New Blog Design How Easy Is That Now

After long time without blogging - starting again next year - I wanted to test the new Facebook Badge and found the new template editor. Well, apart from that I must change this badge before I apply it for good, I am really happy about the dead easy design possibilities!

No more hunting for better templates (well, there are some that look chicer, but all this customizing takes away too much time from blogging)
3 colums! - how hard was it to find such templates , and specially such that really work with the funtional elements of the sidebar. Now one can even alternate between wide and narrow boxes. This is just perfect.

For now, I'll go on checking the functions. What I'd like, and what never worked in the past, is different fonts for the body and sidebar. Of course I must first go through the posts and check, why some are normal, others in much too big letters... .

Another novelty: I just see I'm in IE now - and it works! after for a long time I could not even log in with IE.

What is different after publishing this test post?

It needs 2 returns after a paragraph.
The headline is grey now - must make it blue again, like the old ones.
I don't find the post too narrow anymore, so no need to change this in the HTML, as I had to do before, cool.

Oh oh, I must change the formatting of every old post individually, and in different ways. Might do this later, but who reads them anyway.
Arranging widgets... . That's it for now. Re-arranging the sidebar- and new footer-widgets will take some time and consideration ... . Going to do that later. There are two possible wide sectins, and only one with two narrow columns, which unfortunately can't be split. (or can I change the Html, so this works? Forbidden thought for me, would take ages again... .

Establishing an Internet Presence

Whatever you want to do to make money online – don’t believe there are any shortcuts. The majority of all those “dead sure five step action plans” that are around only work on the basis of solid Internet Presence.
This is real hard work, and it will take some time until it is done. Some more time until it gets known. But is has to be done only once.

1. Building a primary homepage and blog
with personal domain and hosting

– absolutely NOthing free - for introducing Yourself and your business(es) likewise.

2. Set up business- and advertising- sites and pages.

Have them ready before you start advertsing and step 5

3. Set up a blog for your offer or your niche at the same time.

Network Marketers: Set up two separate blogs. Treat your niche /
offer and your business opportunity as two different things.

4. Advertise and start building your list.

         Advertise your own sites / pages which carry your offers of
         affiliate products, so visitors can return to you and you can build
         your own list, not the vendor’s. Keep the traffic you create for
         yourself as far as possible.

5. Unify your appearance on the Web 2.0,

        so that people always know it is you.
        The “link to your homepage” should really be to one of your
        homepages even if affiliate-links are allowed. It gives a better
        impression, traffic, maybe back links, even page rank for you.

You're done - half ways

Now you can relax a bit, but there is still much work to do:

Permanent advertising for traffic.
Email Marketing
Article Marketing
Tracking visitors for referring sites and keywords
Tracking ads for effectiveness
Blogging regularily
Refreshing websites
Optimizing websites
Linkbuilding
…

This list is actually almost endless, but when getting into the routine, you can do it without getting exhausted. Autopilot traffic, for instance, does exist.
Warning to newbies, who believe “you don’t need a website”:
At least half of the work is in vain, when there is no concentration of traffic and visitors to one or few unique centers which you own and control. Even a “personalized website”, which in most cases differs just in some appended affiliate id from the thousand others is not enough. A simple redirect or sub domain from your own domain can do magic.

Multiply - Relativly new Community-Platform, recommended by MSN to Replace Groups

This is actually just a Test for cross-posting between Multiply und Blogger.
Here on Multiply they have an interesting Blog-Function: You can import all your Blogs into the Blog here. (testing Blogger now.) Lately I imported all my feeds into swurl.com/spacelady, and into friendfeed of course, like everyone does.
But from Multiply one can also cross-post back to the imported blog. Of course it would be nonsense to post the same content to every blog one has. One can select which posts to import and edit them also, and the export is selective too. I think it is ideal for a blogger with several blogs to be able to manage them all in one place. A kind of "Metablog" (I tried on Bloglines, but it did not work.)
I wished, I could find such a system for WordPress - or is there a plugin I just cannot find?
One of these appliances one can post to everywhere is ping.fm - but this only for microblogs and profile messages.
Test 3: Now I must look, if it is an RSS feed and this here post is automatically re-imported.
Test 2 was: does the draft save to the recipient-blog? - No, it does not, must be published first.
Test 3: No, it is not an automatical feed, and it must be imported manually, and it is kind of tedious to uncheck all the posts you already have imported or did not want to in the first place.
Still it is cool to be able to post to two blogs at the same time - for me, when I post bilangual, and for everyone who talks about the same thing under slightly different aspects in more than one blog.
Hmm - for those who might think now it would be a good idea to quickly set up multiple Blogs and blast out 25 times the same... NO!!
This would be exactly the useless spam that brought about the Google-slap against Squidoo 2 years ago. A blogpost should always be unique. This convenient posting to more than one blog in one go should be considered as a kind of social bookmarking of an idea in advance, like you would normally do bookmark an exerpt in various places after a post is finished.

