used to sleep at 12, and wake up at around 6.30 in the morning.

Last night I slept at 3, and woke up still at 6.30 am.

And I don't feel any different.

Why sleep early then? If 3 hours plus is enough?

The only phone with android 3.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is now available in Malaysia, via Celcom and Digi.

My HTC Desire will be 2 years old in March. Should I really buy a new phone? But then, I am not really into gadgets anymore. At least, not like before.

I don't know if one can still preserve the sanity, spiritual freedom, to have independent mind when one is in a midst of a mental crisis. The way I see it, perhaps one can rely upon one's mental strength when one is faced with physical crisis, but how about otherwise?

If one's mental state is delirious, delusional, unstable, how does one cope with one's mental illnesses?

Should one rather try to use one's physical capabilities to control mental chaos?

...I don't know...and soon enough, I won't care....this is just too much.

The rules regarding the tangibles, are easier to do, and I have yet to break any of them.

But, "hope"? That's tricky, as there is no black and white. hmmmm....

Unequal Animals

Why this inequality? Why are there different classes of human beings? If you were to justify the wealth of the high caste people, their position in the society because of their hard work, then how do you explain the labourers who work so much harder than almost anybody else?

Do they deserve to live a better life, just because they are more intelligent, more knowledgeable, more cunning than others at taking opportunities in life? But how do you reckon for those who have learning difficulties? Why some people can effortlessly excel at anything, yet for some other people, too bad they are not so lucky?

Why is life so unfair to those poor folks? Why? Dear God, why? It's not entirely capitalism's fault, is it? Will this ever be solved by communism/socialism? Will it?

In "How To Read A Book" by Mortimer J. Adler & Charles Van Doren, they recommended that it is advisable for one to read well, rather than widely as quality is more important than merely quantity. Choose books that are well over one's head, in order to gain the most from reading, to not just learn how to read better, but to also stimulate the mind, to gain connection between ideas and to make sense of them.

"Walden", by Thoreau is by far the book that I treasure the most, which I discovered from watching and reading "Into The Wild". When I first read it, the language was absolutely beyond me, and I read almost like a parrot speak, with little to no understanding at all. Persistently I reread Walden a few more times over the past few years, and each time there is always something new that I have not quite realized before.

Reading and writing are just like any other skills, they require sheer persistence and practice. Books are like challenges in life, harder ones grow our minds, challenge our beliefs, and force us to think deeply about facts and fantasy of life. Why then, should we not approach them the similar way?

Three quotes from Montaigne's Essays at the bottom of this post, emphasize how important it is for philosophers, to first and foremost practice what they read and write. I see reading as a way to gain new knowledge, and writing to reformulate, digest and understand the ideas better. These two actions give rise to what the brain thinks, and indirectly lead to how the limbs were to act.

Hope is a dangerous thing, it creates expectation and possibility of being disappointed when things do not go the way we want them to be. Hope, is something that I believe should be disregarded from my constitution of life. I live in the present, and I do not care about the future.

The heart has already grown numb, and I have decided to quit smoking, starting now. There is no longer any needs for nicotine, as I have no desire to keep the hopes alive. I had killed them all, just like that. Thank you. :)
