Recent system updates

We've been busy updating infrastructure.
Systems may have been affecting database performance but we've resolved the issues over the weekend.

Two major accomplishments in the past few weeks:

- We have recently improved our course search to filter our large database of courses/clubs and tees

- We have concluded NetHandicap.com and GolfWow.com integration

- We have gained another club , this time from Italy, Bongiorno.

Upgrade of our Golf Data

DYMO label writer recalls

Because we have a nice feature for clubs to print Handicap Cards to their Dymo Label Writer.

We've received a notice that DYMO is recalling their adapter and wanted to let our customers know as well.

Please see Dymo website if you own one, they will ship you a new adapter free.

How many scores do we have in the system?

Apparently one of the competitors advertises that they have 200,591 rounds stored in their system.

We at NetHandicap have 1,2 Million rounds as of few months ago.
We actually keep them live and available on demand, not archived and ready to be searched.

New Features arrive

You can use your email address to login into our site.

The same text box will accept your email and username to login into your dashboard.

Also, Registration module has been overhauled to use new and improved technologies.

We are building documentation on all of our products , using a Wiki engine.
What this will eventually do is provide a better and more updated information for the users as well.

Maintenances release

Maintenances release was placed in production as of today.
A few issues have been fixed , various links updated.

We certainly are hoping to add another feature very soon , it will be announced via this blog.

We rolled out a new Club/Tee/Scorecard management tool

We've added and removed our legacy management software that allows us to manage our large Club, course, scorecard, tee database.

We hope to achieve a better data precision. We can keep the data up to date with the clubs and other sources as well as our numerous customers.

In the next little while we will overhaul our tracking of the user created courses/etc.

We will confirm the validity of the data with the club itself and update our public database.

We are now allowing Bermudian clients to join

We are very happy to announce that we have setup an easy way of joining clubs on Bermuda that also follows the same rules as US clubs (USGA rules).

Bermudian clients will now be able to easily join NetHandicap.

Main System Upgraded

We have upgraded and updated our main production server.
What does this mean for you?
Our users will enjoy a quicker response, secure servers that produce the content.
This also means we're maintaining our servers to keep them up to date.

A slight interruption of service for approximately 4 minutes 10pm Eastern Time was required.

NetHandicap to re-launch its internal tools

We are always expanding and improving our own tools to help the golfers.
We are relaunching our own club management tool that will help you address inconsistency in possibly outdated course data.
It happens that we just can't track all the golf clubs and their updates so from time to time we are asked to add a Tee or edit some contact information for a Club.
Well we will be more responsive from now on.

We've worked hard to create a robust application to serve all of our users (even trial ones ).

Print Handicap Cards on Dymo Label Writer

We are proud to announce our new feature (available to clubs only for now).
Using a Committee Admin tool, a club manager may now print all the handicap cards in the same format you're used to onto a Dymo Label Writer with a click of a mouse.

In the nearest future we will add this same feature to out individual users.
