Nematron Europe is pleased to announce two further developments in the EP1000 Series Fan-less Touch Panel PC. The first one is the new 24VDC Power Supply: the EP1016 can now be ordered with a 24 Volt DC power supply. Power cable connection is made through the convenient Phoenix type un-pluggable screw terminal connector. The second development is the addition of an Optically-isolated RS485 Port. You now have the ability to specify an optically-isolated RS485 port to complement the RS-232 ports.<div class="feedflare">

With the increasing uptake of Windows Vista and the upcoming end of Windows XP, system designers now have to plan for the inevitable and avoid designing new applications based on XP which customers and end users may soon be complaining are either not “future-proof” or just plain out of date. For these applications, this means using Vista and choosing a hardware platform that supports Core 2 Duo CPUs, 64-bit applications, more memory, high speed drives and (increasingly) RAID. Nematron now has the platform which delivers all these features.Nematron Europe is pleased to announce the introduction of additional system unit options for its popular Formula Series. The new options, including a range of Intel Core TM Duo powered systems, give rise to greater choice, flexibility, performance and cost-effective configurations.<div class="feedflare">

Nematron Europe is pleased to announce the release of the PowerView 8000 Operator Interface Terminal. The all-new PowerView 8000 Series hardware builds on the successful PowerView 500 platform and brings PC like expansion to Operator Interface Terminal applications. Focusing on the growth in small system expansion needs, the PowerView 8000 is a veritable Goliath. Impressive support for an array of USB devices from Memory Stick to bar code readers and printers lead the PowerView 8000s extensive hardware support capabilities. Add an IDE interface for hard disk drive, a Compact Flash socket, Wi-Fi and Audio support, and PowerView 8000 takes down previous hardware barriers to using Operator Interface Terminals in many applications. The resistive touch screen is available in display sizes of 5.6”, 8.0”, 10.4”, 12.1” and provides crisp, high resolution 64K colour images. A 65Mb System Memory, 32Mb Flash Memory, 3 USB Ports, 3 Serial and a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet Port, IDE Interface, Compact Flash and VESA mount provide a flexible and comprehensive specification on which to build.<div class="feedflare">

Over the past few years increasing competition in the logistics and transportation industries have resulted in a number of developments for these companies. In addition, rising fuel costs have forced many to devise methods of more efficiently coordinating their shipping fleets. The question was how to get this technology into a small and rugged enough system to withstand the unforgiving 24 hour operation in often harsh environmental conditions. The answer is the new 800 Series Embedded System designed specifically for vehicle operation and highly mobile applications.<div class="feedflare">
