Google AdSense is one of the most popular source of income on Internet and inspiration of most of bloggers. Google's this hit product made many blogger millionaires in few years and many people relay on Google AdSense world wide including Pakistanis. Most of Pakistani publishers are either frustrated or are feared because Google has banned a large number of Pakistani AdSense accounts. Google not only banned newbies but also banned aged and company accounts such as a (popular news paper) Daily Times account also got disabled.

Google was already hardly accepting new applications from Pakistan and Google's this move has discouraged a large of Pakistani bloggers. No company would love to have lower profits and higher cost of running their business. Google AdSense is one of the best and most popular platform to make money from your blogs and websites. One of the Best thing about Google AdSense is, its free to join and they pay you with nicely. However, when you join them, they send a PIN (personal identification number) when you earn your first $10. The code reaches your home in about 4 weeks however you do not get the PIN Code, you apply for second time. But, if you do not receive the code even after applying for second time. Remove PIN Hold From Your AdSense account

I am supposing you have applied for Google AdSense PIN code 2 times and still did not receive any. Here are the steps to remove PIN hold from your account within 2 minutes.

Login in Your Google AdSense Account and Go to My Account
Click on "PIN Information Page"

Now, you will reach to a new page where you can Apply for a PIN code for 3rd Time.
Click on "Request a new PIN"

Dont worry, You dont have to wait for the PIN code to be reached in your home. Once you have applied for a PIN code 3rd time, Go back to PIN code page and you will see a new link on the same page (i.e. PIN code page) saying;

Click on "click here" link from that page, this will link will ask you to submit your documentsdisplaying your name and address as in your Google AdSense account. All you have to do is, click on that link then you will see a form, put your name, pub ID, upload your document and click on SUBMIT.

Once you have submitted your document, just wait for 2 minutes and go back to your AdSense account

You will see that, Google has removed your PIN hold. Now you can receive your payments from Google :)

Note: Earlier, Google Adsense publishers were required to submit their documents (bank statement, telephone bill, photo id etc) displaying their information as in Google Adsense account through an email. Now Google have an online form where you can upload your document and Google removes PIN hold immediately once you have submitted a document via that form.

Google adsense is one of the big and legit way to earn money on internet. Though this type of earning is not for all people, it’s only restricted to bloggers/webmasters only. Earning money through Google adsense is not easy at all, infect it’s like a business. You have to promote it and initially invest some money in order to earn decent amount of money from this method. In Pakistan if you want to earn some money through google adsense than first you should buy a fast and unlimited domain and web hosting package, which cost you around Rs.5000/- After that if you are not familiar with website programming than no worries. Just install word press onto your new web hosting account and post what ever you want to post. After six months when your blog got some traffic apply for google adsense account. This is my experience and finally I got my first payment of 110.72$ in July 2010 with nine months of hard work. The amount is less because my click through rate is very low.

Now come to the payment procedure. There are two ways through which you can withdraw money from google adsense in Pakistan, by check or by western union. First – let me start by sharing my own top Money Making Methods (updated regularly) but below that point you to some great resources and teaching on how to increase your income from blogging.

I run a variety of affiliate programs on my blogs – most of which bring in smaller amounts of money that don’t really justify a category of their own (but which certainly add up).
These include recommending quality products like these here on ProBlogger: Thesis WordPress theme, Yaro’s Blog Mastermind Coaching Program and How to Launch the F*** out of your E-Book (and others) as well as some great products on my photography blog including 123 of Digital Imaging, David DuChemin’s amazing Photography E-Books and Mitchell Kanashkevich’s great ebooks.
The great thing about many of these programs is that they are of such high quality that they sell themselves and I am being emailed from readers who sign up to them thanking me for the recommendation!

