Madonna kicked off the UK leg of her best-selling Sticky & Sweet tour last night at London’s O2 arena with a swarm of fans ready to sing and dance to her astounding catalog of hits. But like the rest of the world she couldn’t make it through her entire set without stopping for a moment to pay homage to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

With an instrumental medley that included “Billie Jean,” the opening of “Another Part of Me,” and “Wanna Be Startin’ Something” as the backdrop, her dancer, Kento, performed some of MJ’s most famous moves while dressed in full classic MJ attire.

“Let’s give it up to one of the greatest artists the world has ever known, Michael Jackson,” Madonna said as the crowd erupted into applause. “Long live the King!”

There’s one rule you have to follow when attending Diddy’s annual White Party: wear all white.

Some guests mix it up a bit with beige shoes, a yellow purse,  or go straight for the corny and wear polka dots. All of these offenses should be ticketed by the fashion police, but if you’re Chris Brown, even when you follow the rules you can still face a fashion felony.

The 20-year-old singing heartthrob looked perfectly fine in photos facing forward — he wore all white from head to toe. It wasn’t until he was snapped chatting with his pal singer/rapper/ustream lover Teyana Taylor that a bright red lightning strike pattern in the back of his hair was visible. Teyana followed suit with a few red curls of her own.

This might have been cool, oh, five years ago, but at 20, Chris is just a tad too old to use his head for rebellion.

Sean “Diddy” Combs knows how to party. He’s known for throwing the biggest and best celeb parties, but it’s his annual White Party that always takes the cake. The bash was once a staple for The Hamptons during 4th of July weekend, but Diddy has taken it to different places in recent years; this year the party was held as a luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills. Diddy along with his pal Ashton Kutcher and the organization Malaria No More hosted the swank soiree.

There were some ex-girlfriends and secret current girlfriends in attendance, but Diddy’s real date to the party was his mom Janice Combs.

He skipped the red carpet, but once inside Chris Brown wasn’t shy about having a good time. He posed with host DIddy and good friend singer/actor Tyrese Gibson.

Other guests included Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Cassie, Nicole Scherzinger, Lil Kim, and more.

Another week, another two dancers going home on the popular dance show So You Think You Can Dance. But before this week’s cast offs Karla and Vitolio were sent packing, it was time for a musical performance. This week’s performance came courtesy of original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

The adorable Aussie duo of The Veronicas stripped things down and got a little saucy for the August issue of FHM magazine. The issue features Lisa and Jess Origliasso all dolled up in the spread wearing–very little really. But don’t worry! It’s all tasteful.

During the magazine’s Q&A with the ladies, Lisa reveals who she would like to play her in a film. “I’d go with one of the girl crushes. Either Winona Ryder or Camilla Belle.” Interesting choices! Why Joe Jonas‘ leading lady? “She’s just classy and gorgeous” Lis admits.

16-year-old singer/actress Demi Lovato has had an impressive run so far in her blossoming career. Since the release of her debut album Don’t Forget, she’s seen the set be certified gold, landed a coveted opening slot on the Jonas Brothers Burnin’ Up tour and is even headlining her own with David Archuleta. She’s keeping the momentum going by releasing her sophomore album Here We Go Again later this month.

With credits like those, it was only a matter of time before others caught on to the hotness that is Demi. Women’s Wear Daily took notice of the Sonny With A Chance star and spoke with her about her new album, keeping her fans in mind with her growing fashion sense and writing more mature music.

Michael Jackson was preparing a spectacular comeback just days before he died unexpected on June 25. He had poured his soul into putting together the best show possible for fans attending his sold out “This Is It” 50 show residency at London’s O2 arena.

Sadly, they will never get to see the legend hit that stage, but thanks to concert promoter AEG we can all see a bit of what the show would have been like from MJ’s final tour rehearsal recorded just two days before he died.

In the bittersweet clip aired by CNN, Michael and his dancers run through “They Don’t Really Care About Us” from his “HIStory: Past, Present, and Future” album. Even though the clip is short, you can see the show was going to be a great one.

The Peas’ second single, “I Got A Feeling,” from their new album, The E.N.D., rises 2-1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to end Pow’s 11-week run at No. 1.

Feeling is Billboard’s top airplay gainer at radio and also sold a whopping 203,000 digital downloads.

Elsewhere in the top ten, Linkin Park rockets 30-9 with their new single “New Divide” from the Transformers 2 soundtrack, and Katy Perry scores her third Hot 100 top ten hit with “Waking Up In Vegas” at No. 10.

It could be one of the most anticipated hip hop videos in years, but Drake’s clip for his blazing summer smash “Best I Ever Had” has finally arrived.

The video was directed by none other than Kanye West at a Brooklyn, NY high school, and focuses on basketball and, erm, breasts. You’d have to be blind to miss all the bouncing boob action.

Besides a few humorous moments (when the team can’t score any points, Drake scolds the girls saying, “When you’re out there and they put that D on you, take that D! Take that D like the champions you are.” Then one player retorts, “But Drake, all you ever taught us how to do is stretch!”), the video is a colossal let down. I had expected Drizzy and Yeezy to take more advantage of the song’s summer appeal and lyrics about one special girl.

Maybe the cameos by Trey Songz, Fabolous, and Consequence will make up for some of the blahness. Check it!

Six days following the King of Pop’s death, he reigns as the King of Billboard’s Top Pop Catalog Albums chart. Nine of the top ten albums on the chart belong to Jackson as a solo artist or with his brothers in the Jackson 5, selling a combined 422,000 units (by comparison, he sold 10,000 in the week before his death).

Coming in at No. 1 is the compilation album Number Ones selling 108,000 copies, followed by The Essential Michael Jackson at No. 2 (102,000), the reissue of Thriller at No. 3 (101,000), Off The Wall at No. 4 (33,000), The Jackson 5 The Ultimate Collection at No. 5 (18,000), Bad at No. 6 (17,000), Dangerous at No. 7 (14,000), HIStory, Vol. 1 at No. 8 (12,000), and Jackson’s The Ultimate Collection box set at No. 9 (11,000).

Over on the Hot Digital Songs chart, the Jackson buying bonanza continued. 21 solo and four Jackson 5 hits charted, with six titles landing in the top ten.

“Thriller” is tops at No. 2 with 167,000, “Man In The Mirror” at No. 3 (165,000), “Billie Jean” at No. 4, (158,000), “The Way You Make Me Feel” at No. 6 (136,000), “Beat It” at No. 7 (134,000), and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” at No. 8 (125,000).

All 25 songs on the digital chart combined sold a whopping 2.6 million downloads.
