Terror Attack on CRPF Camp in Srinagar on March 13,2013

Before India starts to forget 26/11 attack on Mumbai, terror attack continued its spree in Pune, Hyderabad and now in Srinagar. This is the first suicide attack on kashmir since 2010. Group of millitants on March 13 stormed a CRPF camp in Bemina area of Srinagar, killing five Jawans and injuring seven of them.

Atlast the two millitants were killed. Police officials said that it was not clear whether there were two or three millitants who attacked CRPF camp.

The CRPF camp at Bemina is surrounded by the Police Public School and many government buildings. However, the school was closed due to strike called by seperatists in support of their demand for return of mortal remains of parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal guru.

Dashrath Manjhi - A Man who moved mountain

I completed my lunch and was going to the cubicle; on the way I've met few of my friends who were discussing of “A Man who moved mountains”.I thought, either it must be a movie or else some novel they might be discussing and moved on. One of my friend came to me and started the same topic, I ignored him saying – “what a cartoon act, no more movie discussions”. He laughed at me and said, “It is the fact not a story”.

Mountain man – Dashrath Manjhi

Whatever the subject is, it looks like unbelievable and extra-ordinary, but it is the true story. Gehlour is a village in Bihar, which is surrounded by hills on four sides. The courage of late-Dashrath Manjhi is been told as bedtime stories to the children. People from the Gehlour village need to travel all-around the hill to reach the adjacent city Wazirganj to purchase groceries.

Dashrath Manjhi had a farm and to get firewood for his daily usage, he used to go to the top of the hill. His wife Paguni Devi used to climb up the hill to serve food and water to her husband. One day during her way to top, she fell and broke the pot which contains water and food. She was injured and broke her ankle. In order to hospitalize her, they need to cross the hill or take a 75 km path around the hill. Due to the hilly path, she was not able to make till hospital.

The day when this incident happened, he said to hill that “how you broke the pot, in the same way I’m going to break you”. He sold his goats and bought a hammer & chisel. He started to hammer the 300-feet-high hill; in the beginning villagers thought that, “he has become mad”. Manjhi moved his hut near to the hill, so that he could work day and night. He moved stone by stone for 22 years and achieved his unimaginable task of creating a way of 1km to the villagers through the hill. In 2007 Dashrath Manjhi has passed away due to cancer.

I pay my humble tribute to Dashrath Manjhi. May his soul rest in peace.

On March 23rd,2012, I have received iPhone as a gift from my Dad. An awesome phone with a capacity of 64 GB, May 1st was the date where I have started using the phone after undergoing a dilemma whether to use the phone or not. After showing it to my colleagues and friends I have came to know about - how to use the phone effectively.

Temple Run was the first app that I have installed on my phone. I have started exploring different iPhone apps for daily usage. Gradually I became an app phreak. It was The Microsoft Photosynth (app) that drove me crazy and made me fall in love with the Apps of iOS. Hours have passed by exploring the app and by taking different panoramas.

I have searched over the net for the must have apps of iPhone. And after having them installed on my phone I felt as if 'I am having a 100 crore check in my pocket'. These apps are just amazing and these help you in a way beyond your imagination. The Advantage of smart phone is not that you are having a costly phone or you are having it as a piece of show. It is the usage that makes your phone smart. In this post I will share you my experience with the Apps that I have explored and will provide you with some review of the apps. I will also suggest you some apps that you would need for better living.

1.Times of India(TOI)

The Times of India, which is one of the largest circulated daily,is an established Indian daily.This app has been a gorgeous one with good interface and readability. Navigation from a section of news to the other is very easy. Apart from that there are several sections to provide you industry related information.

A bad news for Wrestling lovers that International Olympics Committee had decided to remove it from 2020 Olympics. The IOC in the process of renovation ,had conducted secret voting and based on the results they will decide which games to be retained and which one needs to be removed.The main factors that contribute for the decision are TV rating, Sale of tickets, regulation methods of doping, the worldwide players enthusiastic participation and the following of people etc.,.

