Especially with the Google update of 2/2011 and how much it upset a lot ot marketers on the internet, thought it would be a good idea to talk about the real BASIS of internet marketing success …Content Marketing.

Content marketing is like the old story of Johnny Appleseed. That story of the guy who walked the United States just throwing apple seeds along his way. It is the same for content marketing. The content is YOUR seeds of information for people to grab hold of and be attracted back to your site.

When it comes to content marketing there are a couple of key points that you need to remember when you begin a campaign. They are as follows…

1. Market Research
This is where you have picked a product,, business or cause that you want to promote, you have to figure out who you are promoting it to. That is the market. You can begin with the keyword research tool from Google, and any number of free keyword tools that are online.

This is where you want to isolate your audience. Find out who they are and what are their needs, wants and wishes. How To Survive The Google Algorithm Update 2/2011

Everyone is bemoaning BIG BAD GOOGLE for what they did recently.

Just about 2 weeks ago, Google made an algorithm update by which they index content. It effectively reduced the relevancy of keywords and traffic from authority sites, like article submissions sites. Even some so called article authority sites saw their traffic DIVE by over 35% in just 2 days! Some sites lost their keyword relevancy or “ juice” by more than 90%. Meaning that they keywords in the content they have were not even indexed. Thousands of sites got crushed by this update.

Google states that this is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites. Sites which are low-value added for the end user. Low quality-content is not very useful for the end user.

Also, over the last two years Google has been slapping marketers who use PPC through Google. Which sent many marketers reeling,
wondering where their sales and profits are going, disappearing before their eyes and bank accounts.

Apparently Google is making some changes and that generally happens with large institutions over time. So it was nothing that really was not expected, we just did not know when and people became complacent. Depending on where you get traffic and back links, some say the worse is yet to come.

While everyone is bemoaning the changes that Google did, and are worried about their article marketing efforts, I say come on now! Well Charlie Sheen, has been ALL over the news lately and it is really and unfortunate scene. Now I am no therapist or anything like that, but it only takes a little common sense looking from the outside as we all seem to have an affinity to do.

Charlie Sheen has had a very nice career in the entertainment industry beginning in 1984 up to early March with his firing from "Two And A Half Men", where he was presumably the highest paid small screen actor, raking in some $2 Million per episode for the hit comedy.

This is where the old adage of money corrupts comes into play. Charlie Sheen had a very good income beside some very personal problems. A couple of marriages and then divorces with a total of 5 children. He has had issues with drugs and alcohol, and has been in and out of rehab over the last 13 years.

It has been a very troubling life to say the least, and hopefully he will get better from this kind of life.

This very public situation is a lesson in itself. It is a lesson that teaches to be very mindful of success and what those trappings have to ability to do.

Obama,The State Of The Union And Internet Income

Whatever you man think of President Obama on a political sense, there were some things that he stated in the 2011 State of The Union Address that made sense regarding the internet economy as a new economy.

Being that it is, there does need to be a shift to this growing part or our economy. The only way to effectively take part in this economy is through internet marketing training.

President Obama stated: "None of us can predict with certainty what the next big industry will be, or where the new jobs will come from. Thirty years ago, we couldn't know that something called the Internet would lead to an economic revolution. What we can do what America does better than anyone is spark the creativity and imagination of our people. We are the nation that put cars in driveways and computers in offices; the nation of Edison and the Wright brothers ; of Google and Facebook . In America , innovation doesn't just change our lives. It's how we make a living."

Personally, I think that he is correct. Very few people could have really imagined that the internet could really create real incomes that people actually live off of. I know that I didn't. I have been on the internet since the mid 90's. At that time, I looked at the internet as a place to connect, play games, do research, etc.... I never considered it to be a place to do ecommerce as a home based business. But now that has changed and I do see it as a place to create income for my family. I sometimes KICK myself and say why didn't make the change sooner!

