It's in middle of campus... strictly speaking... it is not in the school's property but just in between. (Alton Street). This giant crane is about picking up this huge pole. One of the mobile phone network provider decided to elect the Cell-Phone Tower on footpath.
I'm not sure if that is good thing or not though... (I'm not with this provider, BTW.)

Like I said, we continue to have a lovely autumn to make up for the non-summer. Why, the only rain we had was the entire week Ben took time off from work, but never mind!

At the far end on the right is the Nelson Police Station; the building behind the lovely tree, from memory, houses such bodies as Department of Conservation, though I'm not 100% sure because there may have been some changes in the last couple of years.

Chez Eelco Revisited

A collection of artwork donated to Eelco Boswijk and Chez Eelco cafe is on auction at Refinery ArtSpace at the moment to raise funds for Nelson Arts Council. I understand Eelco moved out of his big house and had to let go of some of his treasures, and his family donated these to Arts Council.

Walking into the gallery was eery as there were some works that used to look down at us as we sipped coffee, listened to different languages spoken on any given day, and in my case, ate lunch every week day for one year until suddenly, one day, I found the place closed. We also bought our very first New Zealand painting at an exhibition at Chez, pronounced in New Zealand like "chaise".

You can see all the pieces on the Arts Counsel website and even bid over the Internet if you are so inclined. Bidding closes 12.30PM , Friday June 1.

Garlic bread from Tozzetti. Hard to believe Tozzetti has never appeared in Nelson Daily Photo's almost-six-year tenure, but it must be due to my (Meg's) slackness. Or rather, every time I approach the wee bakery, I'm so busy grabbing our gazillion favorites and forget to shoot. It's even in Lonely Planet, so you know it's great.

Thin layer of clouds covered the moon but not quite see on the pic except it made little fuzzy.
