Just finished theTV series from HBO, The Wire.  This is probably the best tv shows I have ever seen. I love crime stories and this stuff just f*cking keeps giving with the characters, the atmoshphere and the story lines in each season. Anyway just went on a TV-series weekend marathoh, finished both season 4 and season 5.  It doesn’t look there will a season 6 but I just keep praying. The theme is one of the things that got me watching it, and each season has the same lyrics but with different artists on the voice.

My favorite characters have to be Omar, Bodie, Snoop, McNulty, Avon Barksdale, Mike, Chris and Weebay.  Saddest moment has to be when Snoop got shot by Mike and she asks him … “HOW MY HAIR LOOK MIKE?” …then he says…”YOU LOOK GOOD GIRL.”

Anyway,  recommend you watch it.

I’m so glad; it’s been 2 years since I have been to Tunisia. My mum prevented me from going and wanted to me to focus on my studies, done things in Tunisia which upset her and spent a lot of money on junk. It’s been nearly a month since I moved house. First my old ISP calls and says that someone has cancelled the original contract and I have to sign a new one … all good with 3 month free and pay less than new customers ( I been with them for 5 years – so VIP) who can complain. Now they keep emailing saying, that there is already a broadband service in the house … which isn’t the case. I called BT, they denied there is any broadband and I am in a loop hole of just calling all division of BT. I got through to a guy, from India … called … wait for it… Jason Clayton. Anyway that didn’t help. Finally, I got to someone who has a clue; they said I have a ‘tag’ on my line, meaning my original ISP didn’t remove the ‘tag’ they had on my line. He was transferring me to the right person then hangs up on me. Back to step one.Random Posts:

It looks like I will be without Internet for another two weeks. After getting a phone lines installed in my new house for £120 and thinking that keeping the same number means just connect and go. That wasn’t the case, having the same number doesn’t mean you get the service my ISP provides.

When I could be revising or doing assignments, I’m wasting my time browsing the Internet in boredom. Anyway, I like the idea of Bookmarklets as they offer space for  another service on your browser. What I created was for personal usage and if it doesn’t work for you then I can’t help.

Reason:
I join a lot of website and some require activation of my email. I hate the fact that I have to open another tab and then typing the address. Also faster alternative for checking mail on apps.

How to use:

-  When logging out, because I’m using the mobile version of football the service redirects you to the main page – what you do is close it and it will auto-log-out you.

Well just one monitor and my HP laptop. Yesterday (Sunday), I went to the computer fair.  I walked there with Sheful - we got lost and walked for 30 minutes past the fair. Anyway – came back with a 20 inch LG monitor.

Dual Screens or monitors – are just so much fun and makes doing work is much easier (Copying from Wikipedia ). I’m planning to build a new computer, I haven’t played decent gaming since my old desktop which I sold… My dad got me a shitty old HP Pentium 4 from work. I will be using that as a my wireless storage – which really sounds cool.

Work for the past two weeks has been a blast, boring at times and painful but never the less its work.Yesterday after the computer fair, I had to go to a Tunisian-Iraqi engagement party, which was more  like a wedding not an engagement. Few pictures, taken with my Sony Ericsson of both the wedding and me working on the switches at work ( Good mix right?).

Google’s Gmail is an ever growing Email service. I found a simple app, which makes usage of the space on offer and turns in into a storage/backup service for your daily usage. I have been using the app for around a year and has served as a backup to my college work and pictures. Also you can search, login to your gmail and search your mail – because each file you upload will  be shown as email.

All you need is a Gmail account and I recommend you making a new account because all your inbox will ramped  with the files you uploaded.

I went to catch Watchmen yesterday and it was epic (Even with my blocked nose), I Never read the comic book but it was just a fantastic piece of acting,  cinematic composition, effects, choreography and story.  The sound track in the intro is amazing and the sound tracks across the movie are well fitting. I’m not good at reviewing movies, but I will upload the segment of the intro – just 20 minutes left on the torrent and you will see.