Wrestling ,which is a combination of Free Style and Greek- Roman, is a historical game and it is part of Olympic games since 1896.There is also a widespread rumor that the decision of IOC will be influenced by the higher authorities if their countries are less in participation and medals number is low. Modern Pentathlon which was supposed to be removed is continuing in Olympic sports. The committee when assembles again in St. Peters Berg in the year end will decide which game to be included. One day, There was a discussion between colleagues regarding novels and their importance in our daily life. As I never read a novel, I was numb and silent at the discussion. I was so impressed with the statements of one of my colleague, she shared the experience of her sister that how books have become an integral part of her life.

This is the first thought of her opinion:

Reading is one habit that everyone should cultivate. It not only enhances one's thought processes but also helps as a stress buster.

I have been an ardent reader all my life I have read books of various kinds from comics to story books to novels journals you name and I have read it I am very fond of reading women’s writing and Jhumpa Lahiri my favorite writer her work “The Namesake: A Novel” changed my view that I have towards the life of a woman which at the end of it boils down to the surname she holds at that point in time. Her relationships, feelings nothing is given the importance it deserves only because she is a woman and with her everything is OK

I love reading stories which has a little of fun, romance and suspense in it. Jeffery Archer, Sydney Sheldon, Nicholas Sparks are a few authors which I would love reading at any time anywhere.

Reading helps me unwind; it gives me an opportunity to look at things from a different point of view. I have fun reading books and treat them as an integral part in my life.

In my school days (i.e.) when I was in fifth class I guess, one of my teacher said – In many parts of the world, people are buying water for their daily use.Our whole class started to laugh and we started even commenting that

Parkinson's - Sign and symptoms

The details of the disease - Parkinson, the nerve cells of human body uses a chemical called 'Dopamine' which is used for communication from brain to other parts of body. This dopamine is produced in mid membrane of the brain and slowly as the production of this chemical gets reduced, the communication of brain messages through nerve cells also gets reduced and henceforth, person cannot move his muscles as and when he wants.

The cause for decline in dopamine productivity is 'Unknown'. Doctors say, genetic origin is also a reason and exposure to environmental toxins,certain pesticides contributes to PD (Parkinson's disease). Major symptoms include, imbalance in movement of body, shaky legs and hands, difficulty in swallowing, slow blinking, decrease of expressions through face, and as it goes to advanced state, person will loss control of his body, will be affected to Alzheimer's(forget things often) and will be completely dependent on someone.

The news came into picture because the disease is less affected in India when compared to other countries. But recently, there is threatening rise in number of new cases getting diagnosed every month who are under the age of 40.

Last week when I visited my home for a weekend holiday, I came to know that a distant friend of mine committed suicide.It shook me so much because, I find no apparent reason. She is a home maker with a caring husband and lovely children, a boy of thirteen and a cute little girl turning into 5 this year. When I inquired about the reason of her suicide, I came to know that, boy has some rare disease and no one explained clearly what that disease is!!

The vague idea about the disease is, as he gets older he will loss his muscle control and could not stand, walk , or move his hands by himself. When asked for cause of this disease, doctors mentioned that it's due to genetic disorders that occurred because the couple were cousins of the same family tree. To mention here, the boy is so healthy that no one will believe he is diagnosed of this unknown disease.

Years later, very recently the little girl also got diagnosed of the same disease and her mother was so depressed and decided to end up her life. I was so angry when I heard this, the only reason of my anger is, how could she leave alone those children when they are really in need of her!!!

I have to start again to Hyderabad for my work and completely forgot the incident. Yesterday, when I was going through Times of India, I noticed a headline "Parkinson's no more a disease of the Old". I was not much attracted to it but later, went into details of the article. I was surprised because it is about the same disease by which those two children got diagnosed. It drew whole of my attention and whole morning hours I was fully occupied surfing the articles related to Parkinson. Soon I'll come up with the details of the disease.

When my friend told me to read about Sunitha Krishnan, the first thought I got into my mind is she might be a person related to some kind of art. I have started with the video of her which is a TED talk show. The introduction of the video is utterly shocking, that children of youngest age 3 and 4 are being raped. I barely know that innocent children are forced to such activities, but never thought that they were so little. I got really moved when Sunitha was saying about these children.

She herself was a victim and the decision that she made to move on was really inspiring. Most dynamic thing is, she had not only moved her life ahead, she tried to save many other victims and for that she started an organization by name 'PRAJWALA' , which rescues sexually abused exploited women, children who are forced for sex trafficking.The Organization did not stop with rescuing, but provides shelter, educational services to prostitute's children, vocational training to women to build up the confidence and move on with their life.

