GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS FOR THE YEAR 2022 NIGERIAN AIR FORCE TRADE AND NON-TRADE MEN/WOMEN RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR NIGERIAN AIR FORCE TRADE AND NON-TRADE MEN/WOMEN RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, and possess a national identity card/NIN or BVN.

Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 22 years (Applicants born before 31 March 2001 are not eligible) for non-tradesmen/women, 18 and 25 years of age (Applicants born before 31 March 1998 are not eligible) for tradesmen/women. Those applying for Chaplains Assistant/Assistant Imams and Drivers/Mechanic must be between 18 and 28 years of age (Applicants born before 31 March 1995 are not eligible).

Marital Status: All applicants must be single.

Height: Minimum height is 1.66m or 5.4ft for males and 1.63m or 5.3ft for females.

Medical Fitness: Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.

Local Government Area Attestation Form: Applicants' Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed by a military officer from the same State as the applicants and not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy or a Police Officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner and above, or Local Government Chairmen/Secretaries, Magistrates and Principals of Secondary Schools attended by applicants' can also sign the Attestation Form. The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and photocopy of the signees' Drivers Licence National ID Card or International Passport. The signee is also to authenticate the applicants' passport photograph.

Presentation of original credentials: Successful applicants are required to submit their original credentials for scrutiny at the Selection Board Interview Exercise. The credentials include the following:

a. Two recent passport size photographs to be stamped and countersigned by the officer of appropriate rank as specified in Paragraph 6.

b. Original and Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.

c. Original and Photocopy of Educational/Trade Certificates.

d. Original and Photocopy of Indigeneship certificate from applicant's Local Government/State of Origin.

e. Original and Photocopy of Attestation of Good Character signed by Officer of appropriate rank as specified in paragraph 6.

Any applicant suspected to have impersonated or submitted false document(s) shall be disqualified from the Selection Exercise. Also, any false declaration detected later may lead to withdrawal from training. Such applicants will be handed over to the Nigeria Police for prosecution. The Nigerian Air Force will not entertain any inquiries in respect of applicants whose applications have been rejected. Interested applicants are to note that the online registration is FREE OF CHARGE. Applicants are required to fill invalid email addresses and telephone numbers in the appropriate spaces provided in the Application Form.

Application Forms: On completion of the application forms, applicants must print out the underlisted documents:

a. Acknowledgment Slip.

b. Attestation of Parent/Guardians Form.

c. Local Government Area Attestation Form.

Successful applicants would be invited to Selection Board Interview Exercise through the portal.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THOSE APPLYING AS NON-TRADESMEN AND WOMEN

Non-Tradesmen/Women: Applicants applying for Non-Tradesmen/Women must possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than 2 sittings in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB. In addition, applicants are required to possess their school's testimonials.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THOSE APPLYING AS TRADESMEN AND WOMEN

Tradesmen/Women:

a. Applicants with ND/NCE must possess at least lower credit from accredited institutions and must possess a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than 2 sittings in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB.

b. Applicants applying as drivers and other trade skills that require a Trade test must possess a minimum of 2 passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB with a credit in English in addition to their Trade Test Certificate and valid driving license for drivers.

c. Applicants applying as sportsmen/women are to present evidence of their professional experience, which should include certificates and medals.

Note: That applicant with HND or First Degrees/Post-Graduate Certificates and University Diplomas certificates will not be considered for recruitment as airmen/airwomen into the Nigerian Air Force and should not apply. Applicants with medical qualifications must possess evidence of registration with relevant professional bodies and valid current practicing license (s).

Requirements: Applicants are advised to carefully read the specific disciplines required before filling the form:

a. Engineering Technicians: ND Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering Technology, Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology/Automobile Engineering, and Trade Test in Fitter Machinist.

Possession of recognized certifications such as a Diploma in Desktop Publishing, Certificate in Computer Appreciation, Certificate in Graphics Design, Certificate in Web Design, Certificate in Computer Maintenance and Networking, Certificate in Video Editing Course is an added advantage.

e. Administration: ND Public Administration, Office Technology and Management, Business Administration/Management, Statistics.

f. Logistics: ND Purchasing and Supply, Marketing and Supply Chain Management, Trade skills like Tailoring are to come with Test Certificate.

g. Air Provost/Intelligence: ND Sociology, Criminology, Psychology, Statistician (Record Analyst), Intelligence and Security Studies.

Entry Requirements for Admission into NMS

Find below, the key entry requirements for admission into NMS:

The Candidate must be a male Nigerian.
The Candidate must be at least 12 years old and not more than 14 years old by October 1st of the year of entry.
The Candidate must have completed Primary School education.
The Candidate must be medically and physically fit.
The Candidate must be of good moral character.
The Candidate must fill and submit his application form online through this portal.
The Candidate must sit for the Entrance Examination on the scheduled date and at the venue chosen by him while filling the online application form.
Candidates are to report to the Examination Centre with the ORIGINAL COPY of their Exam Photocard as generated from the portal. Candidates without Exam Photocard shall NOT be allowed to sit for the exam.
Candidates are also advised to report to the Examination Centre with print-out copies of their Application Form and Payment Slip as generated from the portal.
Candidates invited for selection interviews will be made to undergo compressive physical and medical examinations.
Candidates invited for selection interview will be required to come with original copies of Birth Certificate, completed Local Government Certificate of Origin, Exam Photocard, and other documents/items to be communicated.

