I thought I should share some youtube videos of the two teams to get us in the mood for the game; not that we need any motivation for it. The videos show an array of classic goals and moves by the two teams across several seasons. As you can see, players may change, but the teams' philosophies remains the same. Arsenal's style of play might have changed a little bit since the great counter-attacking team of 2003-2004 torwards more possession and ever shorter passes. That said, the possession, pass and move mantra is evident in both teams across several seasons.

The War of Attrition Round 32 + Fans Favorite Lineup

Another weekend, another round of games.

Arsenal travel to the Land of the Living Dead that is St. Andrews, Chelsea host Villa and United are away to Bolton. All three teams have very tough matches and will be hoping not to slip up as every point lost becomes costly as the race for the title hots up. Arsenal are without defender Vermalean who sits out the match through suspension. Birmingham had a game midweek, where they lost to Sam Walrus' Blackburn. The Anti-Christ might have done us a favor, again, by loosening the chips in the blues impressive armor. Regardless, the boys in Red and White will be gunning for the three points on offer.

The weekend cannot come quickly enough for me and as such, I have been daydreaming about what would constitute a perfect outcome for me; here it is;

1. Arsenal thrash Birmingham, with an Eboue goal as a cherry on top
2. Villa stick one up Chav's Arse
3. Fulham wipe off the surface of the earth any lingering breathe of Phil Brown
4. Pompey draw first blood over Spurds
5. Jacky Boy scores a winning wonder-goal against United;

The next thing that I would normally do at this point would be to suggest my favorite lineup but I dont think there is much fun in that. So, I decided to allow for fans to vote for their favourite lineup.

What can I say? The Enigma, the monster....everyone just bounces off Diaby. Add King Eboue to the mix and you have the perfect recipe...

Big Sam Walrus & Elhadji Diouf Act1a

So Liverpool failed to trouble United at OT. Another win for them and they stay two points clear of Arsenal. In all honesty, I didnt really expect Liverpool to come away with anything considering the atrocious form they have been for quite a while now. I received a call last night from a friend {a Manchurian} asking me to join him at 6:30am PST to watch the game on tele but I chose to enjoy my beauty sleep instead. Looks like I made the right call.

So of all people, in the entire universe, Big Sam 'Walrus' and Elhadji 'Sisqo' Diouf are the men we have to thank for derailing the Russian Machine's progress. I know they probably had Big 'Red Nose' Fergie in mind when scoring against Chelsea but as long as it contributes to the Chavs dropping more points, it is all well by me.

So with 7 games reminaing for us and United and 8 for Chelsea, the standings looks like this;

What it is all about

These are samples of what to expect from this blog;

First: I will be doing a Live Blog during Arsenal games and those of our top four rivals. The live blog will be only have my comments and comments directly made by readers tune in.

Second I will be doing a Reaction blog in partnership with other popular Arsenal blogs, where I will show the comments of the readers of those blogs in my posts. This is meant to show how Arsenal fans reacted during and after those games; It is also meant to just share some fun as we take the mickey out of other teams, depending on how they performed. Now to do this, I will of course need to get permission from the managers of those other blogs; for instance, I have already been in contact with Yogi at ACLFT and Pedro at Le-Grove. I hope to be in contact with other bloggers soon. I am still looking for a fair and effective way to link back to the blogs where I get the comments from.

The first live Blog will be Arsenal’s game against Westham this coming Saturday. The first real Reaction blog will be after the Aston Villa game at 12:45pm and continues right through the 15:00 Games. The next reaction blog will be after the Arsenal blog. So, there will be 3 blogs on Saturday.

I am really excited about this and I cant wait to start doing it. Right now, I am just experimenting…

Also, I am still experimenting with the site, and might move it somewhere else in the near future.
