AKG has been around since 1947, so they probably know what they are doing by now. One of the latest additions to their line are these K 330 in ear headphones. Weighing only 3g, they provide professional high output and frequency response. The buds block out ambient noise when placed in your ear canals, even though your mother told you not to put anything in there smaller than an elbow. Compatible with any portable device, including iPhone, they come with a carrying case and cable winder.

You know if Oprah digs it, it is a must have. A prime example are these Virtual Mobile Home Theater Video Glasses. Connect to a portable DVD player, iPod video, game console or TV tuner and you get a glorious 50" worth of viewing on its virtual TFT-LCD screen that appears at a 2M distance. We can see this as a must have for frequent fliers or traveling toddlers who keep asking, "Are we there yet?"

A University of Tokyo team has developed a special paint that can block out WiFi signals. The substance, which costs about £10 (~$16.00) per kg, contains aluminum-iron oxide that resonates at the same frequency. Future applications may include keeping wireless networks secure, shielding for hospital rooms, blocking phone calls during social or business events and making clothes that protect humans from electromagnetic waves.

Debuted at this week's Tokyo's Digital Contents Expo, it stands about 10.6" with a diameter of 5.1". With support for 24-bit 96x128 resolution color, this may just be the next generation of digital frames. The company also plans to launch an LCD TV with 3D capability, and will build in support into the PS3, VAIO laptops and Blu-ray players.

In a most bizarre cross promotion, Energizer, MTV and Harmonix have teamed to create a contest for rock bands. Entrants can create a band profile with the Energizer Rock Band "Advance Into Overdrive application on Facebook. Then they must beg buds to vote for them and the "most creative, interactive, entertaining, and fan driven page" wins. Here's the kicker. The first prize is being able to rock out for 20 straight hours at the NY Times Square MTV store on Nov .13 and will be streamed on Energizer's site. This is supposedly because their Advanced Lithium batteries can go 20 hours longer than their MAX standard alkalines.

Not only will this push batteries, it is also meant to promote the new in-game feature 'Battle of the Bands' that will allow players to compete against others online. Okay, but couldn't they just have given out coupons or free samples?

Sonos has released a new wireless system that you can control via your iPhone. The Sonos ZonePlayer S5 can play music from your iTunes library, 25,000 IR stations via your router and online streaming services such as SIRIUS and Pandora. Your iPhone/iPod touch effectively becomes a remote or you can still utilize your PC, Mac, or Sonos Controller 200. Should you receive a call, the music will continue. The ambitious device can easily be set up in other rooms with wireless add-ons. Pre-order if you want to get a ZonePlayer ASAP.

Vonage is now offering a VoIP app for international calls via iPhone, iPod touch and Blackberry. When a call is received, the cell phone number will be displayed on caller ID and a credit card number must be input for access. The company claims that Vonage Mobile will save users up to 50% on calls and for now is offering per minute rates. Later this year, a plan will be available for a monthly fee with Vonage World. The application is free from the Vonage site, Apple's App Store and RIM's App World.