Please note that:

Admission into NMS is open to all male Nigerians who fulfill the given entry requirements. It is NOT restricted to only children of Military Personnel.

NMS does NOT accept students on transfer from other schools. All candidates must enroll at JSS 1 and then work hard and diligently to complete their education and training up to SS 3.

How to apply for Nigerian Military School (NMS) Application

Interested candidates are to visit the NMS admissions portal at http://www.nms1954.sch.ng/apply

Click on the button in the blue box to open the application page and read the instructions carefully then click the start button

Follow steps 1-4 of the application process to fill in all the required data and click on the "Generate Form" button to generate the Candidate's Form and open the Payment Slippage. The parental status of the candidate must be correctly stated as any misinformation will automatically disqualify the candidate.

On the payment slip-page, payment can be made either:

Directly online using Bank issued ATM debit cards, Click on the Pay Online button and you shall be directed to the secure Interswitch platform to complete

Through the bank, click on the bank's pay button at branch pay and wait a few seconds so that your details can be forwarded to the banks in advance, then print the payment slip and take it to any of the listed banks for payment. Return to the portal to complete the online application after payment.

Candidates can get their exam photo card from the portal only after payment is confirmed and a valid passport-size photo is uploaded.

After successfully completing the application process, candidates are advised to print the original copy of their application form, payment slip, and exam photo card from the portal. Candidates have to present their examination photocard at the examination center on the day of the entrance examination.

If you have successfully completed your Npower registration but are not shortlisted or hired as a beneficiary of Npower Power Batch C Stream 1, don't panic because this post is entirely for you.

Npower batch is not deployed because C1 does not mean that you will not convert it to another stream of the program which Npower batch C2

Npower applicants who have not been posted as Batch C1 beneficiaries still have the opportunity to place in C2.

Earlier, the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadia Umar Farooq, announced that the Npower Batch C program would be divided into two sections namely Batch C Stream 1 and 2.

Those who have successfully completed their application, verification, and fingerprint capture are the applicants who have been selected as the beneficiaries of the Power Batch C Stream 1.

NPower Batch C Stream 2 Today Update

Beneficiaries of Batch C Stream 2 will be placed with Stream 1 beneficiaries with their physical verification exercises.

What can I do to be selected for NPower Stream 2?

Before you can opt for NPower Stream 2 or Batch C2, you must first capture the fingerprint on the NASIM portal.

If your biometric enrollment is successful, you will be posted as a Batch C2 beneficiary, but if your biometric enrollment is not successful, you will not be posted.

So many applicants who have completed their Npower Fingerprint Capturing but did not create it as Npower Power Stream 1 have resulted in incorrect data.

Remember, if the name of your BVN is different from the name of your NPower Nasims dashboard, your application will be rejected.

Most of the applicants who were not shortlisted for NPower Stream 1 resulted in incorrect information, incomplete application, low test score, and failed fingerprint capture.

To successfully register your Npower Biometrics, make sure your name, date of birth, and BVN match.

How to check the status of NPower C2 deployment

To check your Npower Batch C2 status, make sure you always check your Npower Nasims portal www.nasims.gov.ng using your Naspower email and password.

Note that you can use the Npower USSD code to check the status of your deployment on the NASIM portal.

Below are guidelines on how to check your NPower application, verification, and installation status online;

In the posting details, you will be asked to download your NPower deployment letter and go to your PPA for physical verification.

Remember, if you can't find the "Download PPA Letter" in your NASIM dashboard, make sure you aren't posted as a Npower C2 beneficiary. But if you see the download PPA letter, click on it and download it to your phone or laptop.

Once you have successfully completed the download, go to the nearest cyber cafe or business center to get a printout from a hard copy of your Npower PPA letter.

Then, the next step is to go over your PPA with your deployment letter. Remember PPA means the place of the initial assignment.

Once you have reached your PPA, you will need to submit a letter of appointment to the officers in charge of your initial appointment (PPA) for viewing, signing, and stamping.

Your Npower deployment letter will be accepted or rejected by your PPA officer. If it is accepted, it is now your Npower acceptance letter and if it is rejected, it is now your Npower rejection letter.

It is good to know the difference between an NPower acceptance letter and a rejection letter so that you do not make any mistakes while receiving your PPA.

The difference between an NPower PPA letter, acceptance letter, and a rejection letter

The Npower PPA letter is a deployment letter given to all successfully deployed Npower volunteers who now serve as beneficiaries of the Npower program.

Beneficiaries will be taken to the place of initial assignment (PPA) by downloading the PPA / Establishment letter.

The Npower Acceptance Letter is the same PPA letter, but when your PPA is filled, signed, stamped, and accepted by the Npower Focal Person, it is called a Npower Acceptance Letter.

The duly filled, signed and stamped acknowledgment letter will be uploaded by the beneficiary on the Npower NASIMS portal.

But if the same letter is rejected by the Npower Focal Person in your PPA, it is called a Npower Rejection Letter.

Note that volunteers can accept or reject their PPA letter to the officers in their PPA if they do not feel comfortable in the PPA.

Remember, if you are rejected, you will have to choose a re-employment letter which will be uploaded to the NASIM portal along with your rejection letter.

If you are confused, the letter of authority for re-employment is a letter given to the beneficiaries who wish to be re-employed in another PPA.

If you have a PPA that you would like to post, you are advised to visit that PPA, receive an acceptance letter, and upload it along with your rejection letter.

After that, apply for re-employment. This process will take 24-48 hours for your re-employment.