3. E-Book Sales

Last time I did a wrap up of how I make money blogging this category did not exist for me – I didn’t really have any of my own products to sell at all. However in the last year or so I’ve released 3 E-books – 31 Days to Build a Better Blog,The Essential Guide to Portrait Photography and Photo Nuts and Bolts: Know Your Camera and Take Better Photos. While these products all only sell for under $20 they certainly add up and some months this has been my biggest category of income. The reason they were only ranking at #3 in the last month was that I didn’t do a product launch (I wrote about one launch which brought in $72,000 in a week here). This is an income stream I see growing as I add more E-books to my range (expect 3 in the coming few months).

4. Continuity Programs

This is another newer category for me but one that continues to grow.
A continuity program is a site where you earn a recurring income from people who subscribe to a service you offer.
For me this includes two sites – ProBlogger.com and Third Tribe Marketing. Both programs are membership sites and generate monthly income from the thousands of members that they have as a part of them.

5. Private Ad Sales/Sponsorships

Private ad sales directly to advertisers have fallen for me in the last year (they previously ranked #3 on this list). This is partly due to a change in my own focus but also partly due to the economy as it is. I should note that this area does vary a little from month to month depending upon the campaigns we’re asked to run – we’ve had a couple of months where it actually ranked #2 in the last year.
This includes ad sales of the 125 x 125 ads here at ProBlogger as well as a campaign or two atDigital Photography School.

6. Chitika

Chitka continues to be a great performer for me on my blogs. They traditionally have worked best on product related blogs although theirPremium ad units now convert well on a larger range of blogs.
While I’ve focused a little less on Chitika in the last 6 months (mainly as I’ve released my own products and moved a little away from advertising) they do continue to perform well where I use them and over the time I’ve been using Chitika they’ve now earned me over a quarter of a million dollars – as a result I can’t recommend them enough!

7. Amazon Associates

Amazon’s affiliate program has been one of my big movers in the last 12 months. I used to make a few odd dollars from it – however in recent times it has become a significant earner for me (in fact it’s now earned me over $100,000 since I started using it). Christmas time (and the lead up to it) is a particularly good time for Amazon – last December it would have ranked #2 on this list.

8. ProBlogger Job Boards

The job boards here at ProBlogger continue to grow each month in the number of advertisements that are being bought. This enabled me to invest most of the money that they’d earned a while back into getting a new back end for the boards and to redesign them. These job boards now bring in over $1000 a month in revenue which is pretty nice considering that they are so low maintenance to run. They also offer a service to readers and add value to the overall blog.
The only problem that I face with the job boards is that there are so many bloggers looking for work that the demand for jobs far exceeds the supply. On the good side of things is that advertisers are reporting getting amazing quality of applications.

9. Speaking Fees

I get asked to do a lot of speaking and increasingly they are paid opportunities. I’m not able to do as many as I would like (mainly because I live in Australia and most of what I’m asked to do is overseas and I only travel 2-3 times a year) – however in April I did a couple of events and the income was enough to include in this list.

Other Income

In addition to all of the above there are many smaller incomes. Many of these are from smaller advertising programs that I test but none are big enough to really rate a mention here.
The other income stream that there was no actual money from in April was book royalties from theProBlogger Book. These are only paid every 6 or so months (not in April). It’s probably also worth mentioning that authors don’t tend to make a whole lot of money on book royalties – you don’t write books to get rich (unless you sell a lot of them).

There must be one thing stopping you from promoting affiliate products from popular affiliate product sites like Clickbankor any other affiliate program for that matter: you don’t have a website.

As you well know, affiliate marketing is best promoted in websites using contextual advertising. This usually means that the product must be somewhat related to your website.

However, contextual advertising will only work if the website has already established credibility and can drive in a huge amount of traffic. Obviously, that’s easier said than done, so you might as well try promoting affiliate products using other techniques. But are there any in the first place?

AFFILIATE PRODUCTS

If you don’t have a website that fits with the demands of top-selling affiliate products, you shouldn’t lose hope just yet.

