But God... we want you to truly grasp the meaning of these two words. It is a powerful two words. If it was not for those two words, this world would be a lot worse off than it is.

God steps into the midst of the world and its circumstances when it comes to our lives. Those who know God would give a witness of the truthfulness of those two words. For when life took a punch at them and bitterness and defeat depressed them, they were adrift on a dangerous sea. They would have sunk if...But God...did not take place. Not to mention the storms which catch us while we wait for life to take place.

There are some who were rich who avoided total destruction by discovering those two words. They found that money and fame or anything else in this world even though it belonged to them, could not fulfill their dreams and make them happy. They didn't feel safe or secure or satisfied. There is a void they say, deep in our souls. It is a hole that only God can fill.

Matthew 16:26 FOR WHAT IS A MAN PROFITED, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL? WHAT SHALL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SOUL? [What do you think your soul is?] Jesus Christ asked these questions of the people who were pushing in to hear Him. He took the time to understand their needs and speak to their fears.

Where is a persons mind and heart when he has too much money? Is it on others or himself? How often does he take time to be thankful? Does he have a rich full relationship with his family? Does he have real friends? How does he treat others? Was his life generous and open to those struggling to get by? Finally, I wonder how much he prays. Is God really aware of you? Don't ever give up trying to have a real relationship with the Real God. Accept His love and forgiveness, the blood He shed for you is still good and never loses its power. It is not to late for you. As you are still alive, don't ever give up your life for this world. There is a far better one ahead of you.
Never Give Up, Ever

When thinking of a competitive edge only one being comes to mind, my Father in heaven.

My questions for you today are, Who do you trust? Who do you rely on? Do you believe in our Father in heaven who will supply all your needs?

I write this blog today because I have challenged myself to creating a business that will possibly be profitable to my mother and me along with any I may employ in the future.

I have read the business books. I am reading the Writers Market book for 2010. I have read and I am reading again the book Start Your Own Blogging Business, issued by Entrepreneur magazine, and in my case the writing/blogging business can be overwhelming to say the least.

One “key point” made is to know your competition and stay on top of the latest technology for whatever business you intend to begin.

While knowing your competition can be beneficial to the business minded I would dare say that it is sometimes necessary to “NOT” research your competition until after you have invested in the basics of your business simply because seeing all the material and information on your competitors websites or in their home offices, your business may look minute in comparison.

This can be stressful and cause you doubt, despair and possibly depression and then giving up, especially when your income may depend on self-employment and in these days this may be your only option. After all if you have invested time and money in the basics of your dream business you will not so easily throw it all away.

The key reasoning I am giving here is really about your trust in the Lord. If you have spent time in prayer and trust the Lord to guide you through the tough business times who is your competition? After all the Lord loves you and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory, and if the Lord owns all things including your competitors, their materials and money what makes you think that He will not take care of you despite your competition, especially if you have truly loved Him and have given everything into His hands, in which case you have nothing to worry about.

My challenge to you today is if you truly believe you have a business in mind that will be useful to others, first, then can be profitable to yourself and your family take the leap of FAITH and pursue it despite your competition.

In conclusion, the only reason you will not succeed in business is either it was never God’s intention for you to be self-employed or you do not believe that your Father in heaven will enable you and your family to prosper. Have FAITH and may the Lord bless you mightily today.
Never Give Up, Ever

Try Again

Albert Einstein did not speak until he was 4-years-old and did not read until he was 7. His parents thought he was "sub-normal," and one of his teachers described him as "mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in foolish dreams." He was expelled from school and was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School. He did eventually learn to speak and read. Even to do a little math.

Louis Pasteur was only a mediocre pupil in undergraduate studies and ranked 15th out of 22 students in chemistry.

Henry Ford failed and went broke five times before he succeeded.

R. H. Macy failed seven times before his store in New York City caught on.

F. W. Woolworth was not allowed to wait on customers when he worked in a dry goods store because, his boss said, "he didn't have enough sense."

When Bell telephone was struggling to get started, its owners offered all their rights to Western Union for $100,000. The offer was disdainfully rejected with the pronouncement, "What use could this company make of an electrical toy."

John Garcia, who eventually was honored for his fundamental psychological discoveries, was once told by a reviewer of his often-rejected manuscripts that one is no more likely to find the phenomenon he discovered than to find bird droppings in a cuckoo clock. (sort of a cute critique actually)

Rocket scientist Robert Goddard found his ideas bitterly rejected by his scientific peers on the grounds that rocket propulsion would not work in the rarefied atmosphere of outer space.

Daniel Boone was once asked by a reporter if he had ever been lost in the wilderness. Boone thought for a moment and replied, "No, but I was once bewildered for about three days."
Never Give Up, Ever

Afterwards, he was a failure as a businessman. As a lawyer in Springfield, he was too impractical and temperamental to be a success. He turned to politics and was defeated in his first try for the legislature, again defeated in his first attempt to be nominated for congress, defeated in his application to be commissioner of the General Land Office, defeated in the senatorial election of 1854, defeated in his efforts for the vice-presidency in 1856, and defeated in the senatorial election of 1858. At about that time, he wrote in a letter to a friend, "I am now the most miserable man living. If what I feel were equally distributed to the whole human family, there would not be one cheerful face on the earth."

Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. He was subsequently defeated in every election for public office until he became Prime Minister at the age of 62. He later wrote, "Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never, Never, Never, Never give up." (his capitals, mind you)

Socrates was called "an immoral corrupter of youth" and continued to corrupt even after a sentence of death was imposed on him. He drank the hemlock and died corrupting.

Sigmund Freud was booed from the podium when he first presented his ideas to the scientific community of Europe. He returned to his office and kept on writing.

Robert Sternberg received a C in his first college introductory-psychology class. His teacher commented that "there was a famous Sternberg in psychology and it was obvious there would not be another." Three years later Sternberg graduated with honors from Stanford University with exceptional distinction in psychology, summa cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa. In 2002, he became President of the American Psychological Association.

Charles Darwin gave up a medical career and was told by his father, "You care for nothing but shooting, dogs and rat catching." In his autobiography, Darwin wrote, "I was considered by all my masters and my father, a very ordinary boy, rather below the common standard of intellect." Clearly, he evolved.

Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive." As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."
Never Give Up, Ever
