Lab Analyst- Pharmaceutical Section - Salt Lake City, UT

DESCRIPTION Do you have a science background and love working in a lab? Do you like to tinker and build things? This may be the position for you. Nelson Laboratories, Inc. is a contract Microbiology testing lab. We work with some of the top medical device and pharmaceutical companies in the world, including many fortune 500 companies. We currently have an open position for a Pharmaceutical Lab Analyst in our Pharmaceutical Section. Hours are Monday- Friday 8/9:00AM - 5/6:00PM with some flexibility required. (Occasional weekends req) DUTIES Responsibilities include: Perform the hands on testing process from set up, performance of the test, to clean up. Perform and schedule both filter manufacturing and pharmaceutical filtration studies. Must know and have great aseptic technique Perform and schedule Container Closure studies and other special studies as assigned. Maintain/order supplies and media as needed. Keep the filtration laboratory organized and clean. Successful candidates must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, organizational skills are a must and must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Individual also needs to be able to lift 10 -20 pounds on occasion. Position offers an excellent work environment and benefits package. Rate of pay is $12.00+/hour based on education and experience. EOE QUALIFICATIONS Positions require an Associate Degree or High School diploma and one year applicable laboratory experience (B.S. preferred). Hours are Friday- Tuesday 8/9:00AM - 5/6:00PM with some flexibility required/available DUTIES Responsibilities include: * The analyst position is in our Water, Plate Counts, and Microbial Limits testing lab, which requires aseptic technique and the ability to work in a biosafety cabinet for extended time periods. * The ability to perform routine tasks. * Attention to detail and written instruction. * Working individually and also in a team environment. * Documentation and organizational skills to manage a large sample volume. * Perform the hands on testing process from set up, performance of the test, to clean up.