Affiliate marketing can also be done in a number of ways that are just as effective when done with a website. And by effective, I mean profitable!

All it takes are three fairly easy steps…

Step 1: Write High-Quality Articles

After you have chosen your affiliate products of your choice, you should proceed to choosing your targeted keywords. You can do this by using keyword tools like Wordtracker. Choose the keywords that have the least competition and can drive targeted traffic.

With the best set of keywords, proceed to writing high-quality articles about the affiliate product. Now, where do the keywords come in? You basically have to sprinkle them throughout the articles with about 2 to 5% keyword density.

Be careful not to go overboard or search engines will tag your article as spammy and will therefore not come out in the search engine results.

Search engine optimization, or SEO, sounds big and complex, but it’s really just about placing the keywords right so search engines like Yahoo! and Google can crawl through your website and place it among the top searches.

Now, the articles must be informative and have value to the reader. It’s the only way they’ll read through the article! Further, it will establish your credibility as a writer and therefore create a connection that will compel your reader to buy your affiliate products.

Step 2: Submit the Articles to Article Submission Sites

With search engine optimized articles to boot, it’s now time for you to get your articles out to the public. How exactly will you do this?

You are going to submit your articles to article submission sites. Basically, these are sites that contain a repertoire of articles of different topics ranging from dating to housing options. It’s that varied! By submitting your articles to these sites, you are publishing your articles in the web free of charge and without any website!

In other words, you don’t have to worry about not having a fully managed website as these articles can stand on its own and get the traffic you need to earn a commission. Here are a list of article submission sites to get you started with:

Of course, there are many other submission sites for affiliate products, but why am I mentioning these ones? These websites have a Google PageRank of at least 5, which is credible and strong enough for search engines. You want the articles of your affiliate products to appear in the best article directories, don’t you?

Ezinearticles.com remains to be one of the largest article submission sites. Its standards are quite stringent, so you have to watch out for your grammar and content.

Step 3: Drive Traffic to Your Articles

Once you see your articles published in the article directories of your choice, the next step to gaining profits from the products is getting word out not about the product but about the articles.

There are two ways to do this: sending email messages and participating in forums. You can send email blasts if you have a large contact list. Choose snippets of the articles that are interesting, slightly redo them in a more conversational tone, include links of the products, and then send it to a mass of people online.

Another way, participating in forums, is more manageable if you think your email contacts are not interested in the affiliate products you have to offer. You just have to get to the forums where issues related to your products are being discussed.

For example, if you are marketing electronic devices, you will find a plethora of forums talking about electronics and the varied opinions of people about certain electronic products. Why don’t you participate in these forums yourself and give them a piece of your mind.

You don’t have to talk in a robotic and hard sell manner; you can just simply give them a piece of your mind and tell them about the affiliate product you strongly believe in. In the Internet, honesty in tone is valued in forums more than anything else.

With these three easy steps, nothing should stop you now from marketing affiliate products. What’s even better about these steps is the absence of added costs. While a website will have to be regularly maintained and renewed for domain registration, articles will stand the test of time and will give you passive income.

Shoot to Sell: Taking Better Photos for eBay, Etsy & Instructables

eBay: Last bastion of the truly awful product shot.

The fuzzy focus, the baleful tinge of the fluorescent lights, the blinding glare of the flash. It’s almost depressing.

(Except for that one listing where you could see the naked photographer in the reflection of the mirror he was trying to sell. That was hilarious.)

If you sell stuff online, you know that you need attractive pictures to sell your wares. If you’ve ever done a tutorial for sites like Instructables, you’ve run into the same issues.

Don’t sweat it. It’s not really too difficult, you just have to put a little thought into it.

Remember, if you can make somebody want to buy Aunt Tilly’s ceramic owl collection, you can conquer the world.

How to Take Better Photos for eBay, Etsy & Instructables

If you read our food photography tips a little while back, this may sound eerily familiar. The fact is, the principles are similar. It’s all about making something look more appealing, whether it’s a bracelet or a baguette.