Looks like I am going to King’s College London (KCL) – which is a university not a college. After getting all my offeres, came the time to really decide either KCL or Queen Mary.  I really wanted Queen Mary but it couldn’t be my insurance due to them wanting the same grades as KCL.

I will be doing Computer Science with Management – why? because I want to be in managing role- dealing with the business side and also have the  technical knowledge.

Anyway, KCL will hopefully be much better. It’s ranked between 5th and 10th in the UK depending where you look and 22nd/25th in the world.  Which means I can walk around bragging. Also went with my friend who is doing his first year in KCL and it just looks really welcoming and fun. The social life is nice with 50+ societies – with like 4 I can probably get into… Islam(probably not because I don’t want to involve in religion), Africans and Caribbeans ( I’m not black – this one might be a no – although I am African), Arab, probably football and other weird ones.Most importantly 30 minutes from my house, which is closer than my college which takes me around 45 minutes on bus.

In an ideal world with a more understanding mum, I would of wanted Leicester University why? I use to live there  and the course really fits me with each module. I promised myself – if I fail at KCL I will change to Leicester.

I need to improve my maths *:shy:*  , learn java *:sick:*  and get the grades for this year .

Since yesterday after reading from Nizar’s blog about Spotify, I couldn’t believe my luck. I had millions of tracks in hands but there was a problem. I couldn’t change between tracks when the application minimized in the systray or taskbar. Being the wanabe programmer that I am, I made a simple “plugin”/application which will switch to next, previous track and even pause.

The “plugin”/application makes use of keyboard keys which for long might have been un-used. Currently there are only three functions and if I have time I will add more. Also you won’t notice the application as it’s running in the background and it can be stop by ending the process in the task manager. Also the application isn’t installable so I’m leaving the location of where to sort the application up to you and you add it to start with your system again all at your options.

Background info:
Some people can change tracks using their Laptop or desktop keyboard functions – but no everyone has those magic tricks. I created this for my brother.

You must have read the story of the 13 year old dad, so I won’t go on much about the past.

But today in the gym, I picked up the newspaper and there was the kid again – but this time it’s a whole different story. Two other boys have emerged stating that they have slept with the 15 year old girl. This really shows how much of a whore she is. She slept with a 12 year old and two other kids.

British society is broken as you never hear such thing coming from France. Just have to look at social networks like Myspace or Bebo to really see how broken Britain is, and how much the sex culture has messed the children of the future. Britain will lose to the minorities who come from other countries with better family values and culture. Heck even gypsies.

Yesterday if you follow me on Twittter you would-of known that I sold my air Force 1’s ( Need to remove it from the header). I just didn’t feel right with an extra inch or two, plus they got a bit dirty and moving away from the baggy “gangsta” stuff. Although I wanted the shoes for a while and they were just out of my price-range.

I went out and this time it was either another Adidas Superstar, Air Max 90’s (although too expensive)  or Lacoste.

Although it’s a bit wet in London I can wait a while to wear them. They are just so nice and amazing. Setting me back a good amount of money, but it was spare money saved  from 2 months of relatives visiting and no going out.

I really don’t have anything to blog about and it’s just been hard trying to Hench-up up for summer … cousins getting married in Tunisia. Also OMG sauna is just amazing … feeling too light right now … all most high.

Some people have weird addictions and I am one of them. I don’t smoking(excl. Shisha), drinking (religion) nor eat chocolates (No man has periods). Anyway recent years, a new chicken shop has opened in my area and its called “Sam’s”, it’s cheaper than all the 10 different alternative companies. They have this meal that you get 2 burgers for half the price with two bags of chips (which I swap for drinks).

My “photography” skills are getting there, why do all(most) bloggers love Macs and like photography?

Recently  I have convinced myself that Google Reader is something which I should start using. I haven’t properly blogged for a very long time and this blog hasn’t been personal is quite some time. Life has been busy with assignments day-in and out, also having to pick a university – calculating cost, interest, people and how much money they give is driving me nuts.