There is still this issue with new marketers being over-eager to learn and practise the newest advertising techniques and -widgets. - And before they have learned to stop all this black hat Social Network/Media Optimization I am currently having an issue with, it will probably be too late...
Social Marketing is just starting - when will the death of social marketing be proclaimed? - because the Spammers, as always, were quicker, and the social media are already over-alert, on the way to condemn and ban by short every blogger or writer for daring to submit her/his own his own article anywhere? Sometimes I almost feel incriminated as an online marketer, and specially in Germany this is very strong.
What would the final result be? Web 2.0 filled with superficial soap opera - and stuffed with hollow commercials. Shouting BUY!! will be everywhere, and information about what exactly and why strictly forbidden.
But as Seth Godin's footnote says...

Some Facts about Traffic Exchanges (pt 1)

I just joined a brand new Traffic Exchange, and I even consider an upgrade, (cheap Founders Offer, not OTO before one saw anything,) which I hardly ever do, cause surfing does not harm me that much (while I watch TV and occasionally really want to concentrate on that, or one of my former chat friends calls me.)

If you notice what a chance this is, don't read on and act right away.

If you ask yourself, why would anyone bother to show the sites to about 20 people, is that worth while? -
Here are the main reasons:

Fact 1:
For more exposure and credits and less clicking You MUST BUILD A DOWNLINE.
Now imagine, you are in a huge TE like, WebBizInsider

There are over 100.000 Members now! I wonder, if anyone is not in
there yet... and one simply Can NOT Build a Downline there anymore :-( ,
unless one buys it.

I'm a bit angry with myself for not getting the idea to join a brand new
TE for this reason, when Dragon Surf launched - and oh, it has grown soo huge so fast! (15.000) (just not for me)

Now I check my theory about joining a brand new program right at the top.

10 sec timer, ratio pro:1:1, free 2:3 - it is designed to be a pro exchange,
and with the low price he asks for the first 200, the owner has not really worked
out free conditions, but I checked -(it is a principle for me to never join anything paid before I see it's good and before I see I can earn the promised
commissions - I could as a free member of Super Surf System , just they are held back until I upgrade ( and thus get the price back), and are only for the first level. (you might know my issue with those downline programs, that never pay free members - more here: http://sabinering.de/list.html ).
Support and Site-Approval super fast.

Fact 2:
How long do you WATCH all those sites you see?
Only when they can catch your eye while you find the correct button to
click - this is perhaps under a second. (Sound mostly just goes on your
nerves, video has perhaps not even loaded.)

This may be different in Blog Exchanges, where one also goes to browse other blogs, but sure not for a 10 or 15 sec. timer.

So - that is 2b actually - The Surfbar matters as well. Everyone is afraid about automatized clicking, so complicated letter codes or micro pictures have to be matched and everyone stares at the surfbar to not lose a click on the wrong symbol, or concentrates to get the correct answer to a however simple, but unexpected question.

This is ok in the Super Surf System , here are 4 coloured squares, and an occasional code.

But fact 2 remains, more or less, the sites flash by, nobody really watches them. and however many members there are, it is not that 100.000 see your site, and even if so, it would be 1 in 200, 300.000 at least.

I suppose, the only time one does look at the other sites is, when you are new to a traffic exchange and want to know, what is going on there in general.

Only 18 Members yet at Super Surf System while I write.
I still believe it's worth while joining this early, consider:

- New members will be streaming in and they must surf 50 sites to activate
- they will definitely see your sites among those few that exist up to now
- and, as it is advisable to check out what the others are showing when you join, they will probably do it.

That makes sense, don't you think? And it costs nothing to take the test.
(But watch the numbers closely, it would be a shame to miss the chance to log this launch price - and the numbers will multiply quicker every hour now) - oops 25 already! after 20 Minutes!

I don't know, how many are in when you read this - look for yourself, if you can still get in at the top! Super Surf System Good luck !

Awsome Video! I thought I knew quite a bit about Web2.0.... but this video + report reveals so much more. - Well, a lot of work and time to be spent, but now I know it will not be wasted. Don really pushed me foreward.

I don't know how to give a short overview of all the contents...
Main point: Web2.0 is more powerful than SEO - but remember, Leverage can work in both directions - one must do it right.

I just wished, the company I am - well, a customer of -, did not restrict access to their new modern internet resources to those who have an enourmously high monthly sales volume.

It makes me so angry, that I, the simple distributor, am not entitled to build a downline for myself (I'm sure welcomed to work for my upline though) - and also the only useful tools to attract customers online are kept from me.

As an internet affiliate marketer, I spend most time of the day (and night) working at the computer, and I guess, Im not the only one. Specially when we do homebusiness, many of us tend to neglect our figure. And we do not realize that we get big and bigger round the waist, hips, and upper legs, until one day we want to wear something we did not wear for some time, and then the zip does not close...