LIGHTING

If you can find a way to use natural light, do it. Set up your shot near a window (or near a white wall if it reflects enough window light).
If you have a yard and the weather’s nice enough to shoot outside, drag a card table out back and set up an impromptu studio. Early morning and late afternoon light will be easier to shoot in than harsh, direct, noontime sun.
If you can’t use natural light, be sure to use the white balance function on your camera. You can also use image editing software like Photoshop to clean up your photos after the fact. Play with the color balance to take out any color casts you may have picked up from artificial lighting, and lighten the photos if they’re too dim. This is particularly important if you’re trying to show the color of your item.
Using a flash may work for tutorials and larger items, but won’t work for small items like jewelry. You can try our film canister flash diffuser or tape a little piece of white tissue paper over your flash to avoid glare.
If you have a cardboard box lying around, you can make your own softbox. You’ll be amazed how playing with lighting can improve your photos.

BACKGROUND

Keep your backgrounds as simple as possible.
If your worktable is ugly but it’s the only place you can set up, cover the surface with some nice paper from the art supply store. Tablecloths work fine if they’re well-ironed; wrinkles will distract the eye.
For tutorials, light backgrounds tend to work best. Color can work if it’s not too distracting and doesn’t clash with what you’re photographing.
For small items such as jewelry, you can use more interesting backgrounds.Gemmafactrix uses vintage books and industrial surfaces to show off her jewelry on Etsy, and it works great. Wood, paper, cloth and metal can all add a little something to your images.
For tutorials and larger items like clothing, you’ll have to pull back to get everything in the shot. Make sure the rest of your studio/ apartment/ mobile command unit isn’t visible in the shot. Set up by a blank wall and use it as a backdrop.
Be aware that if you have windows or mirrored surfaces in your shot, your reflection will show up as well. Don’t forget to put some pants on unless you want to become an internet phenomenon.

HOW TO SHOOT

Use a tripod even if you think you have enough light. When you’re taking photos of small objects, a little camera shake can end up blurring major details.
For small items, get in as close as you can. Make the viewer feel like they could reach out and touch it. Use the macro setting on your camera.
If you have an SLR, you can pick up a couple of close-up filters- they’re a cheaper alternative to fancy zoom lenses.
More importantly, don’t get in so close that your camera can’t focus. Good sharp focus is more important than filling the frame.
Since you’re going to use these photos on the web, you can always take the photo at a higher resolution and use Photoshop to crop in tight. You’ll probably still have resolution to spare when you’re done.
If you’re taking pictures of a tutorial and need to show your hands performing a step, get a friend to help you out. It’s just too hard to get a good photo of your own hands, unless you make yourself an amazing headcam.

WHAT TO SHOOT

Take pictures from every angle you can think of, and shoot way more than you think you need to.
If you’re doing a tutorial, document every step of the process- you may not think you need that shot, but you might want it later on. Take a picture of all the ingredients together before you start, and take a few nice feature shots of the final product.
If you’re photographing clothing or jewelry, get a picture of someone wearing it. Ask one of your cute friends to model for you.
If you don’t want to model something on a person (like one-of-a-kind earrings you don’t want to sell after they’ve been in somebody’s ears) put a familiar object in the shot for size comparison.
If you’re trying to sell something, include a variety of pictures. A close-up detail, a shot of the whole thing, and a couple of different angles will help people see what they’re getting.

5 Simple Steps to Writing a Good Description

Other writers will give you a spiel about how writing an eBay description is like writing sales copy. And they're right, but take their advice second. Take this advice first!