I have been working on 5 different assignments and I’m about to finish them but just the last part is so hard and lonnnng. I need latest version of Word, because Word 2004 is just rubbish and pirated Mac software is hard to come by.  Also pirated version of iWork 2009 came with a Trojan.

I’ve been working out and trying to get in shape for university.

So that’s my life haven’t been out properly in long time. I recommend (like it matters) Assassins Creed, sword fighting is too much fun. I haven’t played Xbox in a long time, due to dad coming late from work and just watching Aljazeera and we have family from Tunisia around.

Looking through Youtube, found a  video of a guy who’s father Sheikh Hassan Yousef "established" Hamas. He also converted to Christianity and thinks we Muslims are sick. It really bothers me when some calls my religion a drug, I won’t go on a rampage so don’t worry. I so badly want to beat the shit out this guy. He gets out of the West Bank, goes to America and gets to stay there so simply, how the hell can this be so? with his background Israel would have killed him on the border. But no … he gets out, goes to America and talks shit! for real this MotherFucker is a fucking agent.

He saw Zionists( Not Jews, just that we are clear) kill his people and still thinks Hamas are the terrorist … WTF is documentary. I really don’t care about what religion he converts in and it couldn’t harm me less, but to go on FoxNews(right wing whore) and sell out your religion and people … Motherfucker should get slapped.

Looking at Hamas’s Wikipedia, I have found nothing about Sheikh Hassan Yousef being a leader or anything for that matter.

Twitkeys isn’t much of an application but me messing around with Adobe Air. What I done is take the idea behind TheNextWeb’s Twitterkeys and make it into a installable desktop application running on the Adobe air platform.

So what is Twitkeys?
 
Twitter accepts more than just text, its also UTF8 compatible which means that instead of tweeting "I love you" you just use “I ♥ you”. Or how about this…

“I’m going to ✈ to ☭ in the morning after I make a ☎ to make sure my ♂ is ✔ with it. ✌ for now and don’t forget to ✍ and lets have ♨ soon!”

But remembering all these can be a mouth-full, that where Twitkeys comes along.

I always dreamt of a day that, I’ll save enough money to buy the amazing invention that is fingerless gloves… As a child of-course. I don’t no why but those were like my dream purchase, I  don’t no how I never bought them. A few years ago, went to my local shop and bough myself something I wanted from my child-hood. I think I wore them like once and then thought… WTF… these don’t even keep me warm. And I looked retarded as hell.

I’m really understanding what my dad goes through when he buys cereal or goes shopping. The options are so many and when I went the other day to buy some … DAMN!!!

I was going to buy what my dad always gets the plain Kellogg corn-flakes, but that has no flavour and just dull. What I got was the … if you can see (picture) … Fruit ‘N. Really wow on the options … that picture gives no justice.

I’ve been planning to open a bank for some time, even before what happened to the world banks. Today woke up and went to my local high street, to check out some banks other than my current one. First was NatWest, all my family are with this bank. Anyway they changed the rules for opening an account, I have to put £50 and then for 3 months a payment of £12 … ARE THEY MAD?

Then I went to Nationwide, never liked this bank. They won’t open me an account because I don’t have a good earning … I’m a fucking student WTF they expecting. Ok, final bank, which was like the last on my mind … and probably the last time I ever go there, Islamic Bank of Britain. The interior design was nice but wow that bank was empty… And the woman on the counter was too jolly (Weed usage). Anyway long story short, they wanted a cheque for £500 before I can open an account.

HSBC … these guys are amazing, wanted nothing and the women serving me … was so cute and all they wanted was a proof that I am a student.

Since I had to reformat my OS … FUCK M$ … anyway going to make this fast, its 00:30 … and I’m not feeling like doing anything apart from watch some comedy to cheer me up. Anyway what I “made” is a simple desktop application which needs to be included with ‘Start killer(ST)’

What is Start Killer?

