For all the bikers out there – Ever thought of donating your old bike that never gets used? Here is your opportunity:

May Bike Drive

Donate your unwanted and abandoned bikes, bike parts, trailers and more and earn good bike karma this May!

Your donations help to keep Bike Works running by keeping their library of parts fully stocked and help to teach volunteers hands-on, employable skills. Used kids bikes are given a full tune-up and safety check, and then get donated to community partners.

Donations can be dropped off at Bike Works during public weekend hours or at the Young Welcome Centre during daytime public hours or you can also write to bikeworks@evergreen.ca to arrange for pick-up.

Drop-in DIY Bike Repairs

May 12–October 7, 2012
Saturdays and Sundays 10am–6pm
Cost: Pay What You Can plus parts, Suggested donation of $7 per hour

Bike Works is open to the public for DIY repairs and bike rentals. Bring your bike by the shop, and we’ll provide the space and the tools. We’ll also have helpful volunteers on hand to assist you!

This coming weekend is your opportunity to get rid of it! Bring your old toasters, curling irons, computers, cellphones – anything with an electrical cord or battery to the Green Living Show this weekend and get into the show for free.

If you are like me, often times I resort to gift cards as a present – they take a lot of worry out of shopping, especially if you happen to have teenagers at home