Give Your Description a Title

This doesn't have to be the same as your auction title. In fact, if you do your auction title to maximize keywords, your title can be a bit hard to decipher. Repeat the title here in simplified form. Here's an example:

Auction Title: TOURISTER AMERICAN Vintage SUITCASE Suitcase Turquoise
Description Title:American Tourister Escort 23" Blue or Turquoise Travel Suitcase
Accurately identify the item--call it what it is, not what it isn't. Don't call it a Ty beanie baby when it's a Russ plush toy or say that it is similar. EBay calls this keyword spamming and treats it as a misleading practice.
Describe the Item

Start by telling the buyer what this item is. Here's an example:
Up for auction is this nice little suitcase in good condition outside and inside. American Tourister is known for it's sturdy construction.

Give the buyer a story that they can relate to. Tell how you acquired the item. If there's a history or details about the manufacturer that aren't common knowledge, add these.
Give Details

Your buyer can't touch or see the item, so describe the item as you would look at it in a store. You have to fill in the details.Here's an example:
This has a light blue or turquoise textured outside. It has a combination lock with the combination written on a slip of paper inside. Inside is a blue quilted fabric with 3 pouches. One pouch is lined with vinyl. There are ribbons for tie down straps. The case measures approximately 23 by 15" by 7".

Give the weight, height or other dimensions. Specify color, texture. Describe any maker's marks even if you have a photo.

Separate this information with a title like this.

Size: 23 x 15 x 7 inches
Describe the Condition

Note any flaws. Honesty here won't cost you, but dishonesty will. Here's an example:

Condition: Medium or typical wear. One stain on the inside which I haven't tried to remove. No rips or tears. The exterior has one dent in the trim which is shown on the third photo. This does not interfere with the function of this case in any way.

For glassware, tell if it has any chips or cracks. For earthenware, tell if it is chipped cracked or crazed. For paper goods, tell if there are tears, worn edges, or stains. For clothing, tell about stains, general wear, tears, repairs made previously or missing buttons. You get the idea.
Include a "call for bids"

Highlight how desirable this item is. Ask the buyer for their bid.Here's an example:
This neat travel suitcase would be great to store and carry craft and sewing supplies. This is being offered with no reserve. The high bidder will own it at the end of the auction. Bid now to make this yours.

If you can give the buyer an idea how this item would fit into their own life, use this to highlight how desirable this is. Otherwise talk about how desirable the item is to others like the buyer.

Organize Your Description for Maximum Sales

Organizing your description makes it easy to read and makes it quicker for buyers to decide to bid on your item.

Separate the five sections of a good description by using html for an "unordered list" or by clicking on the "unordered list" option in your editor. Here's how a good description is organized:

Item: your simplified description title goes here
Description: your general description goes here
Size: substitute color, texture, weight as appropriate to your item
Condition: your sentence on condition goes here
put your "call for bids" here

Here's the example from above all put together in a complete description:

In Text Advertising Explained - Terminology, Technology, and Ideology

What is In Text Advertising?

Definition: In Text Advertising is a method of advertising where advertisements are placed as hyperlinks within existing text. It's a strong website monetization tool and an effective online advertising method.

What is In Text Advertising?

Definition: In Text Advertising is a method of advertising where advertisements are placed as hyperlinks within existing text.

This short definition encapsulates the whole concept in just a few words, but as it usually happens with short explanations, each of the words count and some further clarifications are required.

First of all, it's a method of advertising. There are many reasons to include hyperlinks within text online - in fact, that's the essence of the Web - but here, we're discussing a form of advertising where commercial interests direct the selection of links - it's advertising. Second, the term "advertisements" - or ads for short - is important. There are other types of in-text placements that only add content and links to related content - these methods are not part of the advertising method, since they don't include the placement of ads (that lead to advertising content).

And third, the last part of the definition - "within existing text" - separates in-text advertising from other types of contextual advertising. While contextual ads can relate to the text but appear next to the text (like Google Adsense), and paid-for content can lead to writing text which is in fact an advertisement, in-text ads are placed inside content which was created independently and separately from the advertising.

In Text or In Line?