Technology is rapidly chaning what we do and how we live, or make a living. With the surge of techonlogy and the changes it makes on our economies and lives. The President made remarks that other countries like South Korea, Europe and Russia have better infrastructure that we do, and that we need to catch up.

I know from research that Europe is MUCH further ahead of us in cellular technology, and has been for a long time. There are things that we need to begin to work on in order NOT to fall too much further behind.

And one thing you should understand, CHANGE IS INEVITABLE !!
What do I mean by that? The economy is changing from the industrial form to the information form. If you are not aware of that, you will get left behind !! Kiyosaki has been teaching this for YEARS !

We are not our of the woods yet. Would you be able to survive the next economic pluge when ever that would come? What "Plan B" are you starting for yourself and your family?

The NEED For Internet Marketing Training

Today I was online working and was surfing on Youtube. I came across an individual who posted that they were DONE with network marketing. It really pained me!

They had been online for 4 years and had joined a few programs with auto shipments with them. Unfortunately, they were not making the money to keep up with the auto shipments. I knew exactly what they were talking about because I was in that situation a bit over a year ago, until I got attached with NetDivvy.

Yes, yes....I already know what you are saying. Oh Geez,...I hate writing anything. It takes so much time and effort to do. I hear this from colleagues of mine all the time.

I am going to tell you what I tell them.
If you do not learn how to become proficient at article marketing you are passing up a gift that keeps on giving.

You do not have to become Shakespeare incarnate or some kind of a monk in order to be a proficient writer, but you do have to "push" yourself out of your comfort zone in order to get better. And it is easy!

First you have to realize that there are people who still read and not just watch videos, although do not under estimate the power of video marketing which we will get to in another post. Article marketing, when it comes to online marketing is a HUGELY powerful method of promoting your business, product or service to the world.

So once you have determined possible keywords, the next thing is to begin to write something compelling and interesting, relevant to not only the keyword but your business. But this is the "hard" part...huh. It does'nt have to be, at least not as hard as you think.

When you have your outline of what you want to say, then my suggestion is to just "fill it in" by being conversational in your thinking. The great thing is that the more you do the better you become. Practice, practice, practice......makes BETTER!

In this post, I want to show and explain how SEO works in a very "simple" and graphical way. Just so that as many online marketers can get the understanding. I had heard that there might have been some technical difficulty with the audio on a recent post, so I decided to make my testimony for NetDivvy in text form. But first just a little about me.....

My name is James P. Thomas, and I came from the management arena of Family Style Dining. I did that for over 10 years and I rose fairly quickly in the ranks. One of my accomplishments was taking my unit from the basement to #3 in the entire international company. Along that time line, I fell in love with network marketing. I have been a traditional network marketer since 1993. When I say traditional, I mean the weekly hotel meetings and home meetings. It was tedious, but always loved the concept of networking. Many marketers online are a litle intimidated by SEO ( search engine optimization), I know I was at first. Then through NetDivvy, I learned how to do SEO, and now I love it.

The basics of SEO is to use a keyword tool. One of the best is Google Keyword Tool

When you have an idea, think of the keywords relevant to your idea. Once you have that plugged it into the Google Keyword tool and check out the results.

What you want is to look for the Global Monthly Searches to be over 1,000, but not too high. This lets you know how many searches are done on that keyword on a monthly basis. That is good to know whether there is any activity or searches for the niche you have an idea about.

The next thing you want to do is look at the that bar graph to the center left. That is an indication of the competitiveness on that specific keyword. In other words, how many businesses or people are bidding on that keyword for Pay Per Click or whatever you have in mind for that idea regarding online marketing.

Once you have figured out those keywords and the ranges on both the global search results and competitiveness. There are certain ranges you want depending on what you want to do with your marketing.

So you have joined a company, and you are all excited about the product or service they provide. You think that it is the greatest thing since sliced bread and now you are a part of it. There is so much excitment and you feel like you are going to take the world by storm. YEAA!!

You go out and you tell your friends, family and neighbors and even your golfing club. And a couple say yea, this sounds great!