Start Killer is utility that removes the Start button from your taskbar. When you run Start Killer it remove the Start button from taskbar and give you additional space on taskbar, when you close Start Killer the Start button is again shows.

What is Wunir’s Start button?
Because ST removes the start button it can be frustrating if you you want to quickly use the mouse for the start menu. So what I created is a small application when clicked will launch the start menu as if it was the original big-ugly-space hogging-button. Watch my shitty video to understand.

I’m just so bored and this seems to be the funniest thing to do. Anyway assignments are pilling up and just starts to get to my head that I need to finish all the work quick. People is my class aren’t even worried which pisses the hell out of me. The web design assignment is no fun, as its all bullshit and just pain dull . The Java unit is cool, and I really enjoyed programming.

So today went out to buy some fruits for mum, and do you know how fucking cold it is? I really like winter but I’m not ready, I need a hat and some extra socks … hmm a lot of stuff really. I was watching Madagascar 2 which was so funny and I was searching it for my little sister; who was in Arabic school and I tend to watch all the animated cartoons she does. I also went to see ‘Sex drive’ which was an amazing Teen movie which I recommend you watch with either your BF or GF or Spouse. I’ve also seen Russell Peters stand-up’s … he is also coming to London’s o2 Arena on the 14th of February and you know what day is that? *wink* *wink*

The picture above, was  before a lesson, and just posing with my  mates. The camera setting where wrong so it wasn’t full 5mpx which is a bomber. I’m looking  a bit thin, since cutting down on the late night junking.  Took so many picture, everyone wants theirs … lol spent 1 hour sending pictures .

The above, is an iPod/iPhone touch clone which I though looked amazing for what might be the next generation of iPod/iPhones might look like. The guy said he bought it from Portugal on his summer vacation  *cough* ebay maybe. I  was playing with it for a while in the hallways waiting for the lesson … the touch screen was amazing for a knock-off, even the video quality and even features … external memory etc.

So I have been finding it so hard to write for a long time with the laptop, so went to my local cybercafe and bought a dell keyboard which is helping. Also downloaded the Akon album, which is due out December, I’m a big fan of Akon and I will buy his album as soon it comes out. I recommend the ’sunny day’ and ‘fallin in love’ tracks.

I was browsing across the Internet into some directories …and it seems you want to hear me explaining myself?

I found this amazing service called Pixlr, which is basically your Photoshop but web based and does everything like editing, adjusting and all your photo enchanting needs. Pixlr also allows users to use most of the standard keyboard shortcut keys such as “Ctrl O” to open an image, “Ctrl Z” to undo, “Ctrl C” to copy, etc. This speeds up the editing process significantly. Pixlr saves the files in either JPEG or PNG formats.

I have used this application so much in college, sometimes I just wonder how I get most of my work done with-out it. MS Paint is no fun.

I totally recommend this for quick edits as you can just enter the URL of the image and then you can go wild.

Both amazing addons with a very strong community input. I created a Userstyle which lets you make your FF tabs looks like the ones that come with Chrome. Stylish taps into FF to let CSS developers customize different aspect of the layout and content. While GreaseMonkey uses Javascript to add content to viewed pages.

I’m loving the new assignments, we at last get to do real JAVA and not so real web design. Object-Oriented Programming is going good and I’m loving it. Web design on the other hand is utter bullshit, the teacher doesn’t know crap and but let me to believe I might aim to be a teacher or not.  around 10 assingments to do.

After drinking with my mate in Starbucks (when it opened), and then with another. The guy at the cashier was rude to him for not knowing what to order, so he took two cups and gave me one.

About time right?

I been holding the change of themes for a long time and been working on this current one (see picture). I liked my old theme but it lacked style and I been messing around with the coding so much its ugly and annoying. Although I’m stilling working on the header, which seems to be the hardest thing ever. I want to thank my good friend Dilz, for most of the CSS work, I suck at CSS and just give up after a while.

Improvements:
Faster loading, all images in the sidebar are CSS.