The market has spoken - In Text Advertising is the chosen term. However, in its early days, this method was also called In Line Advertising, and even in one word Inline. This name is less accurate and also, it simply didn't spread enough before "In Text" was coined and adopted.

There is still a question about the hyphen. Just as we all send emails to one another, and have stopped using e-mail, I believe In-Text will evolve into Intext (or at least InText to begin with), mainly because it's quite difficult to read it without the hyphen (the mind looks for other words to follow the word In). For now, capitalizing helps reading, so the choice is between in-text and In Text.

Captain Hooks

Once an existing text is subject to in-text advertising, it is scanned, analyzed, and then hyperlinks are added within the text highlighting specific words or sentences. Each of these highlights is called a hook. Why? I prefer believing that hooks are like anchors for the most relevant advertising and have the potential of giving the reader the most valuable ads; and since the term Anchor already had a different use (anchors represent a target location for an internal hyperlink), another marine term was adopted. However, a more reasonable and easy to remember explanation could be that the links are there to try and lure readers to advertisements, just like hooks lure fish. You choose. As long as you call them hooks as well, so we're all on the same page.

The number of hooks per a certain volume of text is an important factor, and so is the length of each hook; but before we go there, let's start with the fact that most hooks are formatted with double-underline... read on please.

Double Underline Links

The most common method of highlighting the links for in-text ads is with a double underline. This simple design was not in use as a symbol anywhere else online, and as such, it sent a clear message to any website's visitors - these links are special, not regular. At first, they may have attracted attention and therefore helped generate ad clicks. But soon thereafter, they became acknowledged as an accepted symbol, clearly stating to the world: this link leads to an advertisement.

As I wrote under Interruption Advertising vs. Permission Marketing, letting readers know that the hyperlinks are in fact a method of advertising is important for the success of the ads and for the overall website user experience. An informed reader is less interrupted by the double underline links while reading, and only chooses to check them out when he has genuine interest in the advertisement. This means that the visitor is giving active permission to be exposed to the advertiser's content, the best possible start for both sides. Using other underline formats, like single underline, which are also used for other types of hyperlinks, confuses readers. Although this can lead to short time increase in clicks, it will lead to longer term dissatisfaction of both the website's visitors and the advertisers. And then comes the hover%u2026

Mouse Hover

Your website's visitor reads an article, recognizes a term with double underline as an ad about a term which he's interested in, and wants to know a little more - what can he do? He simply hovers with the mouse over the link - sometimes referred to as a mouseover - and a bubble appears with an advertisement inside. He looks at the ad%u2026 if he's interested, he can click on it and go directly to the advertiser's landing page. If he's not interested, he moves the mouse away and the bubble disappears.

This active hover is a demonstration of interest by the reader - a very important aspect of this type of advertising, where permission is stronger than interruption, and all parties involved - the reader, the website's publisher, and the advertiser - should be happier with it. Despite the exposure to the ad's content, in most cases the business model is based on clicks, so the advertiser pays the website's publisher only upon a click on the ad (and not for the hover). I will discuss business models later on. For now, I wanted to linger just a little longer over the heart of it all, the bubble.

A Bubble, not a Popup

In Text Advertising uses bubbles. Informative little cartoon-like bubbles, in which the ads are placed with relevance to the highlighted term. There are different types of technology to create the bubbles, but in all cases, a bubble is not a "Popup". Why? Well, the bubbles are part of the existing web page and they do not send the user to a different location. Also, another strong proof, is that the all mighty popup filters don't block the bubbles. The most important differentiator is that they are user generated - through the mouse hover, and when the interest is gone, the user can easily make them disappear by moving the mouse away, no clicks required.

So, what is In Text Advertising?

In Text Advertising is a method of advertising where advertisements are placed as hyperlinks within existing text. In other words, it's those double underline links with the bubbles, that advertisers choose because the leads they get actually chose to get exposed to the ads before clicking, and website publishers love for making them a lot of money with minimal interruption to their user experience.