When she said,"The biggest challenge I face is from the Society, because no one wants to accept them", it didn't mean much to me. But when she was narrating an example, I got to know the true sense of that words. Yes, there are very few people who wants to accept them and let them be part in our society.The society's perception should change, they are victims and they should be given space and chance to live normal life without which they find no other way and many end up their lives.

She shared the same thing when hosting for Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate'. Even in the book named Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, author have described how the cultural customs are blocking the empowerment of such victims and the role played Sunitha Krishnan in minimizing those gaps in society and her brave work in rescuing the victims. She has her own blog, where she shares her activities. Sunitha Krishnan, Narayanan Krishnan and many people in India have dedicated their life to rescue the hopeless in the society.

Alternate Routes from Malaysian Township circle to DLF Gachibowli

Usually I wake up early in the morning and start to office at 8AM from the apartment where I live. It takes hardly half an hour to reach DLF – Gachibowli (my workplace) from the bus stop. As we all know, getting into the bus at peak hours is not possible in major cities of India and the alternative to reach office in time is either, we need to have our own vehicle or get an auto-rickshaw which is available in every corner of the street.

Major problem in the city – Transport

The problems with the autos in Hyderabad are, until unless the auto is full of people, driver is not going to start his auto – we need to be patient enough and wait for people. Secondly, we need to sit beside the driver if backseat is full and bad part is ‘the auto drivers are so impatient and never care of how they drive because we’ll be protecting him as bodyguards in front‘. After we reach our destination with that horrible journey another surprise awaits from the auto driver, which is ‘he’ll be charging you extra if traffic on the street is more, saying that we spent a lot of time in the auto comfortably sitting and listening to the music played in it’.

Alternate route to office by a fat guy - Bicycle

So, I decided to find alternate route to my office from the Malaysian Township circle to DLF. I’m little bit fat and to reduce my weight, thought of cycling and purchased a BSA-Hercules gear less bicycle and started to go to office by bicycle. The way to office is like, I need to bicycle an half a kilometre which is in an angle of 20 degrees high from the ground and it is so tough. Next half a kilometre is sloped down and it’s so relaxing that I don’t need to pedal. In such a manner, I need to pedal almost twelve to thirteen kilometres to reach office and it takes 50 minutes from Malaysian township. For a month I used my bicycle and again problem of traffic didn’t stop bothering me, I was unable to cross the junctions using bicycle and stopped using it, as it is tough to pedal elevated path for almost 6kms in the way.

Alternate route to office by a fat guy - RTC

There are frequent buses in the route of JNTU – VBIT for every half an hour and in peak time for every fifteen minutes. As I need to go to DLF – Tech Park from Malaysian township circle, I need to get down at Hitech city and need to take an auto to DLF. So to avoid autos, I found an alternate route. There is a bus from JNTU – Mehidipatnam (126M) where we can get down at cross roads of Hitech - Gachibowli and get another bus to ‘IIIT – Hyderabad’ from where DLF is hardly 5 minutes’ walk. As 126M is not so frequent and coming back to home became tough in that route.

Alternate route to office by a fat guy - MMTS

The Multi Modal Transport System trains are convenient and cheap. Get a smart card and get rid of standing in lengthy queue for tickets. I planned to use MMTS facility available nearer to my place. It takes 10 minutes to Hitech station if we take an auto from Malaysian township circle and planned to get down at Lingampally railway station from where get an RTC bus. The journey time is approximately 45 minutes. As usual, I don’t want to use auto for transportation and started to use my bicycle to reach station and park it there. Every station has parking service for which they charge monthly and I return back in the same way by RTC bus-> MMTS-> bicycle to reach my apartment.

Flat for Sale @ KPHB 6th Phase - Hyderabad

I guess, you might have queried for “Flats for sale” or “Properties at Hyderabad” or “Anonymous visitor of the blog and landed on city info” so for some reason you are here now. Whoever you might be; today I’m here to provide information on “Flats for sale @ KPHB 6^th Phase - Hyderabad”. I guess the information which I’m posting now, might not be valid for so long time. I was strolling along some street and picked up some pictures, posting it now. I’m not an advertiser or promoter of an agency. I’m just providing information for those who are in need.