We all know that Youtube has more music videos than iTunes. We also know most of use don’t want watch the videos and maybe want it in the background. I found this web site called Steamdrag, which offers a search function using Ajax and Access to Youtube using API.

At the start we are greeted with a typical looking web 2.0 application. We have a search box and above it some options for volume and playlist.

Hence we are still in the same. We are prompted with a list of tracks from a artist searched. The list is straight forward and easy to navigate. Next each song, we have a Play button and Plus for adding to a playlist.

We are prompted with a Flash player and hence the corner where a picture of the song is shown.

2. Playlist

You can remove or a play a track.

Conclusion
This is an amazing idea and I really like because in college Youtube is blocked. The only problem I see is that when you close the bag the playlist disappears.

Seeing that my Adidas Superstar II are getting old and other trainers don’t seem to suit my jeans or are too low.I have yet to figure what is my length. These trainers are amazing, they suit will all my old jeans and even combats. They go with shorts and all most anything.

My mum wasn’t please that they are white and I thought about getting black … but they didn’t feel like the original. Nike AF1 offer style and comfort plus few extra cm of height (big plus for me).

These are my first pair of Air Force 1.Back in school seemed everyone had them, they were expensive. Wait they are still expensive costing me £60 from Footlocker … These are most expensive trainer I bought to date.

I was going to blog about my visit to the wonderful city to Paris, but then I heard of my granddads death which was most shocking and now I lost all interest in France or anything for that matter.

My best bit about France, excluding all the buildings and objects, it has to be a little sandwich shop in my cousins area of Saint Denis.

I mean just look at how sexy that is! Another was ‘Quick’ the alternative of McDonald. The special thing about this store, you get two items for being a student. I got two Fish (hence I  only eat halal food). 
I only made this post because I’m trying to lose 5KG … 73KG now and just so hungry as I stopped myself from eating after 6. oh and I finally the audi r8 in the Audi Museum.

I have a lot of respect for all developers/companies whom make the the software that make my computing experience the best and funniest.

1. Adobe Photoshop
I’m no art guru, but I do use adobe Photoshop for my daily designs and photo-editing. I’m sure there is no need In me to go into much details because, lets face it you know what Photoshop does.

2. Intype (alpha
This probably the application which you might have no clue about, its Textmate for windows, although lacking some important features but it does wonders for quick coding and WordPress theme editing, because it has highlight syntax for PHP, html, CSS and more.

3. SongBird (memory whore)
With this application think Firefox and then think music player. The real wonder with this player is its open source and has Firefox add-ons. Another great feature of this application, it can read iPods, iPhones and other devices so transferring music from the library to an external device is super fast. Also come with hotkeys and iTune feel and design.

4. Rocket Dock
Because I’m a sucker for a Mac OSX feel, I make my windows have a similar dock. This dock does wonders, it comes will a lot of themes and can be but anywhere on the screen (left, centre, top, right and bottom). It can also be edited and modified to an extreme proportion.

5. Google Chrome
The only reason I still keep Google chrome because I already used the "make applications feature" to create a Twitter, Gmail and Hotmail application windows. Google Chrome make too many process and is a memory whore in some cases.

These are simple applications which I use everyday and I hope you try some of them. So what are the application you use?

I’ve always been a Real Player Hater and it has to be one of the most useless program ever. The only reasons, two senarios where I had to use it, one it was pre-installed crap-ware on my dell computer and then when I need to listen to some Qu’ ran from Arab websites. 

For years I have been going on without needing Real Player, but some dimwitted reason, someone upload a .rmvb content on mininova.org without much choice, I unwillingly jump for the download the installed to see some pretty horrifying changes; it bloat city comparable to Vuze and Vista. I soon uninstalled the crap-ware and went to convert the files to AVI, but my converted doesn’t support that crap, so I needed a new converted which then asked for the codecs to be installed. Headache of searching, I found something called RealMedia Alternative, which only installs the codecs necessary to watch the file. Meaning that I can play the soon-to-be-murdered format on any player.

I’m a big fan of Blizzard and Their StarCraft was my favourite till WoW. Warcraft is my love till StarCraft II comes out. I don’t follow the update of Blizzard Developers, but it seem they announced that the SC-II game is so massive that they’ve decided to split the single-player campaign into three different games – the usual Protosss, Terran and the ugly Zerg. In the original SC, as we all know, we had 30 missions that would take us through all the three races, but with SC-II developers realised that there were was just too many content. What the developers might do is split the game into Three 36 missions long campaigns or really shit single-player reapportion of the game.

What might that mean?
We might have to buy each race as an expansion pack or each campaign on a CD. Am I happy that i’ll have to pay for three games in order to complete the game and maybe be able to play the full multi-player? no, but I’m understanding the situation, and it’s not like they’re implementing spore-like DRM. Also, might I add that no one is pointing a gun at you saying “You Fucking HAVE TO FINISH THE CAMPAIGN!!!!!!!.” god knows that most people will end up downloading whichever copies they don’t own anyway.

I am happy as long that all these extra game play doesn’t affect Battle.Net. Because Multi-player is the single reason SC is the best Strategy game. If I know Blizzard they will implement the best way to make money.

I owned a Ds since it came out. I sold the first generation then got the new Lite version. The Lite didn’t survive the destructive hands of my sister(picture below).

Announced few days back, the new DSI is to be the third version to complement the existing system (lite) and with some new features. Reading on some websites, forums and blog a lot of people have been bashing the system as Nintendo Drops the GBA slot for exchange the device is slimmer (but people are stupid. What do they know?). The new system will cost Ds Lite + £10($20), so people who just bough a DS Lite got owned.

Just created my first userstyles.org Style for firefox. Userstyles gives the Firefox ( and other Mozilla stuff) a platform where CSS can be used to change the way a browser looks without themes or background editing. What I created is something simple, myself I am huge Chrome fan and the idea of the tabs at the top is what inspired me.

1. Download the FF Addon, Userstyles
2. Go to this and click ‘Load into Stylish”

This is something I wrote long ago and was in my draft folder … It feels so gay reading my old writing

For me being Arab is a struggle… I have to prove I am Arab and not Turkish, Pakistani, Iranian even Jewish (big nose doesn’t help) .  And the reaction when I say Tunisia ..

… And always on the line of something against Africa … HIV etc (all jokes of-course)

Sometime  I can’t bothered. And other time, I would go with the country I find fun and most of the times it either Turkish or Pakistani … depending on the situation. Why? There some nice Turkish girls in college and with Pakistani … well I fit in with the Pashto crowd.

I like to use the idea of people not knowing what country I am from, and what religion for jokes. I did A level maths for a few months in college … 1. ITS HARD 2. ITS BORING … anyway … I told this Asian boy, I was Jewish … and he got up and moved to the other side of the room … I still find it funny.

Also people in my class still think, I am Shiite and I would hit myself every year … lol. I get questions … why you hit yourself? I always make up random shit … still can’t be bothered to find out why they do it. * Nothing against Shiite by the way*

Arab isn’t a race ( We semitic?) – which sucks … In application forms they don’t have White-African or Middle-Eastern (even though I am not) … so I have to go with ‘Other’  which is cool .. so if anyone racist he wouldn’t know what I am… hope it benefits me when looking for work.

Arabs are not all Muslim and even if we were … what makes you think we are terrorists. Arabs are human and just because we have few bad apples doesn’t mean we are all rotten. We also want to live and dance, sing and laugh get rich, mary, have kid, have jobs and travel without the “random” search.

When I first moved to the UK, I wasn’t treated andthe area, was mostly white. Not sure if it was of my young foolish age or just I had memory of my ideal world. Now decade or so later – It feels weird … maybe just London. Memories are what keeps me happy, why? because tomorrow I can’t promise myself that happiness – I know that it will make sense if you think hard … being treated different is no fun.