Location of Apartment

Coming to the location, KPHB (KukatPally Housing Board Colony) 6^th phase is exactly where the apartment is located in Hyderabad; the pinpoint location is, after you reach the circle from JNTU there are five diversions around it. In clock wise direction, each diversion leads to KPHB brand factory, DMART, HITECH city, KPHB 9^th phase and KPHB 6^th phase respectively. If you take the lane of KPHB 9^th phase and proceed, on the right side you’ll find many banks and at last you’ll find Corporation bank (i.e.) after 5minutes and a road beside it is the one you need to follow; which is perpendicular to the lane you’ve come. You’ll find the apartment at the end of the path.

Nayak Movie Review

Much awaited movie for this Sankranthi Nayak is out. Overall it is an above average movie with lots of comedy. Nayak is a Comedy Entertainment with an action packed second half.

Plot:

Movie starts with a kidnap of four people from a Slum in Kolkata. Later these people were taken to an abandoned area and then tortured by a member in the Villians Troop.The Victim is the Brother of Rawat(Pradeep Rawat) . The entire sketch is to catch their leader (Charan). Charan then rescues his team mates and then escapes from kolkata. Asish Vidyarthy then takes the charge of Investing this case and then he comes to know that they are planning another murder in Hyderabad.

Story then shifts to Hyderabad and here comes Charan(Screen Name-Cherry) in a different Style. His Maternal Uncle(Brahmi) enters the scene in a funny style narrating a funny story. He reveals that he has threat from Babji(Rahul Dev). Later Charan meets babji a local goonda in Hyd. And this entire scenario is similar to Krishna movie. Meanwhile Cherry breaks a chain of human mafia in hyderabad where children are forced to beg in the city. He will be in the news for this reason.Kaajal is the sister of Babji. And later Cherry falls in love with her. Knowing this Babji and Team plans to murder Cherry and follows him and he moves to Police Quarters. When they were about to kill him Cherry shoots DGP and DGP dies on Spot. Babji and his team goes in to concussion. Kaajal then expresses her love towards Cherry and Babji scared of Cherry Agrees to it. Asish Vidyarthi then tries to crack the mystery and finds Babji team in DGP Office at the time of murder through CC Cameras. He calls them for investigation and then comes to know about cherry. Asish along with his Police team goes on for a search for Cherry and then comes to know through Brahmanandam that they have left for Kumbhamela. Parallelly he also comes to know that Pradeep Rawat also left for Kumbhamela. Asish then takes Brahmi along with him to Kumbhamela and finds Cherry there. Mean while Pradeep Rawat, who went for a river bath will be attacked by Nayak (Replica of Charan- Double Action). All the characters then come to know that there is an another Guy similar to Cherry or Vice Versa. Asish then by giving an electric shock arrests nayak while pradeep rawat is hospitalized. Here comes the Intermission.

Cherry, while returning back to Hyderabad comes to know about Nayak. Nayak comes to Kolkata for his Exams. He stays in his Sister’s House. Rajeev Kanakala by profession is a doctor and is nayak’s brother in law. Pradeep rawat is a minister in Kolkata. He heads a maphia gang in Kolkata and is responsible for all the Maphia Activities in Kolkata. Kota Srinivasa Rao is an another minister in his State. Mean while a teenage girl is admitted in his hospital for taking drugs. After examning her and talking to her parents he comes to know that she was one of the Victim of Human Trafficking.

With all the Proofs Rajeev kanakala tries to file a police complaint and Pradeep Rawats younger brother (Ranadev Billa in Magadheera) kills him. Knowing this Nayak kills him and his team involved in human trafficking in front of a mass crowd near a temple. He then becomes a leader gradually and then rises against the evil forces in Kolkata. Knowing this Pradeep Rawat kills kota and then pushes the blame on nayak . He then hurts him and throws him into a River. He then escapes and tries to murder all the remaining culprits. The DGP killed in hyd was also a part of Pradeep Rawats Team. Knowing this Cherry heads towards Kolkata and meets charan. When Nayak was produced in court, Cherry too enters the scene and says he is the real Nayak and therefore creates a confusion. The rest of the story is the Elimination of Pradeep Rawat and his Team.

Overall, Nayak is an above average Movie with loads of Fun and Comedy.
